(Beginning the Hoon Dok reading from the Message titled “Let At Least Us Be with the Father” in Volume 8 of Sun Myung Moon's Collected Sermons; Let at least us be with the Father—I will speak under this title……) “At least us”—does it mean only the Unification Church? Whom does the phrase “at least us” refer to? Does it refer to the people of our side, or is it spoken from God's side?
On Whose Side Must We Live?
It does not refer to Korean people alone either. It is spoken with God's side in view. (The Hoon Dok reading continues; On such a course of history, if you merely wait, supposing that Heaven will do everything for you, do you suppose you will go to that other world and receive glory……?)
Does it seem so? Yes or no? You will know that well. Does it seem so, or not?
The one called Teacher Moon is now ninety-one—how is he to cross the hill of a hundred? At the time of crossing the hill of a hundred, one comes to be anxious that there remains the fight to cross the ten further hills beyond a hundred.
The more the Last Days draw near, the more gravely I seek to invest tens of times, even hundreds of times more, and to leave behind at least the foundation of preparation on which you can fight—even a word of such conditional standard—before I go. So you cannot know how busy the days I am passing are.
Today, too, I rose at midnight and, without sleeping a wink, came out after reading the wretched facts of the philosophers who appear in this book. And the day before yesterday I held an event in Yeosu—do you know what event I held?
There, I even conducted an election. I won the election, and after winning, what is to be done?
After winning, who will take responsibility for the foundation on which one can prevail not merely in the nation but in the world, and the foundation on which one can prevail in heaven and on earth?
When I think of that, the moment the work ended, I realized that an inescapable, heavy burden was pressing upon my back.
So, at what time did I telephone Hwang Seon-jo this dawn as well? (You telephoned last evening.) What did I say? (You said you would go to Yeosu today.) Yeosu is Hwang Seon-jo's hometown. Going to that hometown, what is to be done?
Until now, I have moved about with a single bus, but twelve buses, fourteen, fifteen, twenty, thirty, and fifty buses are needed. No one would buy a single bus and say he would save his kindred.
What is the path I am walking?
It is not to walk a path that already existed before the Will. The point is to walk a path that did not exist, and those who follow always follow behind—there is no one who would try to stand in front.
So all their eyes gaze at the back of my head and say they wish I would go slowly. So the point is to strike the backs of their heads. Even though the age has come when, as I move about the world, I could make any number of new airplanes and move about all the more, is there a Republic of Korea that would buy even a single airplane for me?
Since it is not so, Reverend Moon must do it. I am thinking that I would sell even the grave plot where I am to die and use the money—do you know of such circumstances?
The title of today's Message is perfect. On whose side must we live? Why, those are good words.
You Must Live a Life from Which Satan Will Flee
Must I live on your side, or must you live on my side?
Must I live on God's side, or must you live ahead of God's and the Teacher's side? That must be clear, yet since people do not know it, what is to be done? Today, only the people of the headquarters have gathered here! Why do only the people of the headquarters gather?
Those who think that only the people of the headquarters must gather are thinking wrongly. One must be more anxious for the people far away than for the headquarters, and pioneer for them an environment that is three-dimensional rather than flat. Only then are the daily battles before me reduced. Why? Because they fight on my behalf, they are reduced. So there is the saying about striking the back of the head.
Since Kook Jin came today, I spoke of it.
What kind of path is the path the Father must walk?
The point is that the Father does work tens of times greater than what you imagine. I told him to know that, even if the Father makes a plan hundreds of times more astonishing than what you have expected and planned, it is the Father's responsibility to make it go that way, and to have a heart that can be tolerant. And saying so, I took him by the wrist and came out.
So it was with the assembly held this time, going to Las Vegas.
What must one do to become the heir or the representative?
One must make the program oneself, do the work, and—if the result was good—ask whether there is an ideal foundation of preparation that can produce an even better result. At once: on whose side are you? On the side of the Unification Church? One must look back gravely. These are fitting words for this time!
On whose side are you? Am I on your side, or are you on the Teacher's side?
There come to be two sides. The Father's side and the Mother's side must not differ. Since Heaven's side is more grave than the Father's side or the Mother's side, one must comply with it and, in absolute obedience, cross back and forth over the absolute authority of life and death. One must cross over and cross back.
If Heaven says go to a place of death, one dies; if it says go to a place of life, one lives. One must be able to live entrusting oneself thus, and must say one will take the lead toward a still greater battlefield.
Only then is a fortress of defense built upon the battlefield concerning God's future, and a new, ideal form of the Kingdom of Heaven comes forth. Is there anything by which you can live ahead? Is there a program? There is not. Those are grave words.
I was reading this at dawn, and the Mother said, “Why are you not sleeping and carrying on so?” The Mother wishes the Father to rest more and be at ease, but I, who know that there is no day on which I can rest, cannot but be so. In five years, I will be ninety-five, and in ten years, I will be a hundred. Even so, I cannot step back and look behind.
Once you have shot the arrowhead, it must draw nearer until the target is shattered. It must draw nearer; if it grows distant, it falls below the target. The nearer it is, the more it must be able to strive to rise.
The hands and feet below the belly are not the issue. Centering on the head, one must bore down through the breathing hole in reverse and resolve to shatter the body. One who thinks in that direction succeeds. The sons and daughters of God must be so.
Jesus said so, too, did he not?
What does the saying “He who would die shall live, and he who would live shall die” mean?
Is it the story that the comfortable become unfortunate and the unfortunate become comfortable, or what? The point is that the environment in which God is placed is different.
Do you like that different environment?
You dislike it. Blinking the eyes, at the slightest deviation from the standard, the eyes gaze upon shifts, and one tosses the head up and down and in all four directions. From the start, do away with such things by tossing them out. Now Heaven tosses them away.
Who Will Take the Lead?
What assembly did you say was held in Yeosu? (“The Special Workshop for the Families of World Marine Leaders.”) Before the marine leaders of the world, is there a boatman's family?
Does the one who goes out by boat take his family out with him?
One must set the family at the fore and go out.
If God is the owner in the marine world, He plays the role of the owner, trusting those families. God cannot play the owner. He can do nothing but serve as a servant.
What is to be done with the headquarters being built in Yeosu and Suncheon?
With the land and the island country joined, there is not even a headquarters. Because the marine realm is regarded as important, we held the forty-eight sessions of training centering on the Japanese women who left their nation and came, but it did not even reach ten thousand people, ten thousand couples. This time I asked them to bring the eight hundred-some couples without leaving out a single one and to bring even the babies in the womb.
You would have asked why I asked them to bring them. If I had said I would draw lots and divide 2.7 billion won among a few people, they would all have come without a single one missing.
If I said I would divide 27 billion won in a single hour, they would bring not only the people of their village but their relatives as well. What would happen if, having put up 2.7 billion won, I asked them to earn 27 billion with it? Not a single person would come.
I asked them to remit 27 billion won at once this morning.
How many boats must be made?
There must also be airplanes that can make the rounds. It is the family of the world's marine enterprise. Will a family work with bare palms? On the mountain, one can climb carrying a single rifle, but to go beneath the sea, who will make the diving suits, and what is to be done about the nets and goods to be used there?
As I expand the path of the Will, even tearing my hands and feet apart, it is increasingly insufficient.
So I said this to the Mother as well. Until now, the Mother has followed behind the Father, but from now on, in crossing the threshold, she must change to be at the Father's side, crossed in an X (⨉). When a person walks, the hands and feet go crossed in an X.
The satanic world has disappeared. There is no one to accuse. And yet the path that must be walked has not crossed seventy percent. Who will take the lead for the thirty percent?
Until now, God has taken the lead for seventy percent, but from now on, can Reverend Moon take the lead?
Even if I now take the lead and go, it cannot be done in ten years. Who is there? The sons and daughters are not in a position to do so. And so I think centering on the grandchildren.
What must be done so that it can be so in the age of the grandchildren?
Even now, one must love the grandchildren more than anyone. When I come back from somewhere, rather than the name of anyone here, I call the names of the grandchildren—” Where has Shin-jun gone? Where has Shin-guk gone? Where has Shin-cheon gone?”
We must build a twenty-one-story hotel or training-center building. Centering on nations such as America, Japan, and Germany, we must make a place to summon and educate the future front-runners of the fisheries world. We must furnish it as finely as the first-rate hotels in Las Vegas, such as the MGM, the Bellagio, the Mirage, and the Venetian.
For that, what must be done?
It will take from 430 million to 600 million won, but how is that to be earned? I simply say that, since Heaven tells me to do it, I will do it. Such a house must be built at Jangdeung, and the boats too must be built well. Though the budget is not even a third, I am beginning.
So, mobilizing the leading personnel—beginning with the tributary kings and the presidents of nations—so that not a single nation is missing, what must be done in Las Vegas?
The hundred ninety nations of the whole world must gather, and there a proclamation assembly—not of safe arrival but of settlement—must be held. It is done by setting up the women of three generations. There is no nation, but they are royalty. It must be done, centering on the princesses of the royal family. There are no princes because of the Fall.
And so, to make them into a company like princesses, what college is there in the Unification Church?
What college was there in our Sun Moon University?
(The College of Purity.) There is a College of Purity. Because of the College of Purity, the dormitory was built especially well. Why? Because, on the external side, I awaited the day when I would mount and sit upon Las Vegas.
It Must Become God's Familial World of Kindred
Look. We held the rebirth ceremony, the resurrection ceremony, and the Seung Hwa ceremony in Las Vegas, up to eight assemblies. We held an assembly you do not know of. It is rebirth, resurrection, and eternal life—and people know that the celebration ceremony of rebirth is held, know that the resurrection ceremony is held, and then know that the Seung Hwa ceremony is held. It is the first time that kings and honored guests have held a Seung Hwa ceremony and passed away.
Since I have made nearly three hundred billion Blessed Families in the spirit world, the time has now come to hold the Seung Hwa ceremony of Jesus' family, but no one knows that ceremony.
Since Jesus died, having failed in the First Israel, in the Second Israel, centering on family and nation, the hundred ninety-four Abel nations are made, and the hundred ninety-three are swallowed up.
Indeed, Reverend Moon swallows up the communist nations and swallows up the religious sphere as well. It must become God's familial world of kindred, where nation and religion are swallowed up at once and there can be neither religion nor nation.
The han (한) of having been unable to establish kindred until now remains, and so I establish the kindred. I have drawn the conclusion “One Family under God (하나님 아래 한 가정).”
From now on, one must go about with one's family. As for the fellows who philander, the woman must deal with the man's appendage. For those who philander by the power of the nation, once they are passed through an electrical device, the sperm and ovum are made to die. The time has come to prescribe things so that they leave no descendants.
How pleased God will be! There is the saying not to throw pearls before dogs and swine, but it is not pearls. It refers to that of a woman and a man. It is said that for a dragon to ascend to heaven, it must hold the wish-fulfilling jewel (여의주, yeouiju) in its mouth to rise; what is the wish-fulfilling jewel?
Having cultivated the Way, to lead the families of the princes and princesses of Heaven, one must rise holding the wish-fulfilling jewel in one's mouth—and the point is, what is that wish-fulfilling jewel?
As for what the wish-fulfilling jewel is, it is the righteous central flower of women (여자들의 의로운 중심—yeo-ui-ju). It is the most important and treasured thing for a woman.
Since the fundamental basis is the wish-fulfilling jewel, through that jewel, what is done?
It is the wish-fulfilling jewel that can produce the man, produce the woman, produce the king, produce the sons and daughters of God, and even produce the bride of God.
I know that the one that must furnish every means by which the Soviet Union can be saved is neither Japan nor China, but Korea. Because Korea has the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter distinctly, no one can match the Korean people in long-term logging in the Soviet Union, or in catching fish in cold regions, or in enduring while diving beneath the ice.
In the technology for building aircraft carriers, or the technology for firing torpedoes, Korean technology is better than American technology.
Do you know that Korea is better than Britain, Germany, or Italy?
Korea is the nation that holds a world record in making a guided missile that can detect heat and, when it enters the ground, follow down into the earth to below twenty-seven stories and detonate.
In building luxury liners as well, it is first, second, and third in the world. It has long since outstripped Japan. It was about fifteen years ago! I said to Furuta and Kamiyama, “In just seventeen more years, Korea will get ahead of your nation in electronic technology and will become a fearsome nation holding a world record in the launching of guided missiles.” They thought it a dream and said, What is there that would make it so.
The Time to Pray to the Ancestors
Knowing that, I am one who, from that time, prepared to be able to deal with the world.
What is it that a person who could not but die survived?
Because the God of the night could not do it, He set me up and did it. Because there was a will to say that the God of the day and the God of the night would become one body and try to be the captain, the God of the night guided me.
When those who count themselves distinguished come and bow in greeting, what do I say?
Asking, “What is your wish?” and asking how they would answer such-and-such a problem, when they say they do not know, my mouth speaks automatically, saying, “How did you not know this?” What has become scripture, I did not speak with my mouth. Not one thing began from my thinking. (Bowing in reverence.)
When the bow of reverence is made, forgetting that I receive your reverence, I must receive the reverence of the Blessed Families in the heavenly kingdom and receive your reverence. The spirit world is not tens of millions but hundreds of millions. It exceeds three billion.
Since such people have received the Blessing, now they return to the earth, come to their families, and drive out what the Satanic forces had been guarding.
If you do not attend the Unification Church, they carry you off, just as the Satanic forces used to carry you off.
Now the time has come to pray to the ancestors. I take overall charge of the ancestors who stand in the ranks of loyal subjects and patriotic martyrs through the ages, set them in order anew, and have them take part in the line of the loyal subjects and patriotic martyrs of the heavenly kingdom.
I say, “The time has come when one can work for the restoration of the fatherland, so return to earth, drive out Satan, and from among your relatives—if it is the Mun clan, from among the Muns—first carry off that scoundrel of a Mun who opposes the Unification Church!”
Long ago, there was Elder Park's Faith Village (신앙촌)—where was that place? It was the boundary line between Goguryeo and Baekje. Going there every day, I thought that I must drive a pillar and bind the two nations together. The Han River (한강) is a river of much han (한). From here, one must bore a tunnel with the South Han River and the North Han River. That must be planned.
I may set you up as the person responsible for digging that tunnel. It is the task at hand. Through the tunnel, Seoul and Mt. Geumgang are connected. I might make it so that one can ride through the underground tunnel to Mt. Geumgang and back, and to Seoul and back.
Where are our hometown and the land of our origin?
It is to be connected all the way to South Jeolla. A tunnel linking Mokpo and Jeju Island must be bored, a tunnel linking with Japan must be bored, and a tunnel must be bored at the Bering Strait. There is a responsibility to do that.
