There Must Be a Traditional Law That Can Become the Foundation for the Harmony of Heaven and Earth
Applause does not mean that everything is finished. The question is whether one is qualified to applaud. The question is the standard that Heaven acknowledges. In a school, you must keep all the regulations the school has set, and in a kindergarten, all those the kindergarten has set; only then, over the course of a year, can the children be given the approval that they have completed every subject they study.
The opinion of the kindergarten teacher—and when I say teacher, it is not just one person. The teachers guide all the subjects learned in the kindergarten, so it is the opinions of those instructors—and then the common opinion of the students, combined together—that must grant the diploma certifying graduation from our kindergarten. Only then does one truly graduate from kindergarten.
If a nation, a social organization, or a country's patriotic organizations issue it, you must have a graduation certificate bearing that name to enter the next stage of school. In this way, you must pass through the inside and outside of all the regulations across the six years of elementary school and the six years of middle and high school—twelve years.
How many teachers are there in an elementary school?
And in middle and high school, how many teachers are there? Six years of elementary school and six years of middle and high school make twelve years, and then four years centered on university.
So that makes sixteen years, and thereafter, you must complete the doctoral course within three or four years.
If you add six years to age twenty-four, when the family environment is formed, you reach thirty; add eight years, and you reach thirty-two—and until then, while employed and attending a company, you must keep studying and graduate from graduate school.
Only by graduating from graduate school can you become a pillar of the nation (동량지재). It means you rise to a position where you can inherit the tradition of the patriots who can uphold the way of loyalty and filial piety to the nation.
Once you are called a Ph.D., you can lead from the very top of that nation, and in such an official process, the lineage that can be recognized runs from the king or the sovereign down to the national assembly. Our Unification Church, too, must pass through all those organizational processes.
What about me?
Standing before the One who is the perfected Parent from before the fall of the first human ancestors, no elementary-school diploma or kindergarten diploma is needed. No elementary-school diploma is needed, no middle- or high-school diploma is needed, no graduate-school diploma is needed.
As Adam grows up, the course of passing from kindergarten through elementary and middle and high school is official, but he must pass through the course set according to Heaven's program.
Then the course True Parents must walk and the course of restoration through indemnity (탕감복귀) by which you are being restored are the same. And in the end, you must receive the publicly recognized authentication of the Cosmos at the standard of True Parents' perfection.
What is needed for that?
The Coronation, the Golden Wedding Anniversary, and then what? “The Seonghwa Festival.” An autobiography is needed. Each of you has your autobiography that can be recorded until you become a pillar of the nation.
The Communist Party has nothing, so it merely swings its fists or runs cons with sheer nerve, but this is not such a nation. There must be a traditional law that can become the foundation for the harmony of heaven and earth.
The natural world has the law of the natural world. Society has the law of the social environment, a nation has the law of the nation, and the Cosmos has the law of the Cosmos. Not just anyone is allowed to enter there.
Speaking in official terms, I built the schools. I built the kindergarten, the middle and high school, the university, and the graduate school. I conferred honorary doctorates on more than 170 people. The Ministry of Education manages all the universities, and a single school cannot confer honorary doctorates on more than two people in a year, yet I did it all within a little more than a year.
I am not a person governed by the law of the Ministry of Education. I passed through all the processes of the historical ages that they could pass through, and from the standard of that relative relationship, I passed through even the processes they do not know. Let the Ministry of Education just try to deny the Unification Church. I would shove it aside.
Have You Fulfilled the Family Pledge?
It may seem that until now I have done nothing, but this is what I have come through.
There is the Family Pledge—have you fulfilled the Family Pledge completely?
Is the Family Pledge needed?
Is the family needed, is the nation needed, is the individual needed? What is needed? After passing through the Family Pledge, at the standard of the nation, there is the system of the kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school that the nation officially recognizes.
Centered on that school system of the Republic of Korea, there is kindergarten, elementary school, middle and high school, university, and graduate school; and if, having passed through that system, one renders a certain measure of merit to society, the whole nation cannot but take that kind of leader as its model. Centered on such a standard, there are honorary doctors and doctors established by the nation, and then there are the senators and the representatives.
The Family Pledge consists of eight articles—why eight?
You do not know, do you? Can someone who does not even know that be said to stand on the standard of having practiced the Family Pledge? No. What is the standard of the Family Pledge that Heaven established? Tell me why it is in eight stages. Why eight stages? “Because Father set it that way.”
Why did Father set it?
If I set it, I would have taught it; but no matter how many hundreds of times I teach it, you forget and say, “I don't need the Family Pledge!” By speaking it once, you ought to practice it, yet no matter how many hundreds of times I speak, what happens? How many thousands of times have you recited the Family Pledge? Who is it that knows its content? Raise your hand.
Even men who became presidents of the various nations of the world waited eighteen years to meet me, and I would not meet them. Even when they came every day and waited at my gate, it was so. People with historic names are lined up in rows, to say nothing of mere cabinet ministers and petty assemblymen.
Yet when assemblymen come here, they say, “I can have a private audience with President Moon, so why won't he meet me?” Even after ten years, you have not seen me call in an individual to meet privately. Do you have the qualifications to meet me?
What qualifications do you have?
Can you cross over simply because you became a Unification Church member and received the Blessing? Stop the nonsense. My giving you the Blessing is a contract of promise that it can simply take the place of all that I have done. But what have you done?
There Is No Bridge Between East and West, Heaven and Earth
You must forget everything about the past. Even the restoration through indemnity of Adam and Eve in Eden, and the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Completed Testament, and all the rest.
In the era of the realm of heart (심정) of the Fourth Adam, can anyone say that perfection comes only when restoration through indemnity is achieved?
After coming out of the mother's womb, one drinks the mother's milk, and when grown, speaks centering on what mother and father say, eats together with them, and then can pass through the whole course of kindergarten, elementary, and middle and high school within the family—but there is no such system.
Have you graduated from the kindergarten of the Kingdom of Heaven? You have not graduated from elementary school, nor from middle and high school, nor from university. Such people come to the Unification Church and say, “President Moon, meet with me! You and I have the same qualifications—is there anything so special about you?” Looking at the face, there are only eyes, a nose, a mouth, and this. Does having the same make us the same?
Do you know how many flights of stairs there are?
Do you know how many dimensions of stages there are from this earth to the infinite world of Heaven? You do not know a single one. Rolling their eyes, putting strength into their shoulders and their backsides, telling me to listen to them, they seized President Moon and did all manner of things.
If I were to become a kindergarten student, then an elementary student, a middle- and high-school student, and a university student—they may say they have graduated and are out in society, but they are no comparison to me.
When the man who claimed to have finished university investigated President Moon, he could not even write elegantly. When I taught him, at first he spoke loudly: “Hey, everything you say is wrong. All such talk is wrong.” But when I taught him a thing or two, he said, “Who do you think you are, acting like this?
You have come to prison, and in prison, you must absolutely obey the orders of the prison. Under such law, we draw up the record—what is there for you to resist?” When he said, “Are you not guilty?” I said, “I have no sin.” What was my sin?
In one lifetime, I earned money amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars, and I kept not a penny of it. There is no owner. Did you build this? There is no kindergarten of the Kingdom of Heaven that I speak of, no elementary school, and no middle and high school. There is no president, no assemblyman—none of it.
Are there senators in the Kingdom of Heaven?
Who made that? I did not make it either. Since I did not make it, I am not governed by that law and have nothing to do with it, yet because of you, I have been dragged around.
Those who, if President Moon has hair, would pluck and eat the hair, strip and eat the hide, strip and eat the flesh, and if there are bones, would sell even the bones and the marrow, going about looking only to their gain—they are swindlers. They mean to use Father up. Is that a human being? Among the people of the Kingdom of Heaven, there is no such person. At present, there are no citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.
So all the people who have gone to the spirit world throw open the gates of hell and throw open the gates of heaven and come out together. I call them and have them descend again to the earth, and on the sole condition that they pledge to believe one hundred percent according to my word and as I do, I intend to give a diploma when four years and three months have passed.
Otherwise, one must spend more than twelve years to be given the certificate of having graduated from university. Father holds such authority.
Because I hold such authority, what then?
Am I the King of Kings?
I did not know the King of Kings. Among parents, am I the True Parent? The King of Kings and the True Parent must become one. How does that become one? You have heard it said that they become one, but have you become the kind of crowd that works to make it so? I am telling you not to shake your heads.
Now the time has come when I will not leave things alone. Let us compare you and me. I have toured the world, and there is no place among hundreds of nations I have not passed through. Yet it is the members of the Unification Church who go in my place and shed blood, take beatings, and live the prison life.
Have you ever become their brother, their comrade, or their friend?
Have you ever even once sent in private meals when they could not eat? Let us speak of it.
Living Without Knowing the Foundation Has Gone Wrong
Even after coming here, how much have you criticized?
What do you go to Las Vegas to do? In one year, I went to Las Vegas as many as twenty-seven times. What did I go to do? Did I go to gamble, to play cards? I took a great deal of money there and scattered it. There, I made a new law and standard, saying, Let us compare my strength and your strength.
If the World Bank trusts me and merely supplies the money, I will recover it within a week. Let us compare my skill and your skill to see who wins. Whether arm-wrestling, ssireum, judo, or boxing, you cannot beat Teacher Moon. As they set their hands to the work, in the end, the name Reverend Moon comes out.
Because President Moon first said in 1984 that the red-crowned crane crosses the Himalayan range, it is recorded even in the British encyclopedia—do you think President Moon said it crosses without knowing?
I have made the entire original text of the encyclopedia. I have also made Cheon Seong Gyeong, the scripture of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Do you know that this is a book that even the God of the Kingdom of Heaven consults to conduct Hoon Dok Hae?
Have you read this autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen? Was there an autobiography in the spirit world, or not? In the Kingdom of Heaven, was there an autobiography or not?
Was there a Cheon Seong Gyeong, or not?
Was there a Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong, or not? Answer me. “There was not.” There was none—so what is this? Who fabricated it?
I did not fabricate a single word. Even the words were not mine. Wherever I step forward, my mouth blows like a trumpet. Hearing those words, I come to know. It is the same with matters of timing.
How has Reverend Moon crossed over the ridges until now, matching the timing so extraordinarily?
When that time comes, my mouth speaks. It says, “I do not know who, but someone must cross that mountain—whether a bird does it or a beast, or a dragon in the sea crosses it, it must be crossed….”
Well, my old name was Moon Yong Myung. Since it was Yong Myung (龍明), I can explain everything about the dragon. Just like the sun and the moon. That is the problem of Cain and Abel.
Do you know about Cain and Abel?
The eyes, too, resemble Cain and Abel; the nose and the mouth, too, resemble Cain and Abel—have they become one? Is the vision of the two eyes the same, 1.2 and 1.2? Is the nose free of nasal disease, the mouth free of disease, the ears free of disease? Are you not all sickly?
Whatever it may be, before the standard of peace in a relative relationship, harmony, and unity come about centering on a center—but without a center, how can there be unity? Which comes first, harmony or unity? “Harmony comes first.” What is harmony? It is peace. Through harmony (和), the level (平) is achieved. Unity must come upon peace—does the horizontal level of harmony come out upon unity?
I have seen many people in this world who, living without knowing that the foundation has all gone wrong, go about with their heads held high, thinking themselves great. In the days of Japanese rule, I saw the gisaeng riding about in rickshaws, and those gisaeng wore flowered hats and flowered skirt-and-jacket.
When there was a rickshaw in the street, they would ride it, not even knowing whether the puller was a lowborn man or a thief, and would go seeking only the good things.
Though he wore a bundle of rags, he was the most conscientious rickshaw puller, and yet, defrauding him, with their plentiful money, they would go off to the places of flower revelry—and what would they do there?
How many hussies were there who meant to live like queens in such places?
Ganna (간나) means: has she gone off to marry, has she abandoned her husband and run away? Did she cross the river? Did she cross the courtyard? Did she cross the mountain? Is she not a ganna?
Lowborn fellow, thief! Among the words of Pyongan Province, there is the saying, “You lowborn butcher's wench-spawn, I'll kill you with my hands.” That is how the curse goes. Ah, there is such a fearsome Pyongan saying. Even cursing words differ by region. The words of Jeolla Province and the words of Gyeongsang Province differ, too. That is why, when speaking of the background of the Eight Provinces, Pyongan is “a fierce tiger emerging from the forest” (맹호출림), and Hamgyong is what?
Centered on the characteristics of the Eight Provinces and their rivers and mountains, they assigned what could be favorable to themselves. Are the people of Pyongan a “fierce tiger emerging from the forest”?
It is someone like President Moon who is the fierce tiger emerging from the forest. Why does the fierce tiger appear neither on the white sands nor in the air, but emerge from the forest? It is because it means to hide and seize its prey.
Even when speaking of history, not knowing that there is such a tradition, they indiscriminately attach whatever is called good, and riding on that name, they say they are people of such-and-such a place.
What do the people of Jeolla say?
From the age of thirteen to fifteen, I went about visiting the yangban houses of all the Eight Provinces, playing the beggar and begging for food. The thought was: when I come again, they will not know who I am. Since the time has come, I say such things for the first time.
The Historical Origin of the Twelve Tribes
You have gone about hanging out the signboard of the Unification Church, but can you come and go through this gate as you please?
Do you know the law of the Unification Church?
You are people who do not know the law. There is the earthly law and the heavenly law. President Moon stands upon the foundation of having unified them into harmony and unity—yet people who lived doing nothing come and do what? They go to the gisaeng house, drink and carouse, and then come saying, “President Moon, let us meet.”
I am a person who will not meet even my uncle or an eighth cousin by marriage. That is how I live. I am a person who, seeing something wrong before my eyes, cannot close my eyes and sleep. They say they are going to buy twelve buses—including the one for Jeju Island. It should be thirteen, so why was Jeju left out? Jeju Island is a place where the ancestral rite is offered.
One must cross over to offer the rite, and only after devoting more than a hundred conditions of devotion can one cross to Jeju Island by boat.
Even when the state sent people into exile, everyone hated crossing to Jeju Island by boat, yet there were people who went there and cultivated the Way, and many became famous. Go and see the land called Jigwido at the tip of Jeju Island. I even thought of building a world-class hotel there—how did it turn out?
Do you know how much I prayed there, looking at Mount Halla of Jeju?
When you look at Mount Halla from there, it is like a betrothed woman who, having married, could not receive her groom on the first night of welcoming him, and lies dead, covered with a white cloth. It is exactly so.
Even the grave made for one who died that way in our village was a person I knew well. I simply have not spoken of it, but if you must know, I too am a son born of a noble house. The women always say, “Oh, I wish Teacher had become my groom.” Because in the spirit world, they are taught all manner of things; they think that way. Father is not a person who lives carelessly.
What would it take to form the twelve tribes? You cannot do it unless you make the women into people who, if told to die, can step forward to the place of death. If that had not been done, Jacob could not have gone to Haran and taken back the blessing of the satanic world. The historical origin of the twelve tribes is set up that way.
Do you think Father likes you because he knows nothing?
He is not a person who would use you up and cast you aside. To all you noble ladies, I have attached the name value by which you can become princesses of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Nothing of How I Have Come This Far Was by My Strength
In coming this far, there is not a single thing I have accomplished by my strength. When I was in the Pantanal in South America, I fought for a full five years—seven years by the count. I went, on a day when lightning struck, to a place no one had gone, a place from which someone had fled while trying to go.
A sukuri (Sukuri; a Brazilian anaconda) snake, climbing and riding a cloud, was struck by lightning and fell dead. Seeing it drifting down the river, since it looked like a dragon, I went about searching, thinking, “Is there such a dragon?” It is a story like a dream.
I saw exactly how our family would be ruined. From Heaven I heard the words, “Your family will become like this. The time will come when even your elder brother and elder sister go mad and can ruin your path.” I heard those words before the age of ten, and when I passed the age of fifteen, that thing came upon me. “In such-and-such a place in your village, there is a tiger's den.
Until you reach the age of thirty, I will watch over you from that ridge and supervise how you live, and if you do not live properly, I will devour you.”
I heard all these dreamlike words, and since there was such a ridge, you cannot know how many enemies there were on the road I came by. In every village, enemies appeared. No one knows that.
Who would believe dreamlike words, words muttered to oneself?
How does it work when a person with a substantial body that can survive comes and acts? A spirit person, too, is a living being. I do not know who taught me, but not just anyone can come and teach me.
When the sages and the four great saints came, even when I was a baby, I would ask, “Who are you?” Then, “Yes, I am the one called Augustine.” “I do not know a man called Augustine—how did Augustine come here?” “I came because I know you.” “But I do not know you—when did you come to know me?” “You do not know it, but you will come to know. When you grow as old as I am, you will become greater than I. From the time I entered the rank of the saints, I have served looking upon President Moon's photograph.”
How is there a photograph of me in the spirit world? Those who can see what was within God's mind say they saw it. When I was five or six years old, a man of seventy came and bowed to me in greeting.
When I asked, “Why does a man older than my grandfather come and bow to me?” he said, “I saw your face like that of a baby boy, but because I knew that face would grow and become like this, I came to attend you who are like the photograph of that baby,” and even as he tried to pass by, his feet would not move. “Only when I greet you will they move, so I live without speaking, unable to tell anyone,” he said.
It was said that a tiger came and went, keeping guard in the village where I lived. “You go about as a little child without knowing it, but the tiger is always prepared and keeping watch,” he said. He was speaking entirely of things I did not know.
It is said that for an imugi to become a dragon and rise, it must hold the yeouiju in its mouth—what is that yeouiju? I heard such words from my great-granduncle. He said the dragon rises only when it holds the yeouiju in its mouth, and that to pierce through the net cast over the world of clouds and rise, it must hold the yeouiju—and what is that yeouiju? A yeouiju is a yeouiju.
I knew. The yeouiju is the central secret wrapping of the woman! What is it? It is the woman's pudendum. Is it not the righteous master's seat of the woman? Yeouiju!
Why could God not explain the yeouiju to Adam and Eve?
Why could He not? The master who taught me was the God of the night. I came to know that there is a God who, after the creation, could not intervene in the fall.
You Must Achieve Perfection Centered on the Textbook
If you disappear, where do I go?
God comes seeking and says, Let us make Adam and Eve again, centering on me. If that does not happen, the logic is that I too disappear and God too disappears. If God too is an odd number with no partner, what becomes of Him? How can an absolute God carry out judgment, and love and be the master of life? To claim He can is the talk of a madman.
The absolute is only one; it speaks of the very top, and there is no partner there—so how does He judge? Is he to become a judge and send the good to heaven and the evil to hell? It is by treading upon good and evil that one rises—so in a world with no partner, how does He play the role of God?
For the absolute God to play the role of God, there is the shadow of the unique, the unchanging, and the eternal.
Absolute, unique, unchanging, eternal! Within the absolute, the unique, the unchanging, and the eternal must follow. The absolute is an odd number, so it has no partner. Before the absolute, there must be the partner of the unique, the unchanging, and the eternal so that it does not disappear.
If you look at the title of this original text, it is “The Settlement of the Abel UN and the Completion of Cheon Il Guk Is Korea”—what does this mean? It said, “The Settlement of the Abel UN and the Completion of Cheon Il Guk Is Korea,” so why does Korea become that? The settlement of the Abel UN and the completion of Cheon Il Guk were begun by a Korean, so they must take root in Korea. The title has said it all.
God's creation is the making of His own world of partners. Making the partner that becomes the even number was to form the foundation of existence upon which God can give and receive. What does the absolute God do alone? He disappears. The absolute God does not disappear because of human beings. It is because He created the partner.
A sphere cannot be formed by the vertical alone, nor by the horizontal alone.
Which comes first, the horizontal or the vertical? Which comes first? Joining them this way, the right hand must go on top. Centered on the right hand, it must go this way, and turn this way, and the left hand must turn this way. So when the large gear turns once, this one turns twice.
Therefore, the partner must serve before the subject. And the subject must love twice as much toward that which can serve. He must protect it, nurture it, and raise it. He must feed it, rear it, and protect it. There is no law that a man should live for a man. A man and a woman must each exchange places with each other.
Now, I am leaving. Do not say next time, when I say something, that I am repeating. Will you promise not to complain even if I repeat it hundreds of times? “Yes.” Since you are not even kindergartners, do not complain that you are being treated poorly. What should be said once, I repeat ten or a hundred times. Do you understand? “Yes.” If you understand, applaud. (Applause)
I am leaving behind the teaching materials and textbooks and teaching them. Since I have left these behind for over thirty years and cannot transmit them in three hours, I wait and hope that you will practice that history and ask you never to miss that time, never to be absent, and to attend the place of gathering with zeal. I am going to Yeosu and Suncheon. There is much work to be done there.
I memorized all the Myeongsim Bogam, the Cheonjamun (Thousand Character Classic), and the “untitled poems” here, but I have forgotten them all. In the Garden of Eden, none of this existed.
So I can be free and unrestrained, and the time has come when I can do any work as long as there is God's command. Knowing this, do not try to follow the teacher; since you could not reach that place, you must achieve perfection centered on the textbook that has been left behind.
