(Beginning Hoon Dok of the Message titled “Let Us Open Our Eyes Again and Look Upon Heaven,” in Volume 5 of Reverend Sun Myung Moon's Collected Speeches: ……Therefore, you must become people who, as original sons and daughters who can live holding the ideology of good, fill in the nail marks driven into Heaven's breast, settle the historical sorrow, and, as beings of joy and as media of harmony in place of all things and all under heaven, can have it said, “You are my boast, my love, the foremost standard of my happiness.”
God is looking upon you with such a heart, but in the gaze with which you, today, lift your eyes and look upon that God, is the standard of resurrection grasped?)
One Must Set Up a Single Model Form and Go Seeking It
People of Gangwon Province! Today I speak the best word, the most needed word, before the people of Gangwon Province, but the name is Gangwon Province, so it is far! Gangwon Province refers to the province on the far side of the river.
Now in Korea, Gangwon Province is set apart. You must know that the life of Seoul and the life of the mountain villages of Gangwon Province differ in flow and differ in movement. So one must set up a single model form that can settle the root and go seeking it.
What did you come this far to do?
Coming and sitting here, one must at least become a figure who can repent with tears. One must not become people who, failing even that, not knowing that, as Gangwon Province, one stands on the far side, not doing such repentance and not striving either, think that Heaven will do it all. (Hoon Dok continues.) Enough of that; do this. This is the final manuscript to be done, going to Las Vegas.
It is the final proclamation of the person called the True Parents, the person called the King of Kings, and one can compare how much difference there is between the Message of that manuscript and the actual situation of Gangwon Province and me, who, gathering at this Cheon Jeong Gung today, hold the desire to govern even the ideal of that world. Read this. Listen well to how much distance there is. It is not the Korean people. One must stand in the position of God's proxy, who can become the owner, becoming such a Korea. How far is it? (Hoon Dok continues: But unfortunately, humanity lives as the descendants of the fall. Therefore, the human being, whoever it may be, can lead a life of completion only by being born through the three stages of rebirth, resurrection, and eternal life through the True Parents……)
You — do not think of those words as something passing.
When Jesus met Nicodemus, and he, having become a teacher of Israel, asked, “What must I do to go to the Kingdom of Heaven?” the word he said to Nicodemus was, “You must be reborn.”
Until now, humanity has not been able to be reborn. Jesus should have awakened, made them repent, made them reborn, and found the nation and found the people. They did not know that that family, becoming one, would liberate the spirit world.
They were people who did not know rebirth, did not know repentance, and then did not know that they were entering hell, but, regenerating them from the path of death of perdition, I proclaimed the Seonghwa ceremony. These words God could not do, and no saint or sage of that world could do, but the point is that, making them reborn and making them repent, one does the Seonghwa ceremony.
What kind of person is that?
If he is a person, he is a person greater than the solar system and a being greater than the being of the universe, but no one knows him as a great being.
Between the actual reality you know and the reality of Providence, there is a difference of ten million stages. There is the first dimension, second dimension, third dimension, and fourth dimension, but you do not know about the fourth-dimensional world, do you?
They are people who do not know that there remains a path to cross beyond the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth dimensions, cross the thirteenth dimension, and cross the seventy-second-dimensional world. What must be done about these people?
In What Direction Is One Going?
You — all objects burn in fire. A person, too, who has a body and mind living on a realistic stage, if put into a pit of fire, burns, or not? If God too is put into a pit of fire, will He burn up, or not? But the place of rebirth is the place connected to true love, so none can burn it. God, too, wishes for that. Jesus also said he must be resurrected.
In any era, the one who comes holding the realm of resurrection is the chief of chiefs in that era. Not only that, but there is the rebirth Blessing, the resurrection Blessing, the Seonghwa Blessing, and then the Blessing by which one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven by direct route. It is work that God Himself did not know, that God Himself could not do, but the King of kings and the True Parents who appeared upon the earth, becoming one, do away with the rise of death, do away with hell, and what — the Kingdom of Heaven of resurrection?
It is to give the benefit by which one can take part in the realm of living, one is now breathing in. You are in such a realm of grace.
But what relation do you and I have?
The point is, what relation do I have to the office one holds, the ground of the living environment in which one stakes one's life and eats and lives? Is there any relation, or not? Speak. Even though one opens the eyes together and looks, one does not know how to see; even though the nose protrudes and faces a high place, one does not know how to smell; even eating, one does not know the taste; even hearing, one does not know how to hear; even touching, one does not know how to feel.
So there must be a fire judgment, and who is the person who will remain in that fire judgment?
The judgment of the tongue, centering on God's Word, is the fire judgment, and the point is, who is the person who cannot burn in that fire?
If one enters the midst of fire reaching a thousand degrees, ten thousand degrees, or a hundred million degrees, will one not burn? The clothes, the hide, the hair—how about them? Will the four limbs and the whole body burn, emitting pitch-black smoke, or not?
That you breathe too — is it your breath?
You live by stealing. What relation do you have to the sunlight, what relation to the air, what relation to the water, and what relation to the earth?
Those are God's things. They are the things of the True Parents, the King of kings. Several hundred thousand years have passed, so how many kings were there? There were many kings — the king of the family, the king of the tribe, the king of the nation — but among those kings, he is the one and only King of kings.
There were many parents, but is there an owner who, as a substance reborn, resurrected, and sublimated at God's judgment seat, can have God command, “I wished for you, and only today have I achieved my wish, so clear away all the judgmental things!”?
I do not know whether I am the True Parents or the King of Kings, but I hold all authority over heaven and earth, and beyond that all authority — what?
Centering on the authority of rebirth, will I do work that Jesus and God could not do?
Will I make them reborn and resurrected? Jesus could not make several tens of millions or several hundred million Christians repent, but will I make them repent? All of them, unable to cross the wall between the spirit world and the physical world, hold a terror of death, but will I send those people to the Kingdom of Heaven?
I am asserting the God of night and day. Then what kind of textbooks and teaching materials are the textbooks and teaching materials?
There is not a single textbook by Chairman Moon. There is no record of anyone in Gangwon Province here, no record of a president, no record of the countless little scraps of pastors, no record of the pope.
Last year, I went to Las Vegas up to 26 times, and on December 23, Chairman Moon announced the teaching materials and textbooks, along with the name of God. That is not a lie.
The point is, just try dying to see whether it has not become as those words, as that directive, say. What will you do if it has become so? It is a grave word. We do not gather to be criticized or assessed by you. We gather gravely. As each day passes, the day of parting from you draws nearer and nearer. It is not a meeting but a parting. Then, in what direction is the lot going forward, with a path on which one cannot meet again set before it?
Do You Know What Kind of Person Chairman Moon Is?
Here is content about the demoiselle crane that crosses back and forth over the Himalaya range, and comes forth, and who spoke that, and when?
When Hyo-yul found out, the point was that Chairman Moon spoke about the demoiselle crane in 1984. Unificationists, unless their tradition and spirit go beyond those demoiselle cranes, cannot go to the Kingdom of Heaven. I knew in advance what others did not know and used it as material for education.
Among all of this, where is there anything that they themselves know?
Do they give the rebirth Blessing?
It is something not in the world, something God does not know, something the spirit people of the spirit world do not know either.
Did Jesus give the resurrection Blessing?
If Jesus had given the resurrection Blessing, the Unification Church has blessed several hundred billion people in the spirit world. And I did the Seonghwa ceremony. How many are the people for whom I did the Seonghwa ceremony?
When I say to the people living upon the earth, “Gather before the gate of the Kingdom of Heaven!” believing that and centering on that faith, one must be able to exchange, even giving everything, not only one's own life and property.
One should wish to add even one's family and nation and Asia and the world, raise that standard, and exchange it, but how are you doing? Can even one fellow say, “Why does Chairman Moon not meet me one-on-one and give me the Blessing?" Is that a corresponding environment, a responsive environment? The point is that they do not know that they are in a mutually opposed, mutually contradictory relationship.
Is it all finished? Let us finish it. Now content more and more fearsome comes forth. Was there a time when even a founder of a religion in the spirit world found out about the thing called the Seonghwa ceremony and taught it?
Have you ever heard the word Blessing?
Even Jesus could not do it. Jesus said, “Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is near,” and John the Baptist too said, “Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is near,” but they could not even get to the Kingdom of Heaven. They said it had come near. How did they know whether it had come to the north, to the south, through the air?
So, do you know what kind of person Chairman Moon is?
He is the spy of spies of the Kingdom of Heaven, the agent of agents. Do you know how many secret bundles there are?
Do you know how many veins of information that can investigate them there are?
Just as in the human body, too, centering on the veins called meridians, there is nothing not known instantly. I am not a person who lives like a scarecrow, idling away time, to simply pass ninety and a hundred years.
Your eyes differ from mine. The nose differs too, the mouth differs too, all four limbs and the whole body differ. You know nothing. Even if I open your eyes and teach you, what do you hear of hearing? One went to the tavern where one used to feed in the old days and went whoring, and one cannot forget that shock, try as one might. Because one cannot feel a shock beyond that, one struggles below it and comes to die.
That is why, do you know that, surrounded by friends or religious people one met in that place, welcomed, one is taken before the gate of hell, and a signboard is hung up?
One cannot go to the Kingdom of Heaven. (Hoon Dok continues: When death approaches, the human being trembles in fear. He feels terror. It is because he does not know what death means. Through human history's six-thousand-year period, there was no one, not a single person, who clearly taught the truth about death……)
One Must Endure Long and Live for Others Long
They regard all my words as lies. Do they believe even a hundredth or a thousandth of it? Let us bring God in and speak it openly. Now such a time comes. (Hoon Dok continues: You — the word “death” is sacred. It is not a synonym for sorrow and pain. So Reverend Moon revised and announced that word as “Seonghwa”……)
That God too could not do, and the God who was the Owner of night until now too cannot do. A person who stood in the position of teacher upon the earth did that antic alone. So it is not in history either. They are all words you cannot know, are they not? Two-thirds are words you cannot know.
If one looks them up in the encyclopedia of the Kingdom of Heaven that I made, they will come out. (Hoon Dok continues: The moment of entering the spirit world is the time of blossoming the life of the earthly realm, bearing fruit, holding the ripe grain, and entering the world of rapture and victory. It is a moment to rejoice. It is a time to celebrate to one's heart's content and see oneself off. It is a time to shed not tears of sorrow but tears of joy. The Seonghwa ceremony is that holy and sublime a rite……)
So, do you know it as a holy and sublime rite?
You would be in a position where you could go to the spirit world and protest to me, “Why did you teach me by snatch, like a thief? Why did you not strike and make me repent, as if cutting into six pieces with a club?” you see. It is wretched.
Because I have crossed such rises, and gone back and forth several hundred or several thousand times, I, even in the midst of a dream, whenever there is time, do it all at once. There is no lingering regret. I am one to whom this world, opposed, is one I dislike living in, but do you say to live a thousand ages, ten thousand ages, in long life? I am one who, if it were up to the world, wished to go to the spirit world with a clean mind, without even sinning, without even saying such words. I am one who, disliking even to cross the rise of fifty, wished to die before forty-eight.
Now I am over ninety, and those here under fifty, raise your hands. Those before forty-five, raise your hands.
Since I have lived twice that, how am I, by experience and in every aspect, compared with you?
Since I live not only as an individual but also in the position of teacher of the Unification Church, did I live better than you or worse?
What was first done as Hoon Dok was what I spoke of in the spring of my thirty-ninth year. It was when there was no mother. It should all have been finished in the seven years from 1945 to 1952, but because it did not become so, one must do it centering on Mother. Now, for me, there is no rise. The point is that I have crossed them all. The demoiselle crane crosses the Himalaya range, raises its young, and returns, and that is not only once. It does so until it dies.
I have endured long and, until now, lived for your sake. Because I have so lived for your sake, you remain in the Unification Church. Because I live for your sake even now, you believe in the Unification Church, and if you only give my name, wherever you go, do they consider you to be sons and daughters of a splendid household, consider you to be disciples, or consider you to be servants? They consider you to be sons and daughters and treat you so, but if you think it natural that all under heaven is so, it is a great misunderstanding. (Hoon Dok continues: Beginning with former U.S. Secretary of State Alexander Haig, who once, during the Korean War, even saved my life by bombing the Heungnam prison in which I was confined, and former President Kim Dae-jung of Korea, who received the Nobel Peace Prize……)
One Must Become the Final Demonstration Squad to Boast of Chairman Moon
So, even though President Kim Dae-jung's lot thinks gratefully of the Unification Church, there is no one who says they will believe in the Unification Church. They say, “I respect Chairman Moon. I have understood.” But does it do to understand that way? Even saying one knows, saying, “I came to know it that way by hearing rumors,” one cannot stand in the partner realm of that substance. One must do it together with Chairman Moon.
I prepared the teaching writings for thirty years. To make those teaching writings, it took thirty-three years. For you, it is an antic that one cannot do even if 2,100 years pass, not 120, fourfold. The point is that one cannot digest it for free.
Because I laid a bridge, one can cross that bridge back and forth. Where there is a railway, I have made all the places to step out alongside it and take shelter in the middle. Because I have made such a safety device, the point is, cross over even while dozing.
It will not do to fail to cross even that. (Hoon Dok continues: You — this era now is the era in which Heaven proclaimed the “Heavenly Calendar.” It is a grave era.
True Parents of humanity, who came holding the “Heavenly Person” who will take responsibility for the eternal life of 6.5 billion humankind — the time has come when there is no path to live without following Reverend Moon's teaching. All of you — it is a time to bring out Reverend Moon's name to all under heaven, to boast and praise it……)
If I make such an announcement, does it seem that America or the people who opposed it throughout the whole world will stay still?
There is also the power to blow away a demonstration squad all at once, but I do not do that. Knowing all that, I made the announcement. To your homes, too, an official document may now come out from the nation, saying, “Do not believe in Chairman Moon!”
Then the people who stay still may be struck by a thunderbolt. (Hoon Dok continues: One must offer great gratitude to God and the True Parents, who gave the key of the Blessing and Seonghwa that can shine over all nations and made us establish the tradition of Cheon Il Guk. Shall we not all offer applause of gratitude to God the Father, who bestowed such precious life upon us, without cost, as grace……?) (Applause.)
The sound of applause is grateful, but my ears are deafened by that sound of applause.
How much applause have you done?
You, too, said restoration through indemnity was no problem, saying that if you only became one, you would achieve it all at any time, but what happened? It is not so simple. Because the time was far off and it was a time to wait, God did not permit it.
But I know the time. The time to wait has all passed. So, among the complicated problems of the world, centering on the events by which Chairman Moon can do the Seonghwa ceremony and can despair, bridges are laid in every nook and corner. It is the result of Heaven's educating to make one quickly understand and follow the owner-personage who can solve that. You must know that the heavenly fortune is with us.
Those who have become over seventy years old — before dying, standing in the street until their throats burst—what must they do? Even being beaten to death, until the fire in the breast is not extinguished, one must shout out the history of the patriot Yu Gwan-sun.
One must not say one does not know Chairman Moon. One cannot but boast of Korea. In the history of Korea, no one rendered more merit than Chairman Moon. Because even God cannot but come forth following Chairman Moon's instigation, He has come forth and is making the final declaration together.
One must become the final demonstration squad to make it so that, with the liberated Kingdom of Heaven, hell vanishes, and there is only the one and only Kingdom of Heaven upon the earth.
(Hoon Dok continues: Therefore, humanity is now at a time when it must submit, in a humble posture, before the command of Heaven. The point is that a fateful time has approached before us today when, following the guidance of the True Parents, who are conducting the Providence in the earthly realm as the substantial body of God, the King of Peace, we must throw ourselves wholly into the remaining three years and make a life-or-death resolve……)
One Must Fulfill the Contents of the Teaching Materials
I am already doing that work. It is not a story that it will come but that it has come.
What becomes of one passing time like a dolt?
Noah, building the ark for 120 years, was criticized, and a rumor spread, but the people who entered by God's command were the eight household members of Noah. Even the eight household members would rather not enter, and Noah threw them in. It becomes so in the same way.
If one has one's own backing cord, one must cut everything off and go with empty hands. I have only empty hands. Before Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden even received the Blessing, did they have an inheritance or some proxy right of possession? They did not. I came forth saying nothing, with a silent no-answer, but because the time to make the final declaration has come, I only proclaim. Whether it perishes or prospers, whether one dies or lives, one will know by watching and waiting. (Hoon Dok continues: You — pouring out the time and sincere devotion of an eternity of kalpas……)
It is the time of an eternity of kalpas. Even if hundreds of millions of years pass, what is it that you must know? The point is that if the time when one can repent and put things in order does not come, you yourselves suffer loss. It is all settled at once. (Hoon Dok continues: In agonizing pain in which the bones weep and the flesh trembles, have you even thought of how long and arduous a tunnel of indemnity your Father, who endured and waited several thousand, several ten thousand years, has crossed? The point is, have you ever, for even one moment, shed tears for the sake of this pitiful Father……?)
It is not your sons and daughters that are the issue. The sons and daughters of the blessed people are not the issue. The era of common equality has come, in which the several hundred billion of the spirit world and the several hundred million blessed people upon the earth must take the steps of a shared fate together. (Hoon Dok continues: You — God raised and prepared the Korean people through several thousand years. Two thousand years ago, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth, and you too will know well the history by which He sought to save humanity again through him……)
How much revelation did the people who believed in Jesus for two thousand years receive, and how much prophecy did they make?
You know well. They come and even now settle on the earth and witness. It is only that one does not know how to see and does not know, but you must know the fact that the good ancestors are going about weeping to bar the road, lest you perish. (Hoon Dok continues: The Korean people are a heaven-descended people who have lived from of old, revering God as the highest, supreme ancestor among ancestors……)
Because I have a responsibility before the Korean people, I notify them of the content by which they can cope with and prepare for these Last Days. I am not a person who will simply come and go. I have made all the teaching writings and textbooks, and anyone who does not do as they say cannot avoid punishment.
(Hoon Dok continues: But such an era is a transitional era. The point is that it is a processual era that must be passed through in entering the era of the human being casting off fallen nature, finding the original form, attending God as Father, and living as a unified one family.
The era of putting up an absolute standard upon the foundation sanctified in both inner and outer aspects through the marriage Blessing and of having to go the path of a life of living for the sake of others, the last-stage era, is the “era of the heart of Heaven”……)
If it had become so ten years ago, ten years would not have been lost. If the rebirth ceremony, resurrection ceremony, and Seonghwa ceremony had been done ten years ago, all would have gone to the Kingdom of Heaven then.
If the gate opens and the UN comes forth bearing the flag and rallies together, within three years from that day, everything is all put in order. So, to put it in order in a period of under three years, I proclaimed it the final rise and went to Las Vegas.
Do you know what kind of place Las Vegas is?
It is a place where, if they come to know Chairman Moon has appeared, one could be beaten to death in broad daylight. But because there is Heaven's command and the time has come, I cannot do as I please. Because I cannot do as I please, I dignifiedly said such words, and it is the final testament. The point is that I left it as a comprehensive word of testament in place of my life and the history that Heaven toiled over.
That is why, even after a thousand, ten thousand years, the descendants are set so that they cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven without keeping those words. It is the textbook and teaching materials. Any university can make a textbook, but the material of the teaching materials, even the spirit world, does not know.
The material is the only one we have. Without knowing that material, even speaking of the textbook, one cannot distinguish whether one has become a servant, has become a disciple, or has become a son or daughter.
If one is a son or daughter, one knows even the teaching materials, and one's own history of shedding tears when the father wrote it should be in there, but the point is that the person who is not so has gone wrong in the correlation in making the teaching materials.
Such a person, even looking upon the gate of the Kingdom of Heaven, cannot enter. Having entered, one must come right back out. One must fulfill the contents of the teaching materials. These are contents that must be fulfilled. (Hoon Dok continues: You — last year, my autobiography, which contains my life with candor, was published……)
Because There Is a Book, Study with the Book
My autobiography was published and became a bestseller, so that the Korean people could be told, Everyone, read it, but do you know how much funding went into that? I lost all my reserve funds in these few years. I shook my hands clean. They are empty.
Centering on Adam's family, when one inherits as God's proxy and is set up as a separate household, one should entrust one's own right of possession and be set up as a separate household, but one is in a place that has not crossed beyond that place.
If the right of possession you hold has become the kindling that can be set ablaze and fire has been set, your things must all vanish. They are all like stolen objects.
There is a responsibility to gather them again and send them back. One must send them back within a week or three weeks. I told you to do that procedure, but no one did so.
The all-life offering! Offering the offering, it becomes an offered sacrifice. The sacrifice, doing it a hundred, a thousand times; if Heaven does not receive it, one must continue a thousand, ten thousand times. Why do you not do it? Four or five years have already passed.
If one studies sons and daughters with that savings account, the sons and daughters are caught. The whole kin is caught. The point is, who takes responsibility for that? I am paying for it in their stead. In the difficult period of five to seven years, in which one cannot live without funds, you see. I cannot supply it any longer.
If I supply it from now on, even your ancestors will all flow away. The descendants and the ancestors flow away all at once. (Hoon Dok continues: Please read closely once more this record of true love, which contains without addition or subtraction the life I have walked for ninety years following the heavenly mandate, and receive a great awakening……)
The point is, even now, study the teaching materials and repent. That is the heart of the parent, the heart of Heaven.
If one fails to recognize that, even I can do nothing. I have said all I have to say and made all my requests. (Hoon Dok continues: I said that the life of settlement at noon is a life that makes no shadow. If all of us become light-emitting bodies and live a life of giving light, there is no gap for a shadow to form. The one who receives is the one who incurs debt…
How much have you received from me?
And, doing the antic of distributing the teaching writings and textbooks by which the Korean people can receive the blessing of Heaven, the source of blessing that can be left as the crystal of toil — if the people who opposed even that oppose again, their situation becomes a wasteland. (Hoon Dok continues: I wish that the blessing of God, the King of kings, be with you and your families and your nation. Thank you.)
I wish that the blessing of God, the King of kings, be with you. It is a story that, saving you, I will go together. It is not that Chairman Moon means to forsake you and go. I have said all my words and made the proclamation, but what becomes of the result of the proclamation, the declaration of the presiding judge?
If one is judged according to the standard of the penal code, one cannot but go that path, but this is the proclamation judged at God's court of trial, stricter than that.
The point is, please remember that I have announced the proclamation, like a testament.
Go to that world. When it is applied that way, you will say, “Ah, what Chairman Moon taught is a fact, all rightly taught!” Will you oppose it at that time? At that time, even opposing it does not do.
If one opposes, one is moved to another world and goes the path of eternal parting, on which there is no path to return without doing repentance, with endless tears, several dozen or several hundred times over.
So, drifting about in the air like a cloud, what becomes of one?
The cloud that gives rain is mottled, but the white cloud floating high vanishes without rain.
When spring comes, billowing clouds can rise, but at that time you must know that, going to that high place in the air, the clouds that, attached like the scales of a fish, covered the sky all vanish, no rain comes, and upon the earth the gallows of judgment are waiting. Now the religious era passes. From now on, I will not speak. Because there is a book, study with the book.
One Must Become a Tribal Messiah
The sound of my voice is being recorded in several hundred nations, and when it is recorded that way, the intelligence offices know at once where it is. But henceforth, anyone must live in a place where one does not know my circumstances.
The more one knows my circumstances, the more one repents and weeps aloud. One is busy just putting one's own place in order. One enters a time of not even thinking about oneself, but putting oneself in order.
So, one must become the tribal messiah of one's own kin. The point is that the blessed people, whoever they may be, must teach the 430-volume teaching materials.
If one teaches that, centering on the Message one has been laughing at and assessing until now, in place of God, in place of the True Parents, one must put in sincere devotion a hundred times, a thousand times over, and shed heartfelt tears. Without that, there is no path of return. If one goes to that world, one is moved to the world of another star.
The people who have opposed until now must go to a star-world shining like the sun and be educated and must pass through a path of suffering several dozen or several hundred times over until the amount they can indemnify is filled. Unless one does so, one vanishes. One vanishes. The point is that one vanishes just as the cloud vanishes in winter. So I, too, am solemn.
There are such booklets. The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage came out, and World Scripture — Volumes 1 and 2 came out, and Volume 3 is all done, so it will come out if only published.
Among the World Scripture, in the first one, less than 15 percent of my words went in. In this one, it is 49 percent, and in the last one, the content of the Unification Church scripture adds up to over 74 percent. One must study all that and keep its content.
Cheon Seong Gyeong people, centering on sixteen items, is a document that teaches the secret of my cultivating the Way from the age of sixteen. Looking here, everything about what kind of being God is comes out. The person who has not read it even once will feel bitter.
Some people read Cheon Seong Gyeong up to nineteen times, they say, but there will be people who have not read it even once. Is that a student, or what? The point is that not even paying tuition is one means to receive everything for free.
And one boasted of Chairman Moon, but that is a false boast. It is so because one does not even know well. It does not become content-bonded with oneself.
If one comes to know this, one knows all of what a member of the Unification Church is to do. This Message becomes a teacher wherever one goes. I, in the old days, had recited it all up to my dozen-some years, things like the Myeongsim Bogam, and you cannot know how I agonized to forget it. With the Thousand Character Classic too, if one knows only five chapters, one can unravel all the Way of all under heaven.
My granduncle was good at such things. My granduncle was a pastor and, at the same time, a teacher of teachers of Confucianism. About prophetic writings, there was nothing he did not know.
Such a person entered the seminary at thirty-eight and became a renowned pastor at forty-one. Centering on Deokseong-dong, Deokdal-myeon, Jeongju County, my grandfather Yun-guk was a renowned pastor in the five connected regions.
Anyone who wished to pass the civil examination had to learn from that grandfather how to write characters and about the prophetic writings. The place where one received that teaching was the village school I attended. At that training place, several dozen people studied all twelve months of the year, and they were invited to our house. Because my grandfather and granduncles, the three brothers, lived together, when a birthday or a memorable day came, the grandfathers brought them and introduced and boasted of me.
So a rumor spread that I was a genius and a blessed child who came holding the blessing of Heaven. I knew all about the Four Books and Three Classics, but I avoided using such words as far as possible in the Message of the Principle. The point is that I used nothing but Jesus's words.
This is the Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage, and the King of Peace, the God who governed night and day, and raised the Korean people. The God who came forth on the stage of judgment taught me to make the teaching materials.
The point is that the God of Night, who was present before, taught me. So I prophesied from the age of three.
Raise Your Sons and Daughters Well
The people here must all be over seventy! Since the girls of old have grown so old in age, how is it? I live as an old grandfather and am still nagging, so it is unpleasant to hear, is it not?
Though it is unpleasant to hear, henceforth you too must cross the difficult passes I have left to become like bamboo.
Where bamboo grows, there are joints. Knowing which of those joints one is crossing, one must raise the bamboo shoot to the end, over three years or seven years, and then go.
Only so does one know that after seven years it becomes a bamboo grove needed by human beings, and I hope you, too, do not lose the path by which one can so bear fruit, follow.
People from far places in Gangwon Province have come, and crossing the mountains and the rivers of Gangwon Province will be hard, so return safely without accident.
Return in peace, and I ask that you meet your wives and raise your children well. My remaining request is to raise your sons and daughters well.
You must put in sincere devotion several dozen times the sincere devotion I have put in toward you until now. Only when one puts in sincere devotion so that Gangwon Province can become a flower garden of fruit from which the fragrance of people can waft, do I regard that those mountains and streams can feel the reward of having raised and guarded Korea. I hope you will educate well so that the people of later generations can become the owners.
