The Owner of Night and Day
The people who rode the airplane know better than anyone all the circumstances that came and went.
So, because the people who are the leading heads of the Unification Church have gathered, recognizing the representative position in which they took part, you too should think that you participated together, and let us, in this place, attend God and hold a Hoon Dok Hae. From now on, the Hoon Dok Hae is important.
Until now, the Hoon Dok Hae could be done as one pleased, as if going to a neighbor's house, but from now on, it is done by causing the ancestors who went to the spirit world to return and centering on the clansmen.
Centering on the living people of the Unification Church who represent the clansmen, and including even the descendants, all three eras are encompassed together, and the Hoon Dok is done. To that degree, it is not a passing Hoon Dok Hae. Because, together with your life forever, the spirit world and the physical world become one body and one mind and do the Hoon Dok, that spirit is woven from the earth to the spirit world and from the spirit world to descendants for ten thousand generations. Only when that is woven can God be liberated.
The liberation of the True Parents is not the issue. God must be liberated. Until now, the God who was in the midst of the night was not known. You must know that God existed even before the creation. The Korean people have attended to one God. That is what differs from the other peoples of the world.
Not knowing that He is the Owner of night and day, one came forth, making important the affairs of this world that fell after creation, but there is something more important than that. It is that in the world of night, there were all the causes and motives by which this substantial world could be governed.
People do not know that, centering on the spirit world, from a position of not having appeared, God set up the representatives of the Providence as His proxies and carried out the historical work.
God is called the absolute God, but He was known as the God for restoring the ideal world that failed after creation; the God beyond that is not known. From the root, the world of night, centering on the ideal of creation, He prepared through tens of thousands of years in the midst of being unknown, and then created the substantial things of creation.
The spirit world and the physical world, the formless substantial world and the formed substantial world, must become one. That is impossible for the God who worked after Adam and Eve fell. You must know the former God, the God who was unseen.
These textbooks and teaching materials are not the talk spoken by the people who appeared as God's proxies after the creation of the world. It is the talk of before.
We say “night and day,” but the night has been forgotten. Say “Night and day!” Night and day! Do you say “day and night”? And do you say “man and woman” or “woman and man”? We say “man” and “woman.” It is a man and a woman, and if they are parents, it is a father and a mother.
The complete father and mother, the complete man and woman, the complete God, and what?
The God who could become the complete body was not known. We came forth treating that as a separate matter. We made the textbooks that only the Unification Church can make.
The Personage Who Can Become the Owner Linking Formation, Growth, and Completion
In the midst of the night, He went about building, centering on the substantial world, and God, without resting, crossed beyond the world of night and linked day and night.
In the Bible, it is called, “There was evening, and there was morning, the first day.”
The evening stage, the night stage, and the morning stage differ. The Bible spoke such words, yet the scholars do not know any of them. To link that, it said, “There was evening and there was morning, the first day.”
That it was thus said, “There was evening and there was morning, the first day,” is a word spoken centering on the ending of the world of darkness and the new world of creation, the completion of Adam and Eve. He went about building, looking toward the rise where He could have them marry.
Centering on that time when He could have them marry, it said that there was evening, and passing through the night, there was morning — the first day.
Because that first day was lost, in today's era of restoration, the solar and lunar calendars are made one. Centering on the first year of Cheon Gi, you must know that the world of darkness appeared, and the world of night has become the center of the world of day. Is night first, or is day first? Night is first.
Did you not fail to know that? Having woven night and day together, what must God do?
It is the substantial world and the formless world, and the formless world is the subject partner of the substantial world.
Which is first?
Not day first, but night first. We say “night and day.” The personage who, from the era of night, plays the role of God and runs all the way through to the era of day, linking the three eras of evening, night, and morning, linking formation, growth, and completion, and who can become the Owner, becomes the king of human history. I spoke that Message for the first time at the New York rally.
What kind of God is God?
Where is the place where the character “level (平),” meaning horizontal, can be used? Is it the land or the sea? I ask because I do not know. On the earth, is the place that spreads out flat, the land or the water? 「It is the water.」 But is the mountain first, or the sea first? 「The sea is first.」 The land is first. The water came into being afterward.
Then, was that which was at the very bottom something that burst forth through an earthquake? No. It existed before earthquakes arose.
The land of Korea is, in the world, a beautiful garden, the stage where God can live henceforth. That is why, a thousand to ten thousand years before, He began to lay out the royal site. It is for the personage who was the king of night to become even the king of day.
So He made heaven and earth, and that becomes the character “ten (十).” The frame of the character “Ten” cannot be altered. Did you learn that? Before Jesus was hung on the cross and died, did he carry that cross or not?
Did the cross exist first, or did Jesus make the cross and bear it?
Such words are not even in the Principle. So one might say, “How does Father make up such words?” — but I did not make them up; I knew them.
Chairman Moon's ancestor founded Osan High School. Among the patriots of Korea, is there one who is not an alumnus of Osan High School?
Yi Gwang-su, too, was an alumnus of Osan High School. Do you know that at that time figures such as Seo Chun (one of the eleven representatives of the Korean students who studied abroad and made the February 8 Declaration of Independence) and people who were renowned in the free world and the Communist world were alumni of Osan High School?
Three hundred alumni of Osan High School split into a Russian side and a Chinese side in a reed field and fought. Three hundred fought in the reed field, and a fire broke out, and they all died.
Our granduncle told that story with tears streaming down. Why did Grandfather do so? He said, “My beloved disciples, the people who could have done whatever I commanded them to do, all died then.”
The independence army soldiers came to our house, which was in Deogeon-myeon. In the midst of our house, there was a great chestnut tree, which had passed through more than five generations, more than seven generations. That was an auspicious sight.
In Deokseong-dong, Deokdal-myeon, Jeongju County, there was Myodu Mountain and there was Obong Mountain, and there was a saying there that, centering on a stream, a dragon would rise.
The inner village beyond Jaepi Bridge was Mun Village, the village of the Mun clan.
If I tell such stories in detail, it ends in the conclusion that Chairman Moon is boasting of the Mun clan's lineage, so I do not like it.
A Mysterious Experience
I made Happy Health, centering on electrical science. I studied it at Waseda. In Seoul, what school was it? It was the Gyeongseong Commercial and Industrial Practical School.
The principal of that school was Doi Sanyo. It was the character “earth (土)” with the character “dwell (居).” It was the “yang” of the mountain. He was outstanding. He established the school in 1934.
Having graduated from the electrical engineering department of Seoul University, he laid his foundation and founded the school. Because he became renowned while lecturing after graduating from Seoul University, he established the school.
That is why he was not ignorant of the affairs of how people like Ito Hirobumi came and went during the Japanese occupation, or of all such things. He knew it all. He also knew about the history of Korea.
Furthermore, he thought that the Japanese were utterly ruining Korea. He himself opposed Japan's rule. He held that if they had occupied Korea and made it a colony, and if they meant to raise the people of the colony and make them into royal descendants henceforth, that would be one thing — but to seize it by force and make them servants was wrong.
I was the same. I gave a speech when I graduated from Jeongju Common School. It was when I was nineteen years old. I came to Seoul when I was nineteen, and I climbed to a high area, rented a snug house with a dug well, and lived on my own. Why? Because I disliked people coming to find me.
The well went down seventeen fathoms, centering on the well bucket. I drew water from there, and that water was warm. It froze at once. I lived on my own in such a house.
For others, it took more than three minutes each time to draw the water up, but I drew it up within one minute. Only then was it warm. Because I did so every time, the landlord said the well bucket would not last even three days and told me to move out. He said to do it slowly — why was I doing so?
I slept in the cold room without lighting a fire. To warm my hands, I sometimes slept embracing a lightbulb. The scar made by the burn from then remains.
To warm my body, getting into the bedding wrapper, I had to lie face down for more than ten minutes. Only then did it warm; before ten minutes, it would not warm. I have such a history.
When a cold day became a warm day, because the quilt was heavy, I covered myself with two blankets and slept while basking in the sunlight. Because at night it was too cold to sleep, you see.
At night, it was so cold that I shivered and shivered. Had Mother and Father known that, they would have taken me away regardless of school or anything. So I lived that way without anyone knowing. I cannot forget Heukseok-dong, where I studied while doing such antics.
Because we farmed, we sold white rice; Mother carried two mal on her head, Elder Brother carried one mal on his back, and I carried seven doe. Mother put a pad on her head and carried it, Elder Brother made a shoulder strap of arrowroot vine and carried it, and I carried it with a straw rope.
So, when we had to go on a road of twenty li, I went because I could not die. When carrying seven doe, even before going ten minutes, I wanted to sit, but Mother went on and Elder Brother went on — how could I? Still, I had to follow.
At such times, I recited the Thousand Character Classic. I recited the Thousand Character Classic, I recited the “Untitled Poems,” and I recited the Myeongsim Bogam. I walked along thinking of them as if mad, and that road was impressive to me. Likewise, I had a mysterious experience. The satanic forces that went back and forth before my eyes were visible to me. I lived that way.
When I went and came back with such hardship, at night those things would appear and tease, saying, “A little fellow is strong, isn't he? How did you hold out and go all that way, meaning to beat your mother and elder brother? I meant to carry you on my back, but I did not carry you because I wanted to see your sorry state.” I grew up in such an environment. There is no need even to tell such stories.
Won-pil went this time, did he not?
In his going, I wrote something to be able to advise him. I wrote him a letter of introduction for going to heaven. I know better than anyone. Once you enter, you cannot go about as you please at once. They hang complicated things on you, and at the last — what was it? — I wrote, “Become one who serves Heavenly Heart with your body (Cheon Jeong Bong Shin Ja)!” That is the conclusion.
What he said he would do, he could not do. So the point is, do not throw your weight around once you go to the spirit world. If you throw your weight around, the path you go is blocked. Because I raised him as a younger brother and sent him on more errands than anyone, to protect him, I wrote, “Become one who serves Heavenly Heart with your body!” and sent him off with a praying heart. The general listener does not know what this talk means.
What did I call Kim In-ju, the “one who illumines oneness (Myeong Il Ja)”?
You said, 'Congratulations on entering the Cheon Seong, the one who illumines oneness, itinerary worker Madam Kim In-ju.'
The Eternal-Life Ceremony Is the Seonghwa Ceremony
God had prepared everything by which the will of Providence could be fulfilled externally, but this inner nation upon the earth did not know its responsibility and ruined it all.
Only I, who remained at the last, sorted out this work and crossed over. Having crossed over, one must come back again and do the first, second, third, and fourth settling and then go. That is why I went to America this time and held the UN rally. Now is the time of great repair. As for a room, there is not even one inn room.
This time, because of the earthquake remaining, the UN Secretariat took responsibility, and more than a hundred people, beginning with the UN's chief representative and deputy representative, went; and what happened because the headquarters of that nation collapsed? They entered there and all died. We held a Seonghwa ceremony for them. The UN has no way to console them.
The world is in turmoil as it is, and there, even the people of the UN Secretariat died, so what memorial rite is to be held — this is the point. It is not consoled by the president or the ministers doing something.
The Blessing is the blessing for conception, the blessing of rebirth, and then the blessing of resurrection. The blessing for the family, the blessing for the nation, and even the unifying blessing of the spirit world and the physical world — the three stages of blessing must be done to console them, but by what cause would the UN Secretariat do it?
America and the UN sat looking on, stripped bare, and weeping. Was it not so? It was done by going into such a valley. General Haig was a person who had a bond with me.
Centering on the Korean War, beginning with General MacArthur, all the generals who died at that time came to me and reported spiritually.
So I took responsibility for the whole. In the presence of the president and eminent figures, the memorial rite that could be publicly recognized in heaven and on earth was held.
The 6.5 billion people of the world must hold a rebirth ceremony, must hold a resurrection ceremony, and must hold an eternal-life ceremony. The eternal-life ceremony is the Seonghwa ceremony.
What is the character “seung” of Seonghwa?
It is the character 'rise (昇).' What is the character “hwa”? It is 'shine (華).' It is not the character “harmonize (和)” but the character “shine (華).” It is complicated, centering on the “grass radical (艹),” and the inside and outside are set as a pair. The point is that the pillars of Cain and Abel can be set in.
After this Seonghwa ceremony (the Unification Seonghwa Memorial Festival), we are having this kind of time; you may consider it to be time outside of time, but this is absolutely necessary.
Because I move the rally, and knowing how the overseas progress will turn out, I am anxious about the whole course. I had songs sung, had various testimonies given, and had even the content of the meeting reported — and those things too are all necessary. Beginners do not know that. They know nothing.
Who educates them?
Because I split it up and have such work done, by attending and hearing the words, you come to know how important this rally was, more effectively than any other rally.
Listening to the words reported by pointing things out, I realized that content is better than attending the Seonghwa ceremony.
Furthermore, departing from Las Vegas, I asked them, and I thought it would be good to make a program for visiting Korea henceforth — and what happened?
Here they made a Las Vegas visit program and, without my being involved, announced that they would start it. Seeing that, I came to think, “If I go to the spirit world and live on, mumbling and dawdling without dying, I would do everything I could do!”
The rebirth ceremony, the resurrection ceremony, and the Seonghwa ceremony! It is a lifetime of three stages, and within the history of the Providence, totaling the whole, the Seonghwa ceremony is done in a place like a flower.
The word Seonghwa is a holy thing. What does Seonghwa mean?
Because it is the character 'rise (昇)' and the character 'shine (華),' it means that life is holily sublimated. It has the meaning that heaven and earth became one and did the work together.
The character “shine (華),” if halved, is Cain and Abel. Is that the character “shine (華),” or what character “hwa”? It is the character 'shine (華).' What is it that shines? It speaks of that which shines like the sun in the heavens.
