Let us continue with Hoon Dok. “From page 278 of volume 3 of the Sermon Anthology (말씀선집), 'Let Us Cross the Hill of Historic Tragedy.' This is the message given on Sunday, January 19, 1958.” Why do we repeat this? It is to awaken our mission anew—we who had been indifferent toward Christianity. We must enter the churches, gather those who have faith, and go over this again and again.
We Must Revive the Heart of Teachers' Youth
At that time, Teacher was not yet forty, and Mother had not yet been attended. It was the time when persecution was at its height, and we could not pay attention to Christianity. Because the whole of the religious world was opposed to us, they were not our corresponding partners but stood in the position of contending partners.
We kept our distance from them, and because we, in a position apart from theirs, had risen to a place higher than they, we were proud.
Now we must pick that up again, reorganize everything as it was in the old days, and so restore the time that was lost. The words Teacher spoke in his youth and the words he speaks today are the same.
Rather, the words of that time were higher, more fervent, and filled with the gravity of a heart that could contend for victory or defeat as it collided with its target. To that very degree, the heart (심정) can be revived and set on fire once again.
The teacher held such a thought in his youth, and now, when this Will has been entirely accomplished, when he has crossed the hill and stands gazing from the historic summit, there is no one able to take responsibility for it.
For this reason, we must gather ourselves once more, and, with the heart of one meeting again the parent who had been lost, we must revive ourselves from the root of true love.
The teacher himself is passing through his ninetieth year.
How many years ago was he thirty-eight?
If that was the era of youth, this is the era of the grandfather; yet I feel that the era of the grandfather is, on the contrary, inferior to that earlier era. When I consider the content of the message, I know. Therefore, we must truly gather our devotion and revive the old days.
It was an era when the spirit world could not cooperate and an era when your ancestors could not establish a relationship with you. It was a time when all of them had your ancestors stand at the head of those who opposed.
Now Satan has withdrawn, and we have met the era when the spiritual and physical worlds together can cooperate, when your ancestors can come and revive and educate you yourselves.
This is a time when even Satan can become a hedge and stand guard; this is the very moment when the root of true love can be planted. You must know that this is a good era in which we can connect with a new ecological origin—an origin in which there has been no Fall in either the spirit world or the physical world.
If you yourselves, rather than criticizing from a high seat, can be wholly surrounded by and assimilated into that Word, then the origin by which you become one with the ancestors of the spirit and physical worlds is revived.
Then, before us, there will be no road of persecution, but only the road of welcome. Yet, although your ancestors are hoping that you will add still more loyalty before the Will, if you do not reach that mark, they will take you away.
The First Ancestor You Meet, the First King You Meet
At this time, what will become of the two groups—those who were close to the Unification Church and those who opposed the Unification Church, the contending and the corresponding factions?
They cannot stand before the completed Will, and if they fail to form a realm of oneness through which they can advance further from a favorable position, what will become of them?
The teacher is going into the dimension where he can develop and advance, yet when even those who push you yourselves forward come to naught, the spirit world takes you away.
Look. The presidents of Korea have begun to pass on. Even those who were profoundly associated with the Teacher for several decades are being taken away by their ancestors. They ought to stand in that place and plant a new seed in a new ground where greater development can occur, raising it; they ought to cooperate in place of the teacher, who once labored in the position of parent in the old days. But if they go ahead and oppose, they are taken away.
Truly, a fearsome era is coming, when the history of dividing good and evil unfolds completely.
Therefore, insofar as it is possible, I withdraw from the era in which I actually met them face-to-face.
What words can a man over ninety speak, and what guidance can he give?
Such a system does not exist in the satanic world. Nor do you yourselves desire it. You say, “Aigo, if only he were not a grandfather but a young man, how good that would be!” A man of ninety cannot sit together with people who are not even a third—not even half—of the teacher's age.
For this reason, so that this may be made one, your ancestors are descending from the spirit world. In the spirit world, one lives as a young person. One does not go to the spirit world to live as an aged person.
If they have lived a life of grace, they come bearing the burning heart of the young manhood of that era, and, as deputies of the Teacher, they go before you.
If you have not become one with the words Teacher has left behind, the ancestors mean to encourage and educate you so that you can become one centered on the Word. But if you do not listen, they take you away. You receive indemnity. You are cleanly removed.
When you were told to give the Blessing to the 430 couples of clansmen, the meaning was to do just that. You can become one shortly. The spirit world, too, is hoping to cooperate in this, to become one with the True Parents and cross over the hill together. The ancestors are cooperating; what becomes of it if you, sitting there, become an obstruction?
The Word of Teacher's youthful era and the ancestors are uniting to quickly remove the imperfect environment of Teacher's aged era; yet if you delay, playing around as in the old days, saying, “Aigo, it seems we don't have to witness. It seems we can rest!”—then you receive indemnity. Your sons and daughters must all pay indemnity. It is the realm of three generations.
It must be done centered on three and seven generations. That is structured as a range called a category. If it is not done in three generations, all seven generations are affected. The origin by which the spirit world can develop is obstructed.
In an era when young fellows ought to be adding loyalty before Teacher—who is like a grandfather—they fall behind and say, “Parents who cannot help me are unnecessary; I will do as I please.” That will not do. The era has changed. Do you understand? “Yes.” Do not get caught on that.
The era of indemnity has been missed, but for the teacher, the indemnity has all passed. Now you must serve. He is the ancestor of your clan. He is the first ancestor you meet, the first king you meet.
The Korean people are a people who attend God. There are no other such people. The era of the providence to divide good and evil within the satanic world—God Himself bestowed such an era and realm. To attend to God, one must attend to Him beginning from the individual position.
From your womb period (복중시대), through childhood, youth, prime, and old age until death, you could not attend God, but the Teacher attended Him and crossed the hill of the world.
Therefore, he is the Owner of Peace and the Owner of Lineage.
The Foundation Where the Word and Substance Are One Cannot Be Opposed by the Satanic World
The people who speak the Korean language will not perish. There are 193 nations belonging to the United Nations in the world, but not one nation has a mainstream thought of attending God.
Do you think it is because the Korean people are excellent that, within some forty years after liberation, they rose to the world's summit?
It is because the Providence Teachers' accomplishments serve as the foundation. The highway has been paved.
Because that highway has been paved, Satan cannot go ahead on that highway. When that highway did not exist, high walls had been built and many boundary lines drawn; the teacher fought alone and tore down and dismantled them all. The books here are the secret teaching materials of the Heavenly Kingdom; there is not one secret of Reverend Moon's in them. Reverend Moon came to accomplish this.
The Word is the subject; I am not the subject. I came forth, attending Heaven together with the Word. The foundation where the Word and substance are one cannot be opposed by the satanic world. The more it opposes, the more it receives indemnity. It becomes reversed.
When force has been used to push me away, if I am not wounded by the force pushing me away, and instead I receive it and push back, then by reaction, the one who pushed falls himself. A fearsome era has come.
All things must be judged centered on the Teacher's Word and proclaimed, and that proclamation must be put into practice. The era has changed. It is not a time to act for yourselves. It is a time for you to act for the nation and the world for which Teacher was acting; if, instead, you idle and feast and, because the Will has been fulfilled, even do mischief and turn into opposition, you receive indemnity. You will be turned back.
Therefore, when you turn to face the place where the sun rises, you must face it head-on. When you spread out your arms in that place, you must know that the right side is the south. The right is the south, and the left is the north. That is the formula. It is a formula firmly fixed, so wherever I go—whether to America or anywhere on the globe—since the place where the sun rises is the east, that is what designates direction.
Even if I just go to England from here, there is a difference of eight to nine hours. Going to America, there is a difference of twelve to thirteen hours; when the sun rises there, one must look and say, “That direction is the east.” But what becomes of someone who does not know how to distinguish east, west, south, and north, and yet thinks he is dealing with the Will? Such people are madmen. The more such people labor, the more they hinder; they cannot help.
Wherever one goes, when one rises in the morning, one stands facing the place where the sun rises. At sunset, it is the reverse. When the sun sets, the direction is 180 degrees from the morning.
Looking centered on the place where the sun sets, the left side is the south and the right side is the north. People live as fools who do not know this. When one is developing, the hill of development goes up like this; do it the other way, and it contracts. So the more one ages, the more the hope of one's youthful era is lost.
When you sleep, you cannot sleep in the same position throughout all twelve months of the year.
Since the four directions have been divided, you must align east and west. Standing centered on the east, the right side is south, and the left side is north.
So you must distinguish direction even when sleeping. That is precious. You must live in alignment. So it is also with speaking. When the time differs by some hours, the direction of speaking differs. With such preparation, one comes out before the masses.
Then the Word has its proper authority as the Word. You must face the sunlight head-on; if you turn your back and look at it, what does that sunlight have to do with you?
The sunlight will strike you down. This is a fearsome word. Do you understand? “Yes.” You must rise when the sun rises in the morning—will it do to be asleep? You must know this formula.
Even going to Japan, the difference widens. As the difference widens, since the position of sunrise differs, you must adjust to it. Centered on the face-on position, the bridge of my nose and the direction must coincide. That road is not winding. I am going on that road.
If you go that way for ten years, you will rise to the height of your destination, not descend. He is teaching you an important thing.
Even if one becomes a university professor or a person in charge, if one does not know such things, in three years—not even ten—everything becomes hateful. One says, “I'd rather not do this work anymore. I want to move somewhere else.” Why? Because one cannot align the direction. Throughout one's life, climbing, one ascends ever higher and gazes at the heights.
When one reaches a high mountaintop, the world gathers itself before one's eyes. Don't distant things come near? You must know this formula. He is teaching you something important.
Go Forward Centered on the Word
Even in coming here, if the teacher is a few minutes late, if his timing is off, he cannot stand with confidence. He must say, “I am sorry,” and align his heart. When you come from a far place like Busan, how difficult is it?
Can coming in January be the same as coming in October?
People who live misjudging such things cannot take anything with them when they die.
No one should abandon their position and die. Even in the hour of one's death, one must greet the morning sunlight and say, “Together with you I shall enter the world of night.”
One cannot turn one's back on the light. Attending the light, one crosses over together with God. The one who goes that way is not disheartened even in the hour of dying.
However good Busan may be, when ten, twenty, or thirty years pass, the world turns and heavenly fortune (천운) shifts as well. The words by which Reverend Moon was taught from his youth, centered on the Will, are the same. I knew all this before I was twenty.
Undoubtedly, although I did not know whether the road I must walk would take fifty years or a hundred.
Even now, the direction I am walking is as unchanging as the rising and setting of the sun, but because the people, the families, and those who follow cannot align with that direction, even though I go my own way, I end up going a far distance from them. Because the time has come for me to go in just this way, I cast away the people, I cast away everything, and I go. It is the road on which I must sever relations with you, and even if you come seeking me, I must go without meeting you.
What, then, will happen?
There are these words. These are at once the words of Teacher's youth and the words of one who, having fought through his whole life, stands in the position of victorious dominion.
From his earliest days, Teacher embraced these very same words and gave his life to accomplish them. But if you create a gap from which you can fall away, and the ones who should follow cannot follow, then even those who first believed in the Unification Church will be unable to meet me eternally. This is a fearsome word.
When you grow up, why does the heart that loved mother and father in childhood disappear?
It must be like the heart of a mother loving her child.
Since the morning sunlight has shifted by so many degrees, you also must align with it as the mother does. Centered on the east where the sun rises, the right is south, and the left is north—align with how that direction shifts.
Therefore, even in worship, one must worship together with mother; even in sleeping, one must sleep together with mother. If one lives that way for ten years, the heart-position like a mother's is acquired, and an era-realm is linked in which I cannot but follow wherever my mother goes.
No one should let their thoughts go first. Try living and saying, “Teacher lives in his way, and I live in mine!”
However much one reads the Word, that Word has nothing to do with one.
But what becomes of one when, not centered on oneself but on the Word, one goes forward?
The transcendent power of the Word—that power which, when Teacher in his vigorous youth raised his voice in command, made him long for all heaven and earth to kneel before it—becomes alive. Do you understand? “Yes.”
How to Stand in the Position of the Victorious Dominion the True Parents Have Achieved
Is this year the year of the White Tiger, isn't it? “Yes.” What is the White Tiger?
Now, having gained victory in all things, one must depart in old age—how do you think of it? One wishes to continue living in the garden where one has lived—in a garden where there is no more opposition and where one's children prepare the food.
If one does as such, as a parent has done, one stands in the victorious position of dominion that the parent has accomplished.
Even if one is only ten years old, if one can resonate with what a grandfather of ninety has accomplished, how much strength would arise, how much vigor? Young people are living, having lost an era in which they could have aligned themselves within one year.
Do not become the perished ones who do not know such bitterness of injustice. Whoever dies, he loses it all and goes. The teacher teaches you the way not to lose it. Do you understand? “Yes.”
How can one know the unforgettable heart of one's school days?
One must know how to align, as in standing cross-formed facing the east where the morning sun rises.
So, having reached the last days of today, what is it that you must know? Can you meet again the thirty-eight-year-old Teacher of whom the Word spoke?
You can no longer meet at that time, but it is all alive here. Even though the teacher grows old and passes away, those very roots live on more vigorously green.
If you go to Yongmun Mountain, there is a ginkgo tree said to be over eleven hundred years old, but it is not just eleven hundred years old. Looking at its ancestors, there is a tradition that has grown from a root of tens of thousands of years. Such a history is steeped in it.
If you align that tradition with east, west, south, and north so that you can follow it anywhere, and live assimilated to the Word of that era, what happens?
The ginkgo tree, without dying, has grown for over a thousand years; you can pluck the fruit of the value of life from the very same tree.
You must know the fact that you can pluck the fruit of a seed planted thirteen hundred years ago. You must know how important that is. Because you have come with difficulty from Busan, he teaches you such precious things. You cannot live carelessly. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Therefore, Teacher, though he is past ninety, does not know weariness. Whenever he becomes weary, he makes time for a massage or exercise. The one who gives the teacher a massage is a young person, but she feels the glory of giving a massage while attending the ancestor.
She says, “Imagine, I am giving a massage to such a grandfather!” He is a grandfather in a position that the people of the world can revere.
When such a grandfather was young, in the era when his spirit was bold and dignified, he was persecuted and had to flee. But now all heaven and earth welcome and attend him.
If you received grace from a teacher in the past, please keep that teacher in mind. Set up that teacher's picture; centered on the diploma and the picture, you must attend to that teacher.
In those days, my vigor was bursting forth; I did not know such an era of Teacher, but together with the Word, I came to know it. That is why teaching materials are necessary. Say it: “Teaching materials!” “Teaching materials!” Teaching materials and a textbook are necessary. A textbook anyone can make.
If you contact the university, you can make a textbook. But what about teaching materials? Scholars of the world all know what Reverend Moon is doing. You don't need to explain.
Teaching materials are not Korea's alone. While traveling for a lifetime through the spirit world and the physical world, you cannot imagine how much I was persecuted.
Though the whole world attacked me with every strategic plan they could, they could not take me down.
The victorious dominion that prevailed in that battle is hidden within them like the sun.
You all are like this. Why is the religious realm perishing?
Christianity has perished, Buddhism has perished, Confucianism has perished. They are all dead.
The problem is how to revive them. There are no teaching materials by which to do so. There are no Christian teaching materials, no Buddhist teaching materials, no Muslim teaching materials. Korea itself has no teaching materials.
Teaching Materials That Record the Decisive Dominion of Victory and Defeat
Korea is the nation that attends God. Attending God, the people know that if they are not one with that God, they will receive punishment. So they are a fearsome people. They will absolutely not perish.
When I was three years old, I heard from Heaven the word, “Japan will surrender before you.” Whatever it is, waiting is tedious, but the more tedious it is, the worse it is not. The greatest is the accomplishment of victorious dominion. I knew this from the time I was small.
It was this: if I were to become one with my grandfather and to attend to my grandfather more than I attended to God, then a record greater than attending to God would be tied to me.
Who could have drawn such a conclusion?
Even today, would an elementary school teacher know such a conclusion? Would a middle school teacher know, a high school teacher, or a university professor? Even among supervising professors of doctoral programs, the greedy ones squeeze and exploit their students. And what is the point of becoming a doctor?
The ancestors who have gone to the spirit world will oppose them. “How dare you come here without having become one with me and try to stand in a position above mine?” they say. All things bound to the ancestors are in relationship.
Everything is a relationship. Is it not so? It is the parent-child relationship, the husband-wife relationship. The parent-child relationship is eternal. Is the husband-wife relationship also eternal? They commit adultery and do all sorts of things.
When one has loved falsely, the wife goes to that husband and bites him. She tramples him, taking him for Satan, the devil. After committing adultery, he comes back saying, “I know only you and love only you”—he is the swindler among swindlers, the chieftain among liars. He has no root in the garden of love, nothing at all. Let him die and see. They will say it is good that he died. The wife will have said, “Hurry and die!”
I cannot see who is before me.
Where have the True Parents gone?
They have not died. They have made the teaching materials. They are not my teaching materials but God's teaching materials. The teaching materials that record the decisive dominion of victory and defeat throughout a whole life are alive.
Even when you have died and disappeared, these teaching materials will live for hundreds of millions of years. To those who reference and study these and reach this standard, the victorious dominion is transmitted. You must know the fact that a fearsome history is being revived.
What have you come here for? Whom have you come to meet?
Quickly distribute the Teacher's 430 autobiographies into the tribal realm with your hands. From now on, if these teaching materials are mentioned throughout heaven and earth, there will be no one who does not know.
Centered on the teaching materials, morning and evening, devote yourselves with the resolve, “Let us, as our family, inherit the blessings the parents have left in tears.”
If you discern those tear tracks and act accordingly, you will be assimilated in just three years of following. It will not even take three months.
After listening to the Word for a week, even for three days, one is assimilated.
When teaching materials have arisen that record the victorious dominion of heaven and earth—able to do that very thing—what else are you looking for? Born inside that and growing up within it, even if one departs after just one week, what becomes of his descendants?
Within the victorious dominion of the True Parents, they will be able to live in cohabitation with God. They can take part even up to a position higher than the one where Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden, could have married before age twenty-four and established a Blessed Family.
When you die, you will say, “Aigo, Teacher has gone to that Kingdom of Heaven—why have I ended up in this state?”
Because you allowed yourselves to fall into that state, you have ended up that way; I did not tell you to become that. With a true heart, I poured my whole life into digging a single pit and boring a single tunnel—not two tunnels. One tunnel. I prepared everything so that, without toil, you could simply ride and fly there by car and by airplane. Then try saying, “I don't need the airplane, I don't need the train, I don't need the car. I will walk.” That is not even fit for the manure heap.
The Principle of Absolute Faith, Absolute Love, Absolute Obedience
The sun is the center. When there is sunlight, all life follows toward the side where the light is. Say it: “Sunlight!” “Sunlight!” Sunlight, air, water, and the ground.
What relationship do you have with sunlight, air, water, and the ground?
If the ground has nothing to do with you, water nothing to do with you, air nothing to do with you, and sunlight nothing to do with you—then what are you? You are monsters who ruin the nation, riddle-creatures who destroy the people. You are beings more frightful than goblins.
Each one's life is not so irresponsible. You were born to stand in a place where there is no shadow under the sunlight; can a person who, wherever he goes, goes and lives in shadow have liberation, joy, or satisfaction?
When something good happens in the nation, you must say, “That happened for my sake!” Some day at noon, if something good happens somewhere, when living aligned with that sunlight, you must be able to say, “That happened for my sake.”
Who created that bitterly unjust life that misses the very subject-object relationship by which such a direct connection could have been formed?
Satan made it that way. I do not concern myself with the monstrous riffraff of the political world of the Republic of Korea. Because the time will come when they must be set in order; when the time comes for me to stand, what will become of such a crowd? When I become day, what will become of them? There can be no night under sunlight. Do you understand?
What is the freezing point?
It is the mother body where water can freeze. However vast the sea may be, where does the freezing point arise? When the temperature reaches freezing, the freezing point becomes the root and grows, and the whole sea freezes. The freezing point is not two; it is one. The time of receiving grace is not always at hand. Can such a time be every single day?
Because there remains in the world of relations a way to form a subject-object relationship, you struggle, saying you will live for the sake of all heaven and earth, but where has that desire all gone?
Looking at his face and saying he is handsome makes one a thief; saying she is beautiful makes her the bewitcher among bewitchers. When each other is unnecessary, they kick each other aside; when unnecessary, they wish the other would die quickly.
The era has come when the wife seizes and kills the husband. The era has come when the husband kills the wife, the son kills the father, and brothers kill each other. Whom can you believe?
Do I believe the people of Gyeongsang Province?
Do you believe, Teacher? Do you believe, or do you not? “We believe.” You say you will believe, but believe in what? What percentage do you believe?
At this very hour, the Teacher remains on the final front line, fighting at a remaining ridge with life and death at stake; what are you doing, having entered the Unification Church?
When the Last Days come, I turn around not just 180 degrees but 1,800 degrees, yet you cannot follow. If the teacher tells everyone to die, can you die? If everyone dies, they live.
God's textbook and teaching materials have appeared and say these things, and you must conform to them. The principle of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience is the footstool by which I must walk eternally. It is a foothold the feet can tread. The goal does not change.
So if I simply wait together with it and labor, the unified victorious dominion is automatically connected and accomplished. There is no need for worry.
What Relationship Do You Have with a Teacher?
This is not the time for me to shed tears over you. Even if there is reason to scold the one who comes seeking me, I keep my mouth shut as though I do not know. I am the chieftain of the doctrine of silence. Not only did my mother and father, but even my grandfather, fear me.
When the new year came and I greeted my grandfather, I did so with all sincerity.
When making the New Year's bow more than the year before, I rose ten years higher in my seat and bowed, asking, “Grandfather, what is the wish you can hope for in this eleventh year?” That was not slacking. It was not a play.
Am I your teacher, or what am I?
Is it because the blood lineage has become one that you and I cannot be separated? At all times, one must be attached to the trunk centered on the root and attached to the branches. When the bud falls off the branch, a flower cannot bloom.
At the beginning, in the Unification Church, you held fervor, but what has happened after ten years?
Who is there who knows about the Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheon Ju An Shik Gwon (천지부모천주안식권)? What does that mean? What relationship do you have with the Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheon Ju An Shik Gwon?
What relationship do heaven and earth have with parents?
What do Cheon Ju (the heavenly house, the Cosmos) and the garden of Sabbath rest have to do with me? What relationship does it have with Cheon Jeong Gung? The calligraphic inscription hangs here; “Cheon Ji Bu Mo Cheon Ju An Shik Gwon” was proclaimed on July 7, 1997. What relationship does it have with you?
“The Owner of Peace, the Owner of Lineage”—how many times does the moment of becoming the owner come? The one second was treated as important—the one second.
When the teacher, speaking of his world, says, “It is done,” the one who is finished is finished, but if one cannot enter into the realm of authority of that one second when he says it is done, there is no relationship. Since he has dug it open even to this depth, when you die, you will have nothing for which to reproach Reverend Moon. He has taught you everything.
All the history is contained in this one book. The essence of the content of the sermons the teacher has given over ninety years is all contained here.
Even the master who holds the key to the world's museum, the world's treasure vault, cannot possess this. He cannot snatch the manuscripts. Insofar as differences arise according to how it is taken, he will be caught in a condition of judgment.
No one can take this notebook away.
If one tried to buy it with money—the total wealth of the millions of Unification Church members combined, all that is bound up with them, before and after—that could not be exchanged for this notebook. That is how I regard it, but what relationship do you have with this book? Have you tried loving it?
Reverend Moon has made volumes 2 and 3 of World Scripture and has even made an encyclopedia; what relationship do you have with that?
What relationship do you have with the teacher?
This arose from the origin of history in which the Owner of Lineage has been present. From the very beginning, God has been here as the Owner of the Han people, the Baedal people, and the Dongi people. From the time you were in the womb, He has said, “I am the God of your nation; I am your God.” Did you know that?
He is at once the Owner of the eighty million people of the Republic of Korea and my Owner, my King. Can the King of that nation, the Owner of that nation, change? Whether for a thousand years or ten thousand years, only when they become one are they sons and daughters of the unifying God, the blood relations of God. What a fearsome word it is! I am teaching you this without error. It is not a lie; it is a fact.
The Posture of the Owner of the Heavenly Kingdom
In my wallet, there are always two million won. The teacher does not know it, but passing by, if there is someone who calls out, “Teacher!” with tears and bows down in worship, without hesitation, he takes the money from his wallet and gives it. A million won or ten billion won, is not the issue. He is searching for a partner so worthy.
What is important is the parent-child relationship. There can be no such thing as a relationship apart from bonds. It is a relationship centered on tens of millions of bonds. How fearsome is the husband-wife relationship!
Can one freely commit adultery, beating one's wife as one pleases?
Having committed a wrong that even destroying seven, nine, or thirteen clans could not settle, one stands proudly and says, “What sin have I committed? I came home at dawn—you should praise me; why on earth do you scold?” What bond is there? It is a fearful position.
Therefore, even if I die in this land at over ninety, or over one hundred and ten, I must stack up the substantial offering of the fact that I came to this land.
There is no such library outside the Unification Church.
This book is not in the Heavenly Kingdom either. This will be placed in the library of the Heavenly Kingdom for the first time. Since there were no teaching materials of God's, Reverend Moon, before dying, sets these out there and departs. Do you understand?
These teaching materials are not those of Moon Sun Myung, founder of the Unification Church. They are God's textbook, God's teaching materials. I have made them with all my devotion that they may be raised to the most precious position in the museum of the Heavenly Kingdom.
God says, “Wow, how ever did you put even floral patterns here! I had only thought of the original stacked paper, but you made a volume and have made such teaching materials! When God looks upon them, He kisses them. He says, “I want to enter therein and live.”
God is like that—what about you? What relationship do you have with the temple here? What relationship do you have, I say, with these teaching materials?
If there is an ideal Kingdom of Heaven, God is not a God who wishes it to be a kingdom inferior to Himself. When He sets up a deputy, He sets up someone greater than Himself as His deputy. Whether it is the deputy of the family or of the king, He wishes to set up one who can become a still greater deputy and pass it down as an inheritance. That is the posture of the Owner of the Heavenly Kingdom, who holds the highest standard of desire.
God is one. The starting point is one, and I, who am added to that as a son of God, am one and not two. There are no two. Say it: “Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division!” “Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division!” You have studied addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, but what does that do? What is that doing with numbers? They are numbers by which one can distinguish good and bad.
What is good? Is it good to eat and play, or to eat and sleep? Can you endure forever without sleeping?
Will you only eat? It is not a thing to laugh at. You cannot imagine how serious it is. From the age of three, I was caught on this very question and wept and wailed over it. I heard the words that God exists, but He could not teach me.
When I asked, “What should I do?” the answer was, “You must solve it.” “Though I know, if I teach you, you will not be able, in my stead, to discern and walk the road that comes after. There you must wither and die,” He said.
Who was Reverend Moon's master?
Not his father, not his mother. Not his grandfather either. From my grandfather, we grew up with the signboard of a patriotic family for the nation. Moon Chi Guk, his younger brother Moon Shin Guk, and, thereafter, Moon Yun Guk. It was the character yun (潤), meaning “abundance/overflow.” We grew up in a wealthy household that could govern, that could surpass faith, and that had a surplus of agricultural produce to eat and to spare.
Grandfather Moon Chi Guk did not even attend a village school; he grew up alone without a teacher. In ages past, because the ancestors going back to the great-uncles were famous, people would come seeking our grandfather.
Grandfather had not even learned the Cheonjamun (Thousand Character Classic) and did not know things like the Mujesi, the Myeongsim Bogam, or the Sohak. He had never learned at school, but whatever he heard once, he remembered for a hundred or a thousand years.
Why is it that Reverend Moon, born as a descendant of such a household, has ended up in such a wretched state, meeting an unbelievable crowd and bound to the fate of speaking words of bitter regret? It is because of the nation.
Since the nation is in such a state, to resolve the nation's fate, one must raise people. One must raise the people of Busan, and one must raise and feed Jeolla Province, the enemy of Busan.
Above them, the people of Gangwon Province are a crowd who, if they fall from the cliff-mountains of the East Sea coast, will flow into the unfathomable sea of the Pacific.
From Hamgyeong Province through Gangwon and Gyeongsang Provinces is the cliff of the East Sea coast. Beneath it, the six-thousand-meter ocean bottom waits. Standing on that cliff, where will you go? You cannot cross the East Sea. Will you swim? Will you fly? Even the wild geese cannot fly across.
Yours Is Not a Life You Can Do with as You Please
The wild geese travel from land's end to land's end by way of several islands. The wild goose flies from south to north, but the crane plucks both the fruit of the south and the fruit of the north.
The fruit of the north is structured so that its seed will not freeze even inside a block of ice. In the south, the seed is structured to defend itself lest heat penetrate.
The seeds are different. To defend, there is much that is cold. Even the water of the coconut palm is cold. If you try to gulp it down suddenly, it sticks in the throat.
The temperatures must harmonize and exchange to pass down; otherwise, it sticks fast in the throat. If you cannot vomit it out, in seven minutes you will die. You cannot imagine how serious living is.
If babies miss one meal, they cry. Wetting themselves and soiling themselves, they look for where their mother has gone. But just try waiting three days. Their strength gives out, and once they lie this way, they cannot turn. If they have lain face down, they will plant their nose and die.
Do you know how serious a life you have passed?
Yours is not a life that you can do with as you please. Even the nation participates in making my life. The constitution guarantees it.
Wherever you go within the dominion of the nation, you plant a seed, a new bud sprouts from within the branch, and only when, after thousands of years, the same flower can be made to bloom in repetition, can one be considered to have lived.
If this year is worse than last year, have you lived?
If you have diminished, you are dying. You must enter into a realm of dominion greater than the year before. There is no end of the earth I have not been to. I have been everywhere.
Reverend Moon's name as a child was Yong Myung, with the character yong (龍, dragon). The character yong (龍) places “moon” (月) beneath “stand” (立). The moon refers to the woman and to the earth, and one must stand upon her.
Next, “above” (上) is placed over “self” (己). Here in “self” (己) are three sons. One must have three sons. In my womb, which attends God, three sons and daughters are held. Standing upon the moon, the meaning is that God shall be present in this body, and through this body He shall receive three sons. That is the character yong. The dragon floats in midair.
Great-uncle Yun Guk was a Confucian scholar, learned in Eastern history and the prophetic books of the East. Even that grandfather could not answer what I asked. When I would say, “Grandfather, how do we solve this problem?”, he could not answer. When he said, “What do you think?”, I would say, “I don't know either, but a voice from Heaven says it must be like this for the answer to be resolved.” Grandfather, is that right?” Then he unbent his knees, knelt, and said, “Yong Myung, Master!” and bowed in worship. I cannot forget that.
The grandfathers said that Yong Myung was the most fearsome of all. Three generations of ancestors most feared me. If Grandfather said anything, the spirit world said, “Do not listen to those words; tell him to correct himself!”
“If Grandfather slaps you on the cheek and spits on you, in that very place we must take you away,” they said. I had been sent into a household not so disposed, but if it were the kind of grandfather who could do that, they would take me away.
So even the grandfathers could not treat me carelessly—I came to know this of myself. If they took me away, my family itself was set to disappear automatically.
At three or four years of age, I disliked even Mother and Father, and going alone to the top of the back hill, I would look at the eagle flying by and say, “Eagle, let us be friends!”—and that eagle would fly to me. I did not know whether it was a dream or reality, but when I called, the eagle would come and become my friend.
God's Textbook and God's Teaching Materials
Before I was ten, when Father or someone said they would take me along to Birobong on Mount Geumgang, I said, “I cannot go. If, while going, God should appear and tell me to do something, and I cannot do it, then either I shall go to the spirit world or my whole clan will perish. Then the roots will all be blown away, so I cannot go.” That is how I lived.
To this day, I have not been able to climb Birobong on Mount Geumgang. I could climb in three hours from our golf course, and I have not. Why have I not? The time has not come.
If I analyze the structural elements of all of Birobong, one-third of the elements of my body are buried there. That which is buried there calls me, and if it cannot attend me, and if I reject it and it falls away, then all of Mount Geumgang disappears. It is a fearsome word. It is words exactly like a goblin's.
If I were to say such a thing today, within a year that very thing would occur. Before speaking, before opening my lips, I must bite my tongue's tip and face it. I cannot speak as freely as I please.
The Unification Church, in the sixty-five years from liberation until now, has made God's textbook. How was God's textbook made?
Not only has God's textbook been made, but even the teaching materials by which God's textbook can be made—all have been made. Everything from the depths of hell to the top of the Heavenly Kingdom has been raked up and gathered into the textbook and teaching materials. This scripture is not Reverend Moon's. It is God's textbook and God's teaching materials.
Whatever the world may say, since I know this textbook and these teaching materials, I must walk that road. Even if my neck were cut off a hundred times, even if my neck were joined back and cut off again a hundred times, as long as I know these teaching materials to be fact, I must walk that road. Even if a finger is cut off, even if a toe is cut off, I go.
Because that could not be believed, I was told, “If you walk a road such that, then make a mark that neither parents nor anyone but you alone will know! Know first, when what has been recorded begins to disappear—unable to bear the persecution and suffering—from what part it begins to disappear; and do not go to that place, but go the opposite way! Make something with a secret symbol by which you yourself can be guarded!”
Now, can one live without eating three meals? Can one live without going to the toilet, without urinating? A
All people are the same; what then is to serve as the mark?
What does a sorcerous crew like? They like to draw tiger pictures on their bodies and color them with dye and to mark themselves, saying, “I am such a person.” For you, since in this disappearing world, do something that cannot disappear, and record it so that you can know what kind of thing does not disappear, and so I made the mark. That secret I disclosed two years ago. No one knew.
What did I make on my left hand? Scars. I told my little sister, who used to listen well to my words, to do it. “Do as I tell you! Older brother will not die. I do this to live,” I said. She held me with tweezers, dipped a needle in ink, and pierced me. This is the trial case. On the right-hand side, there was no such trial.
These all live here. There are six here and seven here, and all have disappeared except this one and that one. Apart from these two, all have disappeared. “When these are gone, know that your time is near,” I was told. Wow—how is it that they disappear? When I asked, “How is it that they simply disappear? Does God make them disappear?” The answer was, “No. It is set up that way; leave them be and watch.”
The Path on Which One Can Meet God
Look at this. When it itches, I was asked to scratch it. The scars I scratched, when I rub them, disappear. Even when scratched only a little, what?
They are sensitive. Doing only this, they immediately redden. The scars on this side have all disappeared. My hand rubs them. When the heat rises, they turn red, and I rub them. When one ages, the skin dries and hardens and itches, so one scratches it. Doing so, without my knowing it, they all disappeared.
This one, because it was done deeply with thick ink, has not disappeared, but here all have disappeared. The scars here itched so much that when I scratched them, this much of a scab formed. The scab itched again. Even now, this scab arose from scratching here. It itches. When I served in prison, there were many such marks all over my body. If they are scratched plenty, they disappear. The blood circulates and washes them clean.
There were many such blemishes on my calves, too. In the days of my vigorous youth, neither my mother nor my sisters knew there were such blemishes on my calves. There were heaps of marks left from ammonium sulfate, where I nearly died and the blood would not flow; when they itched and I scratched them, they disappeared.
Now, not much time remains. This hand has all healed. When it itches and one scratches, naturally it disappears. Once one begins to scratch, one scratches until the blood circulates. He said it would end in seven years, but even before seven years, perhaps they will all be gone. With such an indicating presentation set in place, he is the one who has been playing the game to guard himself.
There is no one who has seen this. Even my mother did not know. If Mother and Father had known, thunder would have struck.
Since I, with my hand, made a flaw out of a gift Heaven had given, such a thing could not have been forgiven. They were a strict mother and father.
I am speaking these things as preparatory training, as we read the Word of the teaching materials in Hoon Dok, to receive its inheritance.
How precious is this book?
It is more precious than I. Even if you say you love it a hundred times more than I, I will not rebuke you. Do so. Within it, the Heavenly Kingdom comes alive. God comes seeking me. Through the textbook and the teaching materials, there is a path on which one can meet God.
I can meet, every day, the God whom I could not meet though I tried a hundred or a thousand times; how happy must be the one who so meets God?
Because one certainly becomes a citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom, able to live more happily than I, I have made the teaching materials and the textbook that can serve as the marker.
If that is a fact, this cannot be exchanged even for one's wealth, one's nation, one's world.
For me, too, now, the time has come to depart. I do not know where I shall go today. Sitting like this, if it is said, “I wish to go somewhere; I will guide you, let us go!”, I must go there.
If they say take an airplane, I must take an airplane; if they say take a ship, I must take a ship. I do not live as I please. I must go the road on which Heaven, which God desires, is good, and the earth is good, and humanity is good, and all of heaven and earth can be good. That is the historic footprint that the True Parents can leave behind.
There is no shadow on the road. A person with a shadow must not make another shadow. Only by attending the God of Settlement at noon at the very top and walking footprints without shadows can one reach the original homeland, the garden of ideal settlement to which the Teacher is going; otherwise, one cannot get there. He has taught you everything. Now you have heard what is being said and can do likewise, so try doing it—and see whether strength rises in you or not.
Then you can go seeking my southern land. Our family is not there, and our in-laws are not there, so we make our in-laws, we make the nation, and at that time, we must prepare to plant our blood lineage.
The world of intermarriage must quickly expand. The mission-burden responsibility of building Heaven's kingdom of dominion with the historic record at the highest speed lies on Reverend Moon, who made the teaching materials and the textbook.
Since this is a fact, teaching materials matched to that fact cannot help but be prepared. From the time of leaving on December 7 of last year until I came here, I finished making the teaching materials.
The Light of True Love
Ambassadors for Peace, raise your hands. We must bring here people who have served as ministers or have been presidential candidates.
The standard of those who can be Reverend Moon's partner is a president, vice-president, or speaker of the parliament.
Centered on those three persons, and including their wives and sons and daughters, if only twelve people are reached, it is all done. If only twelve people become one, what becomes of that nation?
I have mobilized twelve thousand pastors and religious people for a world tour, and that work is continuing. Not knowing the world, even if it is midnight, there cannot be such a midnight.
Is night good, or is day good?
The origin must be made clear. Did night come from day, or did day come from night? Answer! “Day came from night.” Why did day arise from night? What is the answer? It is true love.
Though there be ten million oil lamps lit with the oil of the satanic world, when the wind of true love blows, they go out. But the light of true love—however the wind may blow, it does not go out. That is what we call the nucleus of true love. It is the only starting standard. Do you understand those words? What is the difference between true love and the love of the satanic world?
A wick is dipped in oil to make fire. Because the oil comes up through the wick, fire arises. Even if there are ten thousand oil lamps in the world that humans can light, with even a small puff, they go out. Though the light be the same, ten thousand of them themselves—an oil lamp with the wick in the oil can keep burning, but with the slightest blow it ends.
Rather than a love that was momentarily good, one must love a love that can pass through a lifetime. Even if ten million times ten million oil lamps light all heaven and earth, with the slightest blow they go out; but even though it be only a firefly, true love is eternal. Even if every house had lamps, all of them would disappear, and in proportion as they disappear, true love grows. When they disappear, if you attach that oil to the wick, a light brighter than the sun shines eternally.
What about the small but eternal firefly?
Though every oil lamp—ten trillion times ten trillion of them—fills the world, when the time comes, they disappear. But if you attach the firefly of true love to the wick together with oil, it becomes like the sunfire that can burn for a hundred million ages.
So that such a fire may be made, become one unconditionally. With absolute faith and absolute love, become one unconditionally—this is what the Teacher is teaching you.
I have fought through a thousand years of history, and ten thousand years of history, and received one by one the answers of victory and defeat. There is no objection. Since I stand in the position of victorious dominion passed by unanimous vote, my interpretation is a perfect score, and the rest is fake. Even 97 percent correct does not pass.
God does not need even 97 percent that Satan possesses. If Reverend Moon, who has the 3 percent, has only the document by which he can swallow the 97 percent whole, he can do as he pleases with the satanic world.
Therefore, even the presidency can be swallowed whole without an election. From group to group, east, west, south, and north, leaf by leaf, the leaves must elect, saying, “The chief of leaves is only this one.”
If that alone is decided, the best leaf among all the leaves, the perfect and flawless one, becomes the candidate and becomes president. The president, too, is born from among my leaves, is born from among my branches.
Do not boast for thousands and tens of thousands of years. Because it is connected to the central root, that is possible.
Even a president born from a leaf has emerged connected to the central root, the trunk, and the branches.
If there is a central mother-body that can represent the whole, even if you separate that mother-body in reverse and move it over here, what happens?
When you attach the dividing cells, it becomes the same as the central nucleus. It is the same with moving a beehive centered on the queen bee. Centered on the queen bee, the beehive arises automatically.
For this reason, the Heavenly Kingdom does not disappear; eternally, as the subject moves, the possible fruit can be borne anywhere—therefore, the Heavenly Kingdom cannot but be the element of the unifying realm of oneness of all the existences of all worlds! All things are the same.
For this reason, it is constituted as a crystal. A hexagonal crystalline stone. The quartz is a hexagonal crystal. The feldspar is a pentagon.
Live by Aligning the Direction
Just as there is an N-pole and S-pole in all things, everything, centered on its pole, has the essence of harmony and unifying union of plus and minus. Just as the library of the White House and the libraries of the world all enter into one computer, even into a one-thousandth part, they all enter in.
As long as the element of the crystal, even like the shape of a shadow, is in one-thousandth, when one presses the button and matches it, the books of the White House library come flying.
Then, seated, one can know the whole world. Just press the button, and the White House library moves and enters this computer. The library of Moscow, the library of London, and the library of Reverend Moon of Korea—just press the button and they all enter at once. That is possible.
If you contact the world headquarters of computers in Moscow or London, centered on a computer, within five seconds, it is transferred. So an era has come in which nothing can be hidden.
Do not think the place you live is a world cut off. If you just enter someone's name, that whole history comes out. Centered on the crystal, however deeply it is embedded anywhere in the world, you only have to enlarge it.
If you enlarge the decisive element within a flying speck of dust, the universe too cannot help but enter therein and be impressed and reproduced. Truly!
A world in which all things go as they should has come, and good, good! Do not die, but live eternally—this is what is meant. Live eternally. (Kim Hyo Yul, Hoon Dok of “Nietzsche” from the “Messages of Philosophers Sent from the Spirit World,” then prayer.)
You have come from afar; as you return, God will accompany you, and the ancestors will go with you, so you are not unfortunate ones but a fortunate group.
May you be those who blossom flowers in your region and shine the explosive sunlight of the Heavenly Kingdom. When shall we meet again? Go safely home. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Do not lose your direction toward God, but align with it. You must observe how, at the position in which you are located—east, west, south, and north—you have drawn near to the throne of God of a higher dimension above the horizontal world. A vigorous future awaits—do not become a shameful figure.
May you become like a lighthouse without shame as you represent and show Heaven, and may you return safely home. May God's blessing be with you. (Bow.)
