The Father's Bitter Resentment Toward the Enemy: The Cosmic Battle Within You

Former Headquarters Church.

Matthew 23:1–12, 29–39

The Battle Between Good and Evil Centered upon Me

We all know that this earth on which we live has not become a good earth, and that the humanity living upon this earth has not become a good humanity.

Although this world is evil, it is a fact you all know well from your daily lives that human beings long for goodness, are concerned about today's lack, and yearn for tomorrow's complete figure.

Among the countless people living upon this earth today, while some are somewhat better, others are not so; while some would devote greater loyalty, some would block the path of that loyalty.

As the world is so, you yourselves must have felt many times that, when you would seek to walk a somewhat better path, when you would seek to set up something good, an element that obstructs you bars the way before you.

The more we feel that we cannot put ourselves forward as good people before the entire Cosmos, the more we resent the environment in which we are placed as an evil environment. And going further, the present reality is that we live giving the temporary excuse that, since we live in such an evil world, we have come to stand in an evil position because we have been swept up in such an environment.

Then how have things come to be so? Where lies the cause of such lamentation that one has not become a good person but, contrary to the good, has become an evil person, because of the environment? Where lies the cause? When we trace this cause, we cannot deny the fact that it has come from the requital of the Fall. Even the nouns “good” and “evil” remain because of the Fall.

When we look at the people of the world, we can divide them into those on the side of good and those on the side of evil, and into good people and evil people. Even when we look at me as an individual, we know well the fact that one side seeks to draw me, and yet another side seeks to draw me.

Just as there are good people and evil people, if there is a God, that God too must have a good God and an evil god. By inferring from ourselves, we cannot deny this fact.

Where lies the cause of the fact that, although my mind seeks to walk toward goodness, I am drawn by the environment to walk an evil path?

If we acknowledge the fact that I am not the originating subject, we cannot deny that some power, beyond me, must, without fail, be acting as the cause and motive.

It is the same as when spring comes and the spirit of spring covers the entire mountains and streams.

All those things by which I myself am bound by the feelings caused by the environment, or bound within the sin caused by the environment — these I do not move as the direct cause; rather, I move as an indirect motive under some originating power.

When one searches for goodness, one cannot but set up the absolute One; when one investigates evil, one cannot but encounter a god opposite to the absolute One. Therefore, upon our individual selves lies a grave responsibility.

If I do well, I become good; if I do not, I become evil. If I do well, I make the absolute One rejoice; if I do not, I make the evil enemy rejoice. Because human beings stand at such a crossroads, however lowly a being one may be thought to be, one is living and waging a Heavenly fight and a historical fight.

The history of humanity up to this point has moved toward a new world through thoughts and ideals. The shifting course of cultural history has unfolded to turn history toward the world of the ideal.

Looking upon this, we cannot but acknowledge the fact that the human being is not the subject; rather, the human being has done no more than act as a secondary cause, as the object partner of the first cause.

Christianity says that, because human beings have fallen and are living in a world of sin, things cannot but be so.

Human Beings, Occupied by Evil, and the Providential History

If there be the absolute One — that is, God — who comes forth setting up the ideal of goodness, there are also those things that stand opposed to that God; these are sin, the devil, and Satan.

We cannot help but define them as the enemy of human beings and, at the same time, the enemy of God. Before we assert that God exists, we must first come to know who is around us. We must come to know that around us, it is not God who is, but the evil gods, the enemies of God, who surround us.

Because human beings fell, the Creator God came to hand them over into the bosom of the enemy. As things turned out, all the things created for the sake of human beings also passed over to the evil enemy, Satan.

From the beginning, God is the master of our minds, the master of our bodies, and the master of our daily lives; yet, through certain woes, we human beings betrayed God and have gasped in a position contrary to God's Will.

Through whom did things come to be so?

We must come to know the fact that things came to be so through the evil god, the enemy of God.

In the human being, there is a body, and there is a mind. Going further, there is a heart. In dealing with the world equipped with heart, mind, and body, we cannot do so apart from the stage of life that has become tangled with circumstances.

Today, who occupies this world that we feel and see and touch and eat and live upon? Not God who governs it; rather, Satan, the enemy of God, occupies it.

Therefore, God seeks to turn back this world, governed by the enemy Satan, and to restore it to its original state. This is the providence of salvation.

How must this be done?

Without making the enemy surrender, it cannot be restored. In time to come, a great battle shall be waged in Heaven and on earth, and that battle is the battle that God wages to subjugate the enemy, the devil, Satan. This is the greatest battle.

In the course of history, human beings have fought region against region, tribe against tribe. To resolve such fighting, God has been pulling human beings to the side of good. When they are pulled to the side of evil, He pulls them again, leading them from the individual all the way to the world. At times, it appears that the side of evil has won, but at last, He leads history forth to the side of good.

Now we must come to know the great enemy. What kind of enemy is the great enemy? An individual enemy, against whom one grinds the teeth and seeks revenge, is nothing.

Who is the greatest enemy among enemies?

Satan, the devil, the evil god, who shattered this world in which God sought to bring about the great undertaking of creation, that very one is our great enemy. He is the enemy of the entire created world and at the same time the enemy of all of us, of all humanity. In the course of avenging this enemy, human beings are being used as the material for that battle.

The battle has already begun. Even at night, while you are sleeping comfortably, the God of goodness is fighting the battle to repel the enemy. Whether by night or by day, He is fighting this battle.

You must avenge the enemy. The movements of such a great enemy who, before us, eyes our life, shatters our ideal, defiles our historical course, and seeks to drive us into the pit of evil, appear upon the earth. For this reason, when some incident arises, centered upon that incident, a right side and a left side come into being.

Where there is a left wing, there is also a right wing. There is a front and a back, an above and a below.

The region occupied by Satan is the entire Heaven and Earth. This earth is the region occupied by Satan, the region occupied by the enemy.

Originally, human beings were not made to live occupied by the enemy, but because they violated the master's teaching, because they walked the path of dying by violating the master's command, they became prisoners of the enemy. Prisoners.

Today's humanity has multiplied and come down as such a tribe. Within Heaven and earth, there is a great enemy; he is the historical enemy and the enemy of this present age. He may also become the enemy of the future. He is the enemy of humanity and, at the same time, the enemy of all things and the enemy of God.

The Body and Mind of the Human Being as the Operations Headquarters of Good and Evil

If a historical battle, or a Cosmic time of struggle, is to come, and if there is to be a righteous elite force that, standing at the very front, can exterminate Satan and make him surrender, that force must without a doubt be Heaven's sons and daughters.

What is the purpose of religion, of goodness?

It is not to live well in comfort. It is not to live so well upon the earth as to be envied by others, but to exterminate the enemy Satan, who, going beyond me, encroaches upon and tramples even my descendants, and to drive him from the face of this earth.

This is the purpose of us human beings, the purpose of God, and the purpose of the entire created world. It is also the purpose for which we have fought up to now.

Your body is not your own. Even the food you eat is not your own. Even your body, which moves after eating, is not your own. It is not your own. Then whose is it? It belongs to the devil.

Therefore, what God has set up as the base for exterminating this devil who governs the human being is the conscience. The conscience is fighting with you, transcending time. It is fighting with this society.

It also fought in the past course of history; it is fighting in this present age; and it is your conscience that is the front-line soldier who must fight even in the future course of history.

Within my one individual self, there are the operations headquarters of Heaven and the operations headquarters of Satan. That which has its base in our conscience is Heaven; that which has its base in our body is Satan.

This conscience and body are fighting. For this reason, human beings cry out and fight, fall and rise again, pledge and again break, resolve and again grow weak—repeating such a life.

The supreme purpose that God desires is that we recover the authority of the conscience by which it can strike the body and not allow it to rise.

In terms of religion, our mind is connected to the Kingdom of Heaven, and our body is connected to hell. The God who governs the mind is God; the god who governs the body is the devil.

Why has it become so?

Beloved, even when we look at a single insect, when it deals with another in a relationship of partnership, there is no clash. Then why has it become so? It is not because God created wrongly.

Originally, God created the human body and mind so that they could give and receive infinitely as object partners — give and receive, give and receive, and again give and receive. And yet, even when one wishes to give, the other does not receive, and they only fight — this is the requital of the Fall.

Who must put this fight in order?

Who must take responsibility?

Without Heaven and the human being conducting a joint operation to put it in order, the purpose of faith cannot be attained.

However much one speaks of an ideal or vision, that purpose cannot be attained. For this reason, today's human beings assert, “Let us live by the conscience“ and “Let us aim toward goodness.” Is it not so?

Because this earth is within the realm of Satan's occupation, it has been divided into countless peoples. The customs differ from person to person, and the traditions differ. This society is governed by Satan, and traditions and customs have taken root centered upon Satan. Therefore, these Satanic forces must be exterminated.

The Conscience of the Human Being and the Providence of God

For this reason, in every age, Heaven has so worked the providence that human beings might receive a new shock to the conscience, and pioneering their minds and ideals, has, through revolution, broken down the power of Satan.

So how greatly has He labored up to this day! Within the course of history, which we have not seen and do not know, God has been fighting.

However much human beings may cry out for goodness upon this earth, they cannot continue for more than a hundred years, but God must continue the battle against the enemy until the world of goodness is brought about. Yet up to this day, God has never put the elite force of Heaven's side at the front before the enemy and given the order to march, the order to launch.

In the past course of history, God, by setting up new ideals and moving the minds of human beings, has been gathering an elite force that can conquer the evil world. This is the history up to now.

If so, there ought to be an army that can avenge God's enemy, but up to now there has been no such army.

If a good elite force is gathered, the purpose of God is to carry out a joint operation with that good elite force, to capture the enemy, the devil Satan, and to confine him within the bottomless pit. Only when this purpose is brought about will peace come upon this earth.

We must think on a higher plane. Today, ordinary people, through the feelings of daily life, regard as their enemy the one who stands opposed to them or the one against whom han has been bound through some clash with their forefathers several generations back. Yet there is an enemy greater than that. Therefore, I say, before this enemy is avenged, do not avenge any other.

Such individual enemies are not the question. If one tries to avenge an individual enemy, the good person becomes the victim. Therefore, endure.

In Christianity, while emphasizing love according to the Will of God and saying to pray for the enemy, why is the proposition of judgment in the Last Days set forth? It is not that one should pray for the enemy, Satan.

It is to pray for the human being. It is not to pray for Satan, the principal author who caused human beings to fall, but to pray for the human being who is being mocked by that enemy and made to bear vexation. Otherwise, why would the noun “judgment” have been set up?

God is the judge of public righteousness. The good elite forces of Heaven's side throughout the entire world must unite as one and, under God's order to launch, strike this evil world and capture Satan.

Until that time, each one must make preparations. You must come to know that, although God has led forth six thousand years of history to receive that day, He has not yet received that one day.

If We Held the Original Conscience Standard

The human being cannot exist apart from the mind and body. When we analyze our body and mind, does our mind absolutely stand on Heaven's side? It is not. Our minds are swayed by the environment of some thought or some ideal.

Then, where was it first encroached upon when human beings fell?

What was first encroached upon was not the body but the mind. The standard of conscience that has been at work in my mind up to now is the standard before the fall of Adam and Eve. It is not the standard of conscience that the originally good person, the completed person, ought to hold. It is a standard of conscience by which it cannot be perfectly judged whether this is right or that is right.

The standard of conscience of the unfinished Adam and Eve before the Fall has been linked to the conscience of today's humanity throughout the world. Such has been the situation.

Had they not fallen, to what level would this standard of conscience have risen?

It would have risen to a standard requiring no explanation about God. It would have risen to a standard at which one feels automatically that God is our master. Had such a standard of conscience been completed, what would have been born from the seed of that conscience? It is the heart. Love, I say.

Had the human being held such a standard, then centered upon the love of God, he would have ruled the entire Cosmos.

Love transcends time. It transcends space. For this reason, the working of the conscience also moves following the heart.

But because human beings fell, what occurred?

They could not be equipped with the standard of conscience that God originally set up — that is, the standard of conscience of an unfallen, completed Adam and Eve.

The human being could not be equipped with the heart of an unfallen, completed Adam and Eve.

Had Adam and Eve, according to God's plan of creation, been completed and equipped with a completed heart, would they not have known God?

They would have known and more besides. They would have known who the angels are, and what all things are.

The human being, as the lord of all things, was created so that, with no inadequacy in heart, in mind, or in body, he should be linked to the absolute heart of love of God and stand without lack as one who could stand in place of that absolute One.

Yet because of the Fall, the standard of the human mind set out from the standard of the mind of fallen Adam and fallen Eve.

For this reason, you do not know with your own mind whether God exists or not.

Adam and Eve, too, when God appeared and commanded them not to eat, simply believed; but when God did not appear, they acted as they pleased and so fell.

Where lies the cause that our mind cannot subjugate the body?

It lies in the fact that the standard of the mind has been pressed down by Satan.

For this reason, the minds of human beings living upon the earth today are governed by the body.

Yet because the standard of conscience that originally remains from Adam by nature does not lose its directionality of moving toward Heaven, toward the heavenly principle of relationship, it breaks through. The moment one repents the past, it explodes.

When one says, “Ah, this will not do,” it explodes. Such workings of the mind, which seek to break forth at the slightest opening, you have, in the course of your past life and in the moments of daily life, trampled upon countless times. For this reason, you are slaves of Satan, sons and daughters of Satan, I say.

If the Will of God should be completely brought about upon this earth, on the day that our conscience is filled with God's ideal of creation, this body of ours becomes no question. The body becomes no question, I say. But when this standard of conscience has not been filled to the standard that God set up, having fallen and been pressed down by Satan, today's human beings cannot rise to that principled standard.

On the Day the Original Standard of Conscience Is Set Up

Satan has set up a wall of death. What is pressed down beneath it is our body. Satan, who became the enemy of God, was originally the archangel.

If God is the subject, the archangel is the spiritual object partner. Because the mind symbolizes Heaven and the body symbolizes the object partner, Satan is acting using the human body as his foothold. Therefore, every religion strikes the body.

The purpose of religion is not to conquer some nation or some doctrine, but to conquer the body. By doing so, religion seeks to enter the original standard of conscience.

Only when one ignores all the conditions that the body demands and opens the gate of the mind and enters the standard of conscience to which Adam and Eve, unfallen, ought to have ascended, will peace begin from there.

What is the mission of Christianity?

Jesus said, "The Kingdom of Heaven is within your heart."

If you do not subjugate Satan and so make a place of rest, it is hell. Going to the Kingdom of Heaven, you say? Cast aside such delusions. As one comes to know it, you cannot go to the Kingdom of Heaven on the condition of believing alone.

The question is whether, with the strength of faith, you have become the victor who has struck down Satan, who is opposing Heaven—that is, this body. If you only pass through this, you do not go to hell. You absolutely do not.

Today's human beings speak of self-cultivation and morality, but with these, you cannot reach that standard. Yet can human beings raise their hands and surrender? They cannot. Why? Because God exists.

If God exists, somehow this path must be broken open. You must come to know this.

The fallen human being has only the desire of the world. He seeks only to govern the earth. But originally, the human being was not created merely to govern the earth. He was created to govern even the spirit world.

Yet human beings do not know this. There is a Heaven that should govern human beings, but there is no bridge by which Heaven can govern them directly through Heaven's command.

The forefather of humanity cut it off. And among the descendants, there has not been one person who has reconnected it. It is as though, although there is an operations staff at headquarters making all the plans, the telephone wire to communicate those plans has been cut. You must come to know this.

On the day that this is reconnected, a power will come forth that can fill the empty seat of the conscience. The vital force of God will flow in. That is, on the day that the original standard of conscience of the unfallen, completed person is set up, the body becomes no question.

The conquest of the body becomes no question. Not only that, having set up such a standard of mind, one must hold a bond of heart such that God cannot say He does not know it. This is what binds God and the human being in the bond of father and son.

The most important thing is to bind the bond by which God is Father and the human being is His son. Among today's human beings, is there one who has bound such a bond? There is not even one.

All the feelings that you now see, hear, and feel did not come from God. All the feelings we feel as we live today have not come forth from the standard of completion of conscience, in linkage with God's heart. They have not, I say; they have not. Then, from where have they come? They have come from the evil god. The evil god has occupied our minds. The bloodline of the evil god is linked even to our minds and to the cells of our bodies. You must come to know this.

You think the enemy is in Heaven, but your blood and flesh are the very element of the enemy, Satan. The blood and flesh are the enemy. The blood of the enemy has entered the body.

When you consider this, you must feel the gooseflesh rising upon the body. Within this lump of flesh, within these cells, the blood of the great enemy is flowing. Within your blood and flesh, the root of the enemy is connected. Up to this point, you did not know this fact. So human beings have nourished this lump of flesh well.

Because there is such inner content, religion says to strike down this enemy. Jesus said the enemy is within your household.

Did he not say that the body of the human being is a temple?

Since this body is a temple, it is also a house. Since he said the enemy is within the house, the body is the enemy. Therefore, unless one conquers this body, one cannot complete God's ideal of creation.

Then by what method must the enemy be conquered?

You must come to know this. If there is an enemy, without knowing the circumstances of how he became an enemy, you cannot conquer him. So you must come to know.

You must come to know how, beginning from Adam and Eve, the body became the enemy; how the enemy Satan mocked our forefathers; how he treated Jesus; and how he is treating me. You must come to know the historical enemy. You must come to know how he acted as the historical enemy.

You must also come to know that the enemy of this age has encroached upon me and is mocking me. You must come to know that he is an enemy who would make my life a slave forever, even into the future.

The world of such enemies is hell. You must come to know this enemy. Without knowing the enemy, you cannot make the enemy surrender.

Furthermore, to avenge the enemy, you must first come to know that there is a bitter resentment of God toward the enemy, who has taken root in Heaven and on earth. Because of whom has the bitter resentment of God toward the enemy come into being? Because of the human beings on the earth. Because of the multitudes living upon the earth, I say.

The Place Where the Human Being Should Take His Final Rest

What kind of multitude was the human being originally?

A multitude that, within God's bosom, was loved most dearly. They were the human beings who, having received God's blood, were as bones of God's bones and flesh of God's flesh and cells of God's cells, and who received God's love.

Because God created the entire Cosmos by setting up a principle, on the day that the standard is ignored, the entire created order is shattered. This cannot be ignored.

Although human beings ought to have lived, centered upon such a standard, in mutual joy, because of the Fall, they have lost that standard, and with their right hand take hold of God and with their left hand take hold of this earth. God is at work seeking to draw such human beings forth and graft them. This is the providence of salvation.

What is the Fall?

It is the betrayal of the bond of the heart with God. The Fall is the failure to complete the standard of conscience that God desired, and the betrayal thereof.

The Fall is the failure to set up God's ideal, and the betrayal thereof, I say. The focus is on the loss of the standard of God's heart.

Therefore, Heaven seeks human beings out. When seeking them out, He has not said, “Love your bodies. Love some learning or knowledge.” He has said, “Set forth seeking the love of God.” “Set forth seeking the love of God.” This is the standard by which God has, up to now, set up the path of the Way.

Without knowing such woes, without knowing how Satan became the enemy before God, without knowing what sin our forefathers committed and were driven out from God, how can you conquer the enemy?

How can you resolve the han toward the enemy?

When something has been bound, it must be unbound. To unbind what has been bound, one must break through in the opposite direction. Even if the enemies seek to keep one from passing, one must break through.

The history of humanity up to this point has been for the sake of breaking through the wall of the enemy.

Human beings know that hereafter the world must become one world, and they go forth seeking that path, but they do not know that the conscience and the heart must be unified.

How must this be linked?

When we look at the historical currents of thought, although human beings come forth toward one world, they do not know the original conscience that God desires, nor the original heart that He seeks to breathe into that conscience.

For this reason, what comes forth seeking to put this in order outwardly, environmentally, symbolically, are thoughts and doctrines. Thoughts and doctrines come forth, arousing the impressions of the conscience. But if their purpose lies in the earth, that is Satan.

Through Heaven, a movement that ignites the conscience of the human being and revolutionizes the environment, must come forth in this age. What has come forth holding one face of this is today's leftism. It is the materialist view of history.

This will, to a certain extent, gain power upon this earth. But before the doctrine that comes forth centered upon the bond with Heaven, it must raise its hand in surrender.

What kind of place is the place where the human being should take his final rest?

It is not happiness merely because the mind is at peace. Within the mind, one must pioneer a resting place of the heart. This is a somewhat difficult speech.

Even though one possesses an environment in which the mind is at peace and a standard by which one can govern the world as one pleases, if there is no core within that mind, it will not do. That core is the heart. Only when one has filled in that heart will it become the motive of all matters, and harmony be brought about.

Why are parents good?

Because the mind of the parents and my mind are the same. Because the heart is one. Because there is content that cannot be torn apart even if one tries, content that can transcend environment and transcend the age, for that reason, one finds it good.

The Condition for Going to the Kingdom of Heaven

Placed in such a time as this, what must we do — we who have lost heart, who have not grasped the center of the conscience, who possess bodies that have lost the goal of life? It cannot all be done at once. Evil things must be torn off. They must be torn off. Because the conscience is closest to Heaven's side, to the world of goodness, the conscience is the question, not the body.

Therefore, religion strikes the body. What is all this eating? One must overcome the belly of the enemy. To make the body comfortable is to give rest to Satan. One must hold hostility toward this body.

Only one who holds the conviction of taking vengeance upon this enemy of a body, only one who holds such conviction and has been victorious, can become an elite soldier of Heaven. The standard of starting must be set up.

Unless one becomes a man or a woman who, centered upon the great ideal of goodness, can govern at will the entirety of the body's lust, appetite, and desire, Heaven cannot set him up.

What kind of phenomenon will unfold in the Last Days of which religion speaks?

Without receiving anyone's command, one will enter a place where one forgets all the things of the world. All the things up to now — son, wife, and children, this and that — will all be like a dream.

Unless such a revolution of the heart is unfolded, one cannot become a citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom. From where have such cries — “Ah, my beloved sons and daughters, ah, my beloved husband and wife, ah, my beloved mother and father” — set out? Satan binds them.

What is the great judgment?

It is the striking down of the stage of the satanic world. It is the cutting off of the bond of the heart with the satanic world.

For this reason, the currents of thought of history flow in such a way as to make parent and child betray each other.

However tightly they may sit holding each other, they will be set apart. They make brothers fight with brothers and husbands and wives fight with each other. So it must be. It does not end with this; the new must be set up. Because Heaven seeks again to graft in the heart of Heaven, He carries out such a work. Jesus, having come upon this earth, said, “Love me more than anyone.”

Truly, he is the Messiah. From such a principled view, indeed, Jesus is the Messiah.

What kind of Messiah?

The Savior of love, I say, the Savior of love. It is a grateful thing. Had there been no such cry in the course of history, today we could not have found the meaning of life. It is a grateful thing. He calls God Father and says that, if you forsake the parents of the world, He will give you the Heavenly Parent. He will give the Heavenly Parent, I say. Are the parents who bore you the true parents?

The true parents are the One who created me and even breathed life into me. He says that, in place of beloved physical parents, He will give the Heavenly Parent.

To do so, you must not engage in joint operations with the things of the world. The things of the world are the enemy. The enemy! The enemy, I say.

Therefore, when Jesus cried out the gospel and stood forth, he said, “Love me more than anyone.” He said, “Love me more than father or mother or wife and children or mother-in-law or anyone.” Truly, he is the Messiah. There is no need for all sixty-six books of the Bible. It is enough to love God more than one's own children.

How can one go to the Kingdom of Heaven?

What is the condition for going to the Kingdom of Heaven?

One must love God more than one's own sons and daughters. One must love the Lord more than one's husband or wife. One must love the Holy Spirit more than one's own body. This is the trinity.

The mind is the bridegroom of the body, and the heart is the bridegroom of the mind, and God is the master of our hearts. And Jesus is the bridegroom.

The Holy Spirit is the bride. Therefore, the elder brother in mind is Jesus, and the elder brother in body is the Holy Spirit.

Standing in place of Heaven and earth, and in place of the God of the heart, the elder brother in mind, Jesus, and the elder brother in body, the Holy Spirit, work the providence. Therefore, Jesus is the center for setting forth, seeking the world of the mind. He is the bridegroom.

What is it that we long for in our minds?

The bridegroom. The bridegroom! Jesus is the One who came to present the revolution that is at once the first and last since the universe came into being. You must come to know this.

To Avenge the Enemy

From this standpoint, when Christians, who in the Last Days must stand before God, say, “God, I have brought my son so-and-so. And so-and-so I have also brought,” it does not work. Because all of them set forth based on Satan, all the things they love cannot be received by God. Because they set forth from a stage that Satan loves, they are the enemy. The enemy! When one considers this, the teeth grind. Today, although we have come to the end of history, the revolution of the heart has not yet been proclaimed. It has been done partially.

Christianity, has done it partially. Don't those who believe in Jesus go about without even caring for their family? Mad for Jesus, I say. So it must be. So it must be.

The path of the Way is to live the single life. Women live the single life as women, and men live the single life as men.

So, having done so, what must first be filled?

The mind. Having filled the mind and bound the bond with Heavenly affection, only then must one look upon the world. Without resolving the motive of these woes, one cannot avenge God's enemy. The enemy will eternally remain. You must come to know clearly. This is not idle talk. It is a fact, fact.

So Jesus said even to his mother, Mary, “Woman, what have I to do with you?” He could not deal with her based on a worldly bond of flesh and blood. It is a fitting word. A fitting word.

The Israelite people, who ought to have loved Heaven, and the Jewish believers, who ought to have upheld Heaven's Will, must receive the recognition that they love God more than their sons and daughters.

Do you suppose that God will receive the leftovers played with in the satanic world? He will not receive them. He will not receive them.

Do you suppose that He will take what the hand of the enemy has touched?

You must come to know. Within this body, there is poison. You must come to know that the blood and flesh of Satan, who would attain the purpose of evil, has soaked in. This eye, this body, this mouth, this ear—all of these are the channels by which Satan's pleasure-seeking and Satan's ideal have been set up.

Therefore, Buddhism shuns the world and goes into the mountains. But that will not do. One must fight evil and be victorious, but they will not even fight.

Christianity says that, while belonging to the world, one should fight evil and overcome it. Therefore, a multitude must come forth that says, “I will fight and overcome the things of the world.”

Among enemies, what is the greatest enemy?

It is not an enemy in business. The greatest enemy is one who steals away one's beloved husband or wife. There is no enemy greater than this. As you all know, originally, such woes occurred.

We who have received blood and flesh from such forefathers must wholly cast away attachment to the body. We must go hungry. The path of the Way is the path of going hungry. We must also go out to the labor field and work until this body collapses with weariness. We must strike it relentlessly.

The one who has gone forth into such a place, even when his parents come and call, “Hey, so-and-so,” must be able to pass them by with dignity. Even when a beloved wife appears holding up a past bond, he must rise resolutely.

Even when any desire of the world or the bonds of one's surroundings come sweeping in, he must cut them off and stand forth.

Only then will God say, “Oh, you are my beloved son,” and send him back. He sends him back, telling him to go save his sons and daughters, save his parents, and seek his wife. So it must become.

To fulfill such a mission, Jesus came upon this earth and set up those whom he called disciples, but he did not have such disciples. Up to this day, throughout thousands of years, the number of believers in the world has been countless, but there have been no such believers.

Today, we who have set forth bearing the unification ideal, what must we do? We must restore the bond of the heart. The purpose is this. To eat well and live well is not the question.

Whether one wears the clothing of a beggar grandfather, or has a face all distorted, or whatever may have become of one, when God says, “Oh, my son, my son,” one must be able to run forth and weep aloud, “Father!” Do you have such a heart?

The Secret to Victory in the Satanic World

Today's human beings do not know whether the father is the father, or who is who. They are living in pitch darkness.

Since they have lost the Father and have not seen Him, one must come forth who can explain what that Father is. The one who comes bearing the contents to explain what the Father is and what He is—that one is the true shepherd.

We must meet a leader by whose figure, when we look upon him, we cannot help but feel a bond of bloodline drawing our minds toward him.

Beloved, although Jesus came as the True Father before the human beings of this earth, there was no one who felt such a bond.

Then what is the secret to victory in the satanic world?

It is to advance to the very place where, by explaining the fact that God is my Father, even God may shed tears. Such a one is a son or daughter of God.

One must be able to come forth before God and say, “You, while in the historical course being mocked by countless enemies and undergoing anguish, regardless of the historical course of bloody tears, to make us into Your sons and daughters, are our True Father, who has endured up to this very hour. We have come to know that Your heart is thus, that Your mind is thus, that Your body is thus.”

Then God will weep aloud. Forgetting the dignity of God, not thinking of God's throne, He will weep aloud. Even though one's figure is tattered and the wretched figure exhausted in the fallen world, only the one who can make God weep aloud, forgetting His dignity, becomes God's son or daughter. So it has been arranged.

Human beings hold many desires. What I desire is not that. I wish to set you in a position that, even though I drive you into a place of being reviled and even at the cost of killing you, makes a bond by which you can become Heaven's sons and daughters.

When you come in here and listen to the Word — that is, when you listen to the Word that explains, almost as if showing, what God is — there must well up within you a heart pierced through such that you cannot but take hold of God. If such a feeling does not arise, that movement is not a worldwide movement. It will be broken in the course.

You who believe in the Unification Church and have come forth here! I entreat that you must become such people.

Have you become such?

Such a movement must unfold centered upon my own individual self.

When God is explained to one who, centered upon a true conscience, wanders seeking the true path, that one is, without knowing it, swept up.

What can sweep him up is the Heavenly content, the strength of the original conscience. Not the conscience you now hold, but the strength of the original conscience.

Unless you find, in the course of your faith, the feeling of that original conscience and that original heart bursting forth, you cannot go to the Kingdom of Heaven. You cannot stand as a son or daughter of God.

The Method of Avenging the Enemy

Avenging God's enemy is not done by piercing with a spear. How must it be done? Before the absolute God, one must explain Satan. When one says, “God, is it not thus, and thus, and thus?” God must be able to say, “Yes, yes.” One must accuse him utterly and so strike Satan down. Satan is the thief of the heart.

Then how did Satan become the great enemy of God?

From the very day he stole humanity, he became the great enemy, and what is the content of his being the enemy? He stole away the Heavenly bond of love by which God sought to bind an eternal bond with the forefathers of humanity through the ideal of creation. Therefore, he is the great enemy. The great enemy. Now we have come to know this fact.

The work of Satan unfolds beginning from my body. Therefore, I must conquer my body. When you consider this, going hungry, being bare, being reviled, are not the question. Being shut up behind iron bars is not the question.

We must avenge the enemy before we die. Beloved, we cannot but avenge the enemy before we die. We must avenge the enemy and so die.

Since the enemy of the True Parents, the enemy of the True Bridegroom and True Bride, the enemy of the true children, remains in Heaven and on earth, the responsibility of exterminating this enemy lies upon Christianity.

To exterminate the enemy, one must arouse the heart of God. To arouse the heart of God, one must come to know God's inner circumstances. Since we have not known, we must come to know.

You must come to know that the God who so rejoiced when He created Adam and Eve so grieved when Adam and Eve fell. You must come to know that He is the God who fought centered upon Abel and Cain, the God who fought centered upon Noah, the God who has fought for thousands of years centered upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.

When you come to know that He is such a Father, your heart will burst forth. You must receive a shock. You must receive a shock deep within your mind.

You must receive an emotion that you have not received from the words of any preacher in the world, or any teacher. Only by being able to attest to the bond of heart historically, in this age, and into the future, can you live. Therefore, we must avenge the enemy. We must avenge the great enemy of God. This earth is an earth where good people have shed blood. It is an earth where blood has been shed because of the enemy.

The heart of God, who, in place of Himself, sets you forth, is desolate. Why must the human being, by passing through such a path, indemnify the requital of having betrayed Heaven? Because woes have come to be such, to resolve them, one must walk the opposite path.

Beloved, longing for the Father, how many times have you wept aloud?

To find the place where the lost Father is crying out, paying no heed even to broken legs, have you ever gasped your way through mountain or field? There must be a place where the Father is crying aloud, longing for me; what kind of place would it be? Have you ever wandered seeking that place?

Today, we have set forth before the entire world, before the entire Cosmos, asserting absolute content; what is it that we have come to know? We have come to know that God is my Father, and what the heart of the Father is.

So now we must become a multitude that weeps aloud, “Father created human beings to look upon the figure of filial sons and filial daughters and rejoice and laugh; what kind of word is sorrow?

What kind of word is lamentation?

What kind of word is woe? All this is the sin of us, who have not become sons and daughters.” Only thus shall it return. Only thus shall it return. Only thus shall the new come.

We have lost everything. We have nothing. I have nothing. I do not desire honor. I do not desire to become your teacher. Only at the moment of falling, I pray, “Allow me to die in such a place that I leave behind no regret of, 'While I was alive, I should have done a little more in place of the Father….'”

When the lonely multitudes are set forth, Heaven suffers, I say. From the mind, from the heart, something irrepressible is bursting forth. We have kicked off the bonds of the world and turned toward Heavenly affection. Since we have turned and set out, we must not go in a figure of despair, but must go forth with vigor.

Heaven has waited for thousands of years. Even now, He waits. Even though we pass through the valley of death, He waits. Whenever you go out and gasp for breath, Heaven waits. The one crying out here in this place knows it well. I thought it was the end and the last, but I have come to know that it is not the end. I thought I would fall into despair, but I have come to know that Heaven is.

Now you must become a multitude that, taking hold of the True Parents, weeps aloud — a multitude that, taking hold of the arm of the Father, who has gasped to find the True Parents, weeps aloud.

So that you may become true children set up before the True Parents and, at the same time, may become those who long for true brothers. This is the content with which you must equip yourselves.

Vertically, the human being must long for God, the Parent, and must without fail set up before that God the way of filial piety. Yet we are those who have not resolved the han of the Fall.

What is the filial son?

You know the parable of the prodigal son, do you not?

If there be a brother who, holding the same heart as the father who, holding tears, awaits the prodigal son, can run forth before the returning prodigal son, the father will hand over the entire inheritance to him.

The One Path to Exterminate God's Great Enemy

Today we have come to know. We have come to know that even the prodigal sons of the world are kin of one flesh and blood.

Although history has flowed on, in his heart God has not been able to forget the sons and daughters of death and, even after passing through six thousand years of woes, has not been able to release them. He is the Father whose heart and bitter resentment remain bound up with them.

When you deal with Heaven, you must hold the heart of a parent in whose overflowing heart the tears come first. Burn with such a heart. If there be one carrying a load in the heat of midsummer, take hold of him and weep aloud, and feel the heart of the Father, the heart of the Mother.

Since it is for my sake that he is laboring, say, “I shall carry the load.” Block his way and say, “Brother! There is yet a path you must walk; where are you going?” — and weep aloud with a sorrowful heart. If you become such a one, Heaven shall be with you upon the path you walk.

Even the one speaking here had no companion. He has walked a lonely path. Filled with han, indignation, and bitter sorrow, his bosom is full.

Yet I feel that this cannot compare with the labors of Heaven, and that I cannot stand before God, who has come forth bearing han for six thousand years. But every time I feel that I am insufficient to bear the responsibility laid upon me and grieve, I also know that Heaven takes hold of me and exhorts me.

Even in places from which others flee, become sons and daughters of whom God, having come seeking you out, can boast as His own sons and daughters. Beloved, you must come to know that God awaits you in such a place.

When Jesus was about to die on the cross, the disciples fled, fearing the cross. But although he was a robber, when, regarding with sorrow the position of the dying Jesus, his heart was filled with the wish to touch and to feel Jesus' body with his hands, that robber received salvation.

The kingdom of Heaven begins from here. Words alone will not do. There are many people with many words. There are thousands and tens of thousands of methods and means. But the highest of all truths is the heart of love. There can be no method or means in the heart of love. We must come to know that this alone is the one path to exterminate the great enemy of God.

If there be one who, taking hold of God and receiving God's mind and heart, comes forth confronting Satan, before him even those who are better than he cannot open the mouth.

When the human being does not know God, Satan can mock the human being at will and govern him at will, but when one appears bearing the content welling up through the heart of Heaven, the millions of Satanic forces surrender.

Therefore, whether dying or living, it is Father; whether dying or living, it is Father. Although this blood is blood received from Satan, we must run yearning toward the place where this blood is changed and harvested as the blood of the Father. Only then will Satan fall away.

Our Responsibility

Now we must pray.

Does your blood and flesh now belong to Satan?

When your blood is scattered and your flesh falls away, you must pray that you not become one whom Satan can come to and take away, crying, “Ah, my blood! Ah, my flesh!” When you collapse, coughing up blood, you must become one whom the Father can take hold of and weep over.

Up to now, countless people have come and gone upon this earth. And countless people are living on this earth today.

Countless people are setting forth seeking the path of the Way, but up to this day, no such sons and daughters have been received.

Although Peter was hung upside down upon the cross because of the sin of betrayal of having betrayed Jesus hung upon him, even God could not take hold of him.

Although countless people vanished as the dew of the execution ground, because they had the sin of having betrayed the only-begotten Son sent by God, their deaths could be acknowledged as conditions of indemnity, but it could not be acknowledged that they shed their good blood and flesh and died for God's sake.

Beloved, the thirty million people are gasping for breath, not knowing the way to walk. Therefore, we must become leaders before these hungry people. With the iron staff of life, we must cut through the iron net of death and go forward, before this people that, in the world of death, sheds blood and sweat and pleads, and cries out, “Comrade, brother, here am I!”

In doing so, on the day when the bond of father and son is set high and the bond of brothers is set up, when a tribe and a people are formed and we appear as the people of Heaven, the sovereignty of Heaven shall be restored, and the bitter resentment of heart pierced through Heaven shall be resolved. You must come to know this clearly.

Beloved, are the clothes you are wearing precious to you? Let us strip them off and cast them aside. Do you have treasure? Let us throw it into the empty air.

You must come to know that, in advancing before Heaven, these become the bait of Satan.

If only these people become those who, before those who set forth without any concern over bloody tears for the sake of goodness, cannot sleep for wishing to provide even an inch of ground or a single garment, then people shall rule the world.

Heaven is seeking such a one. Even though one weeps until one's eyes go blind, longing for the Father, even if one goes mad, that one does not go to hell.

Even if one collapses from hunger, having received the pointing fingers and mockery of the multitudes, if one collapses longing for the Father, that place will not become an empty plot.

Today, we have outlined how to create the age. We have set forth as new pioneers upon the course of revolution of the heavenly principle of relationship.

Therefore, the blood of the pioneer must throb in our bodies, and the flesh of the pioneer must throb.

We must take hold of these sleeping people and pray toward Heaven, and we must strive to become the consolers of these hungry people.

If we become such, even though we are trampled and driven in this present age, the day shall without fail come when we shall be needed before this people, before this humanity.

We long for such a multitude. We long for such family members. We must sacrifice all things to gather such people. Thus, we must explain the parent to those who do not know the parent, and to those who do not know the bond of brothers, we must shatter the common notion up to now, and, transcending the boundary of the spirit world and the bodily world, make known the true bond of brothers.

You must come to know clearly that when, by the heart, “If you go hungry, I cannot eat, and when I eat, you also must eat” becomes stronger than the feelings of a people, stronger than the feelings of any thought or doctrine of the world, the providential history of God's resolution of han shall automatically unfold.

When you come back from going out to evangelize and tell me you have been reviled, on the one hand, I feel indignation, but in my mind, I rejoice and pray.

Why? Because that person has come back having bound, in his mind, not the heart of the human being, but a thick bond with the sorrowful heart of Heaven. There shall be a day to boast of this before Heaven.

I believe that, when today we, with new resolve, pour out all the passion within us and, in place of the humanity of the world, bear the Heavenly han within our person, and become a single bomb that goes to hell and explodes and sheds blood, there a tower of victory shall be raised.

Only when such a multitude comes forth shall the resolution of han for this people unfold; only thus can this people advance toward the new ideal, and only thus can they lay the foundation for a new people centered upon a worldwide spirit. You must feel this thoroughly.

Please keep in mind that, when this standard is set up, it becomes the shield of victory by which the bitter resentment of God can be eternally resolved.

Father, when we look back upon the forty hills we have come over, from a human standpoint, it has been most loathsome.

We have come to know that the passing of the days of han is a historical inevitability, and that today our striking the reefs of misfortune as we act upon the earth is the Heavenly course of resolving the woes of this fallen world.

We have also come to know that the path of avenging the great enemy of God is, with heart as the foundation, to become parents upon this earth where there are no parents, to become brothers upon this earth where there are no brothers, to become the people of Heaven within this Heaven and earth where there is no people of Heaven. So we have severed every bond of worldly parents, and severed every bond of worldly husband and wife.

Because the time has come when a new Heavenly bond of affection must take root upon this earth, we are watching before our very eyes how today's currents of thought are sweeping vigorously in such a direction.

In this day, when left and right contend, Heaven is seeking one region in which the center of the heart can be rooted from Heaven into the earth; that one place must without fail exist for the Heavenly Will to be brought about, and we know that there shall without fail come a day when, having resolved the bitter resentment of Heaven, we shall raise high the banner of victory before all peoples.

For this reason, when we consider that today this movement, which gasps to find the foundation of such a heart, has unfolded upon the lonely three-thousand-li peninsula, among the people who remain after shedding blood and falling, Father, we are awe-struck and overwhelmed.

Now, before these perishing people, we must convey the new Word of life, and we must convey the woes tangled in bloody tears. Thereby, may countless lives receive a new revival; and although this people, this world, are in autumn, allow them, centered upon the new Word, to be equipped with the spirit of spring.

Thus, Father, we earnestly entreat and desire that You be present yourself with the footsteps of those who go forth holding hearts soaked in bloody tears, so that they may bring about a providence by which they may turn this world toward a new direction in which it may face the season of summer and look toward a new season of autumn.

We appeal in this place before the Father that, having completed the entrusted forty-day course, when we meet again and join hand in hand and open our hearts and exchange stories of how I shed tears for the people and how I was rejected by this people, even should there be sorrowful and vexing facts, allow us to say, “Father!” and rather to invoke blessing upon the people, and to come back with the living evidential condition that we loved this people held within each one's bosom.

It is the heart of the one who bears responsibility here that he does not wish to send them upon a difficult path; but because the woes of Heaven remain, we cannot but send them upon that path, and we also know that that path is the inevitable course we ourselves must walk.

Therefore, since they wish, with all the sincerity within them, to offer up before the Father even a single drop of blood, and to offer up before the Father even a single particle of flesh, and to perform every action for the Father's sake, please forgive even any wrong they may do.

Please, please embrace them, protect them, and keep them. We earnestly entreat this.

Knowing that the path of tracing the heart is lonely, a sorrowful path, a path of tears, Father, we earnestly entreat that You yourself console them and bless them.

Whether dying or living, taking hold only of Heaven, allow them to become sons and daughters who, until the day they fall, can return the glory of final victory to the Father. We earnestly entreat and desire this.

Thus, allow us to continue the march until the day when we lay Heaven and earth into the bosom of the Father and make the enemy surrender.

We earnestly entreat that You, until the day when the Father, mobilizing Heaven and the conscientious upon the earth into this column of march, sing the glory of an epoch-making victory, be together with us.

When we earnestly entreat thus, we have spoken in the name of the Lord. Amen.
