The Law of Natural Order and the Enthronement Ceremony of the King of Kings

Cheon Jeong Gung, Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, Korea

Where did it go? [Response: “The report…”] We're supposed to give the commentary before the report, aren't we? [Response: “Without praying first?”] It will be better to do it before the prayer. We pray once everything is finished. (Hoon Dok reading of Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong, Chapter XIV)

The Principle by Which the World Can Be Made One

What comes around each time used to be fifty-two weeks, but Ahn Shi Il makes it forty-six weeks, doesn't it? The commentary that must come first cannot belong to God alone, nor can it belong to True Parents alone.

Centered on yourself, there are your parents and your siblings, and then in your neighborhood, there are seniors and juniors. Such relationships, centered on the vertical and the horizontal, have been divided into Cain and Abel. What is the way to make that world one? Without this principle, there is no path to oneness.

Up to now, you have been reciting the Family Pledge every week — “wuh, wuh, wuh…!” — chanting it the way a blind man rattles off the Palyanggyeong sutra, so that it has scattered away into the air. You have recited “wuh, wuh, wuh…!” from a place where your very self had vanished. A pledge that leaves nothing behind is worthless, even if you call it ten million times.

That is why, on Ahn Shi Il, you must read this without fail, and having read it on Ahn Shi Il, you live that way for the whole week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. What is “month/moon”? What does wol (月) mean? It speaks centered on the earth, doesn't it? What must exist on the earth? There is heat. There are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. And then? Thursday, Friday, Saturday—it is arranged this way.

Every object that exists in the universe lives within one purposeful realm centered on a bond of solidarity, and it advances toward a unified ecological world within that purpose. They are not separated. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are not split apart. That is centered on the Earth.

What is the Earth?

You yourselves are just like the ground. God is the center of the great universe, and you are the object partner; the relative being is the earth. And the moon refers to the woman before the man. It refers to the earthly body itself, and within it there is heat without fail.

What is your ordinary temperature?

It is thirty-seven degrees. You hold a heat of 36.5 to 37 degrees. This is a tremendous heat. When you tuck your hand somewhere in the cold, the hairy places give off the most heat—why? Hair is an organ that generates heat, so when you reach there, it is the warmest. There is heat within myself, and what else? Three-quarters of your body is water, isn't it? That water boils and brings everything to the same temperature, so it keeps the balance.

After Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, what comes?

[Response: “Thursday, Friday, Saturday.”] What is “wood” (木)? It refers to the grasses and trees. The vegetation grows, and beneath it lie all the gold and silver and jewels. It is wood, metal, and earth—and what is “earth” (土)? It is soil, isn't it? Then comes the “day/sun” (日). It means a day. A person who lives by a single day finds that, centered on himself, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are linked together and form one lump. Standing on the common ground where body temperature and the apportioned, balanced volume of water meet, my life goes on living.

Until now, you have chopped up the week—Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday—and thought of it that way, but it is centered on your body. In the body, there is fire, water, vegetation, metal, soil, and the day. They go around. For me to greet the day that encircles the substance of my life, Monday through Saturday are not split apart but connected.

All Things Are United in a Bond of Solidarity

Until now, you have known each weekday — Monday is Monday, and all of them — as something separate, but this is a single string. Just as you clasp your five fingers, the seven become one string, connecting the subject-content of my life so that I live. In it, a man as a man and a woman as a woman, in the perfection of the individual, share the same content of life on an equal footing and pass through the same patterns of living.

When you rise in the morning, you eat, and then you work. Throughout life, lap by lap, centered on the horizontal, you keep rising and growing. Having gone up, when Sunday comes, centered on the “day,” what is it? There is night within the day. Day and night are relative, so having gone up, you must come down and rest. Having worked, you must rest. People live having completely forgotten that everything stands in a relative relationship by the principle of yin and yang. Have you ever thought that the week is strung on a single string?

The moon is a relative being. The moon before the earth is just like a wife. What makes the water move—why does the water move? It moves by the gravitational pull of the moon. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Our ancestors, for the perfection of their own single self, begin on Sunday.

The moon revolves around the Earth. The Earth is the subject, but within the solar system, how is it? The Earth orbits the sun too, doesn't it? And the sun goes around the great universe. The sun, centered on its nine planets, makes one circuit around the 360 degrees of the great universe. To make one circuit, it goes around stringing together Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. They are not split apart. People live without knowing a single one of these explanations. Isn't that so? And so, through such an explanation, things become bright.

Now, centered on Monday through Saturday, the Book of Changes speaks of the principle of yang and yin—the relationship of the sun, the moon, and the earth is one integrated relationship. The sun is not separate, the moon is not separate, the earth is not separate. They are one. Then the nine planets are not each doing as they please. Keeping the beat, near or far, they revolve centered on the sun. The whole of the solar system turns as one string; the nine planets are not scattered, each doing as it pleases. It is one string.

When we look at our body, the seven openings automatically form one string. Pinch the nose and — tssk! (he pinches his nose, closes his mouth, and exhales forcefully) — they all open. They are all connected. Cells and hairs, too, when you blow like this while asleep, snap straight. All things are united in a bond of solidarity; where is there any isolated individualism?

Take this person—where does the person himself exist?

He subsists within the universe, filling his own single place. The universe does not omit that place. Doing its bonded, circular motion, it passes through everything, equipped with an equal measure and content, finds him, greets him, lives together, and so the day passes and the night passes. That is how what was exhausted can rise again. To find one day of the week again, the bonded days that inevitably circulate keep going, so that a month becomes thirty or thirty-one days.

That is why, when we say “thirty,” it speaks of a plus. One is the plus, and two becomes the object partner. Centered on one, there are two. Three is also a subject. It is the place of the one. Speaking in terms of generations, if the first generation is the father, the younger sibling becomes the second generation. This is the relationship between the subject and the object.

The horizontal subject-and-object and the vertical parent-child subject-and-object—inside and out, it is a subject-and-object of three faces.

So the subject and object of the four directions revolve, and as the day comes, inside and out are formed, and the days on the horizontal standard become up and down.

Up and down are formed, and day after day passes to make a month. Up and down must be connected for a month to be strung together. They are all strung together. And so, centered on twelve months, 360 days are strung.

What Is Absolutely Necessary Is the Center

As I said yesterday, centered on the knot, grandfather, and father and oneself are three generations, but centered on the three generations, it extends out to the cousins.

Why is the father's younger brother called samchon—third-uncle?

Passing through the father and the grandfather, he is three, hence samchon. So, judging by what has been split, the father is vertical and the uncle is horizontal.

Horizontal and vertical, plus and minus. What is high becomes low, and what was made low becomes high. This goes to the right and then to the left, and this very motion is turning together with the great universe.

Ceaselessly, it aligns its direction and changes. The changing itself, holding a bonded relationship, does not dissolve and keeps its measure for hundreds of millions of years—so although the earth has orbited the sun for tens of millions of years, it is not off by even one second.

If it were off by even one second per year, then over billions of years, that would be a gap of a hundred and some years, and everything would split apart. Nowhere can a single thing fall away.

A person living as if he had no relation to the great universe does not know this fundamental thing. He carries on as he pleases. Centered on the days, he forgets the week. Centered on the week, he forgets the month. Forgetting the month, he forgets the year. Forgetting the year, he forgets the decade; forgetting the decade, he forgets the century.

So when you multiply ten thousand by ten thousand, it becomes a hundred million, but if the hundred million does not fit and turns back, everything cannot be gathered into one.

To become a hundred million, there are nine places—a one in front of eight zeros. Up to nine, it stands like this—standing in a single line. Ten is a horizontal two-digit number. This rises by a single digit, yet it is two digits. Ten as two digits is something new. It is a new number of two places.

You strike root centered on the new number of the vertical and horizontal; you do not root only in the vertical. If you do not root in the horizontal, life is not connected. It is the relationship of subject and object.

That is why, centered on absoluteness, true love is the subject of the sperm, and true life is the subject of the egg. Tying such sperm and egg together and making them one is the lineage. Within the lineage, the upper and lower are connected without fail.

So, where is the nucleus where the upper is connected?

Not above, not below—only in the center. Why? The nucleus is where two points are connected; when the two points head toward the larger, once they part, there is forever nothing to connect them. There is forever nothing.

Entangle this so that the two points stand at the place of the nucleus, and the bigger it grows, the more the nucleus, following along, can synthesize the force of the four directions. The central root, the central sprout—small, invisible, gathered together—forms a tiny circle. The great universe is the same. The constructive method, the formula of this content, is one, not two. It is the unified relationship of subject and object. It requires a unified realm of the object partner, and the object, parting from the subject even for an instant, vanishes. From that moment, it begins to dwindle.

If the horizontal is not filled, what would come down to the center from the vertical to the horizontal—if it keeps going this way, it disappears.

If the man as a man and the woman as a woman go seeking the larger, they become one and then drift ever farther apart.

Once parted, what then?

Even if a man says he needs her, a father says he needs her, a mother says she is needed, heaven and earth say she is needed—what happens? There is nothing left to become one with.

So what is it that is absolutely necessary?

For the two to split, they move within the conceptual realm of having split centered on the nucleus, centered on the center, so the right side is needed, and the left side is needed. That is why it turns. It turns, and not in one place only. Each day it turns east and west, but it also turns north and south. It turns north and south, yet it turns centered on a center that can become the halfway point. It turns according to the positions of countless forms.

We Do Not Know the “Middle” of Upper-Middle-Lower

Upper, middle, lower—when there is an upper, we do not know the middle. We do not know the nucleus.

What is Confucian thought?

It is upper-lower, left-right, front-back. There is no upper-and-middle. How is the upper connected?

Can it be like this or like that?

It must, without fail, become vertical, and there is only one way for that. The vertical is one way, and forever one way. When water falls from above, even if it travels a thousand years, however far, the place it lands is exactly one point. The center becomes one.

Then, when this whole thing shifts, at times it turns upside down, at times inside out. Turning thus, an ecological environment of harmony opens. Otherwise, there is no directional harmony. There is no directional unification. It is not unity.

Unless centered on the left and right, on starboard and port, you can come and join at the one point of the center; the two cannot give and receive. They cannot breathe in and out, swelling and shrinking.

Exercise is the same, isn't it?

Vertically, you stretch and contract; then horizontally you stretch and contract; then at forty-five degrees you stretch and contract; centered on 360 degrees you stretch and contract, contract and stretch, sit and stand, stand and sit. They alternate, and although every surface's crease has been made into a straight line, it has become like this.

So, since a crease has come here, here it must cross — make an X (⨉) — and stick. Only by becoming an X and sticking does it go anywhere; without forming the X and sticking, there is nowhere to go. It is halted right here.

The waxing and waning halves must come and meet centered on the central line and grow larger, and only then are they connected; in the shrinking direction, it enters in here and vanishes at the center. There is no such thinking — the thinking of the relative relationship.

When two—a man and a woman—try to grow, the man as a man and the woman as a woman, where does it go?

There must be parents there. Centered on the direction the parents set, the horizontal standard grows, and so does the vertical standard. As the horizontal standard grows large, it draws inward. This too grows by moving like this. Centered on the nucleus, doing this, it grows.

So what is lost?

Two beings split apart and hoped each would grow, but they have lost the center. So to take hold of the center — the center of upper and lower, the upper-middle-lower (one must take hold of the middle) — then right-middle-left, then front-middle-back. Then, centered on three faces, the nucleus opens up exactly. Centered on this nucleus, you can detach the motion and do it otherwise. Even done otherwise, it moves like this.

Everything Is Connected by Principle and Order

That is why, on the face, the number seven — centered on what is it the number seven?

One, two, three, four — these are all arranged horizontally. They are arranged in a level. The ears too are level, the mouth too is level. And the mouth — what is it? It comes down from here, receives here, and is matched. Centered on the two, here becomes the center. Here it is thick, and here it is thin, and it is fixed exactly here.

When sweat gathers here, do not just scatter it. With the lower lip, if you do this, what happens with the fine hairs and the creases? The creases are not made flat like this. Being made like this, even if there is a drop of water from above, it travels this way. Look here too — it is not straight but made this way, coming to a place where it can gather. It is centered on the raised part. What came first rose to the top and gathered, so it rounds out.

Naturally, since water has adhesive force, the sweat gathers into a round bead and is connected through these creases. Here is the underside, so it is round; here is the underside, so it is round. When they meet, what was here tries to rise like this and here tries to descend, so from here they can cross, and rolling round and round they fall.

Look at the lips — where the line is, it is thick, and here it is like this. It is shaped exactly like this. It is wondrously subtle. And it is surrounded by the line. When you do this, the line encircles the whole and spreads out farther than the mouth itself. In this way, it forms a circle. Here it receives the sweat, and since these two are made this way, the underside is thick. They take turns.

When you do this here, here is the bottom, so it is thick. You don't know it, but it is made that way. The root is made that way, and as the sprout joins with the sprout, the sweat too goes all the way around — coming down here, some of it doing the opposite — and thus mixing, it turns and turns. In this way, it comes to the mouth. Since you move your mouth freely, when you stretch it like this, it falls off. It is like shaking it off. Everything is connected by principle and order.

Even when it is still, the spherical shape forms from here like this, and the deeper it is, the better. The sweat, the water, slides right in. Centered on the mouth, here it rises. The muscles join, and so it becomes like a mountain peak.

Though it is invisible, fixed exactly like this, from there it trills, and around here it comes down. Here too, it is so. When you speak, the lips stick and unstick, descending along the lines. Those are the legs.

And so, centered on the lower lip, it is all arranged like this, all arranged this way, and from here they meet and turn. Because they have met, it is good! Having met, descending and rising, the two of them — turn, turn! Turning leftward, turning rightward, they all fall off. The manner of falling is the same. There is this turning, and this turning. Ten million creases form, don't they? Giving and receiving and exchanging like that, it is in motion.

The Way of Natural Order Has No Conflict

That is why, at a glance, when you see something lying like this, it ought to automatically become a full moon. It must not be a half-moon. Not a half-moon but a full moon. Centered on the mouth, centered on this, this too is precisely a cross. This distance, this distance. This distance must not be too long either. Beyond here it becomes a sag — so the sweat gathers from the center here, not from the level part here, and not from here. Such a person has a hard time when young.

Without fail, the relative relationship is connected, moving, and giving and receiving. Centered on the origin point, where the horizontal origin and the vertical origin meet at a ninety-degree angle, the vertical-and-horizontal zero point is in the same place. The center bears no load. Once you enter there, you can go this way or that way. You can go freely. Having come, you can even turn all the way around and rise this other way.

Then someone says, “Hey, why are you going up?” —and the reply is, “Since you can't climb this side, I'll climb first.” Then this side puts on fat. It becomes lopsided. When it becomes so, illness arises. You have to adjust it with a Happy-Health machine. We made the machine knowing all of this. We did not make the machine carelessly. So it fits. Because it can circulate and turn evenly, it loosens and comes into balance. It moves vertically and horizontally.

The vertical, in its vertical way, even flowing down from the top, flows this way too, and flows along while doing this. It comes down to giving.

Since the line is thick, much gathers. All the much gathers together here. What is here comes here and goes that way. The deeper the line, the more it slows at the underside, so it goes this way and that.

The way of natural order is enormous. The way of natural order has no conflict.

In the motion of natural order, what becomes of a conflicting environment?

There are all kinds — all kinds of ways of moving. The descending motion, by rising, takes hold of the swiftly rising one and arranges it so that the motion of natural order can proceed.

What is healthy is itself in motion. What descends and gives and receives. It rises this way too, tries to go inside and out, goes this way too, so centered on this line, what comes this way — what of it?

What comes down this way meets it. In this way, when it reaches the very tip, it becomes vapor and disperses. Why does water vapor arise? It arises this way. Unable to cling to the tip, being light, it falls away, and so it becomes vapor.

So you must know the principle of natural order.

If a husband and wife live together and each tries to be the master, what happens?

The husband must go first and come back. Turning quickly, if he goes ten ri and comes back fast, he comes halfway. Then, centered on the remaining half, since it tilts this way here, the woman says she will come this way.

At the zero point, no load is borne, so when you come here and match exactly, even giving like this brings no loss. “Ah, there's a road to travel. Here, you take it!” —that is how it is. What bears no load becomes an X (⨉).

The Self-First-ist Is the One Who Perishes First

That is why the horizontal line and the vertical line are everywhere an empty (zero) place. This too is the true empty place of the circle (〇), and this too is the empty place of the circle.

Meeting, they become exactly the nucleus. As in the saying “you and I are well-matched” — like a heaven-made spouse, set in the four directions of heaven and earth—would they try to stick together or try to part?

And so every storm that arises in the four directions cannot be resolved unless it passes through this nucleus and receives adjustment. A constructed body centered on the nucleus — when you think of such a thing, the principle of the universe all fits into that one formula.

When a man and a woman live together and each tries to be the center, where does it go? Not on the horizontal—centered on 360 degrees, becoming like this; this won't do! It must happen on the horizontal.

All action, too, happens on the horizontal, not as it pleases. That is why, if a man and a woman, centered on horizontal content, hold the mind to love the partner more than to love themselves, then even as I go this way, when I reach here, I swing around and try to go this way. What was going this way, if a partner is present, tries to go this way.

This too, going this way, heads for the empty place. Centered on the zero point where they can give and receive, at the place bearing no load, the circle (〇) and the X (⨉) may switch — and that is good.

Existing in that way, the circle and the X are enemies, yet at the nucleus, the starting point and the tip of the circle and the X do not fight. They are made to cling together.

Looking at the lines, too — they are winding, yet they come straight down. A person like Oyamada is just like the head of an old temple grandfather. The hairline has descended this far. Such a person cannot do as he pleases; he radiates heat in this direction. A person who has worked hard becomes that way. When he lives at home attending to his grandfather, he keeps his balance, but when he radiates heat, he goes bald, or becomes like this. The hairline descends like this, and he goes bald — all of that.

Baldness runs in the family, too. Since the ancestors became so, following them, one becomes so. Look at a person like Oyamada. It has receded more than halfway. It heats up like this.

Reciting Buddhist scriptures and forever knocking the wooden gong and mumbling, he takes on heat. Baldness means heat is generated, and it longs for the future, for the great thing. In the great universe, he ponders his own way.

A thinker, or such a person, centered on heaven, gazes into the air, and so heat is generated, and he goes bald. Since much heat is generated, he goes bald, doesn't he? It gets pulled out. About one hair comes out at a time, but since three take on the same heat, the hair gets pulled right out.

That is why the self-first-ist is the one who perishes first. If I, the founder of the Unification Church, speak of putting myself first, I must perish first. He is not a first-ist for his own sake. He stays up all night for the sake of the other. Such a first-ist radiates the heat of the whole on its behalf. Do not, by any means, block such people.

He works hard — but not zealously for his own sake. Even in studying, if you study hard, for whose sake is that study? Having learned, he climbs the wall, crosses the yard, goes over the mountain, and what? To teach, he crosses several ridges to go and teach. Because he learns, he knows what is beyond the ridge. And so he goes far.

Going far and not knowing how to return — that's a disaster! Having gone far, he returns. In returning, since the root sprang from the foundation, he learned that through the root the sprout spreads and then returns. Having returned, he must set it down like this, and only then do new branches come; if it stays a single one, no branch comes and no new sprout comes. If it cannot spread, the sprout dies and the branch dies.

That is why a person who does not know the environment of living for the sake of others is whittled down by himself and finally vanishes. He becomes a beggar. And even as a beggar, he does not stay in one village; where there is much water, he is pushed out into a world without water. There, trying to live as if among plenty of water, how hungry he grows, how he shrinks away. That is how it goes.

So the one who lives for the sake of others becomes the master. The root becomes the central root, and the sprout becomes the central sprout. When fruit is borne, too, the root stretches out, the sprout is connected, and at the tip of a branch that gives and receives strongly — what happens?

Fruit is borne on the branch nearest the sprout. Even on trees thousands of years old, there are branches beside the sprout centered on the center, but where ten fruits should be made on the part that sprouted, twenty fruits come up. It is only natural that fruit is borne in the place near the small branch, near here.

That is why, since much fruit is borne at the master's place, that becomes the central headquarters. The word “solitary and alone” means one lives weeping, shedding tears, shedding sweat, and finally even wetting oneself and soiling oneself, and dies quickly because the metabolism fails. Whee! (he whistles) That's a true saying.

Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Pyeonghwa Anshik Gweon

President Moon, in these two weeks, must handle ten things, twenty, fifty, even a hundred things centered on the record of history — how shall it be done? Answer! One person alone cannot. You must all become one with it.

Yesterday, too, was it not so?

Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Anshik Gweon — “peace” must be inserted there, but “peace” was dropped. Where must it be inserted? It is Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Pyeonghwa Anshik Gweon — the Realm of Cosmic Peace and Sabbath under the Parents of Heaven and Earth. The word “peace” was left out. This is a phrase of the original ideal world. Centered on God, it is the content of the peace within and without, the content of love, the content of absoluteness, the content of absolute life.

Without a foundation of peace, there can be no settlement. Without peace — a fence of harmony that can give support — settlement is struck down from the root. Is there anyone who thinks of such a thing? Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Pyeonghwa Anshik Gweon — how splendid. “Peace” means the vertical and horizontal become one, the left and right become one.

What must enter there?

Within the household of the Parents of Heaven and Earth and the Cosmos, there must be a nucleus. God is present, and centered on the Parents, a foundation of peace arises. As that place grows thick and dense, nothing can slip away. When you say “Cheonju Anshik Gweon,” have you not wondered, “What becomes of the root, or of the core of the kernel?”

That is because rest is needed at the standard of the original ideal, so it is all gathered at the inner nucleus. The outside is not yet so, but once the nucleus becomes the realm of the Sabbath and grows large, the outer too comes to rest. A foundation of peace surrounds it. When you say “Cheon Ji Bu Mo,” the middle is left empty, isn't it? When you say “Cheonju Anshik Gweon,” by inserting “peace” into the place that can be left empty and growing it large at the center, peace forms automatically and grows out.

Then everything enters the title. From that one title, the whole universe must be unraveled. Play back what you have recorded here and listen to it daily, every day. This is the path I have walked. You seek the path of liberation for entering the Kingdom of Heaven yourself. In the era of the womb, I must enter the womb, and enter even the womb of the Father.

Where do the sperm of the Father's love and the egg of the Mother's love meet? Where do they meet?

Do they meet in the womb-house?

The Father's sperm begins in the testicles! The womb-house and the egg are different. The testicles, too, are two. The testicles rise and fall, you know. Did you know that? The womb too rises and falls. When the belly swells, it is pushed down; when the belly is not swollen, it rises. It must breathe.

At times, if there is a hardness on the right, it is pushed to the left; if there is a hardness on the left, it is pushed to the right. It must go back and forth. That is interesting. Have you ever thought that the womb moves like this? Women don't even think about it! “It just sits there, that's all!” — they suppose. It swells and goes down, doing this and this, and so it breathes. When it shifts and crosses the boundary line, illness arises.

Then breathing grows labored. Ouch! Why “ouch”? “Ah, trouble has struck!” —that is “ouch” (aya). Putting it that way makes a fine interpretation. Why is the Korean word aya! (ouch)? “Ah, trouble!” — That's it. When you say “aya!,” it connects in meaning with a mother saying, “Hey, my baby!” (Ya, agiya!). Ouch! means it is painful. It means there is no freedom. It is all like this. You have to fit it right.

If Give-and-Receive Is Not Adjusted, Side Effects Arise

When a woman is with child, what is the education called — educating peacefully, I mean? [Response: “Prenatal education (taegyo).” Prenatal education! The womb must be at peace, no?

What is prenatal education?

It is making the womb able to be glad. If there is a place pulling to one side, what happens automatically? When the womb-sac swells and shrinks, if it is lopsided, it hurts, but naturally — how? It breathes like this, and air naturally enters, doesn't it? It swells and shrinks — must you wait for it? That would be a disaster. It is natural. It grows naturally, and growing naturally, it also closes naturally.

Listen to the breathing, and you can tell whether the baby will live long. Measure the breathing—is the inhaled breath strong, or the exhaled breath strong? Is it the woman who likes to receive, or likes to give? She likes to receive; if she likes to give, she does not last long. When breathing “hoo, hoo, hoo” three times, if she does four — “hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo” — the balance is that much off.

Scientifically, from that day, I can know the state of health by watching the breathing centered on the horizontal. The breath goes along a straight line like a sine curve — this and this and this — and when it juts out, pop, this side caves in. When this protrudes, the below caves in, so it hurts. So if give-and-receive is not adjusted, side effects arise.

Moxibustion — the metabolism works well when you do moxa, right? [Response: “Yes.”] When you are weary, do moxa before sleeping. There is a difference between doing moxa when weary and not doing it. When you sleep and rise and pass urine, little comes out. Sshh — it doesn't come out. Whose urine comes out sshh — a woman's or a man's? Have you thought about that?

When you go to the restroom, the man makes a tssk, tssk, tssk, but the woman goes sshh. Since it connects all the way to the womb house, there had been a space, and once it squeezes shut, it comes sshh.

The womb does the adjusting too, but for the man — what?

Since it hangs on the bladder itself, and the regulating organ, the stomach, is too thick and large to do the adjusting. The womb is not like that, so when the womb is empty, it shrinks greatly and pushes out hard, so it goes sshh.

For a man, looking centered on the testicles, the swelling and shrinking are small, so it goes drip, drip, drip. Watch quietly, and it's true. Because you observe the physical capacity by which husband and wife can harmonize, there is a healthy person and a weak person. Put two healthy people together, and one dies sooner. The balance is off.

When they unite as one, if the man is healthy, he is always on top, and the woman is always dragged along, shrinking, so she does not last long. The standard for keeping balance fails, and the vertical-and-horizontal points shift, so they do not live long.

The Law of Natural Order

So when you walk a road — ten ri, twenty ri, walking thirty ri — how weary do your feet grow? Ten ri, twenty, thirty, fifty, seventy, up to a hundred-twenty ri. And from a hundred-eighty ri? Look. Two-times-four is eight (2×4=8); three-times-four is twelve (3×4=12).

Up to two-thirds — from here, up to eighty ri — you lived tilted, but to go ninety, a hundred, a hundred-twenty ri, both are consumed, so when you reach a hundred-twenty ri, the moment you sit, you must fall asleep. You have to know that yourself—what state your health is in.

When Father enters a place like a prison, he is very sensitive. He keeps an exact balance. If the balance is off even a little, you would not believe how disruptive it is. Fail to do that, and after three days, four days, just a week, you go off-balance.

When you walk, you tilt and try to go this way. Trying to go this way, this distance shortens. This shortens too. By encroaching on this side and driving it out, it flees that far. It avoids it.

Watch the breathing, and you can tell. Even more, when men sleep and snore — what is it? Don't despise a person who snores. He's that way because he is healthy. He's fast at climbing mountains and swimming.

In swimming, you put force into the lungs, no? Putting force in the legs and here means there is a direct distance to the lungs.

The legs receive the stomach's force. If the stomach is sturdy, you climb hills well too. If the hands are sturdy and the lungs are good, you swim well. A marathon runner has healthy lungs. The proportions must all match.

What happens when a fine, beautiful woman pairs with a handsome man? If both go up high, unless one is high and one is low, everything dies there. Then a deficit arises in the lower or the upper, and it caves in crookedly.

For marriage, that is absolutely necessary. Look at a face — the forehead is small, and the cheeks jut out, made like this! In that case, the forehead must be large, and this side must shrink. It must suddenly narrow, becoming weak on this side, to fill in the other.

If a person with jutting cheeks meets a person with jutting cheeks and they do not yield to one another, plus and minus, they die quickly. That's the formula. They are pleased with each other — “Oh, I love this person; I'll do it even if I die” — but why is it so? The elders say it doesn't match.

Go ahead and say you'd do it, though you die. You die. You get crushed to death. If the woman climbs and the man cannot, she is bound to fall. It is bound to break. You must know that.

Force must enter both hands, and they must do it together. What happens if only this one moves? This one slips out. Because both did this, they added force to each other. Even if you try to pull it out, the force here can make it grow, not one by which it can slip out. Say “the law of natural order!” [Response: “The law of natural order!”] You think of that. Even the eating is different.

When you open your eyes, do you try to look at the far thing first or the near thing first? Answer, everyone! There are people who, opening their eyes, try to look far. People who, opening their eyes, try to look near or who try to look at the middle — these differ. Put two far-lookers together, and the two go far and ask, “Are you the near one, or am I the far one?” Ten years of this and it caves in. It tilts. You must know that. Even when a woman and a man love, the rhythm of their breathing must match the harmony of heaven and earth. You don't think about such things, do you?

Look at Yu Jong Gwan — even living off others, he lives long. Because Yu Jong Gwan's wife is round and full, wherever they go, much rice can come their way. Look — sideways, this is broad. It would go this far and then all spill over below, but here it came down like this. In old age, an environment of luxury rather than ease, or of hardship. They meet, nearly die, and then revive.

Look at the lips — here the skin is like this. Look, is it so? So if you have something, the brothers try to take it. You must give it. Even if you would rather not give it, when they try to take it, you must give it. Having given it, you grow the relish of recovering a little more than was taken from where it was taken — that's all it takes. Even just the thought, I mean. So thought is a fearsome thing.

Just because you all like Father, does Father like all of you?

You must be able to give and receive by natural order. When that time comes, in the pitch-black deep night, a light like a diamond shines. At such a time, even if that person says he dislikes it, I must protect him — someone I know, I mean. Heaven is the same. God remembers, counting on his fingers. And then he must take care of it.

Say “give and receive!” Give-and-receive action [Response: “Give-and-receive” Father has thought much, centered on the term give-and-take action. A person who cannot do give-and-receive action does not last long. A person who does give-and-receive action centered on the spirit world lasts long in giving and lasts long in receiving.

It differs from the human world. If you reckon by units of ten years, the human world reckons by units of one year. They differ.

So, give-and-receive action, centered on the spirit world, works to raise the measure, and the spirit world runs ten times ahead of give-and-receive action done on earth. That is why a person who thinks of heaven develops.

If the Order of Before-and-After Is Reversed, It Is Not Natural Order

Well, going on talking like this, we won't even manage today's Hoon Dok Hae! Now that the first day of the lunar month has come, what did Father announce would be done by the fifteenth? [Response: “The founding of the Parent UN.”]

The one in charge of that is Kwak Chung Hwan. You didn't even know that! Father, who announced it, will think about it more than anyone — or won't he? How will you unravel it?

What must be done in these fifteen days is to draw the Boon Bong Wang into one place. Then preparations must be made to hold the enthronement ceremony of kingship.

Father spoke of two things, didn't he?

What did he say would be done on the fifteenth? [Response: “You said a proclamation rally would be held.”] What proclamation? [Response: “The Abel UN proclamation.”]

The Abel Secretary-General must be proclaimed, and then the enthronement ceremony must be held. As for the Boon Bong Wang of the Parent UN, those who can become kings, together with the sons and daughters of Adam and the sons and daughters of the archangel, must be joined.

The Boon Bong Wang is the rejoining of what was divided, so it does not vanish but is a swelling — an addition. That the Unification Church regards the Boon Bong Wang as important is a great discovery.

Concerning John the Baptist, I unraveled it yesterday—centered on Zechariah, Mary, and who? [Response: “Elizabeth.” They were sisters, but centered on their husbands, they quarreled. Should the younger sister serve the elder, or the elder serve the younger? [Response: “The elder must serve the younger.”] Where the elder sister does not serve the younger, the providence of restoration is not indemnified.

Then, between the Mother and the Father, who is the elder?

Did God make the womb-house first, or the seed of the baby first? [Response: “He made the house first.”] Whee! (He whistles) A dreamlike answer — but it must become fact. Then, when he began to create the human being, supposing God held the seed of the baby, did he intend to make the man, or did he think of the woman first? I don't know. I'm asking.

If it is God's creation, which is to leave behind a world of natural order, should he make the woman with the womb-house first, or the man with the sperm first? If there is no house for the offspring, where do you give birth to the offspring? Will you give birth mid-air? To marry, you need a house! It is the same.

When the order of before-and-after is reversed, all the affairs of the world are not in natural order. The word “contrary order” (yeokri) arises. In contrast, contradiction and conflict arise, so people fight and die. You must shed sorrowful tears.

One Is Free Only When Standing and Sitting Within the Framework of the Four-Position Foundation

To hold the day called Ae Seung Il, you must cross over that place by natural order. When you pass through, say, Heung Jin's Ae Seung Il, the place where you think he is dead is not Ae Seung Il. Even though he has died, father and mother must be able to kiss him as a sleeping baby. While he is dying, it is all right, but when the breath goes out — what? Kiss him just three times and he is cold. Kiss him and he is cold. The measure does not fit.

What is the human temperature? [Response: “36.5 degrees.” It is 36.5 degrees, and at 36, 37, and 38 degrees, just three degrees off, and illness sets in. You must go to the hospital. Six and seven are the horizontal lines. That is why it is 36.5 degrees. At 38 to 39, 40, or 41 degrees, you must be admitted to the hospital. It turns centered on 37 degrees. The line of 37 degrees is the horizontal line.

What is ninety degrees?

It is plus and minus, forty-five degrees and forty-five degrees. So, doing it centered on forty-five degrees, three degrees makes how much? Forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight degrees.

The Unification Church holds youth up to age forty-eight. Then, can you use fifty-one degrees, which can rise above forty-eight degrees, or use forty-five degrees from forty-eight? Going down is easy. Going up is hard—crossing the boundary line, I mean. From forty-eight degrees, one, two, three, and it's forty-nine, fifty, fifty-one degrees.

Then it becomes a new world. It becomes the third dimension. Then fifty-one degrees is higher than fifty, and it is the start of sixty degrees. There are no such concepts. People do not know the method of adjusting the bonded relationship.

Why did the Unification Church set the maximum age of youth at forty-eight?

It is hardest to cross the three from there. Forty-nine, fifty, fifty-one degrees. Fifty degrees is the buffer zone between forty-nine and fifty-one.

The fiftieth ridge is hard, but you cross it. You must cross the fiftieth ridge. When it becomes the fiftieth ridge, the tens place must go from vertical to horizontal. It is a two-digit number. Then fifty-one is a three-digit number. Looking from one point, centered on three places, it is just like this, centered on the thumb. When you put force in like this, do you press with these two, or with these three? [Response: “Three fingers.”]

When standing up, it is hard with two. You topple, but if you brace three firmly—what?

When this becomes the center and braces firmly, even if the whole hand here takes all the force, it does not budge. When you find it difficult to rise, clench a fist, brace, and on the floor, centered on the thumb, make three legs and push. This one is there or not — it doesn't matter. This is the number eight. It takes all the force.

That is why Jesus had three disciples.

When God looks, centered on the root, what are Formation, Growth, and Completion?

Centered on the root, it is the place of Formation, Growth, and Completion. The four are like that. The thumb can support what becomes four. One, two, three, four, plus the thumb makes five fingers, doesn't it?

That is why you are free only when standing and sitting within the framework of the Four-Position Foundation; without the Four-Position Foundation, it caves in crookedly.

So when you do this sideways, the lower focus and I must match the focus. Centered on that, exactly — this too is a Four-Position Foundation: one, two, three, four! The thumb must be far. From this side, you cannot stand up. Even if you stand, your head won't rise.

So Jesus, too, is a Four-Position Foundation. The thumb cannot change. Centered on this, it turns. In whatever direction, it is the same. Even climbing here, this force comes into balance. It is so everywhere. That is why, when both hands do this from the four directions, it is the purpose and the Four-Position Foundation.

When I stand at the center and put force in firmly — whee! — the whole supports it. If a village has only three houses, it is lonely, isn't it? A thief comes, but if it becomes four houses, the thief cannot come. They all know. So we live by natural order. This too is a natural order.

One Must Know How to Align with the Way of Natural Order

Fate (palja) — why is it called palja (“eight characters”)?

The lament over one's fate! “All roads of Rome run eight ways.” It all speaks of this. In Rome, when the eight-way crossing opens, you can come and go as much as you like. That is why a four-lane road and an eight-lane road—how much farther does the eight-lane carry than the four-lane? So when it becomes like this — what? It is not only this. When this very thing becomes like this, centered on the left and right, it is “I” and the standard.

Soccer is the same. When you say “soccer,” you must match this. At what angle do I enter, and centered on the four corners? When the big toe has gone, you must shoot straight. Shoot straight, I mean. When you align the left and right of the goalmouth centered on the angle, it goes straight into the middle of the goal.

This must be far. Made this way, it is closest, yet the farthest thing is a far distance. This is near. That is why you must always know how many meters it is from the goal. When you measure it, if, centered on the opponent over there, the goalpost is exactly in the middle, then if you just align this, it goes unfailingly into the center.

Even when you steer a boat out to sea, you fix your position like that. Far off, you set something like an island at the center, place it in the middle, and if the distance to here is ten ri, you reckon ten ri to over there. It is the middle of twenty ri, but this side is short. This distance is short. So you must know how to align with the way of natural order.

Did you kick high or low? By that angle, it goes far or near. That is the hardest. Kicking along the ground, you can always strike downward toward the ground, but does it go high into the air and clear the goalpost, or not clear it?

It should go below the goalpost, but again and again it goes over. When you shoot, where on the goal does it fall? When you shoot, ten people shoot, and all ten go over the goalpost, not below it.

That you must kick on purpose. You must kick with the leg extended. You must kick centered on the raised part of the foot. Then it goes downward, and kicking from the raised part here, it is bound to rise. You must know how to adjust centered on your foot.

The Honorary Doctorate That Father Gives Is Precious

Shall we finish quickly today?

Today I can come and go as I please — there's land in Jeolla that we intend to buy for four billion, and I haven't been to that land. What do we call the New Year's tour? [Response: “The first inspection tour (chodo sunsi).”] Where shall we go first? Speak. The most important places are Yeosu and Suncheon. Mr. Hwang jerks his head up.

What is the difference between daegari (“noggin”) and meori (“head”)? The meori moves together with the body, but the daegari moves separately from the body.

The body sits still while it does this. That is daegari. The daegari is the egg of that household, I mean. We say “that residence (daek),” don't we? Daegari, the egg of the residence! The one in the house who holds his head high and looks around like this is the egg — the daegari. At such times, we don't call it meori, I mean.

Put that way, it becomes a revelatory phrase, doesn't it? Daegari! It means doing as one pleases. [Response: “Daegari is a truly amusing word.”] Father thinks so. The daegari is what suddenly moves as it pleases above the body. The man sitting third here — what was his name? [Response: “Sudo” Mr. Sudo is appointed honorary doctor by this fellow, who founded the Unification Church, as of today. Do it.

Since I gave one at sea, I should give one on land! He is a man who graduated from a theological seminary in his very late years. The honorary doctorate that Father gives is precious.

Son Dae Oh, did you come?

Korea University gave him a doctorate of literature and a degree, saying they'd make him president going forward — and he threw it all away. “I do not need a doctorate in literature. I will receive the honorary doctorate that Father gives,” he said. That precious it is.

Even if there are several hundred universities, among those universities, the model doctorate is the honorary doctorate that the Father gives. It means he labored greatly. And then — who is the man beside him? No, the broad-faced man behind, beside him! [Response: “The man with the receding hairline.”] [Response: “What's his name?”] [Response: “A hundred-twenty came from Japan.”]

If I give honorary doctorates to many Japanese, the Japanese Ministry of Education will say that the Unification Church's President Moon has gone mad. And what of the Korean Ministry of Education?

Some time ago, I gave honorary doctorates to nine sons and daughters all at once, and the Ministry of Education couldn't open its mouth. If it had opened its mouth, I'd have pressed in. “You bring me such people,” I mean. Look — they're all splendid! In whichever nation, they can teach the top of the nation. It is greater than an honorary doctorate or an honorary presidency. There are not many honorary doctors or honorary presidents. It is given to one who has researched a special development in their field of expertise in history.

Whatever! Digging into me, what of it? Having developed, I must vanish. If I develop and vanish, then God appears, I mean. “Whatever” is like that. The character for “nation” (國) takes the four sides (囗) and inserts the character “or/perhaps” (或) any old way — was it inserted following tradition? That is what I thought. “Why was the character 'or' (或) inserted there? There's no master!” — I said so from childhood.

So I asked my great-granduncle, “Grandfather, would you put the character 'or' (或) in the middle of 'nation'?” “Well, what do you think?” “You should put a king. And which is better than a king — the character for 'jade' (玉) — should you use 'king' (王) or 'jade' (玉)?” When I asked, my grandfather said, “Not the king, but jade.” Why? A king can change, but jade does not change for a thousand or ten thousand years. Otherwise, it doesn't fit.

Father Has a Genius Mind for Design and Layout

Look at the “Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Anshik Gweon” that Father wrote — does it fit, or not?

It fits above, and it fits below. When you look, the characters have gone crinkled, but in matching the spacing, it was all carefully matched, wasn't it? It is not “Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Anshik Gweon.”

If you insert “peace” — “Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Pyeonghwa Anshik Gweon” — there is nothing better. I knew and yet did not write it. Why? It was July 7, 1997. I had not yet risen to the number nine. I had not even risen to number eight.

So, written this way, it is one line; written this way, it is one line, and written this way, it fits. Look. Though written this way, even standing upright, the realm of the Sabbath opens. There must be a horizontal standard!

Rising, the realm of the Sabbath enters there. Isn't that so — at the very top, I mean. Then it fits. It is “Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheonju Anshik Gweon,” which can extend the vertical-and-horizontal ninety-degree angle.

That was July 7, 1997 — the Seventh-Month Seventh-Day Festival (Chilseok). Do you know the old legend that the Herdsman (Gyeonu) and the Weaver Maid (Jingnyeo) meet in tears once a year on Chilseok at the Bridge of Magpies?

At the Bridge of Magpies, they meet once a year. [Response: “Long ago, Dr. Baek Cheol, seeing Father's calligraphy, said that Father's writing did not learn the style of any particular person within set forms, but is free while achieving the harmony of the whole.”]

As to that, Father has a genius mind. Looking from afar, "That one mustn't go there; it must come this way,” I mean. When I draw a picture alone, if I lay it out on a scrap of paper and look, the proportion fits. In that sense, what one sees is certain! The focus matches exactly!

Whenever I enter a room — “Oh dear, did they set that there like that? Why did they set that there like that?” — and I set it right, clack, clack, clack. In design and layout, I have a genius mind. Mr. Eom is afraid of me, isn't he? [Response: “Yes.”]

The Ceremony of Enthronement as King of Kings, as the King of the Parent UN

Do you know how many things must be done by the fifteenth?

Convening the Boon Bong Wang, convening those who can become presidents, then convening the True Parents, convening God. In the Old Testament Age, the convening of Adam; in the New Testament Age, the convening of Jesus; in the Completed Testament Age, the convening of President Moon; and in the settlement era of the Completed Testament, God must be summoned. Unless I summon him and set the place, the place is not set.

How many things is it?

They must be matched up all at once — snap, snap, snap — but who takes responsibility? Can Korea's Yang Chang Shik do it? Speak. [Response: “He cannot.”] If he can't, what then? Will you throw it away? Must it be done, or not? [Response: “It must be done.”] But if he can't do it, will you throw it away? I'm asking. [Response: “We must receive Father's teaching.”]

I announced the day, but did not explain the content. In principle, you explain the content and then announce it. Isn't that so? At that time, it is the hour when I, attending God, ascend the throne together. The ceremony of the Father's era of kingship before was Father ascending the throne.

This time it is God ascending the throne — and how shall that ceremony be done? At that time, Father held the banquet in a new modern style. The couple held the wedding in modern style.

This time, Father, standing in the place on behalf of the Boon Bong Wang, must teach all the rites, set up even God's ceremonial robes and crown, and perform a fitting enthronement ceremony.

This is ascending as King of Kings, as the King of the Parent UN. What is different about the ceremony? It is simple. Where was the old one held? Was it here? [Response: “At the Cheon Ju Cheong Pyeong Training Center.”] Everything from when we did it then is all here, isn't it? [Response: “Yes.”]

Even now, even this morning — it just takes a little time — if Father says to prepare, can it be prepared or not? I'm asking. [Response: “The implements, chairs, and such that were used then exist, but the stage setup and the like were all dismantled.”] The implements are all here.

We can make the implements too, can't we? [Response: “The stage can be made, but the crown and the dragon robe take time.”] The crown can be done by adjusting the high and low, the wide and narrow. The robe God wears and the robe the True Parents wear are the same. Are there two heads, or is it made inside and out? It's no problem, is it? Add one taller piece there, attach a wide piece divided into Cain and Abel, and below attach the jewels the members like — and it's done. Simple, no?

The robes too — that time I wore them…. I will do it in the Korean wedding style centered on God's robe, and Hyung Jin will do it in the old style I wore before — then the order fits, no?

That is why Hyung Jin will be in modern Western dress. Put a Western suit on him with diamonds and a few jewels, and Hyung Jin, too, is a handsome man. A good-looking man, I mean. His wife, too, though slender, has a beautiful figure. Once dressed up, it's finer than the robes worn eight years ago! Whee! (he whistles)

At that time, the Father is in Korean style.

Isn't Korea the subject?

The son is in Western style. With the garments differing inside and out, where there were two seams, there are now three seams.

If the colors differ, if the five colors differ, it becomes an entirely different garment. Since we make a different system, there is nothing to worry about. Now, because there is no time, I am teaching it. I teach in place of the time we could spend in a meeting.

Kwak Chung Hwan! [Response: “Yes.”] All have joined the Abel UN — all 194 nations? [Response: “Yes, but inviting them is, realistically, too much….”] Sitting down with the telephone, you can do it on the spot! Within five minutes, you call one person at a time, and it's done — what's there to worry about? At the fastest speed, instantly, it must be done.

We Must Seek the Royal Seat of Peace Centered on the Five-Power Separation System

President Obama's inauguration is January 20. Must it be finished before that or done after? Answer! [Response: “It must be finished before.”] January 6 is the ninetieth birthday; how many days off is the first day of the lunar month?

[Response: “The first of the lunar month is January 26 on the solar calendar.”] So if it's the fifteenth, how does that work? How many days ahead? How many days off from Father's birthday? [Response: “Sixteen days off.”]

You must pass the fifteenth. How many days off from the twentieth? [Response: “If it's the twentieth, it's eleven days off, since the thirty-first is the birthday.”] It is eleven days. Within that number, you must play the game of whether the important people are cut off or appointed. [Response: “

At first, you said you would gather everyone on Christmas Day and hold the enthronement ceremony.” Then Obama's presidential inauguration comes first. Must it be done after the presidential inauguration is finished, or before? Isn't January 20 that day? [Response: “Yes.”]

It is five days off. The boundary line between left and right is needed, I mean. It falls exactly in the middle, doesn't it? Five days off! Five days before, the Parent UN comes out, even down to the direction of policy — what?

Until now, it was the three-power separation system, but from now on, we must seek the royal seat of peace centered on the five-power separation system. At that time, “peace” must be used. There is no peace in America.

Kwak Chung Hwan! Response: “Yes.” You must do the Boon Bong Wang responsibility, and the UN Secretary-General responsibility too; you and Hwang Sun Jo, the three of you, have the responsibility to help with what I do. Joo Dong Moon, did you come? Response: “Yes.” With Joo Dong Moon, the four of you must take responsibility for this rally. These facts are all—what?

I told Joo Dong Moon beforehand that I must do it. Since I couldn't do it, where must Father go? Must he go saying he's done it, or set up a condition and go over, or just go over? Answer! [Response: “You must set it up and go over.”] Even if unwilling, you must set it up and go over.

Who are the people who can become Boon Bong Wang?

In Korea, Lee Cheol Seung; in Japan, Nakasone; then in America, George Bush; in South America, Sanguinetti; in Britain, the Queen. Centered on the Queen of Britain, against her, you must draw out the Japanese emperor with Japan, Germany, and Italy, and then the German chancellor. The German chancellor is a woman, isn't she? [Response: “Yes.”] Interesting, too, that the president of Harvard University became a woman, no? Response: “Yes.” Just mobilize the whole gaggle of women, and they can be brought. There's no problem at all.

When those people come, on the other side—who?

Who is the current president's brother? In boxing, is it called jab or jeb? [Response: “Jab.”] George Bush's son is Jeb. Without making North and South America one, America has no place to stand. Everything is prepared, but having driven out the American president, now, like an orphaned duck egg on the Nakdong River, anyone who comes can eat him up. Do you know that? That is why I said to bring the women. Put the women forward. We are involved with the State Department, the Defense Department, and even the military. The presidents withdraw, but Father has placed all the township heads of the nation.

A Household That Lives Without Need of Law

The authority of the Boon Bong Wang is tremendous. The archangel cannot be seized and killed, can he? Is he to be seized and killed? That is only until the Adam-king is set up. When a king is set up in place during the divided period that they caused through the Fall, the Boon Bong Wang system ends.

This time, the one becoming king organizes the Boon Bong Wang centered on a Boon Bong Wang club, an organization that can move the Boon Bong Wang. Among those of great merit there, by their recommendation—what?

Only by receiving their recommendation can one be drawn for a National Assembly seat or such. Without receiving the recommendation, one cannot stand in a position to be appointed to the Assembly. It is strict. One cannot tamper carelessly with the state system, I mean.

If, centered on the embassies, I use them as the world representatives of the Boon Bong Wang—though I haven't said it, if I use them that way, in place of Kwak Chung Hwan, there can be a Boon Bong Wang of the diplomatic route. The Boon Bong Wang of the ambassadors. That isn't needed. The ambassadors need not be appointed, I mean. It will come later.

This being so, from now on, after today, centered on the True Parents' royal seat, in filling and patching up every lacking place where the system can be equipped—can there be any obstacle? Is the explanation that there can be no reasonable, plausible, or unreasonable? Answer! [Response: “It is reasonable.”] The method of resolving it is reasonable. It cannot be unreasonable. In the future, it will be plausible. The future is decided.

Then the Abel UN Secretary-General can summon and convene the Cain and Abel under the Secretary-General of the Cain world and put them to use.

If they don't do it, you cut off their necks. Through the foreign minister, you can bring and use those who served as a nation's foreign minister, following the law by which they become the chairman of the Boon Bong Wang. That is why there is no place, above or below, that can be lacking.

When an exam is given, who grades it?

For the Korean people, Hwang Sun Jo must do it. Hwang Sun Jo and Yu Jeong Ok must do it. Not Kwak Chung Hwan, and not Yang Chang Shik. The times have changed. So this time, who is the Boon Bong Wang who can become Korea's king? It is Mr. Soseok and Dr. Hong Il Shik who served as presidents of Korea University. Understand?

Centered on Son Dae Oh, it is Yang Chang Shik, whose hometown is Hampyeong. Centered on Korea University, Son Dae Oh and Yang Chang Shik, and then Mr. Soseok and Dr. Hong Il Shik. Had Son Dae Oh not joined the Unification Church, he is a man who would have become president in place of Korea University's Dr. Hong Il Shik. Do you know that?

And so Son Dae Oh and Yang Chang Shik, up to now… . And then, in bringing forward Grandfather Yun Guk, Hwang Sun Jo did it. Did he, or not? [Response: “He did.”]

Did he conclude it well?

The latter part, the third volume, must still come out, no? [Response: “It will come out.”] It will? Response: “Yes. We are preparing for it to come out.” When it becomes known that Grandfather Yun Guk founded the Osan School, our clan is lifted high.

Representing the households of the Korean nation, it appears as the household of the head king, I mean. So our grandfather's name is Chi Guk, the next brother is Shin Guk, and the next brother is Yun Guk. They all use the character Guk (“nation”). Centered on the eldest son of Chi Guk, the second son is me. Through my elder brother, I knew what I would do. I knew without receiving revelation. He regarded my words above any ancestor.

If I said to sell the house for tuition, he'd sell it. If I said to sell even the ancestral ritual fields and help me, he'd do it. That kind of elder brother.

And my father, too, did whatever his two sons told him. With such a household, you live without the need for law. The one who disliked this was my mother, of the Yeonan Kim line, the lineage of the Gyeongju Kim, who were Silla royalty.

My maternal uncle and my maternal grandfather, as it turned out, were of the direct line of royal descendants. In honoring the clan's ancestors, what is the place called, in terms of a nation? [Response: “The royal ancestral shrine (Jongmyo).”] The house where a royal family honors its ancestors is called the Jongmyo. There was a place like a Jongmyo, and the robes worn when they served and held the minister's office filled a whole room.

Why so many? I asked. When I asked who wore them, it was my maternal grandfather's brothers. When the last generation was being cut off, the two brothers who actually wore those robes came, and they are still alive. Whee! (He whistles) Their daughter married into the Moon family.

As a daughter of royal descendants who ate the stipend of the Silla nation, she came to marriage with two handmaids. She was the eldest daughter of the second household. From her, four younger siblings come forth. Ah—our household, too, is set up exactly like that.

A Grandfather Who Held Influence in the World of Confucian Tradition

Had Silla not unified, Goguryeo would have unified. This was by colluding with the Tang to sweep away Baekje…. How much they fought. From Jumong's wars to the war of Goryeo and Joseon.

The loyal subjects of Goryeo died. From Goryeo, Yi Taejo carried out a revolution and entered the age of Confucian politics. Confucianism is the whole scholarship of China, educated under a religious signboard. It is the way of Confucius and Mencius.

The way of Confucius and Mencius, centuries later, inherits the way and keeps it. Confucian thought is set up that way, isn't it?

The one who knew all of Chinese history — who knew it better than the Chinese — was our Grandfather Yun Guk. With a fine mind, there was no book among books he hadn't read, and nothing he wished to copy that he hadn't copied. Yet the Confucian book of rites, the Book of Rites (Yegi), he meant to copy but could not. A friend of his had the Book of Rites. He wrote me a letter: “Go and give him this letter!” The Book of Rites is three volumes.

He asked me to bring them. “Why do you tell me to bring them?” “Don't you write better than I?” he said. Grandfather Yun Guk said, “You write better than I; even writing with your mouth, you write better than I, and even writing with your foot, you write better than I, don't you?”

So I wrote with my mouth, and I wrote elegantly. When grown men wouldn't listen, he said, “You who can't even keep up with mouthwriting, will you learn to write with the foot?”

The command of Grandfather Yun Guk, like a head schoolmaster, was like an absolute command—such a grandfather, holding influence in the world of Confucian tradition. “Though Mount Tai is high, it is a hill under heaven,” it says—and that is China's Mount Tai. Centered on India's Himalaya, what lies to the north is Mount Tai.

Mount Tai is lower than the Himalayas, yet they said, “Though Mount Tai is high, it is a hill under heaven.” They treat it as higher than the Himalayas. Since China stands as the elder brother, larger than India, the mountains in China are said to be higher than the Himalayas. Since they said, “Though Mount Tai is high, it is a hill under heaven,” then, however high the Himalaya is at 8,850 meters, it must bow before Mount Tai and follow China's law.

As for Osan (“Five Mountains”) — linking the Himalaya, then Mount Tai, and Samgak Mountain, you take “Five Mountains.” Samgak Mountain stands centered on the Taebaek Range, no? Ah, that there is such a lineage, I learned through our grandfather. This is a secret. Whee! (he whistles)

Ah, that's right, I mean. Osan is the Himalaya, Mount Tai. And so it connects to Mount Baekdu. Mount Baekdu is the third. Himalaya, Mount Tai, Mount Baekdu — and even China's ancestor mountain seems lower than Mount Baekdu, don't they? It means the head is white.

Why is it called Mount Baekdu (“White-Head Mountain”)? There is the Heaven Lake (Cheonji) of Mount Baekdu. Mount Tai has no Heaven Lake. Does the Himalaya have a Heaven Lake? Response: “No.” Response: “Isn't it the Himalaya but the Kunlun Mountains?” The Kunlun Mountains are called Mount Tai. It is a mountain in China.

So it is the Himalaya, Mount Tai, Mount Baekdu, and Samgak Mountain. Centered on the Baekdu Range, it is Samgak Mountain. Connecting Mount Baekdu — Kunlun, Himalaya. There it is special. It is bedrock. It is granite. Hard granite.

When you look at the Heaven Lake of Mount Baekdu, it is surrounded by granite, and the water springs up, piercing through the granite. If it were sedimentary rock, you could say it was pierced by water, but how did this come to be? I mean?

The Black Current and the Shark

Centered on the central plain of heaven and earth, the eastern nations are a stone wall. From the border with the Soviets at Hailar, what is piled up stretching eastward is made of cliffs.

What is that?

Even up to the Heaven Lake of Mount Baekdu, it is made of cliffs. The Taebaek Range, too, resembles that wall. So, centered on the Baekdu Range, from the Samgak Range, the southern sea of Korea is formed, and the east is a precipice.

Then, in receiving the waves of the Pacific, does China receive them first, or do Korea's North and South Hamgyeong provinces receive them first? From Wonsan, from Gangwon Province, Busan is the second defense line. Centered on the waves of the Pacific, there is the black current.

Do you know what the black currant is?

[Response: “The Kuroshio” What is the Kuroshio? What is the Black Current? It is the water that flows at the very marrow of the Pacific, and since it cannot see sunlight, it became the black current (黑潮). I have to explain to you what the black currant is.

A Japanese person researched the black current and wrote a book, The Course of the Shark — that sharks ride it and play the role of overlord, I mean. Even the whale has to flee, I mean. And in it — what? — There is a fish with horns.

What is that fish called?

Among the shark kinds, there is a shark with eyes like this, shaped like this. [Response: “The hammerhead shark.”] The hammerhead shark!

Oh my, I caught one and was astonished. The fish was shaped like this, with the eyes way over on the sides. The mouth is below, and the nose is up high. So marvelous that I caught it and spent the whole day gazing at it and turning it over. I split its belly to see whether the innards and all were the same as a shark's or not.

When I caught a fish, I was an expert at splitting the belly! Looking at the entrails and everything, everything was there as in others, but the eyeballs and the head were like this. The mouth and nose are there so it can look in all four directions. A shark's nose is pointed, but with the nose here, it is narrow. This one would be convenient, I mean.

Smaller than the hammerhead, a middle-sized fish that people catch with a hook—what is it called? [Response: “Marlin.”] The marlin is not as long as the shark. It's shaped like this; this is one span longer.

What is it called?

Among the sharks, the tastiest one to eat is that fish. When anglers catch it, they hold a feast, and they make jerky from that fish. They call it jerky. Even beef, when dried, is called jerky. They make jerky and carry it and eat it, and it gives them endurance.

Since it has more endurance than any other fish, seafarers dry it and use it when food runs short.

There is such a fish that they make into jerky and pile up and carry around. [Response: “Isn't it the dogfish?”] The dogfish is small! This is big. [Response: “The mako shark.”] Whether it's the mako shark, I don't know. There's one with a long, long nose. A thing like a whale goes along and goes, “fooh,” I mean. Fleeing, even when the whale goes deep, since it breathes, it has no choice but to come out and go “fooh.” Chased along, choking for breath, it goes, "Sheesh.” That is called spouting.

It appears in The Course of the Shark, the book the Japanese wrote—gored by that fish, fleeing, trying to breathe, it suddenly comes out and breathes, so it goes “shoosh.” That is how famous it is. That fish appears in The Course of the Shark. The mako shark, you say? Response: “Yes.” You catch it by angling. To catch it, you set out from Gloucester, Boston, and go to the border region of Canada. Go there, and you catch it.

A Naturally Round Black Pearl Has No Fixed Price

Talking of the sea, we'll go off on a tangent! Ordinary people do not know the word “black currant.” When I was a child, I knew it and thought, “Ah, I must go.” In the Pacific, where the black current flows, centered on the Philippines, from the deepest place, at a near distance heading toward Taiwan, there is an island called Mokyodo. Mokyodo appears in that book.

There is an island, and on that island, black pearls are caught. From the surface, the depth is 120 meters. Exactly 120 meters' distance. Within the black-current realm, centered on Mokyodo, there is a world market that sells black pearls.

So who knows of it but the descendants of royal households? Not just anyone can dig up black pearls. Since it is like a treasure-house, the sons and daughters of royal descent, of special honor in the nation, are the ones who dig them.

To go there, how many hours does it take to reach 120 meters?

Three hours going in, three hours coming out — six hours — but there are only forty minutes of working time. In forty minutes, you must dig the black pearls. How costly would a black pearl be, dug at the cost of seven hours? Whatever is asked is the price.

The oyster of the black pearl is large. Inside it, the fruit forms, and among them, the naturally round black pearl has no fixed price. You cannot buy it without paying whatever price the digger sets. Ah — “I must go dig black pearls,” I mean. Holding such a dream, I read The Course of the Shark. There is the black current, and the ice-mountain floating above the black current—what is it called? [Response: “An iceberg.”]

The ice-mountain travels centered on the deep sea, and from the sea, the ice mountain appears like this. You don't know how the underside of the ice mountain is made. Beneath it are all manner of things. It's craggy, isn't it? According to that depth, there are all manner of fish. There is an iceberg reaching down to 120 meters, the distance one goes to dig pearls, and there are all manner of fish there.

Fishermen can always dig black pearls. To about 15, 20, 30, or 50 meters, seafarers can enter, can't they?

Even entering, what happens if you enter suddenly?

Seafarers, too, must match the timing of entering. Even if it doesn't take three hours, once you've gone in and come out, you must time it exactly and come out, or you get the bends. Ah—so how complicated would the rigged-up gear be? Speaking of its weight, they say it can be up to seven times an ordinary person's weight.

Buying such a diving suit, I meant to dig for black pearls. I swim well, and I'm good at diving! “Ah, I'll dig pearls first-rate and become rich. Selling even to the Japanese, I'll take one-third of Japan's wealth” — such a thought I had.

This—even entering 15, 30 meters—you can't go beyond that. You need at least a suit. Seafarers, whether they hang air-tanks or whatever, make a makeshift arrangement and can go in more than double. What do you do when, among the seafarers, someone won't obey? To catch the deep-sea fish, since they're big! Mid-sized boats and bigger, I mean. A mid-sized boat goes over 50, 60, or 100 meters. You ride a boat of about 120 meters and play that game.

Then how many people ride such a boat? Forty, fifty. The boat I know that floats in the Kodiak Sea is 108 meters long. I'm a fellow who built such vessels and went whaling, so I know it well! So how many crew ride such a boat — from 48 to 62.

Among those who ride, a shiroto (an inexperienced, unskilled person) can slip in the wind and fall and die, and when someone slacks off at work, someone passing alongside can kick him in the left foot, and he falls and is gone. Within thirty minutes, the water rises, so the blood vessels block and he dies. If he drifts off, he becomes fish food!

Many die that way. When one disappears, you don't understand why they disappeared. Slacking off and becoming an enemy, that's how it happens. They fish! Fishing in the deep, when two are sitting, if just the two are thinking of it, the two go along, and one kicks him in. Going ahead and behind, swinging to the side, one fellow kicks him in with the foot, and he's gone. That is how fearsome it is. Ride a boat, and a third can die that way.

The Dream of Becoming the King Who Harvests Pearls in the World of the Black Current

So what happens if you go in and are buried there?

It's the black currant. However many thousands of years, you can't find even the bones, the hide, or the hair. That kind of black currant it is. Because I had such an interest in my boyhood, I said I'd go to the black currant. In the village, when we dug ponds, we dug beside the rice paddies in the valley, but, centered on the plain, we dug a valley pond three or four times larger than an ordinary pond. Over 100 meters. Over 100 meters, so I could always do things like training swimmers.

I'd call the young men in the neighboring villages within 10 or 20 ri and always hold a prize contest. I gave the prizes! How many meters ahead? First and second place, and I'd give prizes. Doing such things, I'd swim too. I held the record for diving and going far. And since I'd swim without rest and go far, I was the champion there!

So I lived dreaming that, even if forty nations came into the world of the black current, I'd become the captain and become the king who harvests pearls in the world of the black current.

So would that life be comfortable?

The black currant is pitch-black. It's like the color of ink. Go in 30, 50 meters and it becomes ink-colored. In that world where the ink color shows, there are dolphins. To hide, what does the dolphin do? The dolphin is small but fast. It goes in and hides among the stones.

Go 50, 60 meters and there are many stones! It goes into the hollowed-out places, I mean. That's why it's the dolgorae (“stone-whale,” dolphin). What lives hiding in stone hollows is the dolphin. The dolphin goes where all at once, down to where the ink color shines. People can't go in, but those creatures rise and dive as they please. So when a person goes, they follow the boat and compete. “Let's see — the white-colored fellow went ahead, but does he turn back and come?” After a while, you see them competing among themselves.

The white fellow had gone about seventh from behind, but coming back around, he became second, even third. By the color you tell first, second, third. Ah — they compete and exercise. What is it? They've borne young, and in crossing the great ocean, they train them. They don't rest.

Once they start following, they follow 10, 20, 30, 40, up to 50 ri. They follow up on their own turning point and then go back. Knowing such things from a book too, Father is rich in knowledge about it. So those who do deep-sea fishing must receive my permission, I mean.

Las Vegas Is Like the Secret Sand Palace of a Pirate Band

The Venetian Hotel is like an English pirate village. Pirates travel by the black current, and the sand islands are the pirate band's treasure islands. They hide treasure in the sand, digging by hand even to 1.8 meters. No staff is needed. Sand, when you dig, digs out.

So once you bury it, when the wind blows on the sand island, the sand island that was shaped like this — what happens?

When a person makes furrows in the sand and draws a line straight across, centered on this line, the sand blows away and, where it begins to mound, becomes a ridge. Wherever it is, it's buried in the ridge.

Knowing that, you go to the pirate band's treasure island—what did they hide? If you say where ten of the ten things on Treasure Island are, and they fetch the treasure, you load it and say, “Let's go again.”

The place where you can do that is the Venetian Hotel. I slept in the secret sand palace of the English pirate band and came back. When you go to Las Vegas, it's just like the sand islands setting out from the Venetian Hotel.

From there, they made the new central road of the city of Las Vegas, and in the New York-New York Hotel, they put all the famous things of New York. So that became the main strip of Las Vegas. There, centered on slot machines, they gamble. Gangs who'd suddenly become millionaires carry on like that.

That is the pirate band's slot machine. Las Vegas is just like a place where the pirate captains make their money. There they stake even ten million dollars and all that. There's a secret place I saw. There, if you just pay money, they bring the first-rate master singer from any nation, that master, I mean. Some people set the price and take orders. Whee! (He whistles.) Among the pirates, the captain-class does that.

At which premier's term did the Soviet Union fall? Khrushchev stirred things up and narrowed it down—in Soviet terms, he purged them. “Throw out Stalin and all the rest.” He banged the UN table with his shoe, I mean. Do you know which number that was? Research it. Otsuka [Response: “Yes—the Soviet Union fell at the eighth term.”] That's his count! [Response: “In 1967, Father said the Soviet Union would fall in the eighth term.”] So it goes from the eighth to the tenth term. It goes to the twelfth term. It is coming all the way to now.

That is why Father, holding the Seventh-and-Eighth Feast, centered on eight, must finish in five rounds up to twelve. Eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve — it ends at twelve in five rounds. It cannot go past the twelfth term. Then they play the game of fighting and killing down to the third generation of grandsons, I mean. Whether that fits or not — would you be curious or not?

That is why Father hung up the title “Seventh-Eighth Jubilee, Era of Great Peace, Eternal Ages” (Chilpal Huinyeon Taepyeong Seongdae Eokmanse). Since one couldn't get past eight, one crossed over at seven — a bridge having been laid. Eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve! Communism, the doctrine of absolute kingly authority, ends with the left hand alone; there is no bridge to the right hand. They thresh and flail among themselves and vanish, I mean.

Joo Dong Moon! Response: “Yes.” Don't be afraid. Some time ago, you came before Father and said, “I am searching for what the new religious order will become,” didn't you? Response: “Yes.” What does that mean? Didn't you forget all that President Moon said and think your thoughts? [Response: “It's not that.”] “Look at that fellow!” I said. “He's forgotten all that Father said and is saying such a thing. He came having done nothing!” The moment I heard that, I settled it this way.

Father is quick-witted. Now, even if you do not keep it, I have kept it and have done it, and since I cannot fail to leave behind the record of history, the ideal President Moon advocates and the will of Heaven end by the one-way road of victory alone. Utterly, it can be concluded.

A King Must Give Birth, Raise, and Protect

(Shin Joon Nim comes out.) He's come to fetch me. What time is it? Right on the mark! It's nine o'clock. It's past eight, I mean. Past seven, at 8:40—twenty minutes more and even the Mother, three generations, will appear to fetch me. As seven, eight, nine come around, it's the end. They've come to fetch me like the angel of death. In taking one away, they don't just snatch you up.

What is a child's gift?

It's candy. We hand out sweets. This one understands all the words too, so he smiles and does this. I can't smile—because I'm being taken away. Here, hand out Dad's and Mom's share too before you go!

Once the candy's eaten, what next?

Being between the two meals of breakfast and lunch, since the belly that can eat breakfast and lunch is empty, just as you eat sweets centered on the sweet taste, if you eat breakfast and lunch rice too, then eat! At 9:30, ten o'clock, it becomes lunchtime, no? Eat at eight, and it's ten, eleven, twelve. Eat from seven, and it's seven, eight, nine — past 9:40, you cross the boundary, no?

So eat it sweetly, as if eating sweets. By ten o'clock, I'll have rice made so you can eat breakfast and lunch till your belly bursts. That generous it was, the royal palace. Understand?

The character “king” (王) means feeding and sustaining three. Feeding and sustaining God, feeding and sustaining the Lord of the Second Advent, and feeding and sustaining the people. Only one who feeds and sustains three becomes king. A king must give birth, must raise, and must protect.

He must give birth to three generations, must raise them, and then must perform the enthronement ceremony. He bequeaths what belongs to God and then what belongs to the ancestors. Two future nations. Centered on grandsons and sons and daughters, it is a form of two — Cain and Abel.

So, in the eyes too, it is three stages. Look at the ears too — here there are three stages. Counting from here, it is one, two, three, four, five ridges. These are five ridges. It hangs on the five ridges.

Looking at such a thing, there are three stages. Look at the eye, and how many stages is it made of? One fold, two folds. With the eyebrow, three folds. It is made of three folds. One fold, two folds, three folds. The middle is hollow. It's the lattice and the eyebrow. The eyebrow blocks it. This completely protects it. So that even when rain comes, it can't get in, and so that even when sweat flows, it can't get in. It does all this and blocks it.

Below this skin goes downward, and the top is swept and covered. From here, it flows into the channel. From here, doing this, it rises. This rises upward, and the below spreads like this. From here, it splits into two and goes this way and becomes this, and some of it covers and stays just so. A person made like this rises in the world. He has political skill, I mean.

The Era of Running Like a Locomotive, with a Tail Attached, Making Noise, Has Passed

Now, should I take a plane and go to Yeosu and Suncheon, or seek out the thirty-eighth parallel? [Response: “Yeosu and Suncheon.”] Going to the maritime world, it's the place where one can buy boats — Geomundo and the land of Yeosu.

Without boats, it won't do. Two hundred must become four hundred and then seven hundred, but it's a worry, I mean. So I paid out four billion as well.

Then there is Admiral Yi Sun-sin's ferry line, the ferry port. Taking over all of it—three companies' worth, or five companies' worth—comes to sixty billion. They say fifteen hundred million would do, but these days it's over 5.5 billion, even sixty billion, not 5.5 — whatever's asked is the price. Even at a loss, I said to contract quickly, and I prepared the money in advance.

It does not carry over into this year. Within the Jubilee, the Seventh-Eighth Feast, it was paid out. Already, all paid. Hyo Yul! Was it paid, or is the payment handled separately? [Response: “It's as good as paid.”] As good as paid, I mean. Thereafter, we must not go into debt. Up to 2012, when we hold the Maritime Expo, we must finish exactly by then. We're starting to build a 72-story condominium, and I must go see that too. I must go see it.

What do we call the New Year's circuit? [Response: “The first inspection tour.”] The first inspection tour!

Where do we go first?

Originally, I should make one circuit of the palace today, and since this is a mountain, even without crossing the Hongcheon River, I'd wave my hand and call it crossed, and go take the plane. Shall I call a helicopter, or what would be good? Hyo Yul! Response: “Yes.” Consult Joo Dong Moon and quickly buy the tickets.

Going forward, as far as possible—what? The era when Father runs roaring like a locomotive with a tail attached has passed. Now the work is all finished, and there's no hurry. It's a gentle stroll. Strolling gently, going to the back, I should just gather the well-ripened chestnuts that have fallen on their own—the era of beating them down with a pole has passed.

The fallen chestnuts, the fallen acorns of the oak grove — gathering them, overseeing what the wild beasts gather and eat — that time has come. If they run short, I'll lay out even chestnuts. In winter, I'll make the area near the nests warm—make pens. We've entered an era when such a thing can be done. The time has come to settle into such a pastime. Know it so, and prepare it. Understand?

Let's just take a passenger plane! There's a 400-person boat to Geomundo, but never mind that — even riding our boat, the one we used for hairtail fishing, will do. Prepare it quickly, since we're heading out now. (Bowing)

Everyone wants to follow along, and it'd be nice to take you all, but since it's the New Year's circuit, if I take too many and show up suddenly, they might not even serve lunch and all that. That would be discourteous of me, so know that I can't take anyone but those who've been arranged for and receive it all with a heart of generosity and forgiveness. Understand? (applause)
