Let us do Hoon Dok of Volume 3, page 45. (Beginning the Hoon Dok reading of the speech entitled “Let Us Enter and Seek the Bond with Our Original Homeland,” from Volume 3 of The Collected Speeches of Reverend Sun Myung Moon;
…To realize the ideal of the Creator, the bond of parents who bring human beings into being, the bond of husband and wife for daily life, the bond of the nation for activity, and the cosmic bond must all be tied together.
Unless this cosmic ideal of creation is sought and established within the living environment of human beings, God cannot be present.
You Must Discover Yourself Standing in the Unshakable Position of the Core
I have taught you all this clearly. The teacher is now 90 years of age, but it was around the age of 35 that I came to know this Will and introduced the nation, the world, and God.
That standard of heart (심정) has become a single core. To find that core, one must be willing to pay any sacrifice and to give up anything whatsoever. Otherwise, no condition of joy can be established before God. You must discover yourself as one who is making it possible for the absolute realm of the environment to move in that direction.
You must seal up your determination and your declaration that, breaking through the boundary line by which this satanic world has encircled you, you will go before God and hear Him say, “Ah, you have done well.
The moment has come when I, too, can settle at the final point of conclusion, so all is accomplished.” Bear in mind, mind, and mind again the fact that one who cannot stand in such a position is surrounded by the boundary line of hesitation and despair.
You ought to think based on such a standard, so why are you so full of worries and demands? Such demands ought to be presented by God, by Jesus, and by True Parents, but anyone who centers on himself, fails to become one with the Will, and seeks to go ahead of God must vanish without a trace into the flames of judgment.
Is your family the problem?
Are your sons and daughters the problem? Is your wife the problem? Is your nation the problem? Is your world the problem? When the morning sun rises in power and dispels the world of darkness instantly, must not the heaven of liberation and release, where I can abide — that very place from which one can proclaim its authority — begin? You must clearly establish such an origin from your position.
No one who comes to such a person can change him. They may change God before they can change me. Since I am one with all the good historical fruits of God, there is no way the satanic world can sever me.
Have I become such a self that lives upon this conclusion, or not? The natural conclusion is that when one stands in a position of having to answer “yes” or “no,” one must always be able to answer “yes.”
Even when no one believes in you, even when no one publicly recognizes you, you must possess the unshakable authority of the core that stands on its own, and, restoring the hegemonic authority of the only begotten son who consumes the world of darkness instantly like the rising morning sun, you must be able to declare that all has been accomplished. Then, attending even God Himself, you must say, “Father, I must usher You in.”
Where Shall We Find the Image of the Victorious Prince?
If you reflect quietly, there is no precedent in history of such clear teaching as this. As for the teacher, 70 years of history have passed. I have reached 90, and if it is certain that at the age of 17 I received the calling mission of Jesus, then I am made aware that for me now to hesitate or be anxious is itself a contradiction. It is a clear fact that such contradiction must be removed, judged, set in order, and purged. Isn't this self-authority — knowing that nothing can dispute it — the very authority of the hegemonic only begotten son?
Why is Las Vegas necessary? What kind of palace is this?
It is Cheonhwa Gung (天和宮, the Palace of Heavenly Harmony). Without harmony, there can be no starting point of unification. Which comes first — unification or harmony?
We must deny and purge the harmony of the satanic world. Therefore, we must surpass the standard of the nation across its 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th stages, and we must demolish all eight stages of fortress walls all the way up to God.
For this reason, you must seize the position of the only begotten son of freedom, liberation, and release that does not worry even in dreams and become such a victor that God, unable to let you go, embraces you and passes over with you.
Where is the ground on which such a one as I will stand? It is not Las Vegas. It will come into being hereafter. We must surpass even that. That is why Cheonhwa Gung is necessary.
Although this place is not the East, where dawn breaks over the bright heaven and earth after completely consuming all the chronic things of wicked Satan — the things Heaven most despises — we must nevertheless possess the origin point from God by which, from the position of the central core, we can eternally welcome the morning sunlight of liberation.
Until I cast off negative thinking entirely, take up a positive posture, and accomplish the work of guiding God in opening and entering the gates of Heaven, there will be no liberation and release for God.
Even though all the affairs of the world were to push me aside like a tsunami, even though a tsunami greater than the Himalayan range were to come surging upon me, where shall I find the image of the victorious prince who can regard those waves as nothing and fly above them?
At the last moment when I can look back upon Las Vegas, I must be able to say, “Farewell, I am going,” and, attending God, turn away and declare that since there can be no repetition of this place forever, let it vanish. And I think that I must be the one who, attending God, runs once again at the highest speed along the original, unfallen orbit. Where is there a position more certain than that?
You have hesitated much until now, and even presently, you still do not know what to do. Why are you all here? Why have I come here? What do you intend to gain here?
What are you seeking here?
The liberation of God and the origin of true love are embedded here, but until you break through the fortress wall that conceals them, you cannot discover that light.
That is why, refusing no hardship and giving no thought to toil, I labor to occupy the Himalayan range of liberation. Now that I have begun to fly, I must fly faster; now that I have begun to go, I must know the path I have to walk, contending for every moment. It will pass instantly.
Why did Moses strike the rock of living water in the wilderness twice when he was permitted to encounter it only once?
Jesus was not a rock to be struck. Because Satan struck him, the pass that Jesus and God ought to have crossed over with the joy of declaring “It is finished” went uncrossed. Therefore, the pass of fated han (한) stands barring the way — and who will break through this fortress site? The Great Wall is not the issue.
How will you liberate the han-ridden position in which God Himself remains, bound and unable to stir, held in the state of imprisonment (囹圄)?
The teacher has not lived a life of going back and forth. It has been one-way traffic. I mean that I have not walked a winding road. I went looking for prison.
Drawing in the Soviet Union, drawing in the United States, setting up the city of refuge of the world centering on the sphere of liberation of the Pacific, and gazing toward the final battlefield — but where has gone the image of the general, the authority of the patriot, the authority of the loyal subject, and the righteous martyr who ought to stand guard centering on you?
You Must Surpass the Archangel
Teacher is suffering this much; if money is needed, you must earn it and supply it, and if a nation is needed, you must build it and offer it up to me — yet you are doing the opposite, and even so, you do not know how to be grateful.
As I concluded, I was the only one left. Like Elijah, like Jesus, like God Himself, I say, “Only I am left.” Even God, with no recourse, says, “Only I am left.”
Who liberated the fortress of Jerusalem?
Upon the very rock where Abraham was about to offer Isaac, Islam built a great temple. Who will remove the dominion of Islam? When Moses fashioned the Ark of the Covenant, it was said that should there be so much as a shadow's trace passing before that Ark, not only the individual but the nation would perish.
Where, then, have all those who carried Moses' Ark of the Covenant and went out urging liberation?
Inside the Ark were the rock and the manna. Holding fast to it and following the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud, what became of the spring of living water that you found? Centering on the history of striking the rock twice, you ought to have purged things doubly and triply.
Who is going to bore a hole even to the very bottom of hell and rescue the figures of human beings who cling upside down in unseen pitch-black chaos?
Aren't True Parents pitiful?
Even God is said to be pitiful but cannot help. Among you, who has ever stepped forward saying he would help the teacher?
You must fulfill number seven. Unless Blessed Families connect bloodlines to their kin in groups of 430 families, they will vanish. It is the number seven.
Why has Christianity until now kept one day after six as the Sabbath?
For how many thousands of years? They have kept the Sabbath for 2,000 years. What about our Unification Church? Are we a group that keeps the Sabbath (안식일), or a group that attends Ahn Shi Il (안시일)? We are a group that attends, but what are these states of yours? It is a willful uproar.
I do not go back and forth according to the wind of such willful carrying on. What of the garments you wear that have been swept off by that wind? I must go east, but along that wind the garments go west.
So, when will the groups who know nothing but how to gaze upon the garments going west realize that their bodies are going east?
All the affairs of the world are not before their eyes. Even in the heaven God shall guide, there is nothing they themselves can direct. They stand in a void of utter emptiness. Is this not the very position in which even God cannot stir?
Does God do as He pleases?
Even President Moon cannot do as he pleases. That is something you must liberate.
To achieve that, you must surpass the archangel. You must become the elder brother of the archangel and his father, and from the single central position in which there is not even a shadow of the satanic world, in the noon of noonday settlement — what must you do?
The light of the sun must shine eternally. President Moon has come forth, gazing upon such a thing as his standard. President Moon, remaining here, may be beaten to death or driven to his death. Centering on this position where I struggle alone, dashed against a hidden reef, with no means to ward off a tsunami rushing in from a mere few miles away, there is nowhere True Parents can turn.
I am in the same position as Jesus, who said, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
Unless an elevator is connected, rising in a straight line above the horizontal and leading directly to the throne of glory where God is present, there is no victorious nation and original homeland for which God must hope and which He must surpass in the Second Eden. That is the clean conclusion.
Though Noah built an ark on top of a mountain, he was not a mad old man.
President Moon, too, is not a madman. In my life until now, prison has not been only six times. Even if it were thousands of times that I had to live in such a prison, this is Reverend Moon who sought to console God, not to pray to God to save me.
Where Is the Burial Place of True Parents?
This time I have come to Las Vegas for the nineteenth time. The nine years are not yet ended. It has not yet been ten years.
Teacher, in his life at the age of 90, is pouring in all his energy to gather the beauty of a fitting end, but what have you brought with which to invest?
Even if you have a nation of your own, that nation is not our homeland. They are all nations destined to vanish.
You must follow wherever I go; you cannot step out ahead and tell me to do this or that, nor can you say you do not wish to. I think that, igniting gasoline several hundred times more powerful than thinner with a bang, this place too should vanish — let it all be gone. I have not the slightest attachment.
Now I think I must build, not a planet floating in the sky like some new Earth, but a fixed star, and move there so that at least I may survive.
I cannot leave a tomb for God behind when I go. In the world, they have made a tomb beneath the temple of the Vatican, have they not? Where is the tomb of Jesus?
Where is the gravesite of True Parents?
Is it at Cheon Jeong Gung? Who set it up that way?
I am indifferent. With the nation set behind us and the world set behind us, the presidents of the religious sphere joined together — where is the base of the Abel UN they built? I am asking where the burial place of the True Parents is.
President George W. Bush has set up a fine resting place centered on a royal estate of 900 acres in Houston. But where has the burial place of the True Parents been set up? You crowds who do not know the Abel UN — where is the common cemetery?
Is a teacher one who goes searching for a common cemetery? I am one who does not dream of leaving any title of ownership behind, so I will not seek to leave a burial plot either.
Do you think Reverend Moon — who has no intention of becoming food for the eagles, but who knows the burial ground he must go to as the offering that will be consumed by fire at the highest place in the world — would come to a shabby place like this and stay even a single night?
Why did you seek me out here? Is this not the final place?
I announced in 1996 that I would depart the United States, but to this day, I am a wanderer in the air. Where is the place for the teacher to abide, and where is the place for him to stand?
You go looking to see where President Moon has gone, do you not?
If they knew, the members of the established churches could do anything at all.
What kind of army has been dispatched here?
Do the peace army of the Heavenly Kingdom and the police of the Heavenly Kingdom stand guard for me? I am alone. While unable even to help with such things, you come and present your requests and complain about this and that.
She was Lot's wife, who became a pillar of salt. When Sodom and Gomorrah were burning, she looked back along the road of escape and became a pillar of salt, did she not? What this means is that you, too, can become pillars of salt.
If even tomorrow this place were to burn up, then, like Lot's wife, saying, “Why must this precious thing burn? What a harsh God! Why does He not understand our situation and yet seek to destroy us?” — you would look back and become pillars of salt.
Teacher's Original Garden
You owners must come to your senses.
If, in the midst of the most fearful and dreadful garden, swords and guns are taken up, cannons are mounted, and the buttons of the hydrogen bomb and the atomic bomb are pressed all at once, even Teacher will disappear.
Even God will disappear. I say to God, “You must go ahead and lead. Now, having come searching for a multitude of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, will You, having come to the final position, fear the hydrogen bomb, fear the atomic bomb? Is there any way for you to escape the fault of having failed to protect Adam's family in the Garden of Eden?”
President Moon does not even dream of trying to live apart from God. You must know the root. You must know what kind of person the teacher is. Wasn't the coming of Jesus also on Teacher's account, and was not the preparation of John the Baptist also on Teacher's account, and was not even the judgment of Noah on Teacher's account?
Do you know that because Abraham failed to split one of the pigeons among his offerings, God was upon the gallows for 430 years?
If only the button is pressed, what will happen on the day Satan vanishes?
It can become a day on which even God vanishes. At the time when the button could be pressed from such a position, how can it be that the returning Lord has come and not pressed the button?
The returning Lord has nothing within the nation. Is there even the position of a county magistrate or a township head? President Moon does not even have the position of a township head.
The name “Reverend Moon” — I appended it myself. I myself fastened on the position of True Parents as well. There was no one to fasten it upon me.
How many times was it that I went to fasten upon myself the signboard of “Reverend Moon”? I went to prison up to six times. On the seventh, I passed through the jaws of death and came out. To this day, no burial site, no original estate, has come into being. The teacher has no original estate.
Where is the teacher's original garden? It is not Cheon Jeong Gung. Even if it were heaped up with gold, silver, and precious stones, the Teacher has no thought of going there to lie down.
What would I do at Cheon Jeong Gung?
Do I intend to make the teacher's gravesite there? A gravesite must be called a representative position, centering on Heaven and Earth. Without receiving God's permission, I cannot decide.
Why have I come here as many as nineteen times in one year to carry on this performance? Is it because the teacher enjoys it? There is no other purpose than to protect the Principle, to protect the Wonli Bonchaeron, and to protect God.
I have centered on that calling, honored God's intention, and kept this principle until now; I have not stepped forward to act on my own like a self-styled general. When I explained the Bonchaeron in Hawaii, all of you came to know it for the first time.
Have you known the Bonchaeron until now?
Have you so much as dreamed of it? Father prepared it for several decades, but no one knew. Just like that, in this clean way, all has been brought to completion.
I have also received God's permission and prepared a textbook that can be used eternally. Not a single word of mine is contained in it. Without any lingering attachment to the providential world, I have prepared the original text and textbook indispensable for establishing kingly authority in God's stead. Is this a fact or not? “It is a fact.”
I have completed the substantial, actual model itself, a model that not a single person can say is not a fact. What kind of model is this model? It is one shaped and made into a form that could serve as the model in the past, that serves as the model today, and that can serve as the model eternally.
Such are the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong, the Family Pledge, Pyeonghwa-ui Juin, Hyeoltong-ui Juin (Owner of Peace, Owner of Lineage), and then Cheonguk-eul Yeoneun Mun Chamgajeong (True Family: Gateway to Heaven).
Including these, I have completed seven volumes of original texts and textbooks. So now we must prepare to depart.
You Must Fulfill the Calling Responsibility of Tribal Messiah
At the time of Noah's judgment, centering on the first day of June, we held a rally at COEX. Because the time had come when the solar and lunar calendars could be made one, and because I had finished making the autobiography and the textbook there, we held the rally.
Then we held another rally on December 20, before Christmas. In the supplementary copy of that volume, I declared that Las Vegas is the final bridgehead.
The original textbooks and instructional materials have all been prepared. Even the seven volumes have all come out.
If you are Blessed Families, what must you do, group by group of 430 families?
I have proclaimed that, since these can become the bridge that can carry you across the level of the nation and the world, you must, before this comes to an end, settle the matter of 430 families each and complete the Blessing.
You must distribute the autobiography in sets of 430 volumes, install them in homes, and, from the grandfather down through three generations, hold a council and decide whether to follow President Moon.
Only then can President Moon proclaim the liberation of God under the decision of the whole, can he not? Only then will God also move. With even this not finished, will God say He is going to step forward, or not?
If there is no constitution, can you set up the law for building a house? Can it come to pass, or not?
You must have a nation before you have a constitution; if there is no constitution, what laws of dwelling, what laws of the house, can there be?
You must, centering on your parents and brothers and your kin, fulfill the calling responsibility of the Tribal Messiah. You must cross five stages all the way to the nation, but Satan is standing guard. Do you have the confidence to set in order the complex things of the spirit world?
It is only if I do not die but remain on the earth that things will be resolved; what will happen if I go to the spirit world? Before that happens, I have prepared the textbooks and instructional materials.
If matters proceed accordingly, will the effect be greater than my being alive, or not?
If you exhaust the devotion you have and do ten times, a hundred times, or even a thousand times what I have done, then you will all enter Heaven with room to spare.
You will surpass the position of prince and princess of the Heavenly Kingdom.
