Do Not Miss the Settlement Point

Cheon Jeong Gung, Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Korea

Now then, today we are going to read The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage.

The title of this book is The Anchoring Assembly of the World of True Peace and the True Parents UN.

What is true peace?

There is no peace. From whose viewpoint is this peace seen? It is the peace that God sees. God sent the True Parents to this earth, so this is the True Parents UN Anchoring Assembly.

After this is finished comes the Settlement Assembly. What are anchoring (anchak) and settlement (jeongchak)? By beginning to anchor, one enters into the environment of settlement.

Conditions Must Be Fulfilled on the Earth

All of this must be memorized. It comes to seven volumes. It is organized as a single curriculum.

Whatever difficult historical questions are asked — about the spirit world or about life on earth — the content for answering them is all contained in here. Behind this stand the Teacher's sermon volumes, which may surpass thirteen hundred to fifteen hundred books.

If you read those as reference works, the record of where every passage came from is preserved. For this reason, an educated person at the graduate level or above could even use the contents of this curriculum to govern a nation, and so, without fail, you must come to know it.

Having come to this earth as a human being and lived your time, you must know this before you go, for only then will you be connected within the system of the vast world beyond. Because everything is related through bonds of affinity, no one is severed.

Linked relationships bind us, and along those relationships, the scope of your activity is determined. So this is content that all of you must know.

This is a secret document. October 3, 2001. October 3, 2001 — the World Unification Country National Foundation Day! What does National Foundation Day mean? “The day a nation is opened.” What nation?

There are many nations. “The Heavenly Nation.” Are there many Heavenly Nations, or one? “One.” Because the Heavenly Nation takes the form of an earthly nation, to establish it, conditions must be fulfilled here on earth. This earth is precious.

Even in the Bible, it says,

"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)

It is conditional. If you cannot put into practice the conditions that have been established, you cannot enter the Heavenly Kingdom, which is the fruit of those conditions. Conditional thresholds remain before you.

Countless boundary lines are connected one to another, and the conditions for crossing them must be fulfilled on earth. Conditions are established on the earth; in the heavenly world, there is no such thing as a contract. The heavenly principle and the law of Heaven were established even before our ancestors came into being.

That established principle is bound together by bonds of relationship, beginning from conditions and reaching to the whole; and those conditions must be fulfilled here on earth.

If conditions are not met on the earth, then even God cannot act freely in the spirit world.

Humanity's ancestors went wrong, and there was no way for God to correct or guide them. Because the starting point was so, God Himself could not deal at will with a humanity entangled in conditions. And what is the condition by which we are bound? What condition? It is bloodline — bloodline.

Without resolving the Conditions, You Cannot enter the Heavenly Kingdom

Each of your bloodlines is different. Centered on the men — how many have gathered here? “Three hundred fifty-nine pastors from across the country and institutional leaders.” It looks to be about five or six hundred.

If six hundred, then what is the existence of the wives who are the partners of those six hundred?

A man's wife did not split off from his body. According to a thousand and ten thousand circumstances, the background from which she was born is different, and her bonds and relationships also differ in a thousand and ten thousand ways.

When men and women who stand in such different places — east, west, north, and south — meet and marry, their ancestors cannot be the same. All manner of ancestral forms are thoroughly different.

Because the phrase “the ten thousand forms of conditions” (條件萬象, jogeon-mansang) is composed of boundary lines, unless those conditions are loosened, the boundary lines will never disappear.

Christianity says that if you believe in Jesus, you go to the Heavenly Kingdom — but those are the words of people who know absolutely nothing. If the Heavenly Kingdom were that simple, why can't God do His work? Who sinned? Humanity's ancestors did. God could not intervene in the fall of humanity's ancestors. If you do not know the conditions, if you cannot resolve the conditions, you cannot enter the Heavenly Kingdom.

And who is there who knows these conditions?

That is why, throughout history, prophets and pioneers had to set up some different condition of victory in a conflicted environment before they could cross the threshold of that conflicted world. Until the threshold is crossed, even after a thousand or ten thousand years, what happens to it?

When descendants go wrong, the unfulfilled conditions accumulate, the evil grows, and a high wall is raised.

With so many boundary lines blocking the way, can one cross them and enter the Heavenly Kingdom merely by believing in Jesus? Where is Jesus?

He is in Paradise. Not even Jesus was able to open the gate of the Heavenly Kingdom.

You will know this at once when you die. Confucius, Sakyamuni, Muhammad, and Jesus all lived, but from where they stood, they were unable to make the connection. There are all kinds of boundary lines — vertical, horizontal, and all directions. People do not know this.

When you enter elementary school, there are elementary school rules. There are rules according to direction.

If there are 360 directions, the conditions in those 360 directions are all different. The peripheral direction and the core direction are different. In the Republic of Korea, it is not only the Constitution.

If there are eighteen or twenty ministries — the Ministry of Education and the others — those ministries exist according to the laws of those branches built upon the Constitution of the Republic of Korea.

Because of this, when caught by a condition, even a president must go to prison.

There is no escaping it. Everything is governed under the law, and only by passing across by way of the law are commendations issued and records kept.

Only then is a historical tradition established by which the direction and position from which anyone can know how he should travel — and what conditions he may serve in proxy for — become distinguishable. Without this distinction, the boundary line cannot be crossed.

Six hundred people have come here, and centered on the very lives they live, both inner and outer bonds exist. What is a bond (因緣, inyeon)? It is the character 大 (“great”) enclosed within a box. It is woven with threads. Yangdan and mobondan silk are different. Gwangmok (cotton) and okyangmok (bleached cotton) are different.

Can the eye see whatever it pleases?

The eye, fixed on the horizontal, can look up and down, left and right, and for the sake of convenience, from one position, the neck moves. The neck moves because of the eye.

If you were to say that the eye sees, but the nose sets up the condition, that is the talk of a madman. You must not think that the mouth, the nose, the eyes, the ears, the forehead, and the hair are all the same.

Of course, in outward, formal, and structural respects, they are the same, but their content is entirely different. They face north or south, downward or upward.

Wherever You Plant the Fruit of Love, the Flower of Love Will Bloom

If you trace the four great currents of Western thought, you find a man named Descartes, and after him a man named Kant.

What did they say?

Kant spoke of three great rational developments — can you critique that relationship? Did they, too, not receive the bloodline of the Fall?

Even now, when anyone asks, “Do you know you have fallen?” you will say you do not know. And when anyone asks, “Do you know that your blood is different from another's — that the blood of 6.5 billion of humankind is different?” you are bound to say you do not know. A man like Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am.” But where did the parents who gave birth to him go?

Who will present to our nation a thought that can still hold even a thousand years from now? A prophet capable of presenting such a thought is needed.

Do you know Teacher Moon?

Even one who claims to know Teacher Moon knows him only within the bounds of his own limits — he cannot enter the dreamlike, the imagined, the abstract world.

Where there is no subject and no object, where there is no man and no woman, can love take place? What is a young widow? She married, but she does not know love. Not once was she able to experience what a man possesses. That is what a young widow is.

Do you know love? Do you know true love?

Wherever you plant the fruit of love, the flower of love blooms. The root of love, the stem of love, the branches of love, and a multitude of fruits of love come into being. They say the ginkgo tree of Yongmunsan is about 1,100 years old, but across how many generations has its seed been received? Even though its age is said to be 1,100 years, who knows — perhaps after four hundred years, its fruit was transplanted and grew into such a tree. As for Yongmunsan, the characters yong and mun are close to me.

However outstanding a person may be, eventually, he lies down in the public cemetery and must wait a thousand or ten thousand years. While he waits, does he disappear or grow? He disappears. The flesh rots, the hair rots, the bones rot, and even the marrow flows away. Even the pulse of the marrow is gone.

Does God sit on a throne and send the good to the Heavenly Kingdom and the evil to hell?

If God plays such a game because there is nothing else to do, how dreary that God would be! And from where does the God who sends people to a good place send them — from hell to heaven or from heaven to hell?

From where does He send them? Seated on a boundary that is neither heaven nor hell — from where, exactly, does He send them?

If He makes the good go to higher places and the bad go to lower places, is He a God who does not know east from west? Of east-west-north-south (동서남북) or north-south-west-east (북남서동), which is right?

Between God and human beings — is God the subject, and the human being the object?

If God is the subject, who is the subject of the East? The object of the West is unknown. Between east and west, which is the subject — west or east? Answer!

Try saying “An-nae!” — “An-nae!” Who is the wife (a-nae)?

The woman who is inside (an) is mine (nae) — an-nae! Is there one of “mine,” or two? The word itself draws a distinction — why don't you understand? Within the syllable nae, “mine,” there are not two of mine. That fellow's stick and balls that go searching out a second one must be done away with.

And what is a husband (nampyeon)?

To a woman, all those many men are “the other side” (nam-ui pyeon). They are not on her side. The other side's my person! What is that? A husband. The “my person on the other side” is the bridegroom. The “my person on my side” and the “my person on the other side” are the same. The “my person on the other side” cannot be two persons. It is one.

The World of Natural Principle

A woman has what is called a womb (子宮, jagung). Whose is it? Why, though it is in the woman, is it called not yeogung (“woman-palace”) but jagung (“child-palace”)?

How does the world speak of President Moon, who teaches such logic?

The conclusion that this cannot but be the absolute standard is the normal conclusion. Yet they said that drawing such a conclusion would destroy families and destroy nations. It may sound like nonsense or a lie, but it is precisely this kind of unpacked explanation that is true. The word itself is twofold. Will they say that is wrong?

Those who say that the mind and body are split in two are monsters of the devil.

Even the eyes are two — they have a center. Because the eyes are placed horizontally, their center connects through to the breath channel. The nose is different from the breath channel; it stands on the opposing axis. The ears, like the eyes, connect through to the breath-channel.

So then, what is this nose?

It narrows as it goes upward. When you sniff huff-huff, what is it you smell? The smell of air? You smell excrement. Aha — correspondence and counter-correspondence are all connected!

What is right and wrong in the world?

Why, when we say “east-west-north-south,” do we not say “west-east” but “east-west”? Who set it that way? The heart reports directly (jikgo). Soljikgo — speak straight and honestly.

If a professor from Ewha University were here, she would say that President Moon, the chief of heretics, had been given a name worse than that of the founder of Baekbaekkyo (the White-White Religion).

When I looked into Baekbaekkyo, I found that at first it was good. Because it advocated inner white and outer white, even its flag was white, and there was no black or red on its ground. There was no color of blood, and no black to represent Satan. At first, Baekbaekkyo pursued public principle, but later it pursued private gain. Its spirit ought to have turned rightly, but it turned in reverse and became the opposite. Baekbaekkyo turned into Heukjeokkyo (the Black-Red Religion). It became the altar of the Communist Party.

At a power plant that can generate up to 360,000 kilovolts, the rotating wheel stands taller than two men. It turns silently. The stator and the rotor turn and produce electricity, and yet if you watch closely, this wide wheel, as it spins, appears to be standing still. There is a hum — sometimes loud, sometimes soft — and anything you bring near it is immediately blackened and burned. That is how fast it spins.

Am I not one who has studied as an expert in electricity?

Yes — and I made a machine related to this. The electric therapy machine called Happy Health is famous. Happy Health is better than bloodletting or moxibustion. It is a cure-all machine. No hospital is needed.

When I went to places like South America, I was stung by poisonous insects and had all manner of ailments in my body. With electric therapy, the poison of the insects flees, and the place from which it leaves is at my discretion. According to one's mood, the exit by which it escapes changes.

When something like the swine virus spreads to all humankind in an instant, if it is transmitted through the air, people will die. Atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs are nothing in comparison.

We have come into so dangerous an age — what can overcome it?

The order of heavenly principle must be unfolded to flow through. The whole, the entire, the full authority, the omnipotence—all of these must connect. When the power of order according to natural principle flows, everything is unbound. No knots arise.

When April passes and May arrives, bamboo grows in a single night to the height it could grow in a year. Even the shoot is whole. There are joints. Those joints, too, become blocked.

But in a world of natural principle, even when blocked, blow huff — and what happens?

Because there is a force in the pulse that breaks through what has been stopped and comes through, the stoppage is pierced and the way opens. That is why the day after the bamboo has fully extended, the leaves appear and everything follows. And so it does not die. It does not die. It goes on for ten thousand years.

An Era in Which We Need Only Follow as Heaven Moves

Shall we now read Chapter XVI of the Peace Messages?

How many minutes will it take?

A little over an hour, they say. Quickly, then. Shall we conduct Hoon Dok on The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage, or shall we read Chapter XVI? Concerning the helicopter incident — what came before and after — I have already spoken in Chapters XVII and XVIII, going right up to the threshold from which a bridge can be laid, even to the seat of liberation, and that too is important. Listen well to The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage. Read from the preface quickly. (Hoon Dok of The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage.)

Hwang Sun-jo, in about three minutes, give us your concluding impression of having heard these words. If you hang a signboard upon your shoulder, hang one beneath, hang one at the top, and hang one at your foot — if you hang signboards in four places, those signboards will be watched over by heaven and earth, and so they will not disappear, and the path of the searching out of your life will not disappear, and you cannot but live eternally. Very excellent! (Hwang Sun-jo gives his report.)

From now on, the only material for education centered on the smallest unit is our curriculum. Kim Jong-il of North Korea, Kim Jong-un of North Korea — what will they do?

Beneath Kim Jong-un are the unit chiefs and the families, and who can directly manage those families and educate them with a textbook? It is not Kim Jong-un, and it is not Kim Jong-il. They can receive guidance from our people, from those who have come today. If they go only this way and say “OK,” then everything will be settled. (Report continues.)

I have already drawn all the conclusions I had to draw. Now, when I leave, I do not know when I will return. As for me, I do not know whether I will take a few of our sons and daughters and go off into the mountains, or to the sea, or to the ends of the earth. I go as Heaven directs me. That place may become the eternal resting place of the cosmos for me — the very spot where the gate into the Heavenly Kingdom, the gate of entry and rest, both opens and closes.

Lately, I have had strange premonitions. Yesterday too, I gazed all day at fields where snow was falling and went to Seoul and back — this is the coldest time of year. We went to Cheongpa-dong to meet our Shin-jun, and over lunch, I spoke gravely with the daughters-in-law.

We went to Central City, and since the winter is cold and feet crack, I bought fur boots for the daughters-in-law. As for keepsakes that may serve as mementos, I have provided everything I had to provide. I do not think anything more is needed.

Beyond that, matters of the living foundation that they will rely upon hereafter remain to be settled together with the nation. I see that even if I do not intervene directly, you yourselves will be able to settle them.

So you should know that an era has arrived in which I am no longer necessary. Then what must I become? I must become a lighthouse! How is such a focal lighthouse-light, like the focus of the world, to be made? It is the curriculum centered on the autobiography of God.

When that curriculum is in fact carried out in this way, what comes to pass?

Because we have completely passed beyond the era in which we could be anxious, this is now an era in which we have only to follow as Heaven moves — and so indemnity is no longer required.

We live apart from adventure, apart from the world of life-and-death fear. We already know where we are going, so unlike the world, we do not say we will starve to death, and we are not afraid of dying.

To Die Is to Open a New Path of Life

For a person to die is to open a new path of life. Therefore, for the one who departs bearing the Blessing, there is no sorrow. Sounding the banner and the trumpet of liberation and release, wherever he goes, he cannot help but become the focal point of welcome. The hour draws near when one must open the final gate of hope and pass through it.

This is not a road you can travel together. With God, and with the heavenly birthright of the eldest son, with the family token of prince and princess — going as the first family that until now has not been able to enter — one may settle there. If settlement can begin from there, the fulfillment of God's longing is also brought to completion.

Then will it not be an era in which I, without borrowing the power of God, can create unlimited new realms of creation and can bring into being whatever did not before exist?

And so the fulfillment of every wish must become an era of ten-thousand-generation praise over all things — most certainly! Thank you. (Applause.)

I have not yet fixed when I will return from Las Vegas. What about the first day of the Lunar New Year? Would it be good to rest in Las Vegas, in Hawaii, or in Korea? “Please come to Korea.” But to see whom? Those who can travel after me — Mother and the sons and daughters and others who are needed — will follow me.

If, as in the old days, everyone rushes up saying, “Father, Mother — let us live together!” — that too becomes troublesome. The road one must travel and the road one must remain on are not the same.

I must go up and cross the pass; you must bore a tunnel through the pass your Teacher has crossed, and travel. Your sons and daughters have a road they must travel. The pass that I have crossed must be made level for them.

Otherwise, no new Heavenly Kingdom of liberation and release will be connected to your descendants. That is what concerns me. To open up a life capable of giving thanks through prayer and devotion — that alone remains as the mission of our calling. So good, so hopeful! Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude — one cannot but give thanks! “Indeed!” (Applause.)

In the spirit world, there is no worry about food. Centered on your family's three-generation realm, leading the special group connected to you as a historic token of victory, keeping pace with the world of descendants and keeping pace with the world of forebears, taking with you the few representative personnel — would it not be the throne of one's longing hereafter to be able to travel and live wherever one wishes throughout the entire cosmos? You must seek that place. Do you understand what I am saying? “Yes.”

Among those gathered here, new people will not know what content I am speaking of. But you do understand the meaning of your Teacher's words — do you not? “Yes.” Those who have understood, raise your right hand. Good. Without fail, if you have come to that point, you will automatically cross that pass.

Unlike the light cast by a lighthouse, where sunlight shines, you need not study direction or search — you can simply go. Going with the bright light you see before you, you can travel the road you must travel.

You can go and return, and you can also set out anew. Such is the position of those of our Unification Church who, beneath the banner of liberation, have received their call and stand as the blessed who live forever giving thanks for the joy of co-laboring and co-participation. Do you understand? “Yes.” Without fail, I hope all of you will join in, and let us close today's session with this.

Do Not Miss the Settlement Point That Comes Only Once

Park Sang-kwon, consult Hyo-yul. If it cannot be settled, going forward, it will be settled by lottery. Before evaluations, things will be settled by lottery.

We call together three or four people of the same rank and pray, “We pray in the name of True Parents — please render the evaluation according to God's longing!” — and then the lottery is drawn. A number five may become a three, or may become a two. Those who pronounce the result of the lottery will give no quarter. You all understand? “Yes.”

Those who do not understand should die quickly. Once they die, they will know. If those who do not know die quickly and reach the spirit world, they will understand everything the Teacher has said. But if one dies too quickly, one must come back without having done what one was to do — and going back is hard, and going forward is also hard. So fix your minds and do not miss the settlement point that comes only once.

The teacher may come back by a long, roundabout road.

So that the sons and daughters may not fall behind their Teacher but follow him, I ask that you devote yourselves to education with one heart and one body, offering everything. With this, I conclude this morning's Hoon Dok Hwe. Bow once more. (Bowing.)

Hardly any of the women came! I thought it was going to be all women, but only a few have come. Everyone is wearing black. There is only one row. Why? “The pastors have come centered on themselves, so it is so.” Are you the ones who harm the neck (mok)? (Laughter.)

Ah, what a name — “the gang that cuts the neck!” Well, it could be so. If I were going to vent my anger, that would suit me — but since I cannot cut the neck, lead your wives and your sons and daughters, and educate them.

Next, on the first day of the Lunar New Year, you must give the Blessing.

If you do not, problems will arise in the world beyond. Only two rows of white clothing were visible, and all the rest were black, so I was startled.

The women must work so that their sons and daughters can receive the Blessing well.

If it is not seventeen thousand couples or more, then a hundred and seventy thousand couples…

In the spirit world — not 1.7 million or 17 million, but a world numbering in the hundreds of millions opens up; and to take part in that, what a breathless running, what an offering up of everything, is being carried out, you cannot imagine.

Educate yourself well and study well so that you may not be among those who fall short and receive the verdict when they reach the spirit world. You understand? “Yes.” (Applause.)
