The Textbook Is the Substance

I told you to bring the Ambassadors for Peace — why did you not bring them?

Mobilize all the Ambassadors for Peace. Leave the other members aside. The other members can hold Hoon Dok Hae in their province. (Hoon Dok reading of the prayer portion of the message titled “Let Us Become Those Who Attend God” from Volume 3 of the Collected Sermons of Reverend Sun Myung Moon.)

The Course of Pioneering the Path of Blessing

I will say one word. From now on, all members must hold Hoon Dok Hae in their parish — every single member, without one being absent, all together. To sleep in late in the morning — there is no shame greater than that.

While Hoon Dok Hae is being held at the headquarters centering on the Teacher, the band that wants to keep sleeping cannot be protected by Heaven; can it be received by Heaven? You must know shame.

Do it together every day — but if it is possible to gather at the headquarters church rather than at your church, you must gather there. Even if it is far from your province, you must take pride in coming to headquarters, and you must cultivate a habit of life in which you understand that walking such a long road is walking the road that draws your hometown closer. In the future, when national events are centering on the Heavenly Kingdom or important undertakings, what can those who absent themselves do? What can they do?

All of that is disloyalty, and the more numerous those who do not move in this way become, the more their ancestors look upon them with indignation, saying, “These wretched children — they do not know what kind of time this is, and so they act like that.”

If you live centered on yourself, what do you leave behind in a day's life? Those who pass a meaningless day in the very place where they have been living in the form of maggots must know shame.

You will have to do roll call as in the army and report attendance. And by that, you must make clear how many among your kin have been witnessed. The number of your relatives, that is what counts.

Centering always on that number, the very effort to bring out as a fellow worker even one person who has attended becomes — as each day's result — the fruit of the harvest that Heaven can gather, and this fact is the blessing of that country and family.

What do you do, always coming here? What use is it to come a hundred times?

Rather than coming here, it is better to take hold of your kin and pioneer them. Centering on a list of your relatives, you must make a notebook and keep a daily record. To increase the time in which you can become aware of what kind of life you are living before your kin — is this not the course of pioneering the path of Blessing in your lifetime and the road by which you can show your descendants a fair and upright pioneering model on the road they will walk?

Therefore, not even one person may be absent. Once a month, under the management of headquarters, a system must be established in which a responsible person for each province is designated, and that province as a whole is reported to me, and to all the responsible people gathered here. Understand it that way, and each person must quickly make a notebook and carry it. (Hoon Dok continues.)

This is a message given when Mother was not present. It was when I was thirty-eight years old. Those who are older than that age, raise your hands. Thirty-eight and above, raise your hands. Is there not one person younger than that? You must bring the young people. (Hoon Dok continues.)

Not the Textbook of President Moon, but the Textbook of God

Members of the Unification Church who do not even own the original of the Hoon Dok Hae text — are these Unification Church members?

When you attend school, those who attend that school have a textbook. When you go to school every day, there is a morning assembly, and the direction of the day's life is necessarily set. Whether it is elementary school or university, the concepts you received in your education at school cannot be forgotten throughout your lifetime.

You were educated to be able to contribute to the place that educates you, and to the friends and town in which you live — why else were you educated?

Were you educated to become a wretched band fit to go to hell?

Such people perish. If you do not know your fatherland, do not know your hometown, do not know your parents, and do not know Heaven, you perish.

If, by Heaven's grace, the entire people cannot live thankful for the fact that from the very origin of life and throughout a lifetime they have been beholden to Heaven, then people perish. Even maggots live by such a principle — what kind of human being is this?

The name of the Unification Church is running away. That name feels ashamed. When the words of the Divine Principle are heard, they say, “You bands of mongrels — was this Word created so that people like you would come into being?”

The Word was not given only to the people of one's fatherland. It is the textbook. What textbook? There is not a single textbook or text by President Moon. It is the textbook of God.

When this is the fact, how will you lift your face?

What is the standard by which a gesture of the hand or the bearing of a footstep can prepare your posture before Heaven? Not a single being exists who, taking with him a life lived recklessly and offensively, can be unfolded before Heaven. Not even in the bottom of hell does such a being exist.

The Unification Church is not a place to wait on you and pave your road for you. It is teaching the road of the very essence — the road on which the filial children, loyal subjects, and virtuous women of a nation walk — and before that road of the essence, there must be something that can be light, something that can be left behind. But is there anything left that can be extended into your life? What are you looking at as you come and go?

Your brothers and sisters go to hell.

When you reach the spirit world, they will drag you backwards, saying, “Why did you not even speak of, why did you not teach, that the full authority of the spirit world is connected to the Unification Church?

What is this state you are in?” And as they do so, they strike and kick you. These are the wretched bands ruining the framework of brother, kin, and the future nation for which God hopes. Go and see. Just try dying. The teacher does not deceive you.

How much will you exert yourselves?

Are you doing even one-hundredth or one-thousandth of what Teacher alone does? While not doing even that much, how will you appear before the teacher?

Even if the men of Weight of the Nation come every day, I will scold them. I will discipline you. To those who oppose me before my face, I will pose decisive questions, and as shameful children, I will banish them from the gate.

You cannot come here at your pleasure. What are you doing in the rubbish bin? If you have been in the Unification Church for ten years, what has changed compared with ten years ago?

When you first heard the Word, you were stirred up, you pledged and prayed that you would stake your life for this purpose and become the foundation of Blessing for ten thousand generations of descendants — but when you see the present condition in which not even the shadow of such action appears in your life, you must feel shame.

Those Who Oppose the Unification Church Are Taken Away by Their Ancestors

Your ancestors took them away. Those who oppose the Unification Church — they take them away. Satan kept you from going your road, but now Satan disappears.

In a place where the voice of those reading the Divine Principle book of the Unification Church is heard, he cannot remain. He must pack his bundle and flee.

Then the ancestors descend. The ancestors come to earth and manage you.

If, while saying you believe in the Unification Church, you do damage to the Unification Church, you become a monstrous thing blocking the road of your ancestors and the road of your descendants — and that will not be left alone. It will be cleared away.

Look. The presidents of nations disappear. Of five, three remain. If you do not believe that such a time has come, you yourselves will be caught up. Can such people be called sons and daughters of Heaven with hearts of patriotism?

Can they build before their parents a traditional family of filial children, loyal subjects, and virtuous women? Not even as a joke.

If, without any fruitful condition of one's own self having been changed centering on the body of that time, one comes and goes here at will — look at the sons and daughters of such people. They resemble their mother and father. The bands that, like greedy creatures, daily pester husband or wife and behave wrongly will be swept away clean. In the future, the time will come when investigators are stationed in every village, when the nation's inspection teams are deployed. From now on, prepare so that you are not caught when that time comes.

You come here and say the Hoon Dok Hae hour is too long, that President Moon does not keep to time?

You yourselves have not become a group, a band, that can keep time. When the teacher speaks, your eyes ought to open to that Word, and you ought to be alert — but when I see you, with nothing extraordinary about you, bending your upper body in a posture that lets you drift far away, will I let it be?

When I have poured out all the devotion I have, all that I have, and it still does not come to pass, your ancestors gather the harvest. It is not I who harvests; it is not the Unification Church that harvests.

If, as a Kim, the Kim descendant has no record of achievement to offer to Heaven, how can the ancestors lead that descendant onward?

If the ancestors themselves, even reaching the position of chief, cannot raise themselves to the position of central leader, how can you say to embrace and live by the signboard of that nation, to live upon that signboard? You cannot.

Even sparrows and insects have ancestors, and they know how to protect and raise what is related to themselves. Look at swarms of ants, or birds, or insects. None of them lives just as it is. In ten years, mountains and rivers change; in some decades a nation changes — and how many times has the Unification Church read this book? I open it whenever I have time, every day.

The name "Textbook of Hoon Dok Hae” is on a level different from what you understand. Even if you listen to and love the textbook a thousand times, ten thousand times, that textbook does not consider its responsibility fulfilled. The road you still have to walk remains hundreds of percent.

You must know this. Heaven has come forth in this manner — will you, who stand before it, receive Blessing and live well?

Now I am no longer trying to give Blessing to Hoon Dok Hae — I am seeking that Blessing back. Do not give Blessing; give punishment. If a sinner is left alone, he only piles up more and more sin and ruins the nation and defiles everything in his environment. It is the same. The people of the Unification Church — what kind of band is this horde?

Are they people who live for President Moon?

President Moon lives for Heaven and earth and checks himself daily to live so as not to be ashamed before Heaven and earth — but what about you? If you would rather not hear it, go and speak to the teacher directly. The teacher is a fearful man. I consider my words fearful. Those words, too, do not just pass away. Even if I shut my mouth, if I say, “That wretched fellow…!” — that person disappears. Calamity befalls that household.

For me to hold Hoon Dok Hae like this with such devotion is a fearful thing.

When I devote myself, for whom do I devote myself?

It is for you. I am not saying that only you may sit in front. Not just anyone may sit in the front row. No matter what — whether a market leader or anyone — when one comes, he must sit in the corner over there. What relation does a county magistrate or a provincial governor have to me? They are not my sons and daughters. Why do they go seeking the good seats?

Those Who Do Not Read President Moon's Autobiography Cannot Even Be Counted as Human

You are the same. Do you think you sit in the front seats because you have done so well?

You must know yourselves and know what kind of environment this is. The environment has a system in place, centering on the law of governance, by which gradations are distinguished. In this small country of Korea, the people of the Unification Church who wish to become the center of Heaven — God's people are not people like you.

I am like this now. I cannot eat. After going around for several days, I am tired, and I do not know the taste of food. And if I should sleep, sleep must come.

What kind of present time is this that sleep should come?

When the nation is dying, when the responsible figures of the nation who must go are lined up, can one who knows this sleep? Who will save them? Who will take care of them?

Whoever dies — once they have died, they will not know a single one of the words President Moon labored to speak at Hoon Dok Hae. Having lived as they pleased, how will they face it? I cannot go searching for them.

If you have anything good, do not pile it up at home — take it to the church and use it with love. If you pile up such things at home, they weep. They weep, I tell you. Do not make such things weep — make them happy.

It is the same with the Teacher's collected sermons. You must love them and live according to their content — if you do not live that way, what use is the book? It is so with the textbooks as well. They are not worthless textbooks. The teacher loves the textbooks daily.

When I open a book — when I look at Pyeong Hwa Gyeong in the morning — wherever I open it, I lay my hand on it and say, “Today it is this finger,” and read. I look at what comes before and after that passage, and if there is something in the content that catches me, I cannot withdraw my finger. That is how I live.

Therefore, although those who love President Moon throughout the world are many, they all receive teaching. They receive the teacher's instruction, that is.

When they enter such a gathering, history should work, and they should be boiling — but what is this? From now on, the time comes to be received as one is, and yet they cannot meet the Teacher. The presidents of the world I do not even meet; even when government ministers come, I tell them to pass on by.

From now on, decide on the responsible people for the times, the ones who will represent the nation. The day will not be far off when the era of elections ends. Within one or two years, elections will disappear. Watch whether they disappear through President Moon or not. Before that, you must make the number of members of the National Assembly — fewer than three hundred — three times greater. From among those, you must draw lots and select one-third.

And in the place where the present National Assembly members are, by God's command, in the name of the True Parents UN — the One UN — I will appoint them. From now on, they cannot leave that region. With those people, and centering on those who have laid the foundation of our church and been trained, the matter is to see who can go ahead for the sake of the nation.

Those who do not read President Moon's autobiography cannot even be counted as human.

What have those people done?

Should President Moon be removed from this nation? When there are ungrateful, monstrous things that would stand at the head of removing the Unification Church, centering on their kin, what have I done wrong? What have I done wrong? For the sake of the nation, for the sake of mankind, I have made the textbook of the Heavenly Kingdom and laid down the original.

When you read this book, find anywhere in it what President Moon has done wrong. Let the counterfeit bands clear off. I know how to discern people. From here, I can pick out one-third at a glance. Even the Blessing I have given to thousands at a time — within that, how do you suppose I sought the partners? My finger knew.

After having labored to that extreme of devotion to give it, those people live as they please. When they have given birth to sons and daughters, should they not come to True Parents and pay their respects?

You Must Carry the Textbook and Text

The Korean people are a people who attend God. There are no such people in the world. When I was born, it was said, “You must become the model for the people who attend God.” That was Heaven's instruction. They attend God, but that God has not been able to stand in the position of God has been driven, pursued, and buried. From within that, a new sprout has broken forth and become visible to the world.

And so President Moon was a problem from the village onward. Even at school in my childhood, I was a problem; wherever I went, I became a problem.

If they know I have come to Las Vegas, they all watch to see what I am doing in Las Vegas. I do not go around gambling. What do I go around doing? It is not for sightseeing among people. I look at what kind of land it is and what kind of mountains and rivers surround it.

What is the wondrous thing?

In Las Vegas, it does not rain a thousand millimeters a year — not even a few hundred millimeters — but when Teacher comes and goes, there is a flood. It is strange. Coming back this time, I saw that on the mountains around Las Vegas, the snow was piled along the edges of Baekdusan. Centering on that snow, there ought to be green hills and fields visible, green trees and grass — but there are none. I have gone to that garden as many as twenty times in a year.

Now, having finished, the question is whether that land disappears or I disappear. One of the two must remain — let us wait and see. Of all the preparations in every direction by which we may move toward the future, more than fifty-five percent have been made ready. The question is whether they will accept it or not accept it.

Among the representatives of nations who have come there, there are bands fit to become rubbish. The responsible person of the band that came from South America fell ill, and no medicine cured him.

So with only the day of his death remaining, he met with us. We have a treatment device called Happy Health. That machine is so blessed, but although I have given it freely to people fit to use it, they do not use it and leave it lying about. With that, Happy Health, no illness is cured.

Why is this so?

I know that principle. It is the principle of electricity, and if it became known, the principle of electricity would disappear, and it is so precious that the world would lament that the Nobel Prize was not given to President Moon. Is that a plaything for you? Your fathers and mothers, your ancestors, must see it, bow in reverence, attend it, and carry it on their backs. It does not exist even in the Heavenly Kingdom.

From now on, the textbook and text of the Heavenly Kingdom come into being.

From now on, the spirit people gone to the spirit world also hold Hoon Dok Hae. They do exactly as we do here. Hundreds of billions of ancestors are studying with the Hoon Dok Hae books — and if you say you will do it bare-handed, without a book, it will not do. You must carry the textbook and text. Are the textbook and text some plaything?

What is it doing?

Even if your grandfathers and grandmothers repent and, feeling guilt at the mere sight of it, kneel and try to attend it, this book does not permit it. I am not boasting — the fact is so. Try praying. Look at the spirit world. The spirit world has been fully unified. The empty cans, who have long believed in the Unification Church but have only a shell left, are blown away by the wind, by the typhoon.

Therefore, before Heaven, I pray, “Do not leave on this earth what is not needed by me, what is not needed by Heaven! It must be dealt with.”

If I did not do so, what would happen? I am building a special information organization. Those who say they have been blessed must buy 430 copies of the autobiography and distribute them to their kin — even a week would be too long. In three days, they will distribute them all.

A World of Relationships, Entirely

With the money in your pocket, not just dozens but hundreds of times you go around drinking and doing every sort of thing, and saying you will educate your sons and daughters, you go around with stolen money in your pocket — yet for the book that is more precious than the gold itself in the family safe, what shall I call it? There is no safe, no such room. There is not even a barn where the sons and daughters may behold it.

What kind of parent is this?

If, without the textbook, you hold and love your sons and daughters, will Heaven say you have done well?

From now on, such people are taken away to the hospital. While within this domain you are protected, but from now on, those who shed tears because of their sons and daughters cannot simply stand here. Even they themselves are taken. Watch and see.

Was Noah's judgment only upon Noah's family?

At one stroke, it became the judgment authority for the world. When a typhoon blows — even one typhoon affects all of Asia — and if you do not keep step with it, you catch even a cold and suffer.

The road on which President Moon passes is not only one that can be good for you. The monstrous things for whom that road cannot be good are toppled.

Do you know what “leaves falling in the autumn wind” means?

Autumn comes, and they would be fallen leaves — but they fall before they become fallen leaves. They become a heap of compost. The green leaves that could contribute to the autumn fruit, even though they fall midway, are used as fertilizer.

For this reason, many young people are vanishing — but old people are the problem.

How will old people now live?

Past fifty-five, one cannot even rise in the world. President Moon is old, but if we wrestled, I would not lose to you. Even in a fight, I would not lose. So do not entertain such thoughts.

I am ninety, so my age is three times yours. It is twice your age, and how is it that your ancestors treat such a one, fit to be an ancestor among grandfathers?

They know him to be the very master to whom they must sacrifice all and offer service, and you would have him live smelling the wind you break, stepping backwards? Will the ancestors let it stand? Try praying — what kind of being am I? Pray about what kind of being you are. Whatever it may be, there must be a counterpart for there to be sharing.

For that reason, it is the parent-child relationship.

What is the parent-child relationship?

There is a relationship of blood lineage. That cannot be severed. The husband-and-wife relationship, too, as a relationship of mutual trust and love, cannot be disregarded. It is, all of it, a world of relationships. Beyond the world of affinities, it is the world of relationships.

The parent-child relationship, the parent-children relationship, political relationships, and diplomatic relationships. In such a world of relationships, can the relationships simply form by themselves?

A nation is connected from the king through the ministers, then by way of provinces and counties; within a county, there are townships, and centering on the township and the village, it extends to the neighborhood.

Even a neighborhood — in which valley among the four directions of east, west, south, and north it lies — within that affinity a relationship arises. Within a family, too, where a member stands has its standard of order, and if one does not know one's own standing place, how can one be treated well in the family?

Who treats him well? Father and mother distrust him, his elder sister and younger brother distrust him, and his wife distrusts him. Is that a human being, or is it a maggot? In prison, when I observed the flies, mosquitoes, bedbugs, and fleas, all of them had loyalty.

What have I not done while serving in prison?

Here too, when something smells, the flies fly over and settle. Tasting it, since it is tasty, they want to climb higher and higher — and what do they do? They suck once and rub their feet. Going back to this side, they rub their forefeet.

The fly, before alighting on the king's breakfast table, salutes, makes its plea, and then goes.

If the master is pleased, it instantly brings its companions. The fly is so, and the mosquito is so. There is a creature called the horsefly, like the chief of the flies. When that bites a person, blood comes out at once. Blood comes out at the spot it has bitten.

One Who Walked Carrying Out His Road

At dawn today, I went into the bathroom and saw a black scab here. When I peeled it off, blood came out — not red blood, but black blood. From a small hole that had been covered by the scab, blood came out and flowed. It is the same elsewhere. I scratched because it itched. Blood came out, and the color of the blood was, unlike when I was young, black.

I have to take a cup and draw this out. Bloodletting is necessary. I have a historical record in the matter of cupping. I have material that was taught to me by the ancestors from the spirit world. These scars here, I made myself.

If the elders of the village had known, they would not have left me alone. I carved these as markers, and here they have all disappeared.

There were one, two, three, four, five, six, seven — and of these, only one is visible, and the rest have all disappeared. They have become smaller of late! Here they remain as they were. It is in this position.

Why is that?

It is not straightened out like this, and this one, too, has not been straightened out. Had my parents known, they would not have left it alone.

I could not trust my grandfather, could not trust my household. Born into the Moon household, I could not follow the way of that household.

The instruction was, “Carry on your body, throughout your life, the unchanging mark that you yourself must keep!” No one knew. Even my friends did not know. Even Mother did not know until a year or two ago. I did not tell her.

They are not on both the left hand and the right hand. The one on this hand has disappeared. There were seven; I marked them, and only one remains; the rest have all disappeared. Here they are as they were.

The fourth one, too, has somewhat disappeared, and when the time comes, all will disappear. Looking at my hand, how am I to do as the spirit world taught me? It was, “Before these vanish, establish yourself and appear in the world.”

So I sought the worst places, all that was said to be bad. When a grandfather sitting and cursing someone was mentioned, I would go to him. “I am So-and-so from such-and-such a place.

Grandfather, who does not like me, I had wanted to meet you. Since it is lunchtime, if you have no lunch appointment at this eatery, why don't we eat lunch together once?” I did this to observe his conduct. When I asked him to speak once, and he spoke, he was driven out by me.

There is such a wicked chief before me — why leave him alone? Either kill him or do away with him. “Looking at what you say, you may have the heart to kill — try it! Why can you not, old man? My grandfather attends me — between that grandfather and you, the difference is heaven and earth. Just try saying something.” But because he had a conscience, he could not open his mouth.

If he spoke even a word, I would say, “So at this place you cursed!” That is, I was watching. “Wretched old man — in such a place, rather than rearing your grandchild centering on your own sons and daughters, you cursed bad children — and said that those still worse than those bad children deserve punishment!” — I was watching with my eyes. “Your grandson is like this, isn't he?

One of his hands is crooked!” “How do you know that?” “Because I know — I came to teach the old man what he himself does not know. Is it a lie, or is it the truth?” — and if they would not listen, I would beat them down like that. I carry such a historical record.

Before passing the age of ten, I had become famed as a sorcerer. People living within a radius of seventy or eighty ri came searching for me and stood in line.

Even friends of my grandfather I struck with a cudgel, and if even then they would not listen to my word, I had hunting dogs raised and drove them off.

They came bringing their son's photograph — an only son of seven generations of only sons, with the lineage about to be cut off — to see what kind of partner their son's marriage partner would be.

Was I the one who told fortunes or did such things?

I was the one who was carrying out my road — why did they make life so hard for me? “Do you not love your son more than I do? Raise him well with love! You come to me to inquire — but you yourself, who inquire, do not like the man called 'me,' and yet you want me to give you an answer that will be good for your son?” — and so on. All sorts of things happened in this history.

The Prince of the Law of Indemnity

What I have shown you is no lie. For two years and eight months in Hungnam, no one knew. “When the time comes, when I have crossed the nation and feel at ease, I will make it public and speak of it, and you will know how much remains.” That was it. How can these disappear like this? Why do they disappear? While serving in prison, I scratched a great deal because of the itching.

The teacher's flesh is not smooth.

If flesh is oily, it is smooth, but having no oil, it itches. Once scratched, it itched. The left hand is the one that heat reaches first. So I scratched until blood came. On this side, I did not scratch with my left hand. When exposed to the wind, I would do this. Since the left hand cannot do likewise, when it took the heat, I scratched it a lot.

It was the same last night. I asked Mother to scratch a little where it itched. Mother knew. She brought cold water and applied it. Even now, when I scratch, I scratch until blood comes.

If you look here, the blood vessels run along in a row. Why must I live like this? When there is so much medicine. All sorts of medicines Mother brings, but I do not like medicine.

Our ancestors in the Garden of Eden did not live by medicine. In all my life, I am one who has not even asked a doctor at a hospital, nor have I received a doctor's examination. Only of late, since they make such a fuss, has it not been so. I told you what to do from now on, did I not?

Decide quickly on three times the number. Three times — three threes are nine, so nine hundred — make it a thousand, twelve hundred, even seventeen hundred. Make it as many as six or seven times.

What can be needed there?

Even the Ambassadors for Peace exceed fifty thousand.

Where have those Ambassadors for Peace gone?

Putting up their signboard, selling the name of Ambassador for Peace authorized by President Moon, they have said, “Do not disregard us.” Without even knowing Teacher well, they have boasted of and tried to sell off their small affinity with Teacher. Even now, when I pass by the village of an Ambassador for Peace, I do not meet him. Even when I see him sitting on a bench in the yard, I do not meet him.

He is not an Ambassador for Peace meant to make himself look good. He must become an Ambassador for Peace, by whose standing the nation prospers, by whom his village can be revived.

What is happening in his village?

Children who do not even plant a flag, who sit eating lunch unaware as the teacher passes by — I will hang them upside down and thrash them. I know how to handle one or two people. I am one who did the horizontal bar and worked out. There was no sport I could not do.

In the Japanese colonial period, with a “Hmmmph!” and a strike, I would break through a wall like this. Even now I do such exercises. Centering on these three places, I have done exercises so as not to be touched.

When I scratch, blood comes. Yet because, like an idiot or a powerless one, I just remain still, they call me a monstrous thing that stirs up trouble in the village and can ruin the nation, and they oppose me nationwide.

There is not one thing I have done wrong to the nation. Our ancestors protect me, and God protects me. You do not know. In the world of countless prison sufferings, I suffered hardships beyond words, hardships no human can endure — and what then? Because this nation stands in the place of death, even the nation must pay indemnity. The teacher is the prince of the law of Indemnity (탕감).

Who in history must do what?

Confucius, too, must come and pay his respects to me; Jesus, too, must pay his respects to me. Thirty years ago, when I once announced that the five great sages were my disciples, I do not know how much abuse I took. The point was, “Jesus is your disciple, and Sakyamuni is your disciple, and Confucius is your disciple, and Muhammad is your disciple?”

Khomeini of Iran, saying, “He has called the only sage among the great sages his disciple,” sentenced me to death and tried to remove me, but in less than three years, he himself was toppled. Those who curse me — I hear all the curses and forget them, but what happens? Since they come into my ear when I say, “That wretched fellow — he will not do! Within a few days he will collapse,” it comes to be so. I alone know.

Do Not Enter the Unification Church and Cause Damage

Because I studied electricity, I also know how the body changes biologically. So I made a machine called Happy Health. It is a cure-all. There is glaucoma, and there is cataract; for glaucoma, several treatments can cure it entirely. Women who cannot bear children, with several treatments, can bear children — but they do not believe it. As for those who do not believe like that, whether they bear children or not is their affair.

That machine I have distributed to many people, and the device that does cupping I have also distributed several hundred of. Whoever has pooled blood must have it drawn out. It must be exchanged.

How is that done?

The making of that machine, too, was taught by the spirit world. I entered the Electrical Engineering Department of the Higher Vocational School attached to Waseda University, but I did not attend for even a few days. Among the renowned electronics companies of Japan, there is not one that does not know me. Even at places like Hyundai, I have helped a great deal with difficult problems.

Without Tongil Industries, the automobile factory of Korea, Hyundai, would not have come into being. Even in technology — they are said to have built the finest warships — Korea is making one that, even when several thousand shells fly at it from a thousand kilometers away, can sweep them all away at once. Korea has become a fearsome nation. Over the last thirteen years, what I have prophesied has all come to pass. Do not disregard Korea.

The teacher knows how to disguise himself. To survive, what have I not tried? I have no friends. Even Mother and Father could not protect me. My grandfather and grandmother knew. They said not to enter the school.

“If you enter, since you are outstanding, you will become there like a historic monument. If you go to the new-style schools, the nation will seek you out and take you and put you to work. By no means go into the world of the new learning!” they said.

Do not enter the Unification Church and inflict damage. I had bought more than 780,000 pyeong of land in Mangu-ri, but only 430,000 pyeong remain. While I was in America, the rest was all lost. It was absolute agricultural land, a protected zone. But it became so because they said there was no owner. These days, they put even precious lands of over 100,000 pyeong in their names and drive the Unification Church out.

President Moon is not a careless man. He says, “Just leave it.” Latching onto the signboard of the clever Moons, they make them their faction, and saying that President Moon has fled, they sell and transfer things. I did not go to America to live as a fugitive. When the director of the CIA was being appointed, I was the one who gave counsel centering on the Washington Times.

Goodness — that I live in such an ironic environment is not even imagined in dreams. Go and find out in South America. Find out how greatly the presidents of South America respect President Moon.

You Must Live for the Nation, the World, and God

The clever ones who have come out of university consider the founder of the Unification Church to be nothing. Their mothers and fathers will be called to account for having raised them wrongly. Is anyone a human being just because he eats and live? Is it enough simply to eat and live? The teacher has simply settled the matter of living as a human in six things. First is eating and sleeping. Having eaten, one must sleep. For one has worked.

To work like that, one must go back and forth somewhere, and going back and forth, one must come and go, discerning the good and the bad. Eating and sleeping, going and coming. Wherever one goes, go not for oneself, but for the nation, the world, and God. Even if the nation perishes, Asia remains, the world remains, God remains.

President Moon goes and comes from the position of making God's textbook and laying down the text — and what of you? Doing it to settle the sins you have committed will not do. It is simple. Eating and sleeping. If, until your bones melt, your flesh wears away, and blood comes forth, you have labored in the morning, eat and sleep in measure befitting that labor.

Having risen the next day, one must move. One must go and come. Whether going or coming, the movement must be done. I, too, came out today and moved. Going and coming — for whose sake do I go and come? My father, my parents, my ancestors knew. Our ancestors valued this so. However poor they were, the saying was, “Do not become beggars and go begging at the gates of others!”

When the beggars of all eight provinces came to our household — from my grandfather down to my father and elder brother — what did they do with the table from which they were eating?

If the women could not bring it out, the men would rise from their meal and bring the table out to them. That was the kind of household it was. Do not defile the color of such a tradition. Do not seek to live off others.

The schoolfellows feared me. When the classmates met, they would frolic like calves and do every sort of thing in play-fights, but although they were classmates of the same class, they all feared me. I did not say useless things. If there was anything bad in the area around the school, there were many friends I had helped without anyone knowing, spending my money.

But if there was a fellow who opposed me, or if someone said, “That fellow must be dealt with,” what did I do? I was an athlete. I was a wrestler and a soccer player. I even did the horizontal bar. Although my body is like this, I was nimble. I did not go around in gangs anywhere, nor was I chased about. I did not flee. I was upright and bold. The high-flyers of Heukseok-dong — within a week, I had met them all. I learned who the chief there was and lived thinking, “If that fellow does wrong, I will educate him.”

In every village, around the rice-cake shops, there used to be many beggars who came to get rice cakes for free, but when I would arrive — if it was said that So-and-so was coming in the morning — the band of beggars in that village would vanish.

Those who had been tormenting the grandfathers and grandmothers at the rice-cake shop would vanish. Why? Because they knew President Moon was coming. So some disliked it. But I did not say or do anything that could be disliked. That was how the rumor spread.

I Fear My Words

I attended school in Seoul, and for three years, going back and forth to my hometown, when I would stop in Pyongyang, I would play the role of a teacher centering on Christianity. It was when I was nineteen, twenty, twenty-one. I knew all the rules of decorum, and Muje-si, the Sohak, and the Four Books and Three Classics I knew. Because in the household, I had received all the education.

A man named Kim In-seo, who founded Sinang Saenghwal (Faith Life) in Pyongyang, was a monster who opposed the appearance of Pastor Yi Yong-do and new-style denominations. I have not forgotten that name. Although I tried to meet him, being busy, I could not, and meanwhile, he died.

What is strange to me? When I am still like this, a sound comes, and listening, it is the sound of wailing. I am making that sound. It is a fearful thing. Without my knowing, I am wailing. “Just try praying! In such-and-such a place, such-and-such a person is dying unjustly — you must discern God's road, the road of God's nation, the road whose direction must not be mistaken.” That is what is said. It is said I must do so.

Receiving such transmissions, I said, “Father, why do You ask such things of me? I am a busy man.” I could not trust my grandfather; not only Mother and Father, but the friends of our village did not like me. Because there had been many such incidents. But although I asked, “Please, can it not be so?” the response was that I must build royal sovereignty. I did not believe it. But ten years later, the position in which I stood was different.

Before the age of thirty, I had grasped the New Testament so thoroughly that no question remained. I had grasped the entire doctrine of the Fall. I did not pick it up from somewhere and make it by reference.

The content that for thousands of years no one had known, Heaven raised President Moon so that, as a youth in his teens, he could know it all.

What was it for? “You also know that God cannot do God's work. Because your kin is a bloodline known for patriotic thought, He has come to find you and is trying to lay a foundation by which God can play God's role — but what happens if you do not listen? Since I cannot disappear, you must disappear, and another must be raised — so do not say you cannot, and just wait quietly!” That is what He said.

Over ten years, he cleared up to seventy percent of the secrets that had been hidden. I fear my words. Even for this Holy Sanctuary, in buying the land at Cheongpyeong, some nine people died. Clever people, trying to use me, died.

Although they did not know the law of Indemnity, since as citizens they were inflicting damage on the nation, heavenly fortune applied the law of Indemnity and disposed of them without their knowing.

I cannot stop such things. If I stop them, I myself am wearied. It only becomes harder. So I try to keep silent. The teacher's very tongue is pitiable. That is why I fear my words.

If you do not do as the teacher says, an incident occurs. If you do not believe that, try living as you please. Heavenly Fortune cleanly disposes of it just as the Teacher has said.

Try imagining that the autobiography, this one book, costs five hundred thousand or six hundred thousand won.

If it goes quickly, and you Blessed Families each take 430 copies, I will be struck by a downpour of money. Money is unnecessary. Even with fifty million won, one cannot buy this one autobiography.

What will you do if it is not put out for publication?

I own all the companies that can produce books. In the matter of bookmaking, our company holds the record in Korea.

Although it was made through Gimm-Young Publishers, our newspaper company produces more than this. I have made everything necessary. Without these textbooks, you cannot love your sons and daughters.

Whoever it may be — even if you must sell your house or go into debt, buy all the books. Because the teacher must teach you before he dies, this is so. Try loving and shedding tears over this even one-hundredth or one-thousandth as much.

Cheon Seong Gyeong has been compiled in sixteen parts; when compiling it, I do not know how much I wept. He said, “With the content of this book, in America, the chief journal — a newspaper company representing eight divisions — is to be made. Do not complain, but do it just so, and after your death, the hillside of your tomb will become a flower garden and a sacred land that all nations can come to honor.”

Those people said, “Goodness — how can such a thing happen?”

They said, “In a state where one cannot even eat three meals a day and is starving, you are telling us to make such a thing?”

In America, The World & I, an eight-hundred-page journal, was made. Within eight divisions, the events of the world over forty years were all entrusted to my company and resolved with responsibility.

If one has a newspaper or magazine, when investigating an important event, one need not consult one's national library.

If you say, “On such-and-such a day, such-and-such an event,” the article is sure to be carried in it. It is a museum that stores the important events of society. When it was being made, they said they could not, that they would do only half, but these days, the records of that newspaper company are used as textbooks in middle schools, high schools, and universities.

Become Victorious, Sovereign Heirs

You heard the prayer just now; now let us listen to the sermon. The teacher was thirty-nine at that time. Unable even to attend Mother, in the midst of severe persecution at that time, the fervor with which I spoke then cannot be explained in words. Heaven protected me before and behind and followed me about.

When you hear “1958,” how old the teacher was, and in what kind of environment, if you know, you must speak according to what you know. Are you not utter shiroto (素人; novices, those without experience)? You hear it as if listening to news from a dreamland—but the words of the Teacher that you have come to grasp through your experience until now, you must teach to your kin. (Hoon Dok continues.)

The textbook of President Moon is the substance. Even if I am not there, this textbook holds qualifications beyond mine. Because it contains the content by which God can dwell together and accomplish, it is precious.

Even if I am not there, the Kingdom of Heaven is bound to come into being. How precious are the textbook and text?

They are more precious than the Constitution. What is it that produces the draft of the constitution, becomes the fence of the constitution, and can guarantee a worldwide environment centered on the constitution? It is the textbook and text.

The Unification Church is wealthy. Not for trillions could it be exchanged. Just let ten or twenty years pass for you.

After the teacher has gone, for twenty years, centering on daily Hoon Dok, embracing the entire kin, you cannot but undertake a worldwide movement. You cannot but go forth in a way that pierces to the bone. Fearful things will unfold in the future. So do not become a band that is caught up in them and swept away.

If any tree or living thing remains until that time, it can be used as raw timber, as living material, needed in establishing the Heavenly Kingdom and the heavenly nation. The world enters into a contest of which nation produces how much of such things, and the Korean people must not lose.

And so it appears before God. When it appears and prostrates before God, what then? What was written? It is the Yeong Yeon Se (靈聯世) Association — the Spirit-Linked World Association.

Even though He has taught. That is God and love and the human being's Shin Ae In (神愛人) — God, Love, Human. This must be offered up before God. After that comes Cheon Il Guk (天一國). If there is no root of cooperation by which two can become one, Cheon Il Guk does not come into being either. Cheon Il Guk cannot be established in the Garden of Eden.

Adam and Eve, with God as their root, ought to have grown as a stalk and become a tree that could bear flower buds — but the root vanished, the stalk vanished, all vanished. This is what I speak of. Teacher, having come to this earth, in his short lifetime, made these vast textbooks and texts.

If there is a university — by departments, centering on courses — then by organizing only the essentials, sphere by sphere, out of history, seventy percent of a text can be made.

But unless one is the very person himself, one cannot know up to a hundred percent of the content. I have stood in the position of the principal himself. From the position of the very one born before God and living, there is nothing I have not done at over a hundred percent. (Hoon Dok continues: we must take to heart that only thus can we become sons and daughters who have completely passed through to God's inner heart [심정], and only as such true children of God can we live in eternal glory centering on God's love…)

The mission-bound responsibility we must bear at this present time is all contained in this Word. God transcends history.

The fact that, at the age of thirty, meeting such a battlefield, I did not fall but rather had a vital force exceeding my firm appearance of today — this fact is linked beneath the victorious foundation of today, and the world that has grown as a result from there has become a reality that cannot but dance to our wave. You must not be the pitiable ones who forget this. Do you understand?

Even now, President Moon still has the path of liberation and release — on which hangs the right of life and death for mankind — by which he must demolish the final wall in the world. In that breathless battle, do not weary, do not flee and die, but live and become victorious, sovereign heirs.

Become fathers and mothers unashamed before God, and become the masters of the hopeful garden the ancestors long for! That is True Parents' earnest wish. Please keep in mind, and on returning, please accomplish that work.
