Now, the teacher has attended God and walked through the entire number of Indemnity (탕감). The five stages — the individual era, the family era, the tribal era, the national era, the state era — are now divided into halves, the era of the left hand and the era of the right hand.
Centering on the number five, all ridges are crossed over. That boundary line must be crossed. The teacher must walk through and cross over every number of Indemnity that was required by history.
Conforming to the Total Number, Indemnity Has Been Completed
The teacher himself, from boyhood through young manhood and middle age, has now come to old age and has settled the program by which he can go to the spirit world. For this reason, by December 23 of last year — just before Christmas — Teacher had to bring his portion of responsibility to completion and proclaim it.
Going to Las Vegas for the nineteenth time and returning, I completed every number of Indemnity, from the ground upward through the realm of the air down to the landing.
Coming from Las Vegas to Korea, centering on the intermediate regions of the Kamchatka Peninsula and Japan, even up into the realm of the air, I drove Satan out and established the condition of victory.
Even on arriving here, I have continued that work without a single day's rest. It was done by conforming to the total number. You do not know the law of Indemnity, but the Teacher, since he must not be caught by any condition of Indemnity, has indemnified without missing a single thing.
In the providential era, Teacher took responsibility for close to five hundred proclamations — and within them, Teacher himself must not leave any condition.
By 4:25, all of that was indemnified. Until 4:25, I prayed the prayer for crossing the number five.
The left hand alone, by anyone, will not do. The left wing has asserted the absolute left, but Heaven has not been able to assert the absolute right. Only the teacher has asserted it. The communist world is not merely words.
Reactionary elements, they purge. Disposing of them so that not even the shadow of a reactionary remains is the disposal method of communism. Along with judgment, they bury people alive.
God has come forth until now in the plight of imprisonment (영어). Because he has not been able to become the master of the bloodline, what has He been doing in that imprisonment from which to escape? After the human ancestors fell, until now God has been as one serving in prison. Though it was not literally a prison, He could not enter within the realm centered upon God's Word. Because the bloodline was defiled, it became a different world.
Originally, it should have turned this way, but Eve seized Adam and turned the opposite way. It should have turned this way, but the woman went up and turned it like this. That must be set right. From the era of Adam through the era of Jesus to the era of the Second Advent — the law of Indemnity for the six thousand years — you do not know. It is because you were born of Satan's bloodline. The teacher is the only one who knows it.
How did the teacher come to know it?
Although Eve fell, God embraced Teacher and raised him. What makes Korea different from other countries? Korea is a nation that attends God, a nation that came into being under God's guidance — you did not know this. There are no other people in any nation of the world that have grown as a people knowing only one Master. There are no such people but the Korean people.
Mankind Made Enemies by Satan's Bloodline
Beginning from the Heaven-Opening Day of October 3, 2001, Teacher has drawn out a total summing-up of his life over a period of thirteen years and is coming forth according to that pattern.
So, 2001 is, centering on six thousand years, the starting point of the three thousand years that can meet the seven thousand years. Calculating man and woman together, it becomes six thousand years.
The records centering on the six thousand years of man and woman must be brought to a close within thirteen years, within the lifetime of the Teacher. What Adam was unable to take responsibility for must be resolved within the teacher's lifetime.
Because God had had the bloodline seized away by Satan, He has come forth seeking that bloodline. January 13, 2013, is our D-day. Within thirteen years, Teacher will clean it all away completely.
Until now, even when God was raising Teacher, Satan was before God. God was behind, being managed and protected by God within Satan's realm of dominion. It has not yet been a time in which we could act as we pleased without Satan.
Why? Because the world of the bloodline did not begin with God. You must know this. That you can call God Father, that you can long for the Heavenly Kingdom — these were not possible even in a dream. The bloodline was changed. Heaven goes up, and Satan's bloodline goes down.
So Teacher was born before God as a son who could perfect Adam and set out at age seventeen. If the teacher does not settle this within the thirteen years, it is extended forever.
Mankind, becoming enemies to one another with atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs and fighting, self-destructs. Overall, even one's own sons and daughters become enemies.
The father is the enemy, the daughter is the enemy, and the wife is the enemy.
Centering on the family, centering on the kin — they are all the offspring of the enemy. They do not know their parents and do not know their family. The bloodlines of the father and mother are all different.
Satan's bloodline is an absolute severance. Even Adam and Eve could not meet.
After Adam fell, he could not even face Eve. From such a position, one must be drawn out — and since Eve did wrong, even though Eve could not be held responsible, God takes responsibility for Adam. Up to age seventeen, Adam was preserved.
The standard by which life is propagated, centering on the family ideal of love that comes after age seventeen, Satan touches; but up to seventeen, before Adam's Fall, he cannot touch it.
Passing fifteen, even a day or two of going by, sets up the number. Once at fifteen, having passed one and two, once it reaches the number three, one enters the time-sphere where God can guide. That world Satan cannot dominate.
Your inner self and your body have been split. Eve, joined with the archangel's body, had her bloodline connected to his. So the world of mind, though it could not be invaded, became God's possession, but the body, being within Satan's sphere, became the basis upon which individuals, families, tribes, and people were formed.
At last, the assertion of free sex comes, but centering on that, no human being can tread upon the concave and the convex and cross over. Because incestuous relations come into play, even the animal world cannot belong to Heaven.
Until now, people have lived not knowing such a stifling result. Who is the one who knew it? Heaven-raised Teacher.
The Korean people have passed through an eight-thousand-year history, but within those eight thousand years, they did not reach the stage of perfection that could attend God. That is the problem. The origin that can attend God must be connected.
What was severed from the Fall of Adam and Eve at age seventeen — Teacher, becoming seventeen, joined it back together. It is what Jesus appeared and did.
The family of Adam could not do it, the responsible figures of the nation could not, and the responsible figures of the world could not.
In the era of the Second Advent, Christianity, centering on the Old and New Testaments, came forth opposing the Unification Church. Saying, “The Unification Church is a band doing away with the Old and New Testaments,” they tried to bury us completely. Teacher, in the place where the bloodline was defiled and severed at sixteen, came out from there having married at seventeen, and since all of the satanic world was the enemy, they could not leave Teacher alone. Across the board, the people of heaven and earth, hell, and everywhere are opposed.
The grade of perfection is thirty-four percent, up to age thirty-four.
Even if Jesus did not establish sovereignty within that period, he could not have proceeded. From age twenty-seven through 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 — up to age thirty-three — it was seven years. After year eight, he could have received liberation, but he did not cross over it. Until now, even to dream of crossing it was impossible, because nobody knew.
Chobu-deuksam—One Does Not Get It on the First Try
How can what is turning backwards be set right? Until now, because no one knew the method, it could not be set right. God knew the method, but the road that would have been walked had Adam not fallen. He could not teach. Had He taught that road, Satan would have snatched it up instantly and killed off all of God's sons and daughters. Because Satan dominated up to three-fifths of family, tribe, people, nation, and world, God came forth, centering on the remaining two-fifths.
At the growth stage, it became evening and entered the season of night. The Bible says, “And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day”; that “first day” had to be sought within three days.
So what must you know?
Having been driven out from the satanic world, to recover that world, what must be done? One must not be caught at this ridge. One must not be caught at the four joints, and must not be caught at the three stages.
If on day one one is caught there, one cannot even move. One's body cannot be moved. Being so confined in the prison centered on Satan's bloodline, who can draw you out? Not even God can.
Then who does it?
Only True Parents, since they know the method, can do the turning back. Because God let it be, Eve came to inherit Lucifer's bloodline, and that Eve dominated Adam and turned everything upside down.
So — chobu-deuksam (初不得三, “one does not get it on the first try”). What should have been this way became that way, so it must be turned back. Until Adam had perfected himself, God could not teach or even lay a hand on him.
After age seventeen, inheriting God's bloodline and perfecting marriage from age eighteen, in seven years, he was to have borne and raised sons and daughters. The human being knows absolutely nothing of all this. It is utter ignorance. However much one prays, God cannot teach it.
When Teacher came of age, from seventeen until before crossing twenty-four, he knew that he must marry from age twenty-one. Centering on the blood of false life, the road of true life, and every ideal — the bundle of God's ideal — was all buried in the ground.
Who was the one who did wrong?
It was not Eve who did wrong. Adam failed to fulfill his portion of responsibility. That is the portion of responsibility.
Do you know how important the portion of responsibility is?
If Adam, facing Eve, had said, “You wretched woman! With that fallen body, you would turn upside down the tradition of love?” and kicked her out with his foot and drove her away. What would have happened? Then, since Eve had been created after Adam, Eve could have been made again.
When Teacher was seventeen, there were many who came visiting to make him their son-in-law. They said their daughter was the most beautiful in all the world, the beauty among beauties.
When I tried to look at such people, my eyes shut of their own accord. When the teacher reached seventeen, he knew completely what the Principle is and the road he had to walk. He knew, “My bride must be such-and-such,” and held it as absolute.
One Who Can Liberate God
Even Jesus had to choose his wife for himself.
The Father had to choose. Even in the era of the Second Advent, Teacher could not, of his own will, choose and set up his counterpart. When God Himself comes forth and chooses, one cannot, disliking it, kick out with the foot or treat with contempt and say, “I cannot.” One cannot.
If one does, one goes to the place of death. One falls into a coma. From within that coma, without knowing it oneself, one must proclaim — so that all the surrounding people hear — “I will be married!”
When a beauty comes and sits astride and lets the convex meet and says, “Use force!” — If one uses force, one falls. One must cross such a test as a matter of course. They thought that the Teacher of the Unification Church could be tempted with money and beauty. By no means.
In Germany, through a German woman; in France, through a French woman; in England, through an English woman — they tempted me. One cannot entrust one's body to such things.
When a woman comes into the bedding under which a man sleeps, one cannot lay a hand on her, cannot kiss her. Some say it is fine so long as the threshold is not crossed and those who touch and do all sorts of things, but there is no such law. The teacher has never taught such a law and has never been party to it — this you must know.
In that sense, anyone who has held a woman's wrist, written a love letter, or embraced her neck and kissed her, however high a position he may occupy, must turn around and step back.
For those who, having received the Blessing, have been caught up in the matter of women, the method of disposition is fully known. Because the mind that cannot be forgotten eternally is alive, even after going to the spirit world, such people must be gathered and prayed for again, and the road opened for them. They must enter the bottom of hell and endure and wait seven years, seventy years, seven hundred years, or even seven thousand years.
When the time at last is exceeded, in the spirit world, they are educated again and registered into the royal-family sphere of the original Heavenly Kingdom, and at ninety-eight percent, scarcely one out of a hundred remains. That difficulty is the road. The teacher too crossed that road on which he could not help but fall, and so you must know how he has come to today's position.
The teacher, to set the Principle in such a position, completed the original text before coming here this time. From now on, if you commit these words to memory and put them into practice, the guarantee has been made that one bears the responsibility of being able to keep what the Teacher has instructed.
Even if a history of several thousand years passes by, because the Teacher lives as the protagonist of this title, even among descendants of your kin hundreds of millions of years from now, if a wrong bloodline is left in this place, they go to hell.
When those who go to hell exceed ten and reach several twelve thousand, it becomes a condition by which President Moon, who would be their ancestor, can again be called to account.
When one hears from God, “What should be done? It would seem they ought to disappear…” — One must not say, “Do as God's will!” God thinks even of giving life to one who is to die and of sweeping away the gate of hell.
Watching what President Moon does and following him, even God can cross the ridge. He can liberate God. That even God must be liberated — this is the teacher's responsibility, and you must understand it.
It was from 3:30 to 4:15. At 4:57, with three minutes to spare, I came in, and on arriving here, one minute remained. When the word came, “Up until then — until one minute before — I will forgive, but one minute after, I cannot lay down a law of forgiveness. What will you do?” — I said, “Understood.”
When the teacher prayed here, exactly at 5:00, he proclaimed it. Having fulfilled all that the left hand wished for, only God, who can be pleased by the right hand, remains. Satan has disappeared, and only God remains.
Now is the time to dispose of education centering on God — and it is not for the teacher to intervene; with this textbook, God intervenes.
Teacher, having finished the ceremony of marshaling forth the textbook, has watched over it; so even for your descendants for ten thousand generations, ten million generations, a system must be made by which they can become masters of this Word, keep it, and cross over.
Even if it brings hardship to mothers and fathers, even if ten people of one family must die on the cross, unless one has the family system that can cross over this, neither the first family will remain, nor the citizens of the second nation, nor the royal-family sphere of the third Heavenly Kingdom. That is an iron rule.
Even if the teacher goes to the spirit world, this book is alive. Whoever cannot do exactly as it says is dropped. By that condition, the permission before God was wholly received this morning.
Since the inner whispered words of True Parents have all been heard, and even photographs taken, when Satan — the third party — comes, the word will be, “You also heard this, didn't you? Do you know?” “I know.” “Then you must go this way — why do you appear here?” — and he must vanish. He vanishes cleanly without opposition. Even by the words of the textbook and scripture alone, he is driven out beyond seven mountains.
The teacher is at once good but also the most fearful of men.
Since I entrust to you this textbook and text and tell you to take responsibility for the education of your children, do it. Those who will do so — when I close my eyes — raise your hands and applaud, and then say, “We will offer it before God,” and lower your hands. (Applause.)
Devote Your Loyal Heart, Centering on the Textbook and the Scripture
Look here. You must attend the Parents ' event, even if you have to sell your wife, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, and even the queen of the nation — eight generations of women centered on Cain and Abel.
By what standard must a teacher be held accountable?
Even if you wished to attend Teacher now, he is not on this earth. The time to go is pressing.
Do you know how difficult it is, having divided sons and daughters between the spirit world and the physical world, to make them one and dominate them?
Because that is the worry, I extend an hour, extend a day; but with the heart of a thousand-year repentance, how can one extend one, two, or three years and proceed?
Who is to carry through that final closing campaign of the Teacher, who must walk that law and go? No one can. The teacher must carry out that drama to the end. Because I know this, until now I have kept silent. That I have done this work without an answer and have come this far is not a lie but a fact.
Since the Parents are so, if, more than the Parents, you do not have, in your family, an environment in which sons and daughters can attend to them so they may rest, are you not Blessed Families who cannot stand before Heaven? Knowing this, please greet this day of February 1.
You already gave the applause first! To put into practice the promises you have made, exert every strength, and if there comes a time when you can no longer go on, since there are sons and daughters in the Unification Church, take hold of them and tell them your circumstances.
If they say they will save you in exchange for their life, you can be released. That can happen only twice. There is no third time. If there were a third, even God would disappear.
Knowing that you are under such a fearful rule of law, devote your loyal heart to the textbook and the scripture that the Teacher leaves behind. You must know that even toward all things, you must become the ancestor of that heart (심정). When one catches a fish, one must shed tears. That is how I have lived.
Then, how high is the final fortress wall you must cross?
Since you cannot easily cross what the Parents have crossed, you need not go all the way to that ridge. From the seventy-percent slope, settle everything and follow as the dead. I teach you, even to the conclusion, that there is no road but this.
After the solar New Year has passed, from the lunar first day of the first month through the 13th and the 20th, the difficult matters that must be set in order must be counseled and taught to your sons and daughters.
You, too, must prepare so as not to be caught by our sons and daughters, and unless the resolve is set to follow even at several times the labor, this ridge cannot be crossed; otherwise, I notify you, it is difficult to cross.
Those who are not Unification Church Blessed Families, but live as ordinary families of the world, come after twenty years. By then, they may be forgiven. But if they die before the twenty years, all is finished. There is no forgiveness. The ridge must be crossed where one cannot, at one's pleasure, add or subtract even an inch. Do you understand? “Yes.”
When your families cross over everything, set the conditions, and live by this textbook and text as if by a constitution, then the road by which you can participate together with the sons and daughters of the Unification Church will be permitted. From now on, the road of your life, the road you must walk, you yourselves must adorn to make it shine.
The Parents have cooperated and made that road for you. They have shown you everything. Then those who again resolve, “I cannot but go that way. I will go" — close your eyes and welcome them with applause. (Applause.)
The Road of Indemnity in Which Not an Inch Can Be Disregarded
So, the book for Hoon Dok is Volume 4 of the Collected Sermons. Crossing into the fourth, one can go to the fifth ridge. One can say goodbye to the left wing. In Volume 4, the road by which you can proceed hereafter has been shown.
Until now, I had thought I had taught everything, and indeed I have truly taught everything. The teacher has not lied. Now listen.
Think that you are crossing the fourth ridge. What page is it? “Page 26.” Bear in mind that you have begun to set out toward the fifth ridge and listen. It is not always possible for the teacher to hold Hoon Dok Hae.
The teacher has grandchildren on the daughter's side, and great-grandchildren on the daughter's side will come into being; since you cannot educate them, I must leave the program of the Third Era that I must take responsibility for educating before I go.
I must visit the relatives' houses, and if there are loyal subjects and righteous heroes of the nation, I must roam over the mountains and rivers of Korea to find the conditions of commendation by which they can be commemorated. You must know how grave God's responsibility is.
So that God will not be caught upon these mountains and rivers, the land and possessions of those of meritorious service must be set aside as separate property and deposited in the bank.
So if the pitiable ones who died while within the will, their funerals must be conducted; if some sons and daughters could not be educated, their educational expenses must be supported. The time to prepare such deposit funds is choking my throat.
It is not only a matter of your sons and daughters. Not only for the tenth or twentieth generation, but for ten thousand generations of descendants, the property must remain.
If you do not leave even a penny there with devotion, you will be recorded as one who has dropped out.
Knowing that such a fearful era is shearing me through, and hoping that you will not be caught by it, I will begin Hoon Dok Hae. “It is page 26 of Volume 4 of the Collected Sermons. The title is 'Let Us Not Lose the Resolve That Faces Heaven.'”
Just so, that is the very thing! It is the very word needed to cross today's ridge. You must know that it is the road of Indemnity in which not even an inch can be disregarded. Do as the ignorant, dim-witted bear or the dull wild boar.
The wild boar bores holes in fortress walls. It bores a hole beneath the wall and makes a road. Mestwaegi (wild boar)! Wild boar — does it not mean “to become” (된다)? Because dwaeji (pig) sounds like “to become,” it means “it can be done.” Remember even such words. Such things are not idle remarks in passing. “It is a message given on February 23, 1958.”
February 23, isn't it! 23 is an odd number, not even. Originally, it should have been from the morning of the 13th, but it is from the evening through the forenoon of the 14th. Solar January 13 cannot be cast aside. Even if the era of the solar calendar is cut off, the solar calendar has no way to complain.
So one crosses over it. From today, it is the beginning of the lunar reckoning. We walk from the very first step. Remember how proud and rewarding a historic mark this is, and please bring your lifetime to a close, not forgetting this day.
Anyone who proceeds, not forgetting this, even if he does not come to where the Teacher is, will surely be sought and brought in. It is a truly astonishing fact. (Beginning of Hoon Dok of the message titled “Let Us Not Lose the Resolve That Faces Heaven” from Volume 4 of the Collected Sermons of Reverend Sun Myung Moon: “Among you gathered today, there may be those who hold a certain resolve in your heart. There may also be those who can stand before others and assert with confidence, 'My resolve is right.'
But now you must consider for whom your resolve is. That is, you must consider whether the resolve you hold is for yourself alone, or whether it is a resolve that can be for you and the people, or the world, and beyond that, even for God…”) That is the right word. From the very introduction, it is precisely the right word.
How is it that the words spoken more than fifty years ago are reissued (재판) just as they are for what must be said this morning? Considering this, let no one churn up at his pleasure the historical process that cannot be measured and conclude it.
Whoever churns it up at his pleasure and concludes it has no relation to God or to the Kingdom of Heaven.
In Place of a Teacher, You Must Convey the Word to Christians
(Continuing Hoon Dok: “Now, knowing such a fact, we have something to find even if we must search every corner of the universe. That is none other than God's resolve. We must find it and bring it to fulfillment. And thus we must dissolve the sorrow and grief that God has held in His heart.
For that reason, we today, centering on this will, must hold the resolve, the assertion of conviction, and the determination to stand in a process of great revolution. Only then can we resolve God's sorrow.
God, unknown to us, has walked the laborious historical process to make known to the people of this earth the will He resolved upon…”) That message the teacher spoke when he was young. Now he has become a man of ninety.
Now that he has become a grandfather, you must know how earnestly he lives, weighing the connections of relations and bloodline, with concern for the ten thousand generations of his descendants.
It is not a matter of the present but a matter of history. Even one's own lifetime, the history of seventy or eighty years of living, is connected to the historical fact of the Master God, whose history never breaks off eternally. “I, too, must continue within the realm of God's history” — that is a natural conclusion, and it is unmistakable that this is what must be praised.
How can the content that could be spoken today be drawn out from fifty years ago and presented anew to you today? That if one is not utterly one with this, it will not do, is the solemn answer of God, the answer of Teacher, the answer of you.
(Continuing Hoon Dok)“It is because, since there were people who did not uphold the will of Jesus, the Holy Spirit was made to labor; and because the Christian believers of today, the second Israel type that did not uphold the will of the Holy Spirit, made many apostles labor; and not only the apostles, but also our many forefathers were made to labor.
Because we are today the ones who have made them so laborious, if we do not possess the heart and the resolve that Jesus possessed, we cannot stand with face upheld before God, and we cannot stand with face upheld before Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Moreover, before the saints who, up to this time, have piled up countless altars of sacrifice, we cannot stand with face upheld…”)
From today onward, whether your brothers and sisters have entered the established churches or some religious or ideological group, you must go there and be able to teach. Those participants — you must counsel them so that they follow as fellow workers, as your own elder brothers, younger siblings, or kin. There is no time. The time that remains is short.
It is the content the teacher has spoken about for over twenty years, but because the teacher had to complete the responsibility of Christianity and the mission-bound responsibility of Jesus, he has weighed it forward and backward in advance. In the past, it met with opposition, but now you must teach it again with all devotion and offer it as a good gift to be handed over to their kin.
Unless, in place of Teacher, you sound forth the Word and stir hearts before them, to form a band that follows, the mission-bound responsibility for Christianity will not be connected to you.
Are You a Self Who Can Be Welcomed in the Spirit World?
The teacher is helpless. He wishes once more to give life to those who have opposed in the past — yet if they still oppose him, you must know that even the Returning Lord may withdraw his hand forever and raise a third party and open up the road.
(Continuing Hoon Dok: “Now, because the time has come to build the Garden of Restoration, even if amid a thousand torments my body is torn and my bones are reduced to powder, for the sake of this one will of the heavenly law, I must be able to say, 'Father, ten thousand thousand saints in the spirit world! Work!' The people of Israel could not mobilize the spirit world, but the time has come when we must mobilize the spirit world. For that reason, there is for you the cooperation of the spirit world. Our members must…the spirit people of the spirit world…”)
When you enter the spirit world, at each age, the spirit people of thousands of years past — centering on the periods in which Jesus was raised on this earth and the Returning Lord was raised on this earth — what do they do at each step?
From the position of the sphere of the ten generations, they guide you to the gate of entry into the Heavenly Kingdom. At that time, you must present the mark of victory.
When asked, you must be able to answer. While all of them welcome you with congratulations, what will happen if you have not become a self that can be welcomed? If you have no connection with the welcoming party that you can advance before, you must stay seated there.
If you sit down there, you fall backwards.
Until now, the ones who, working in this orderly way, were raised by God and sent forth — those who were victorious in each era — are waiting; and if you have not done the responsibility for the era to which you belong, you cannot cross over, cannot pass through. Unable to pass through, you must step back. Then what becomes of you? Who will do it for you? Will your husband do it, or your own wife? If the parents fail, the wife too is caught, and the children too are caught.
If you stand in the victorious, sovereign position, alive, having done the mission-bound responsibility of Jesus and the Returning Lord, when you pass that place, there will be welcoming guests who will vouch for you, console you, and encourage you. But what if you cannot pass through there, cannot cross that position? What will happen to those who were standing there? It is for this reason that the text and the textbook have been made.
Heaven educates from that textbook and text at the same time. While the teacher is keeping this very hour, they too are studying.
If you yourself are absent here, the form of that absence will be revealed — what will you do? That is not an environment unrelated to you. The environment directly related to me unfolds in the Heavenly Kingdom.
Consider: when, in Heaven, the one charged with the responsibility of letting the victorious sovereign ones pass welcomes me — but I am not in a position to cross that environment and win — what will happen? Will “Teacher, help me!” do? When they all already know.
In each age of the historical era, the teacher has crossed well over five hundred ridges.
If you live not knowing those times and then go to the spirit world, will those who participated in each of those times leave you alone?
You must know the fact that the True Parents, the Savior, are taking responsibility and waiting even in the spirit world, to make people who can cross over those conditions. (Hoon Dok to the end.)
The Hour at Which the Fatherland's Mountains and Rivers Set Out
From now on, the teacher will not always appear at Hoon Dok Hae. I may have our sons and daughters attend in my place. So do not think it tedious. Everything will end before seven o'clock. It may even end at six-thirty.
These are passages of the sermons. They have all been arranged. Even the sub-sections have been aligned, so that we keep step with the spirit world, and the whole world, at the same time, reads that chapter in Hoon Dok.
It is not only you. Hundreds of thousands, tens of millions, even hundreds of millions, do not gather for this Hoon Dok Hae for amusement. The time is one of gathering to receive the road to walk from one another and to help one another, but that time is not a position from which, over an infinite span, the road by which you can proceed will simply be cleared open for you. You must labor. You must know how to fit your hour diligently and keep time. Do you understand? “Yes.”
That Teacher speaks for more than an hour, when it could be done in some thirty minutes — that is the teacher's taking responsibility. You do not know how greatly the people of the spirit world are longing for this. They say, “I need a time when I can receive that benefit on the earth. For me, that time has all passed by.”
They keep your time, and if at that time you cannot take responsibility, you cannot pass through. They will welcome those who are ready at that time, but if you are not ready at that time, if you are not a master who can be welcomed, you must know that you must step back from that place.
Unless one becomes, without fail, a fellow worker together with the system of the realm of cooperation, it will not do. That is a destined task.
Today is February 1, and now it is connected to the first day of the lunar calendar. The solar calendar disappears. The past disappears, and only you, as standard-bearers, set out; and there remains the time in which, together with a lifetime of victory or defeat, it is decided whether you are victor or defeated. Knowing this, do not let it slip, but with all your zeal keep it and accomplish it. (Jeong Won-ju, prayer of report.)
While deeply considering the meaning of this day, sing the song “Ulsan Arirang.” Sing with the heart of singing in order not to forget the historical era, in order, in my stead, to widen the road of liberation that must be walked, to encourage. Both the one who sings and those who listen must know that all must become fellow workers and participants in the heart of Teacher and of God. In that sense, sing. (Heo Yang sings “Ulsan Arirang.”)
Who will sing “Kim Satgat”? Jeong-ok, try it — “Kim Satgat”! Do you know it? Compare: the place where one waited longing for the elder sister to return and, missing the appointment at that time, grieved — the heart of the younger sister grieving for the elder sister whom she could not meet — with my own form, who, having made so many appointments at the time to meet the Lord and yet did not meet Him, grieves.
Can the two be compared?
Standing in the position of having to find that heart that cannot be compared, you must become a self who knows how to sing such a song in my stead.
If you cannot do that, sing “The Boatman's Song.” “The Boatman's Song” is the song of the fisherman who, having fulfilled the appointment to meet the Lord, catches fish for the feast. Such things you must think upon. (Hwang Sun-jo leads in the choral singing of “The Boatman's Song.”) It is a new beginning.
Although in Korea, the teacher, bearing the names of the Returning Lord and True Parents, should have stood above the people and gone forth, he entered the position of a servant, and his mouth could not open to cry forth those words.
Yet, beginning from such a position, this victorious sovereignty bearing such a signboard, together with the name of President Moon, is spread out like a highway before the road we must walk. It is like grasping the steering wheel of a top-class Mercedes-Benz and driving, not at 120 miles per hour, but speeding at 250 to 300 miles. Even the wide road looks like a narrow road.
Without fail, even on a long, long journey across a hundred million miles, before my road, going to find the Lord and going to attend the King who is more than a parent, there is no room to hesitate.
Flying at five hundred miles, a thousand miles, I must hasten to settle at the destination. Watching me come hastening, I must become a self who can be welcomed before the earnestness of the Master who awaits me, embraced in joy; and, lifted by the hand of True Parents who can lift me and welcome me crying “Mansei!”, joining hands together with God, there must be the proclamation of the Word: “Mansei!
All peoples, receive salvation!” At that time, please keep in mind that it becomes the hour at which the unified one world, the mountains, and rivers of our fatherland set out.
The Request of the Parents
So, sing “The Song of Unification.” The national anthem, too, must be savored.
Do you know the national anthem?
It was the song of the high school in Pyongyang, Pyongyang Bo. The back road by which we used to pass Eulmildae and ascend Moran Hill — that narrow slope — stroking it, I thought of history and shed tears.
Even now, I wish to go to that place. As victorious, sovereign sons and daughters, as heirs to sovereignty, I wish that all together we might cross over those deep valleys of Eulmildae and Moran Hill.
At that time, Moran Hill was completely covered with acacia trees. It was hard for anyone to climb that hill. It is not an era in which one must climb, watching the blood marks of the wounds on one's hands.
Now we go up the highway, and on a stone marker, we must inscribe, “Whoever comes to this hill, become victors of all nations!” That the bands of enemies, not the warriors of the Unification Church, not the sons and daughters of God, had stood in such a place — that the grief that I could not yet forgive and clear up — must be resolved, and we must climb.
So, on Daebo Mountain, eighty ri from Pyongyang, there was the training site of Mr. An Chang-ho, and on the opposite side, there was a cave where one could take shelter when it rained or the wind blew. Going into that place, an elderly Mrs. Park and the teacher, a young man in his thirties, prayed and pledged.
Even though Grandmother's family opposed everything. Among her sons and daughters, every one without exception left. When I think that, on the road of history in which I alone remained, again, among you whom I have joined as that daughter, as that family, there will be many who can be parted from us, an unbearable sorrow comes over me.
Bearing such a heart, in the gaze that beholds you, in what form will you sing? You must know the fact that we sing this song longing for the form of one who can ascend Moran Hill, sing the song of liberation we have just sung, and come down. That must appear as reality, as fact.
How thankful and how striking a fact it is when one comes to know that it is no longer the topic of past days, but a self who, having put it into practice and won, can hold it as one's own task and sing this song at this place!
Sing knowing that the song and the cry of “Mansei” of joy and gratitude must ring forth so that the shout of heaven and earth will say it will follow our shout. (The songs “The Song of Unification” and “The Grace of Glory” are sung.)
May God's eternal Blessing be with the course of life that you walk and with your family, your kin, your people, and the world that you lead. Ever attending God, connecting the bloodline of Him who is the King, knowing only the One, the King of Peace, you cannot but become the deputies of the sovereignty of the Heavenly Kingdom that can be resurrected eternally, the sons and daughters inheriting sovereignty!
Leaving behind the solar calendar of the old era and its habits, in place of the new lunar New Year's Day, this is the day that becomes the day of liberation.
Now, crossing over the 13th and 14th, and the 19th and 24th, please pledge and declare that you cannot but become princes and princesses who, acting on behalf of the master's authority to inherit self-government, can open the gate of liberation of all nations and proclaim the release of all peoples. With all earnestness, please go forth, standing in the lead and guiding them. Aju! This is the request of the Parents.
With the spirit of welcoming a new year, with a heart more than that of welcoming new brothers, new in-laws, and new aunties — wherever one is, alone, one cannot but dance and cannot but become a royal family of thanksgiving!
For a thousand years and ten thousand years, may it become the Age of Great Peace and Prosperity, God's fatherland and God's hometown kingdom! Praying so and reporting so, I sing in thanksgiving and praise. Aju! Thus, I conclude the words of the Parents' counsel.
After Heaven began to be attended, you have become the kin of the Master who can keep the fatherland and hometown of God, which is its fruit, my fatherland and hometown, and the birthday — give thanks; and for a thousand years and ten thousand years, may you become the form of princes and princesses who can keep the tradition of victorious sovereignty! It cannot but be so! Believe and recognize this, Aju!
May the praise of the Age of Great Peace and Prosperity for a hundred million years shine, like sunlight, like a lighthouse, from a high place upon your mouth and body — may you become victorious heirs and sons and daughters of sovereignty, princes, and princesses! Aju! (Worship.)
