The one standing here has long awaited a gathering such as this, where we can celebrate as we do today. There may be some I am meeting for the first time, but the people who, behind history, love this world and heaven and earth have long looked forward to a place such as this being realized.
1. Both a Word of Testament and a Word of Proclamation to Be Left to the Final Humanity
This place called Daegu is a place I cannot forget. Since you are all younger people than I, I hope you will know that much work awaits you, more than for me, and come to hold a hope that you can bear it.
Even crossing beyond ninety years and the last cord of the second life, even going to that world, I declare, together with a promise, that I will not forget such a thought.
You must remember that what I speak in this place is both a word of testament and a word of proclamation to be left to humanity for the last time. In that sense — grave, of high standard, in the midst of quiet, an unbroken flow that winds around your mind and body and winds around the family, the nation, the world, and God in Heaven, attending Him — how must one make the record of history at one focal point? I would be grateful if you would receive it as my proclaiming the declaration to be left together with my destiny.
There are parts of that content that must be explained, but emphasizing the fact that, if you think deeply, you can know such content too, I give this Message, which is like a declaration, today in Daegu.
To this Daegu, which spoke of Daegu, Daegu, and which opposed, saying Daegu, Daegu, I hope you will be the front-runners in crossing the rise of blessing and opening the door of happiness, and I will introduce the Message, hoping for a future in which you leave a record as forerunners.
When one thinks of this place of Daegu as the standard foundation of the whole cosmos, a Message of broad and high content will begin. (True Father reads aloud the lecture text titled “The Settlement of the Abel UN and the Completion of Cheon Il Guk Are in Korea”: ……The Seonghwa ceremony is this holy and sublime a rite. It is because it is the first step of returning to and attending God's bosom and going to enjoy eternal life. It is a time when one should tremble and be more excited at heart than a bride comes to marry.
It is yours, occurring only once in the eternal world. It is not another's. It is yours. How precisely you make it depends on the matter of your responsibility. (Reading continues: Therefore, humanity is now at a time when it must submit, in a humble posture, before the command of Heaven.
The point is that a fateful time has approached before us today when, following the guidance of the True Parents, who are conducting the Providence in the earthly realm as the substantial body of God, the King of kings, we must throw ourselves wholly into the remaining three years and make a life-or-death resolve. All the good spirits of the spirit world are mobilized in full and are running a step ahead of you…
Not knowing that they have come to the world of the descendants and are working so that it does not perish, because one cannot know unless someone like us lays the bridge by which one can pass through, working night and day without rest—that is why I am doing this. (Reading continues: You — God raised and prepared the Korean people through several thousand years. Two thousand years ago, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth, and you too will know well the history by which He sought to save humanity again through him. But the result ended all too wretchedly……)
2. I Survived Because God Protected Me
You must not forget that it has become possible to know that the ancestors in the spirit world came and cooperated. It has become possible to know, yet one lives not knowing. (He continues reading: The leaders of Judaism and the people of Israel, who should have accepted Jesus as the Messiah and gone the path of absolute faith and absolute obedience, rather drove him onto the path of the cross, did they not……?)
Jesus did not die of his own accord but was driven to death, was he not?
This is not a lie. The Christians — the Christians of Christianity, the representative religion that believes without knowing the world of faith, throughout the whole world — must come to their senses.

What I did not speak of and did not teach is that one cannot do double work. Because what I am to do remains, I will go and do it until that time, so there is no need to speak. Because I do not speak, on the contrary, there is a meaning of attending Heaven in a fearsome and dignified position. (Reading continues: Because it is a people that has attended such a God as its primordial ancestor, the soul of mutual living, mutual prosperity, and mutual righteousness is alive within the spirit and tradition of the Korean people. They are a chosen people in whom the vein of Hongik Ingan, the benefiting of all humanity, throbs, having kept a history of more than five thousand years without invading or plundering another's nation and people.
Further, within the history of Korea, the soul of filial piety, loyalty, and fidelity, which are the fundamental virtues of human life, is alive and breathing……)
So it is a fearsome people. You must not forget that, in the period of some twenty-odd years after the liberation, it is flying, holding the vigor to be able to step over and surpass the world's advanced nations. That is a miracle, a miracle!
What kind of miracle?
It is a miracle that cannot be told in words. (Reading continues: Such sublime traditions are not mere events that appeared in history by chance. They were the providence of the foundation for Heaven to prepare this people and to set up the Messiah upon that tradition……)
Because God protected Korea this way, it survived even from the ash heap where it could only perish. In a short span, in some seventeen years, it surpassed the world's advanced nations and entered among the twelve or thirteen nations, and when later it enters among the seven or eight nations, know that the era is not far off when, standing at the summit of the world's advanced nations, it can command them, Aju! (Applause.) (Reading continues: And so at last, riding the spirit of this Korean peninsula, the manifestation of Reverend Moon, who was sealed from Heaven as the True Parents of humanity and the King of Kings, was realized……)
It is not that Reverend Moon, being outstanding, became this way. It is what God prepared. (Applause.) Do not say Reverend Moon is bad.
If one becomes a people that says the God who prepared behind him is bad, one becomes a pitiful people. One must cross beyond that. Then those people will become people who can receive the blessing of Heaven and receive respect. (Reading continues: Respected distinguished guests, now the path humanity must walk has become certain……)
There is nothing to hesitate over. Whether a Buddhist monk or a believer of Islam, they are one band that must be wrapped in one bundle and loaded onto the moving cart; the point is, do not insist on a peculiar and independent line that escapes the fact that, dead or alive, it is the same path of destiny, and do not split into branches. I take all those people.
If they are not needed, I take them all. (Reading continues: With the D-day that Heaven has revealed through the True Parents set before us, what is there to hesitate over? On your long journey, the blessing of Heaven will be with you…
One does not know that. Korea should long since have vanished before becoming this much, but you must not forget the gallant figure of Korea, which has remained and is pioneering a clear and manifest path of destiny. (Reading continues: If one examines the flow of human history with a providential eye, the change of eras is broadly divided into three stages. The first is the era of the heart of material, that is, the era of the priority of material in a material-centered manner……)
Even objects have a heart. I thought only humans had hearts, you see. I thought objects had no heart, but there are many things of creation that are better than humans. Things like a dog or a horse know the eighth cousin. They do not mix carelessly. But the human being — what a sight he is. The point is that even objects have a heart. Animals know and serve their owner before anyone else.
Many things of creation have the heart to know by the sound of footsteps three hundred meters away whether their owner is coming and to come out and guard. (Reading continues: That is, please bear in mind, and bear in mind again, that the very era we live in today is the time that is opening the era of Cheon Il Guk, which returns to the heart (심정) of the one God……)
It is the one God; there are no two Gods. One must return to and cling to the heart of the one God. 3. One Must Not Go Forward by the Lunar Calendar Alone
It is the Yeong-Yeon-Se (靈聯世) Association, in which the spiritual world and the earthly world, the spirit world and the world, are connected.
(Reading continues: On this earth, elections of a secular dimension can no longer be seen, and through the exchange of Blessing marriage, humanity becomes one family and, enjoying an age of great peace and tranquility, comes to enjoy peace and happiness……)
Everywhere, all horizontally, the ear (耳) and the mouth (口) have become king (王). If one hears, one can answer at once and act. To be holy is to be holy.
If one has heard the word, if one has heard what sounds, one must act at once. That is why holiness, even if it gives an eye signal with the breath of Heaven, connects to holiness only when one acts. (Reading continues: Such a day now has only three years left……)
I do not know either. When I speak, it becomes as spoken, but I do not know what thunderbolt will fall, what thing will happen, three years from now. I, too, am afraid. (Reading continues: As one part of preparing for that day, I proclaimed to all under heaven the departure of the “Heavenly Calendar” this past February 14……) Stop the solar calendar! One must not but go forward by the lunar calendar alone. Why is that? Centering on the earth, the moon turning a full circle and the tide rising and falling have no relation to the solar calendar. They center on the lunar calendar.
The twenty-four solar terms of the lunar calendar fit exactly. (Reading continues: As one part of preparing for that day, I proclaimed to all under heaven the departure of the “Heavenly Calendar” this past February 14……) I proclaimed it, and the Western people stayed quiet. They should have thronged in with clubs, saying they would beat Chairman Moon to death, you see.
In New York and at the UN headquarters too, it was still quiet. Why was that? They said, “That person has spoken many words that could be so, and having believed all the unbelievable things and found that the prophecy fit, we must watch and wait even now.”
Korean people, do not watch and wait. The point is, how much did they deceive with lies and struggle desperately to kill Chairman Moon? Even so, Chairman Moon did not perish. While they were struggling desperately, Chairman Moon was flying about, soaring. (Reading continues: The existing solar and lunar calendars will now, from the position of Cain and Abel, play a role in assisting the “Heavenly Calendar,” which newly records and clearly indicates the Providence……)
The point is to watch and wait to see whether such things fit or not. Daegu! Yes. Are you dead people or living people? Living people. The point is that living people should not only oppose but also watch and find out. To this Daegu, which the Unification Church dislikes because Daegu opposed it, having come to Daegu and spoken only words useful to Daegu, how would the people of Daegu die? Do not die.
Even if one catches a fatal illness, attaching a cord and saving you, if you cross just one rise, two rises, three rises more, a path to live comes out. Do not be discouraged. (Reading continues: Now you must live a life of carving Reverend Moon's teaching into your bones and practicing it. There is no room for choice. It is because, if you do not prepare from now, you will surely become a straggler.
We, too, must learn the courage and spirit of the demoiselle crane, which crosses back and forth over the Himalaya range of more than seven thousand meters and winters there…
4. A Testament for Humanity
Reverend Moon announced for the first time the courage and spirit of the demoiselle crane, which winters while crossing the Himalayan range of more than seven thousand meters. It is recorded in the encyclopedia that he announced it in 1984. Because I did it, I cannot help but point it out as an important event. (Reading continues: Reverend Moon has already prepared and left a testament for humanity……)
Today's Message was not spoken as the leader of some passing rally. I began, saying, “It is a proclamation as a testament concerning the life of Chairman Moon.” (Reading continues: It is a testament prepared by being victorious even while undergoing the hardship of prison, crossing back and forth over life and death six or seven times in a lifetime. As eternal teaching materials for humanity, he left eight kinds of books. “Reverend Sun Myung Moon's Collected Speeches”……)
This is not what I wrote; the collected speeches were written that way. It is not that Chairman Moon, saying “Reverend Sun Myung Moon's Collected Speeches,” is praising himself. Because it was written that way, I read it that way too. It is the Message collection, and how much is that? It exceeds twelve hundred volumes.
It is an amount that an ordinary person could die without reading even half of in a lifetime, so that one will surely come to great trouble by opposing Chairman Moon without reading, even though one knows it is a matter of course.
So, the point is that one must come to one's senses and, not opposing but welcoming day and night, say, “Let us live together with Chairman Moon.” Only by building a fortress of brick and saying, “Let us live together,” can Daegu not perish. (Reading continues: “Exposition of the Divine Principle,” “Cheon Seong Gyeong,” “Family Pledge,” “Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong,” “True Family, the Gate to Heaven,” “The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage,” “World Scripture”……)
World Scripture has a history of being made into Volumes 1 and 2, centering on the scriptures of the world's religions, so any world-class scholar must read it, and there is no one not concerned with its content. (Reading continues: These are the eight kinds of books. These textbooks are books you must read and study even after entering the spirit world…
Why is that? When Chairman Moon too comes forth and speaks not knowing, and is then asked, my mouth speaks. When I quietly listen, what I said that way is a splendid answer, yet I did not answer because an unbelievable answer came out of my mouth. I know that it is not my word. Hearing and learning, learning and finding out—it is astonishing. It is fearsome beyond compare. I fear my own words.
So one cannot live carelessly. (Reading continues: You must now first establish the tradition of the Hoon Dok Hae centering on your family……) The mother and father, while living, must now thoroughly teach the textbooks and teaching writings. The point is, do not lie.
The point is, do not lose the position of parent by deceiving and doing all manner of toying. As the parents of the family, standing in place of the dignified, authoritative True Parents of Heaven, you must embrace your children and teach them the circumstances.
I did not teach you idly, in a slack manner. Because they know I taught while shedding blood and sweat, they respect me more than any teacher. That is why, receiving all manner of persecution, I crossed even the deadly straits, not of eight or nine stages but up to thirty stages.
This time, the Cheonan ship incident occurred, and the death of some hundred people of the UN too is precisely at this time. Why is that? Because God means to open the path Chairman Moon will walk, strange situations inevitably keep breaking out.
Because Heaven tells Chairman Moon to grasp that, use it as material for educating, teach the ignorant human beings, and open their eyes, I am teaching this. Click, click. I teach what era it is.
So, listening to my words, they seem a bright-red lie, but in passing, what happens? Chairman Moon does not speak again. Once it has passed, because it is finished, the point is that he does not speak. He forgets. In the course of history, I fulfilled many prophecies, but I forgot them. The members of our Unification Church, too, have all lived forgetting it, with no one who remembers it. Because they are comfortable, they have lived that way. Doing so, coming to the last station, there is nothing.
So where does a naked person go? One is busy. (Reading continues: It is to establish the tradition in which one family, three generations, as it begins a new day, first does Hoon Dok of the Word of Heaven and, with a new mind, practices a life of Hoon Dok. It is to make a world in which the spirit world and the physical world, simultaneously attending the True Parents, do Hoon Dok of the same Word of the heavenly way. When this happens, however much Satan rides upon your lineage and stirs, before the tradition of the Hoon Dok Hae, his place to stand vanishes……)
5. A Life of Settlement at Noon
Satan cannot enter, ride upon the sons and daughters, and work them. Why is that? It is because the history by which one can go thoroughly from the individual to the ends of Heaven is recorded clearly, in detail, and minutely. (Reading continues: If God's blessing does not descend upon such a family, which lives a life without shadow at the standard of settlement at noon, to whom would He give it……?)
Because there is only Chairman Moon, and because there is only the Unification Church, the Unification Church receives all the blessings. This is reality. Concerning this reality, let the person who opposes the dignified Reverend Moon stand up and oppose.
If I ask a question, he cannot say even three words and sits back down. I am that dignified a person. (Reading continues: I am confident that this book, no less than the Hoon Dok textbooks and teaching materials, is a book that shows the life of true truth at a demonstrable dimension, and I commend it to you……)
Why is that? They are pitiful, those Daegu people. If, even tomorrow, they do not read this and do as it says, where will the Daegu people go? Where will their descendants go? There is nowhere to go. The point is that they can only all vanish. (Reading continues: Please read closely once more this record of true love, which contains without addition or subtraction the life I have walked for ninety years following the heavenly mandate, and receive a great awakening……)
Chairman Moon is a grateful person. What happens if one reads this book? The point is that ordinary people must weep, not once every three months, but once every three days for several months. Even having read it, they keep forgetting, you see. The more one reads it, ten times, twenty times, the more tears come.
When I hear a report of how many times someone wept, I do not rejoice. It is a solemn and sorrowful fact. (Reading continues: I said that the life of settlement at noon is a life that makes no shadow. If all of us become light-emitting bodies and live a life of giving light, there is no gap for a shadow to form…
Even into the cracks of a rock, sunlight enters, air enters, and water, too, having adhesive force, goes up and down. (Reading continues: The one who receives is the one who incurs debt. All of you must now wipe the tears of the pitiful and the poor… The point is that not only I but you, in my stead, must hold such a mind and go to the pitiful people of that region and wipe their tears. Because the debt was given, the debt must be paid. (Reading continues: Please live a life that has become the light-emitting body of eternal true love, brightening dark places……)
Having come to Daegu too, I hope for that. How grateful, how grateful! If one says, “Oh dear, dear, it is my love (이지요),” one perishes. When one says, “It is my love (이지고)!” the point is that one means to lift and attend God's throne. Because it is “jigo,” is it not, most high? It is “Oh dear, dear, it is my love (이지고)!” and “jigo” can also mean to forgive and erase.
