Become Filial Sons, Patriots, Saints, and Divine Sons

Cheon Jeong Gung, Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, Korea

Hyo Yul, after your nephew became engaged, you must reflect on the two of them and their relationship to the Unification Church, considering that with the new departure of a new era, a representative first couple has been gathered before Heaven, and as you think upon the scope of 194 Abel nations, you must consider whose result is at the center—mine, theirs, or God's. Is God at the center? Are the leaders of the world at the center? Am I at the center?

Korea Will Rise to the Summit

From that standpoint, speak even a brief representative testimony. This morning, give a talk that cannot help but become a gift remaining in the hearts of many. “We now have a good report from President Pak, who has just returned from America.”

Together with that report, speak your words. (Kim Hyo Yul reads President Pak Bo Hi's report letter.)

Pak Bo Hi carried this out, and for this year's budget, a sum of 4.5 billion won has been decided. Our organization holds a record more representative than any other organization.

The leading nations of World War II were Britain, America, France, Japan, Germany, and Italy, but the Korean people came under their debt, and the people of the world made sacrifices because of Korea.

The Little Angels' tour this time is important, but if the Universal Ballet—which is drawing attention as a nucleus of worldwide cultural activity—uses more than two-thirds of this money for worldwide performances, what kind of three-dimensional effect will be gathered? I see that there is no corner in the whole world where its effect would not be made manifest. Therefore, as one of those of us who passed through the Korean War, I see this as offering the greatest cultural fruit by which we may repay our debt—it is a precious movement.

Yesterday I stopped by Seoul Gangnam Church. The Unification Church has been established in an important place. I considered what it would have been like if we had occupied such a position thirty years ago. What is a connection (yeon)? A connection is not formed vertically but horizontally. Because it is formed horizontally, someone must create the motive and cause it to flow horizontally.

Because Heaven is vertical, it can stand in the subject position and descend from above, but this flows horizontally, just as something flows from front to back. It also influences what lies ahead. You must consider that horizontal object relationships require many times more effort than the vertical subject-object relationships that flow naturally from on high.

In conducting cultural activities, we have Korea's Little Angels and the Universal Ballet; this is a time of new origin in which Western and Eastern cultures can be transformed. To leave upon heaven and earth a resonance that can vibrate in rhythm with that is to make Korea a path along which, from above by Heaven and below to the very bottom of hell, all may flow naturally along a vertical axis.

Thus, when a single pillar-like current arises in the world, all surroundings that look upon that pillar are cleanly drawn into its sphere of influence. Therefore, with gratitude and in rhythm, you must make your own life accord with it.

If you become people who can live holding this as their hope, the Korean people can advance to a position where, for the sake of God's homeland, they may dignifiedly bring the position and value of their people to fruition. (Reading continues.)

Korea will rise to the summit. When everything is turned upside down, the nation that was at the very bottom rises to the summit. When we consider that the One who governs both bottom and summit is God and our Father, how greatly will my joy, my family, my nation, and the environment of my Father become a source of pride to this cosmos (Cheonju)? Those who live saying, “I am one companion among them who is not missing,” will conclude their life's course as a course more valuable than any other.

You must also know that, centering on those descendants, a tradition capable of establishing a new nation in yet another new world will arise, and you must consider that the 80 million Koreans who participate in this will rise to a position more precious than any valuable thing throughout history.

Therefore, I ask that you pass through this period without losing the heart of prayer in the depths of your heart. (Reading continues; in particular, that we are carrying out this work while celebrating the birthday of True Parents is a joy beyond words…)

The Won Hwa Movement of Give-and-Take

Together with this, the solar and lunar calendars, the new and old calendars, are disappearing, and the original power for a new departure, centered on the root of the old calendar, is beginning. Eastern people are wise.

They use the right hand—why was the right side arranged as the center of the whole?

Because it is far from the heart. The Eastern people knew this. God also knows this and uses His right hand. When you do something like taekwondo, you give force, but the force you have given is not received back—it is all lost. Taekwondo is practiced centering on expenditure.

When you consider this, Father's Won Hwa Do is a new tradition in the world of martial arts. In striking with a circular form, rather than striking this way, one strikes downward from here. Because the force in the middle becomes the object partner, it splits up and down. Therefore, the martial art of the future is Won Hwa Do.

Won Hwa Do (圓和道) means “the way that is always harmonized in a circular form.” What is do (道)?

It is to bear the character “head” (首) atop the road (辶) and carry it about. One bears the head and ascends high; one does not go downward. Considering this, Korea is also the nation that became the motive for the use of the right hand. The same is true of taekwondo and of acupuncture.

The martial arts also originated in Korea, and now, centering on Won Hwa Do, we have entered a position where we can hold the entire authority of the martial arts world. When this happens, there is nothing to fear. From the beginning to the end of the world, all at once and in their entirety, this circular movement must be performed. There is no such thing as straight-line movement. All movement is a Won Hwa movement of give-and-take, not straight-line movement. Straight-line movement cannot exist.

In that sense, women, too, will hereafter roll all the Western men about. They will roll them to the left, roll them to the right, roll them up and down. From bottom to top, the Won Hwa Do that can be reversed—on that do one must bear the character “head” (首) and proceed. This rises. It rises day by day.

Do you know that for women, centering on menstruation, the age of 47 is the boundary line?

It is hard to pass beyond 51. When passing over that hill, sons and daughters must guide their parents' way forward. Considering this, it is a mother's precious position to bear and raise descendants; and when she passes over the hill of menstruation, she hopes that her sons and daughters will become substitutes greater than herself.

When you know that this is the parents' wish and the family's wish, women must think of raising younger women and women better than themselves. The only way is Hoon Dok Hae (훈독회).

The character “hun (訓)” in Hoon Dok Hae consists of the radical “word (言)” with “three ages (川).” Also, with the radical “word (言)”, it is not “buy (買)” but “sell (賣)”—so it means to sell the word.

A mother gives birth to sons and daughters through the womb. A woman giving birth to a woman is possible without limit through grafting, branches, or roots—but how can a man come from that?

Was the origin of a man coming forth because a woman came first, or because a man came first? Whichever way one looks at it, one must see that it came about because the woman came first.

Then, what is the standard of “man”?

That is not a standard found in women. It must without fail be transferred from God. Therefore, the woman has a womb that can receive, and the man has a rod that can give.

If that rod does not move, the sperm cannot be placed in the mother's belly. Such force, too, did not begin from the woman but began from the One who is the masculine subject—the one and only Master. The nation that attends that God is Korea. (End of reading.)

You Must Cross the Tedious Hill

Speak about your nephew's marriage. Today, in this hour, ours is the position of having to digest the solar calendar centering on the lunar calendar and to proceed. (Kim Hyo Yul, report.)

Now Hoon Dok Hae is set to end before 7 o'clock. No matter how much one wishes to continue, when 7 o'clock comes, it ends. In the past, Hoon Dok Hae went on until 3 or 4 o'clock. Midnight, 1 o'clock, and 2 o'clock were ordinary. Therefore, among those who came here, there was not a single person who thought well of Father.

Why was so much time spent?

It was not because you liked it. The tedious hill had to be crossed. If twelve hours were spent, the day was different. People came thinking it would end within 30 or 40 minutes, but when they had to cross the hill in twelve hours, they thought it was madness. There was no one who did not curse. They considered Father to be the very one who was ruining Hoon Dok Hae.

How must one cross the boundary line, the threshold?

When the people of Israel left Egypt, they sprinkled the blood of the lamb from the inside of the threshold to the outside and crossed over by treading upon it. To save those who had sinned, one must purify in such a manner.

So when one comes out and likewise when one enters, someone must catch a lamb and sprinkle its blood, and one must tread upon it to enter.

The souls of the satanic world must die and hope to cross over by treading on their footprints—but who does this? There is no one who does it. Yet because Father became a wicked grandfather and held a twelve-hour Hoon Dok Hae, no one cursed him. Because it was tedious and difficult to endure, they cursed. “Father is a 90-year-old elder; here is a venerable man who is nearly twice our age, and he does this? Being good-natured is fine, but a grandfather who does not know how the world works is a problem.” They thought of every imaginable thing.

Yet Father did it so that one could enter in by sprinkling the blood of the sacrifice. When you open the door of the satanic world and come out, it becomes the Kingdom of Heaven; but in fighting Satan and overcoming tedium and crossing over with sprinkled blood, centering on that tedium, people cursed even Father. Among such people, no one says he will sacrifice for Father's sake.

Because Father has carried on the sacrificial bridge by which he sprinkled blood, we have crossed over just as in Moses' time, when they crossed by sprinkling blood and treading upon it; but now, in Father's place, you must do it. Because the people of Israel could not do it, Father laid the bridge. The laying of that bridge is not for the world alone. Heaven and earth must be connected, and the gates of heaven and earth must be joined and opened together—and the only one who can take responsibility for that is Father.

Therefore, though it is disagreeable, because it cannot but be done, things have come about this way. Centering on that time, in your endurance, you can be recognized by Heaven. In that sense, just as the solar and lunar calendars conflicted, so East and West differ, and the subject–object relationship of heaven and earth has been reversed.

Only now, in my indemnifying this work, all of it in entirety becomes the textbook and teaching material of God. It is not Father's textbook and teaching material.

When the people of Israel came out of Egypt, God also made them cross over by treading on blood, and when they entered, since there was no one to do so, God Himself walked that path. Because the one who must sacrifice for all that has sinned cannot but be attended as king, that nation has attended God. In the history of attending God, having passed beyond the gate, God established the Messiah in that nation.

The Messiah was thus established—yet the one who fights and wins is the Messiah. Jesus also had to fight and win. In thus fighting, winning, and entering, the Messiah cannot go in front. In the end, God must carry out a total indemnity. That period is the 13 years centered on True Parents.

The Fearfulness of Habit

Because you do not know what is so important, among you, some pray that Father may die quickly, and those who come for the first time say, “That old man! Now that I look, his eyes are clear and sharp, his nose smells well, and his mouth opens wide and pours forth mysterious words such as ordinary people cannot speak—it is interesting.”

Even when you look at his ears, his ears hear words that others cannot hear. He hears the absolute sound. Thus, he hears the absolute sound and sees, smells, and tastes all things with his mouth.

Those who head-butt well with the forehead are people of Pyeongan Province. In Father's student days, when he went out into the ssireum ring, and things did not go as he wished, he would butt them away.

If Father's head were like this, what would it be like if he butted from behind?

Right here juts out. Butting from behind, they do not realize it. When wrestling, just before the forehead turns backward, you strike it firmly, and at that instant, you lift with a left-leg throw or a hip throw and sweep them entirely over.

When Father puts on a leg lock and catches with these three toes alone, no one can pull free. When the leg is locked and more force is applied, the one caught tries to escape this way, but meanwhile, I, centering on the head, swing my hips around with a quick motion, and they are planted head-first into the ground.

Father was a ssireum athlete and a soccer player. In kicking the ball, one does not look at the goalpost and kick. The goal is here, but one draws an ellipse from the goal, and then—how is it done?

It extends to 5 meters, 7 meters, 8 meters, 9 meters, and 10 meters. Seeing that, one does not make the goal the target, but compares the place where I stand with the goal as the center. Then, centering on a distant mountain, because one knows what the difference is between one's eye and the distant mountain, if one simply puts the ball between those points, it goes without fail into the corner of the goal. No matter how the goalkeeper stretches his hands, it does not work. Such was the training.

I would tell Park Pan Nam of Ilhwa to do exactly as I instructed, but when the players got to that spot, they would forget. They forgot Father's words and shot at the goalpost.

If one shoots, centering on a point on the mountain that lies on the extended line connecting my eye and the goal, calibrating the angle—if one shoots centering on this within several meters—it strikes without fail to the left or the right of the goal.

So all hundred shots out of a hundred would go in, but they kick well and then forget at the very front of the goal.

The fearfulness of habit is something terrible. When one becomes 30 or 40 years old, can one correct a habit? The foot has already kicked. Even thinking about it, it cannot be corrected.

Yet from now on, when the first, second, and third generations come, I see that Korea cannot help but become the ancestor of soccer. President Moon may seem to be nothing, but in developing soccer, what is he?

It is the World Peace Cup Cain-Abel Cosmic Federation Competition. Discerning east, west, south, and north, Father and Mother held the World Peace Cup Competition here. Heaven and earth all paid attention, yet you, ignorant of the trend of affairs, must have thought, “Father and Mother are playing a game—what kind of game is this?”

We Must Return to the Original Position

When you think about mathematics, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are like the rails of a railroad—the height and spacing must remain forever equal. God must publicly affirm that law, and True Parents must also follow that law.

If they deviate from the law, True Parents will derail and shatter, and God, too, will vanish. Do you say jonghoeng (vertical-horizontal) or hoengjong? “Jonghoeng.” Do you say heugam (dark-darkness) or amheuk? “Heugam.”

In the Bible, it is said, “And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.”

Is morning the first day, or is evening the first day? “Morning.” Since it says, “And there was evening and there was morning, the first day,” that means three days. The number is three. What is left? The central number remains. Even if there is nothing here, God exists. God is always seated on the throne of glory.

Who comes first—man or woman? Is night first, or day first? We say “night and day”; have you heard the words “day and night”?

God is the harmonized neutral subject partner of dual characteristics, yet in terms of position, is the masculine subject—how is it then? If God had reproductive organs, would they resemble those of a man or those of a woman? “Those of a man.” The reproductive organs are fundamentally different. The male organ falls from above downward, while the female organ must receive, like a cup whose water flows out in all four directions. I have spoken of the jar.

In Korean, there is the expression cho bu deuk sam (初不得三, “if not gained at first, then by the third”). Does Japanese also have cho bu deuk sam?

Does English have such an expression?

The term “re-creation” originated in the Unification Church. Since it was lost, one must return to the original position.

What ought to have been like this came to be like that, and at the third attempt, one returns to the original position.

The nation that comes out if one drills through the earth from Uruguay is Korea. Korea and Uruguay resemble each other. There, too, there were 33 warriors who carried out a revolution within a year and six months. That is why Father took up residence in Uruguay. Flowing from north to south, centered on the Andes Mountains, the Paraguay River extends for more than 2,000 kilometers and connects to the Paraná River, which is over 3,000 kilometers long.

The Amazon River crosses horizontally, passing through forest regions. Because it is a region that functions like a lung, it produces air and regulates the air of the world so that it may be balanced. Yet the air is disappearing. It is because pastures are being made and the forests are vanishing.

If trees are not planted in those pastures to compensate for what is being consumed, in the time to come, the air will disappear and the earth will be ruined, becoming an age in which it must automatically vanish.

To prevent this, Father labored, but the Vatican made a fuss, saying he was a man to be killed; the UN made a fuss, and the Soviet Union made a fuss. Yet the Christian cultural sphere cannot match Father.

The Old and New Testaments cannot match the Unification Principle. When God opens the storehouse of the secret world He loves, in the list of possessions there, there is not one thing of all that exists in this missing world. Everything is in there.

You Must Become Historic Filial Sons, Patriots, Saints, and Divine Sons

If there is a lock to the heavenly kingdom, President Moon has the key and can open it wherever he goes. He has keys that open even the secret storehouse with a quick click-click; there are thirteen keys, seventeen keys, even twenty-one keys.

There is no storehouse he cannot open. He can open even the storehouses of bandit gangs, horse-mounted brigands, pirate bands, the Mafia, the yakuza, and all gangs.

Therefore, this is not a settlement age but the reign of peace, so he is the King of kings. From childhood, he attended God, and within President Moon's one body, the King of Peace and the King of Lineage—two kings—are realized. Thus, there comes to be a homeland in which the fights of the spirit world and physical world, of Cain and Abel, vanish. It becomes the homeland of one unified world in which God may act as He wills.

God's hometown is set in the land of Jeongju, but what about His sons and daughters?

The homeland is inherited as the homeland, but the place of birth becomes one with God's hometown.

Centering on your place of birth, where both mother and father are present, you are as one born with the original blood lineage of the parents before the Fall, so there is no hindrance to grafting you in as members of Heaven's household.

Therefore, when the two worlds come to stand together in the same place as Heaven's household, all things of heaven and earth pass over into the era of liberation and release, into the great peaceful age of eternal ages.

Unless one lives according to President Moon's word, all will vanish.

If one receives the seed and sows it and harvests it, regardless of where on earth one goes to gather, if one sows that seed for a thousand or ten thousand years, roses come forth—not wild rose brambles. Therefore, to inherit the lineage from the day of birth, what must one do with all the ownership in one's possession?

To claim knowledge, land, sea, or water as one's own will not do. Such a nation vanishes.

The wild rose must change into the rose. At the very bottom of the wild rose is God. The people who know only God know the King-God. Therefore, the volume centered on the King of Peace and the King of Lineage has come forth.

Until now, there has been the thought of attending God, the Lord of peace. The Korean people know that the world will become one.

No one may use force to fight. To resolve the resentment (han, 한) of the Fall, one must untie what pertains to the Fall. Without engrafting, restoration cannot occur again. President Moon has become 90, yet he is as dignified as a young man. He does not know how to sleep, eat, or play. Therefore, the satanic world of playing and eating cannot prevail. Among you, raise your hand if you think you can prevail over Father.

The nation that attends God is the one and only Korea. We have suffered hardship full of han, and how greatly has God also suffered? He has been in prison, undergoing prison life, and has come forth.

Above this book is Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong; above Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong is the Family Pledge; above the Family Pledge is Cheon Seong Gyeong; above Cheon Seong Gyeong is the World Scripture. These are the textbooks and teaching materials centered on God.

In studying these, those who omit any portion cannot inherit the position of victorious supremacy of princes and princesses who may inherit the authority of totality, comprehensiveness, full authority, and omnipotence of the heavenly kingdom. They live in the royal palace but cannot attend God.

All these must be completed. Therefore, the era centered on President Moon has now passed. Truly, you must become historic filial sons, patriots, saints, and divine sons. Then your families and clans can live possessing a value equal to that of God.

Do you know how easy it is to lecture the Principle? You must not merely memorize and recite, “Wewe-we…!” What Father has spoken is all alive in here. Even a thousand years from now, what will become of Father's words?

Even if Father is gone, even after a thousand years, the devotion of descendants will be grafted onto these teaching materials. One cannot speak of history while losing hold of this, nor can it be said that one studies while ignorant of this. All of this must be finished.

Therefore, to make it simple, in the end, this one book is enough: The Owner of Peace, the Owner of the Lineage. He is the King of Peace, who attends God, and the Savior of all nations, the King of all nations. He is the one and only King among all kings. When the King of Peace and the King of Lineage are joined, True Parents on earth and the invisible, formless God automatically become one.

Not all of Father's words are Father's own. When Father prayed in his twenties, even the old grandfathers, upon hearing it, said that they would not exchange it for the five offerings of ox, pig, chicken, and so forth that they would receive on their sixtieth birthday. To that degree, his prayers were prayers of renown.
