1. Mission and Scope
True Parents Legacy (TPLegacy) is a non-commercial digital archive and research platform dedicated to the preservation, translation, and systematic analysis of the primary sources of Unification Theology.
Our mission is to provide scholars, theologians, and the public with high-integrity digital access to the lifework of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, ensuring that these records are preserved with academic rigor and linguistic precision.
2. Open Access Statement
This is an open-access repository. TPLegacy adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access. All content is available immediately upon publication without charge to the user or their institution.
Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles and documents in this archive for non-commercial research and educational purposes without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
3. Licensing and Copyright
To facilitate the widest possible dissemination of knowledge while protecting the integrity of the research:
- Original Research & Metadata: All original analytical articles, etymological studies, and metadata curated by TPLegacy are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
- Attribution: Any use of the material must provide appropriate credit to True Parents Legacy Archive and include a link to the original source.
4. Editorial Integrity and Methodology
As an independent research project, TPLegacy maintains strict standards of textual integrity:
- Source Verification: All translations and analyses are cross-referenced with original Korean (Hanja/Hangul) source texts.
- Transparency: We provide etymological breakdowns (e.g., the Gwon ζ¬ vs ε distinction) to ensure the theological nuances are preserved.
- Correction Policy: TPLegacy is a living archive; we actively update records as new historical or linguistic data becomes available to ensure maximum accuracy.
5. Digital Preservation and Archiving Strategy
To ensure long-term availability and prevent data loss, TPLegacy employs a multi-tier preservation strategy:
- Primary Repository: Hosted on (tplegacy.net).
- External Deposits: Key research papers and datasets are systematically deposited in Zenodo (CERN) and Humanities Commons CORE, where they receive permanent Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).
- Metadata Standards: We utilize Schema.org and Dublin Core metadata standards to ensure interoperability with global library systems.
6. Research Ethics
TPLegacy is committed to ethical research practices. We respect intellectual property rights and provide clear citations for all secondary sources utilized in our studies. We invite scholarly dialogue and are open to collaborative efforts that advance the understanding of Unification thought.
