Offer Devotion and Repent

Hearing the word is easy, but speaking the word is hard. Before speaking, one gathers together all that can be spoken and draws a conclusion — and if that conclusion is a conclusion for oneself, there is no fruit of love.

One must live for something greater. More than for myself, for my wife; more than for my wife, for my children; more than for my children, for the family; more than for the family, for the nation; more than for the nation, for the universe. Only then are the orderly stages of the process arranged in proper order along a single path. It will not do to come and go as you please.

A life in which dying must be better than living

What is the saying that “the human heart changes morning and evening, while the colors of the mountains are the same in ancient times and now”? All such sayings are amusing. Let us leave it. Continued, this looks like that, and that looks like this. What do we call the fruit from which noodles are made?

When the white thing ripens in autumn, this shape looks like that shape, and that shape looks like this shape — it is triangular.

So when it is placed on the ground, the apex of the triangle is set up, and the broad side is set as the base. Everything is so ordered.

So it is with people. When you consider that the model of love cannot differ, whether a thousand or ten thousand years ago, there is no other path to walk. The communists today think of creating a world of change, but centered on what do they create such a world?

Do they do it with force?

Can one wield the power of a nation as one pleases?

There must be an inyeon between the nation and oneself, but to boast of power without any inyeon — all that is in vain. It does not last more than a few days.

When a person sets out and returns, which should be better: the figure at departure or the figure at the return?

You must think about this. Everyone wishes that the figure at the return be better, but to wish so without having added any merit is to be a thief. Being struck upon seeing the return becomes the very condition by which one's own foundation is diminished.

So returning must be better than going. From this, the saying holds that dying must be better than living. Thinking such things and comparing east, west, south, north, front, back, left, and right, one walks the path on which one can be well — and if it is a path one can walk eternally, one must walk it eternally. Those who live thus do not go to a bad place.

From such a comprehensive viewpoint, one must go and come to where one can be well. So, you eat and sleep, do you not? If you have eaten badly, you cannot sleep.

If diarrhea comes, or illness comes, what becomes of it?

One eats and sleeps; one goes and comes. How many incidents are there of going and not being able to return? When a friend opposes or an enemy waits and blocks my path, even the going and coming becomes an issue.

What's next? Good and bad—centered on whom is it good or bad?

Centered on me? Whoever says, “Always I alone shall be well,” is a thief. Not knowing how to make others well, always making oneself alone well — that is what a thief is. You must think about this always.

Even the moon halo is needed

What about True Father? Does True Father do only good?

He has also done poorly. Even though I am good at sports and all that, when it comes to resting and sleeping, I cannot match you. I always sleep late and wake early. Continuing in this way, in the end, I cannot sleep even one hour and twenty minutes, or one and a half.

After sleeping one hour and twenty minutes, as I turn over, if something arises, then “Aha, it is time to wake!” — and I open my eyes. If I have slept one hour and twenty minutes, to fill the one and a half hours, I can briefly close my eyes and sleep. Otherwise, if I cannot sleep with my eyes closed, it ends at one hour and twenty minutes.

So, there is what is called the moon halo. Do you know the firefly? In the darkness, the insect flashes its light on and off. The firefly, too, has a halo. Why? Because when the firefly grows bright, the insects following the firefly come close, and seeing it doubled, they are startled and fall away. Do not collide with the central body — if there is something to be gotten at the edge, get it and fall away.

When the insects that have followed the firefly collide with its central body, the surrounding insects flying in strike it, and the central body vanishes. So that the central body is not wounded, what is done about the firefly's surroundings?

Because, if one enters the central body, that very body without fail repels — so centered on the firefly, one circles the surroundings. Circling the surroundings, one can pick up what is to be gotten.

There is a shadow. When the sun shines on a hot day and one enters the edge of a shadow, what then? It performs, before the central body, a function like that of the moon-halo. The sun beats down, and within its range, everything has a shadow.

Without fail, where there is substance, there is a shadow. When True Father does something in the world, a corresponding moon-halo must arise upon it. A scent emerges. Do you understand?

There is a scent, is there not? Man has man's scent, woman has woman's scent, and they differ. As for the scents, partners take in the scent of the other at once with pleasure, but conflicting scents are disliked.

If you see tens of thousands of seabirds come to the sea and raise their young, the parents catch fish and feed the chicks. The parent goes out and may come back even a week later, and even after a week, the chick does not die. It can live for six months. It lives even without eating.

The parent eats what it can in one bout, fills its belly, and comes back. Having stored it in its belly, it must smell its chick. It smells the scent that it alone holds.

On an island where tens of thousands of seabird flocks have gathered, with chicks filling every corner, the parent must find its chick. The males and females, having gone to the sea, come back — how do they find their chicks?

There is a scent like the moon-halo. The chick has a scent like that of its parent. Even if there are ten million chicks, one can know the scent of one's mate-partner. So, when one approaches the chick, its mouth opens.

Even without trying to feed it, if one merely puts one's mouth to its open mouth, one can feed the chick what was in the parent's stomach.

When one sees the chick, since its eyes are not yet open, it goes in with its eyes shut. Going inside, it does not merely taste its food — it eats it whole. The chick's beak goes into the parent's open mouth, and it swallows the whole of it.

So one can smell the chick's scent — the scent of its head, of its body, of its feet — and only that parent knows and smells those scents; others do not know. They smell scents this way and give-and-take with one another. The point is that such a moon-halo is needed.

Without a corresponding response, one cannot live eternally

When one looks at people, they wear such-and-such clothes. That is like the moon-halo. The wearing of various clothes is for the sake of those who can be one's object partner; one does not wear just any clothes. “My moon-halo was like this — so what?” When the husband comes back from somewhere, the wife smells the clothes and divines where he has been. She can know through the scent of his clothes where her husband has been.

Because the chicks know that scent, they know the mother and father. When they meet the mother or father and open their mouths, not only the head but the whole body would go in. Because they cannot breathe, they cannot quite do it; otherwise, they would want to swallow the entire fish the parents have eaten and come back out. Even scent has a pulse. There is a pulse of scent that rises and falls.

So, how is it with the chick that has smelled the parent's scent?

Because it knows the scent of the mother and the scent of the father, it enters the parents' belly and eats the fish too. Because the parent means to give and the chick means to receive, the food is naturally moved.

By such give-and-take, the chick grows, and the parents go out to fish again. If the parents only ate for themselves, they would get diarrhea and fall ill and die. So one must also know how to give.

People holding greed only desire to receive centered upon themselves and do not know how to give. The mother bird is in the posture of being able to fill the chicks' hunger, so there is no problem in supplying them up to the standard the chicks can desire. She does not bite them to death; she does not kick them away or vomit them out. She holds her mouth open.

Everything has a shadow-like counterpart. Centered on the moon-halo, the moon too must live. Only giving will not do; one must also receive. The environment must not oppose but correspond, so when it is filled, one must rest. Eating and sleeping, going and coming — if one cannot make a corresponding response, one cannot live eternally.

So, after eating, what? “Then sleeping.” At night, one must rest. If you have eaten, work as much as you have eaten.

If the working time grows long, then since the time of my sleep is taken from me, what becomes of it?

Continuing thus, one weakens and falls. So, unconditionally giving also will not do. One must know how to direct one's work and, at the same time, keep the moon-halo alive. So, the one who moves about but produces no fruit vanishes.

One must eat and sleep, and thereafter, one must also go and come. When going and coming back, one must not suffer loss. There must, without fail, be a profit that can remain, and only then, what becomes of me?

If I work for a hundred days and give a hundred and lose a hundred, what becomes of me?

The moon itself loses its halo and wears away, so the very game in which it itself vanishes unfolds. Without the theory of the moon-halo, there is neither good nor bad, and the desire to go and come also ends. One eats and sleeps, and if the time when one can sleep is passed, one vanishes.

It is eating and sleeping, going and coming, and going alone will not do. If you go to give and cannot add even a penny of interest, then as I go again, I vanish. The one who would idle and eat sells off and uses up even the house and property of his mother and father, and in the end, he too vanishes.

I have said there is a moon-halo. When a person passes by, without fail, there is a scent, is there not? When a guest comes, an unusual scent comes from that person.

If one is sensitive, one knows it one hundred percent. When you put your head close, your head vibrates; when you put your mouth close, your mouth vibrates. As you smell the scent, it vibrates, and so you know. You do not fail to know.

Because there is such a thing, even when tens of thousands of mated pairs in the animal world bear tens of thousands of young, they find their young among them. They go out to hunt and return after a week. Some come back after several months.

What is the bird in the South Pole that walks about like a person called?

Penguins and the like come back after several months. Then how do they find their chicks? How do they know the parents? It is scent. They find them by a scent like the moon-halo. They know by the scent of the mouth or the scent of the fur. Because the wavelengths of their vibrations move together, they know.

People, too, can all know whether the path they walk is a path of ruin or a path of prosperity.

If a person only eats three days a week, as he goes on, he dies. In two weeks, in twelve or thirteen days, he dies. Because he cannot leave himself behind in the dominion of any other world, he must vanish. He becomes an obstacle.

If there is a central body, one can endure only by continuing a life that leaves something like a scent or a moon-halo upon the central body. You must know that this is a principle. Centered on the secret of the moon and moon-halo, one must go and come, eat and sleep, do good and bad. The formula is one.

No one in debt can go to the Kingdom of Heaven

No one in debt can go to the Kingdom of Heaven. Knowing this, True Father, even were he to die a thousand times, will not be in debt. One must go having given a debt of gratitude; one cannot go having received it.

Though I love my sons and daughters, is the Unification Church not greater than my sons and daughters?

Since we are making a house of the Cosmos, and that is the greater house, even my sons and daughters must be put into it, even at their sacrifice. I wish even my sons and daughters would sacrifice.

If it has been done for ten years, then in the eleventh year, the result without fail appears.

When autumn comes, the fruit hangs ten times, even a hundred times. Just by going around one circuit of a year, one can know. One year has passed. Why is True Father conducting the Seonghwa Ceremony this time? The Seonghwa must be done well. If done poorly, the root dies.

If the moon-halo vanishes, the central body is shorn away. Knowing this, one cannot work at a loss, and to work without producing fruit will not do. If you do not act so that there is benefit to those around you or do not have an environment in which all bow their heads in respect, that very thing vanishes.

The character “holy” (聖) is “ear” (耳) on the side, with “mouth” (口) and “king” (王). Does sound come from the ear or from the mouth? “It comes from the mouth.” When the mouth and ear, the two, become one, and the king (王) is placed beneath, all under Heaven moves. Then, in hearing sound, does the ear hear, or the mouth? “The ear hears.” The ear hears and the mouth answers — or is it the ear, the nose, the eye? “The mouth.” So you do know!

When the mouth speaks, it is transmitted to the ear. When the ear hears, the mouth takes it up and answers. Therefore, when “ear” (耳) and “mouth” (口) have “king” (王) placed with them, it is “holy.”

The point is that God becomes the master at its center. The character “sage/holy” (聖) is composed. In pictographic characters — characters formed by taking the shape — the harmony of Heaven and earth has gone in.

When God's dual characteristics, centered on the relationship of correspondence and correlation, attach east-west-south-north and become one, the shadow of harmony arises there. When one gives inspiration, when I shine forth light, the shape of a moon-halo arises there too.

Following along, living so once, twice, ten times — what then? One goes to live in that house, becomes the son-in-law of that house, inherits the bloodline, and becomes a family member.

What is a family member (sikgu)? It is one who, by the old way (gusik), matches what was so in the past and lives so today too — that is a family member. Reversed, it is gusik — the old way.

If you ate rice yesterday, you must eat better today; if you cannot eat, it will not do. There is no separate medicine. The saliva of the mouth is medicine that can defend against external germs and internal germs. Try dabbing it like this. When the nose is stopped up, smear it on the nose. Once, twice, three times — if you say it will heal, it heals.

When the nostrils have dried out and the crust will not come off, doing it once, twice, three times, or even leaving it alone, the crust falls off on this side. The shell falls off with what is attached. Try it. When you always sleep this way and have dreams, lie on your right side or on your left, and even if that does not work, if you are sleeping east-to-west, try sleeping south-to-north. If you sleep south-to-north, dreams vanish. Even the inability to sleep can be adjusted.

When you must lay hands on someone, if the right hand is sick, the left hand must rub it. There is nothing else.

If the wife is sick, if the husband stays up through the night massaging her, she heals. When the fine hair knows, the skin knows, the flesh knows, the bone and marrow know — what next? It must turn and come out.

If the husband stands at the door in front, the wife's illness flees out the back door, and so she heals.

God is the one and only Master

Today is March 8, and I am going to Las Vegas. Now I go to harvest. However outstanding someone there may be, he must have a Seonghwa Ceremony. Even if everything from his property to his very root ancestors is to vanish all at once, he must have the Seonghwa and go to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Even if one cannot rise to the position of an ancestor of the world, even as a beggar or an errand-runner, one must enter the Kingdom of Heaven by following. For this reason, whatever the difficulty, the Seonghwa must be conducted.

There must be no possessed things. Those are stolen things. They were taken from Adam. Eve stole. Eve created the foundation by which one can stray in the world of the husband.

So, through history, who has shed the most blood and sweat for the sake of true husbands? Women have shed blood and sweat to fill it in.

As True Father came, at the very end, you do not know what the original husband is like. You do not know love. Having entered the Unification Church, you do not merely long for True Father. You love. Is it a True Father who is longed for or a True Father who is loved? It is a True Father who is loved. Even giving up one's father, one's husband, and one's sons and daughters, one cannot exchange True Father for them.

The heart is so. If told to leave behind and come out, one must come out — there is no other way. One leaves behind a husband and parents and comes out. Because all of you are so, you have been driven out of the house, and the Unification Church members have been treated worse than outsiders; people have said to go and die in the Pacific Ocean, to be dashed down a cliff and washed away by the water and buried. They did not treat us as human beings.

Even True Father, who is the chief, was not treated as a human being. He was not treated as a human being by you, and he was not treated as a human being by the Satanic world. The One who treated him as a human being was God.

The invisible God is the one and only Master. Even if there are ten million, He is the kind of Master of whom it is said that the Master is one. Even if there are billions of individuals, the King is one.

Even if there are billions of families, the King of that family is one. The King of a tribe and a people is also one. The family of the True Parents stands in place of all. Centered on the kingship of such one God, it is Yeong Yeon Se (靈聯世) — the connection of the spirit world and the world. The character yeon (聯) is “ear” (耳) on the side, with “thread” (絲) like this. To bind together, and since Heaven has conveyed to me through the ear, now convey to the world — that is the point.

In examining candidates for the election of the Pope of Christianity, do you know that even traces of illness on the hands or feet disqualify one from becoming Pope?

The eyes must be straight; even one-sided double eyelids will not do. The shape of the eye must be just as God made it as an original element in Eden, and the shape of the face must be so. Even in sitting, one is not free to sit any way.

For this reason, when True Father went to school, he carved a hollow into his chair, sat with his hips into it, and held his back straight upright. Because I trained myself such that my neck stood up together with my hips, even now, True Father is so. Because of an aircraft accident some time ago and the influence of that, the body is somewhat misaligned, but before that, it was not so.

When you look at the heels of True Father's shoes, they are even. Even after five years of wear, they are the same. It is because he walked uprightly. When you marry in the future, just flip over the shoes, and you can tell whether one is conscientious or not. They must not be worn crooked. When in the old days I studied the Cheonjamun in one stretch, it took less than three hours. I memorized the Cheonjamun in one hour and forty minutes — but now I have forgotten it all.

The King of Kings is One

When True Father was seventeen, he composed a prayer titled “Crown of Glory,” and that prayer received the first prize at a Western poets' association. That itself is a fact, not a falsehood.

What of the content of that poem?

In True Father's book Father's Prayer, there are many astonishing poems. Centered on one of them, our missionary was inspired and published it. That True Father had such an ability would have remained buried unknown, but through that one poem, it came to light.

True Father's poetic feeling is rich. The prayer True Father offered on the first day of January this year is simple — examine it. True Father spoke, representing Heaven. Everything is in it. Were I to give a commentary of even ten pages on the Cheonjamun, all would be astonished.

If you read the poems composed by my great-uncle, hidden within them are his heart concerning the affairs of the world, his hometown, and the national restoration of the homeland.

The person who re-edited those poems called my great-uncle the ancestor of the Korean Independence Day movement. It has come to light.

The declaration of the March First Independence Movement was drafted by my great-uncle. He was at once a pastor and a classical scholar. He studied Eastern history and prophetic books and even the Bible. Those in Korea who went to take the civil-service examination received guidance from my grandfather. Knowing that within Western history there was dream-like content, by the time he was forty-two, he had graduated from theological seminary and become a pastor. He was good at English as well and looked truly like a gentleman.

In the last few years, I have spent all the reserve funds. Even as the Unification Church is pressed to where it cannot but perish, the line cannot be cut, and I cannot die.

If I live and overcome the magnates of the world, I will become the king of the bank. If one places a certain amount of God's deposit funds to join as a branch, that money can be used. Because I am one body with God, I can use it.

The King of Kings is One. Furthermore, before the kindreds of the seven stages — the individual age, the family age, the tribal age, the people age, the national age, the world age, and the cosmic age — the king who can be the master is one. I cannot say how many counterfeits have come forth and been stolen. That must be settled. One cannot deceive oneself. When questioning the spirit world, if it comes out that you owe a certain amount, you must sell all your property and pay it. That day is not far off.

How did True Father marry you? It was not a game. When I look, if it fits, an unseen line is connected. A beam of light is connected. When the beam of my eye turns aside like this, it has gone wrong. Yet without knowing how much devotion was offered, you divorce as you please and do as you will, and that cannot be re-mended.

When did God come into being? Is it called “day-and-night” or “night-and-day”? “Night and day.” Is it called upper-lower or lower-upper? “Upper-lower.” You did not know that above the God who carries out the providence of restoration, there is the one God.

True Father came, having received guidance from the God of before the providence of restoration. This is the holy textbook of that God. It is the textbook; it is the teaching material. In that world, the content of the dark world is clear. He knows what score I have.

One must be able to prepare for the Seonghwa Ceremony

In that sense, what is the Owner of Peace? Those who came in the historical age before True Father came and went to the spirit world are in the dominion of attending the one and only Owner of Peace. They have gone to the spirit world, but they are in many strata. They live, having entered the spirit world, but the strata are more complex than on Earth today. Living within that complex dominion of thousands of branches, True Father has put it simply in order.

To put it in order is the work of True Father on earth — even God in the spirit world cannot lay hands on it. So He liberated even God. Unless one follows that principle, there is no way to escape.

The King of Peace is one and only — yet in the dark world, a plan of creation was set up, and even there, something like a moon halo has been made. There was a duplicate of the original. Because it is so as it stands, it has no connection with the post-Fall program of the Providence of Restoration.

Why make the Seonghwa Ceremony so complicated?

It must not be done in such a way that the whole world does not know. President Obama and those in office — the president and vice president, of course, and the speaker of the house and chairmen of committees, the senators, and representatives — must come together and prepare for President Bush's departure.

True Father holds the rope, firmly fixing the path I can walk, and is making it so that the present Seonghwa Ceremony can hang up the signboard as a Seonghwa Ceremony of the United Nations. Only then, even if you do not help with a single penny, I alone can sweep away instantly the work the UN cannot do.

We must establish palaces in the east, west, south, and north, and centered on east-west-south-north, anyone — religious or political — must be able to come and refine himself and attend the Master and prepare for the final Seonghwa.

Doing so, when one goes to the spirit world, all humanity cannot help but become people of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Then it will not take three years. Even now, many people are going to hell, and True Father is in a position to open the gate of the Kingdom of Heaven. He has opened what had been shut all this while, and now he is in a position where he must shut. Knowing True Father, who has thought to leave that work undone, if you truly wish to see him, fast or repent in earnest. Offer devotion and repent.
