In the Bible, there is a saying that in the Last Days, the Lord, who becomes the bridegroom, will come as the cosmic central being.
The Purpose for Which Jesus Came
Until this day, upon this earth, when one struck against some problem, there was no valiant one who could hold his own clear standard of conscience and govern the body.
We well know that until now there was not one valiant one who, moved by the heavenly bond or the heavenly heart, could take dominion over the heart of the human being.
That is why Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is within your heart. He said that to go to the Kingdom of Heaven, one must first love me (Jesus). And he said to bear the cross and follow and to cast away all that one has. He also said that whoever would live shall die, and whoever would die shall live; whoever would have shall lose, and whoever would lose shall have; whoever would be exalted shall be brought low, and whoever would be brought low shall be exalted.
Why would Jesus have said such paradoxical words?
This is the matter.
You possess a mind and a body. And it is a lamentable thing that the mind is not in the place where the mind ought to be, the body is not in the place where the body ought to be, and the heart is not in the place where the heart ought to be.
Our ancestors upon this earth ceaselessly strove to set up a standard of mind and conquer the body. But though the long span of six thousand years passed, there has until now been no victor who, centered on the mind, completely conquered the body of all humankind.
Then who will take responsibility for and resolve this sorrow-filled problem?
Since no firm center was discovered by which the mind, holding a heart steeped in the heavenly heart, could govern the body, how will such a mind of the human being be conquered before one who holds the heart of the heavenly bond? This is an important problem. God sent Jesus to this earth to resolve that problem.
Jesus, who came with such a mission, said, I am the bridegroom, and you are the bride. Then what is the standard of conscience the bride must have? It is not a conventional standard of conscience steeped in life upon the earth. Nor is it a standard of conscience that conforms to or attests to the human ethics and morality of this earth.
And what is the figure of the true bride?
It is not the very self now living upon this earth.
Then what sort of figure was Jesus, who came seeking the figure of the bride as the bridegroom of humankind?
He was a valiant one equipped with a directionality by which, yearning for the heart of God and grasping that heart through experience, he could set up an eternal standard of conscience and an eternal standard of the body. Had it not been so, Jesus could not stand in the place of the true bridegroom of the heart of humankind.
Modern Civilization, Which Cannot Resolve the Problem of the Heart
As history flows on, all cultures are developing. Today’s civilization is making a flourishing world. But this is of no help in resolving the problem of our body and mind, the problem of the heart.
Outwardly, complex environments and complex organizational forms have appeared, but because my heart cannot commune with all that whole, it is a state of affairs in which one cannot harmonize with anything.
We know all too well that this world is a world that does not have a standard by which Heaven and earth can rejoice together, and Heaven and earth can shout together.
This age of today is flowing in a direction utterly different from the direction the mind aims at and the direction the heart is seeking. My single self, placed in such a position, has reached an indescribable extreme outwardly, and inwardly only an indescribable emptiness remains—so where is the center by which I can be set up? Today’s humankind is in a floundering position.
Because the human being always demands a heart that can commune with the mind and the idea, unless some standard is set up that adjusts, in relation to such a heart, the actual bond with the body that can commune with the outward life, humankind, in whatever age, will not escape from a floundering position.
Therefore, if God exists, what sort of world is the world God aims at?
It is not such a cultural and civilized world as the present world of today. We must know the fact that a world that can, setting up a standard of mind and a standard of heart, take dominion over civilization was the world God wished for, and the world our ancestors ought to have left before all the people of later generations.
The Place Jesus Sought
That is why Jesus, to achieve such a world, whenever the environment was complex, did not leap into the midst of it and try to set it in order, but avoided that environment and went. The places he went, avoiding them, were not places everyone could enjoy. He lived a life groping alone through deep forests and mountain valleys. His life upon the earth was not the seeking of something in the visible world but was for the sake of embodying in the visible world the law of the invisible world. The people of that age did not know this.
That is why the moments when he prayed and appealed were moments no one sought, moments no one even thought of.
But the course he walked was a course all humankind must walk in common. That course was a borderland where God and Satan, good and evil, collide. You must know that Jesus, alone, sought and entered such a place.
The place where Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, shedding tears of blood, was not comfortable. It was the central point where God and Satan made contact. It was a place of seeking one’s way into the center.
You must know that even though there is suffering, sorrow, difficulty, and death, Jesus sought and went there to tread that sorrow, difficulty, and suffering, or the borderline of life and death.
That is why Jesus, who sought that state, possessed the heart of God. Even though anything of Heaven and earth might sweep away all that was his, the heart of Jesus toward God alone was inviolable. That heart alone was firm as iron and stone.
Why was it that Jesus, in the process of fighting Satan, centered on the providential conditions and could smash Satan?
It was not because Jesus was gifted, but because he had a heart steeped in devotion to Heaven. Because he fought against God’s steep heart, even Satan raised his hands in surrender.
Only by praying with such a heart can one become the protagonist of the heart that humankind admires, the one qualified to be the bridegroom.
The Standard Jesus Set Up
Jesus did not come to this earth to seek something. Because this world is a fallen world, a world that must in any case be resolved at some point, he came to resolve this world.
But it is not this world that must be resolved; that is the matter, but the world that resolves this world that is the matter. It is not the world that must be resolved that is the matter, but the world that resolves that is the matter; and it is not the heart that must be resolved that is the matter, but the heart that resolves that is the matter.
Jesus, knowing such content, toiled to pioneer the world of salvation, the road of salvation.
You must know that he was such a valiant one. The one who appeared, in place of all people, as a valiant one of exploration, all alone, to find one idea that could resolve this world, was Jesus.
Jesus had much anguish, not recorded in the Bible, rooted deep in his heart. We must know the circumstances of Jesus, who had such anguish that he could not but strain for its sake, because he knew that unless he held something by which he could himself be acknowledged as the Savior of all people, and by which, in that course of fighting, staking Heaven and earth and staking God and Satan, he could explain, “This is it,” he could not set up one center of victory over the satanic world and could not set up one victorious will.
That is why Jesus was an adventurer and an explorer who set out to find a new world. Jesus leaped into the place of adventure not by reason of any bond or circumstance of the world, but to find the world of God’s love and human love.
In the world, many adventurers leap into places where people cannot come and go freely or to explore some region. But that is a thing anyone in history can do. Then what is the highest standard Jesus set up as the mark of his adventure?
What is the highest standard Jesus can certify?
It is that one can cross even the pass of martyrdom. Jesus has such a historical background. Even today, when there is something true, there remain people who will set out, staking death and holding a steadfast heart.
Because God has the purpose of setting up such a world of hearts, He set Jesus, who died in anguish on Mount Calvary, in a position where he could lead the world. But the people of that age did not even dream of this.
We, too, are wandering, searching for the world of the true.
However difficult a matter, and whatever adventure and pitfall there might be, it was a road one had to seek, casting one’s body in, offering one’s whole life.
What God, the Subject of the True, Seeks
You will, having learned the Principle, well know that God and Satan carry on this history of struggle in connection. But where have the original sons and daughters gone, who, having won this fight, ought to call out, “God!”?
Where is that son who, steeped in heart and harmonized in heart, can call out, “My Father!” and that father who can call out, “My son!”? And where is that world? The human being has until now neither seen nor found such a world.
Jesus, upon this earth, said,
“I am the only begotten Son of God.”
And he said, “Attend me as your bridegroom,” and said, “I will welcome you as my bride.”
If there be in Heaven a God who leads and carries on the providence only of the true history of the human world, what would that God’s purpose be?
It was not such a disordered reality as this. Such things, whether they exist or not, will in the end vanish together with the fallen world.
The person who believes in a religion is not the matter. Knowing the Father who has toiled for six thousand years and knowing the Father who must toil hereafter too is the matter.
One son who, knowing the Father, is moved to the depths of his heart and calls out, Father, is more precious than that.
You must know that Heaven and earth are more precious than that. Because God cannot be glad over all humankind, He put forth Jesus as a mark over whom He could be glad.
We are seeking the truth. Individually and family by family, all are seeking the truth. Then what indeed is the subject of the truth in this universe? It is God. Then what is the content of the true God that seeks to set up?
It is the seeking of true parents and true husband and wife, true children and true brothers, a true people and a nation, a world, and Heaven and earth, which the human being has not possessed. The content of the true God is seeking is different from the content of the true human being.
What is God’s purpose in carrying on the providence for this earth?
God wishes for all people to become true. He wishes them to become the true whole of humankind, a true people, true loyal subjects.
Going further, He wishes them to become true children and wishes them to become true parents. And only after all things, true children, true husband and wife, and true parents have appeared before all humankind can God at last appear substantially upon the earth. That is what God wishes for.
If the substance of the true is God, then God will without fail make the nation of the true. There will come a day when, at some time, the heart, the mind, the body, the living environment, and the world can be called right. There will come a day when all beings bow their heads in reverence and awe, and humankind, with body and mind and with heart, wishes Him to be its owner forever. Therefore, the day of meeting that substance is, as the day on which the wandering of human history searching for good and the true comes to a close, the day of the fulfillment of the wish of God, who is putting history in order.
God is seeking and coming to set up such a day, such a place, such a time. I, who live in this sinful world, and the family, the society, the nation—all these must find that one day.
Jesus, Who Had No True Disciple to Whom He Could Pour Out the Word of His Heart
Jesus came as the central missioned one to resolve God’s resolution of han and the purpose of the good of humankind, but he had not one disciple who could follow, saying, “Introduce to me all the cosmic ideas of good permeating the depths of that heart.” This is Jesus’ han.
Jesus lamented, saying,
“If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” (John 3:12)
Jesus, who thus appeared as the substance of the true and was to do the action of the true for the fruit of the true, went without speaking the Word of the true and without doing the action of the true—and no one knew this han of Jesus.
What we must know today is not the Jesus who appears in the Bible. To revive the central standard of the true that he had deeply hoped for in his heart, saying, The true individual is such a person, or the true family is like this, and the true society, the true nation, and the world in oneness with the true God are such a world, and its restoration must be done thus—this was the mission Jesus, having come seeking humankind, had to fulfill as the Savior. And yet he crossed over the pass of the cross without speaking one word of the content of that mission.
Who knew such a heart of Jesus?
There was no one. That is why Jesus could not go to the Kingdom of Heaven but went to Paradise. Paradise is the waiting room for going to the Kingdom of Heaven. When one thinks of it thus, one can know that the course of setting out searching for the truth was not resolved even though six thousand years passed.
So you must, through the heart each of you has felt and realized until now, live from tomorrow with a new state of mind.
If there is no prospect that this seven-year course, beginning this time, will end again either, one must at least have the indignant mind by which, holding the Father’s Will, one can appeal toward Heaven.
How can a humankind that does not even dream be able to fulfill the way of loyalty and righteousness as God’s people, and become God’s filial sons, filial daughters, and chaste women?
The work of the chosen people God has set up is the providence of Restoration—that is, the movement to find again what was lost.
What is the purpose of the providence of salvation?
It is the work of finding again what was lost. Because the person who was created was shattered, one must recreate him again through the Word.
Because we are fallen human beings, we must be re-created. By reason of the fall, the Word that could commune with my body departed, and the Word that could commune with my mind, and the Word that could be held forever together with my heart, all departed. Therefore, the human being must seek the Word—that is, the truth.
What is the truth?
It was said that the truth is precisely the Word. And the truth is the principle of organization and the basis of the heavenly bond.
Until now, the world has sought the truth, but now the true Word must come forth. But because the true Word did not come forth, the substance of true life did not come forth. Because the substance of true life did not come forth, the substance of true love did not come forth. Because the substance of true love did not come forth, a true view of the universe did not come forth together with Heaven and earth. You must know this.
God is today too fighting on to conquer the world. God is fighting on even now to conquer the individual, conquer the family, and conquer the people, the nation, and the world.
The Providence Advances by Adventure and the Pioneering Spirit
Noah fought for 120 years to conquer his own single self and his family. That was no easy thing. Noah, who received God’s command that He would judge this earth after 120 years, did not wait, saying, “One year has passed, so now 119 years remain.”
God makes a promise once before a person who bears a great will and faces a great will and comes forth. After receiving God’s command, God does not choose one unless, holding a heart of unchanging loyalty toward God, he conquers the persecution of the family, the persecution of society, or all the desires that come in through his flesh—that is, all such complex things as lust, appetite for food, or greed—and is equipped with the qualification of a victor.
God, in the historical course, conquered the individual, family, society, nation, and world.
Then what is that conquest?
If it does not work by words, one has it done even by striking. So a history of war cannot but exist.
We know that this present age is the terminal period of the six-thousand-year history. God is seeking a victor who, setting the whole before God and unifying it before God’s Will, is equipped with the authority to conquer the whole from himself—God is seeking such a person.
Our ancestors of the past adventured to conquer their own single selves and went heedless of any difficult road or any pioneer’s road. But humankind living upon this earth today, in the twentieth century, lives in an environment different from the environment our ancestors of old walked through.
That age was a providential age facing the individual, family, people, and nation, but this age of today, because it is an age of carrying on the providence facing the Cosmos beyond the world, if there be any adventure for us, we must have the resolve to say, in place of the six-thousand-year history, “There is no one who can adventure more than I.”
Therefore, in such a time, one who weeps clinging to himself will not be able to construct the heavenly family; one who weeps clinging to the family will not be able to construct the heavenly society; one who weeps clinging to society will not be able to construct the heavenly nation; one who weeps clinging to the nation will not be able to construct the heavenly world; and one who weeps clinging to the world will not be able to construct the Cosmos.
Therefore, one must have the conviction to raise the heart of one's individual self up to the world, explain all the historical content, and boldly declare that one has equipped oneself with a worldwide substance.
For that, adventure is needed. If you enter even a little into a mysterious state, you will come to know that that world is exchanged by adventure.
In broadening the scope by one stage, one must, without fail, adventure. One cannot but wage a decisive fight of life and death, staking one’s life.
Noah struck his body to find the family standard. Striking his body for 120 years to conquer the body, suffering all manner of reproach and mockery, and placed in an aggrieving environment, Noah struck his body for 120 years, centered on that standard, saying, could the standard of mind God set up, the heart steeped in what God led, ever change?
Had Noah’s family struck the worldly desires and all the conditions to the end and come forth admiring the people, God would have carried on and achieved the Will through the people centered on that family of Noah. But Noah’s family did not overcome all the twists and turns in the process of toil.
Had his descendants held the standard of mind Noah set up and gone forth looking to the people, God’s Will would have been achieved through that people, but because Noah’s family failed to set up the family-level will, God’s Will, which was to be achieved through that people, was shattered.
Even so, God’s providence to achieve the Will advances. It is the time of the heavenly bond that one cannot keep clinging only to the individual because the individual was shattered, and it is not that the heavenly bond does not move because the family was shattered.
Even though the individual is shattered, the heavenly bond moves on. Even though the individual is shattered, because it is the time when God must set up the family and carry on the providence, God carries on the providence of restoring even the individual and the family. And because He cannot delay the providence there just because that family was shattered, God moves on to the time for restoring society. Thus, God, broadening the environment, matches the time of the providence.
If One Knows That God Is Alive
God, who lost Noah as an individual and his family, set up Abraham 400 years later and worked. But because Abraham too lost the Will, God, once again, 400 years later, set up Moses and worked; and because He had to match the environmental conditions as when He set up Abraham and worked, He set up the law of circumcision and carried on a providence that drew in even the Gentiles.
And by reason of Abraham’s mistake, because the national age was drawing near, He drove the six-hundred-thousand multitude of Israel into Egypt and disciplined them.
Why did He drive them in?
It was God’s strategy for uniting them. It was a strategy to make them one. “The royal court you are facing is your enemy. The Egyptians are your sworn enemies.” Thus, He disciplined them.
God drove them in, looking toward one time when, if there be one place they could live, all could say, “Yes indeed.” Because the period of driving them in matched the period of the national providence, He set up Moses as the vanguard of adventure in place of the people.
He appeared as a valiant one of exploration, holding a new resolve, in the process of scouting toward the unknown land of Canaan. The road on which he opposed the very royal court and led the people of Israel was not a smooth road. It was an unknown course. He was heedless of any difficulty that blocked his path.
How could the mind of him who went seeking that homeland, the land of Canaan God had promised from the ancestors, ever change?
Though he was living in the land of Pharaoh, his heart was full of the conviction that one must sing of happiness in the land of Canaan.
It was thus Moses’ mission to make everyone hold an indomitable heart and to pioneer the one road of advance. But though Moses set out leading the six-hundred-thousand multitude, he lost them all in the forty-year course of the wilderness. Had the people of Israel known how to adventure with a heart like Moses’, they would not have perished. Had their earnest mind to seek the land, to seek what sort of place the promised land was, been stronger than any consciousness or feeling of living, the people of Israel would absolutely not have fallen in the wilderness. Because they cried out, “Aigo, I am dying of hunger. Aigo, we are going to die,” they fell in the wilderness.
If there were some great person of history, or some pioneer, they were not people who enjoyed and felt satisfaction in their age. They were people who, toward a higher place of the idea, taking a promised place as their destination, removed everything and went down the road of exploration.
It was the same with Moses. What was the Red Sea before the people of Israel raced toward the land of Canaan, and what was the attack of the Amalekites in the wilderness?
The able-bodied men who, having wandered for forty years, were freed from Pharaoh’s bondage, all grew exhausted and fell.
What did God hope for in leading them?
When He set up twelve people in place of the twelve tribes and had them scout the land of Canaan, what those people said was a report that by their strength they could not withstand the seven tribes of Canaan. But among the twelve, Joshua and Caleb were different. Joshua and Caleb were not clever people in that age. Joshua and Caleb were dull and stubborn, people of a strong adventuring temperament who leaped in, not even knowing whether they would live or die.
When the whole people of Israel were raising the flag of revolt, it was Joshua and Caleb who appeared boldly and cried out, “The God who has led us until now is alive.
The God who pressed down Pharaoh’s neck, who split the Red Sea that blocked the people of Israel and made a broad, smooth road and let us cross, is alive. The God who sent down quail and manna when we floundered in hunger in the wilderness is alive.
The only road by which we live is the road of believing in that God and going.”
Because Israel was to seek the pioneering course of Restoration, you must know that God looked upon Joshua and Caleb and opened the road for them.
God, Who Is Seeking the World of the True
Passing thus through the national age and greeting the state age, the people of Israel entered the land of Canaan, but because the time was already the age of national providence, they had to fight, staking the nation.
How much did God have to toil at that time?
He had to equip the form of a nation, equip the form of a society, equip the form of a family, and equip even the form of the individual. But though the position of a nation was equipped, in its substantial content, it was a figure that did not become the footing of the complete victory God wished for. We must know the heart of God, who carried on the providence bearing such twists and turns.
God floundered in seeking one lost individual. He wandered in search of a family, but lost the family too. God, who had led a people, lost the people too. That is, He lost even the people of Israel he had blessed. That is why the people of Israel, until now, have wandered throughout the world.
Jesus came upon this earth as the representative to resolve God’s grievance of worldwide restoration for Him. He was born in the land of Israel, but the region he moved about was no more than the seaside of Galilee, or a few cities near the city of Jerusalem. But the people of that age—no one knew the fact that Jesus moved, holding content that stood in place of God’s Will and history and in place of the world. Jesus floundered on such a road and went.
That is why one must know that what came forth to match, to a worldwide standard, that Will which sought to set up one center and recover the nation of Israel, is God’s two-thousand-year history, and the two-thousand-year history centered on Jesus.
This age of today is the last days.
What kind of last days?
They are the last days when individual perfection must be brought to completion, the last days when family perfection must be brought to completion, the last days when national perfection must be brought to completion, the last days when state perfection must be brought to completion, the last days when world perfection must be brought to completion, and, going further, the last days when cosmic perfection must be brought to completion. And yet humankind today does not know this fact. They do not know the heart of God, who has led this great task.
In the historical terminal age, which God sought for six thousand years, God drove humankind into the sphere of the idea, but because humankind did not advance in the direction God wished for, it became unhappy.
This world of today has equipped the worldwide type (型), but in its substantial and content-level aspect, it is in a position where God cannot intervene.
Then what shall be done about this?
I wish to cry out to the world. Where is the historical person God was seeking, and where have those people gone whom God embraced and loved, who suffered forced labor in Egypt?
Where have those people gone who wished to receive the love of Jesus, who came to this earth as the King of kings?
Since the one standard God was seeking has vanished—a standard by which, while alive, hand in hand and sharing mind with mind, one could sing heart to heart—where is there a thing more han-filled than this?
God will without fail find it.
If He is the true God, a God with the content of the true, then what would that God seek?
He will seek the true individual, the true family, the true society, the true nation, the true world, and, through the true sovereignty, that world in which one heart can move in Heaven and on earth.
You must, whether as an individual, or as a family, or as a people, sever and liquidate—the whole nation and world—all the lineal bonds and all the bonds handed down by tradition. You must seek and set up such a standard of heart.
What sort of world was God seeking?
That world was the world of the true, the world where there are true parents. But because the human being fell, though he had parents of fallen lineage, he lost the original True Parents whom God could love forever.
However gifted you may be, you cannot speak loudly. However loudly you speak, you can be no more than a person of fallen parents. You are a being with nothing to boast of.
Where are the original parents whom God, raising His hand, could bless as true parents, and over whom all things of Heaven and earth could sing forever? They vanished. And they vanished not in the course of history but at the very beginning of history. Who must resolve that han? You must know that.
Then what sort of parents are the original parents?
True Parents are those who can live as children, attending to the eternally existing God as their Father. Because such True Parents vanished, humankind must without fail find those True Parents.
Unification Believers, Who Must Have a True Heart
This earth on which we live today is not our earth. It is not the land of the idea we ought to have. There is nothing that can connect the bond between the True Parents and us.
That is why the believers of the Unification Church must become people equipped with the heart of unification. It is not the signboard that is the matter, but its content that is the matter. It is that fact that is the matter.
If the voice of conscience that wanders in search of the true does not come into my mind, one must be able to make into a slogan the content that appeals to that truth. Seen from this viewpoint, the day on which the true parents, true husband and wife, true children, true people, true all things, true sovereignty, and true universe move if they are to move and rest if they are to rest, through the heart of the true God—the day that matches that one time all at once—will hereafter be the last days in the human world.
Then what sort of age will the Second Advent that everyone hopes for be?
It is not an age in which cataclysms of heaven and earth (天變地異) occur and phenomena arise where a person’s body floats up into the air. Do not have such absurd, groundless delusions. The teacher, too, knew it so in the past. That is why he came forth fighting against that content.
Then what sort of time is that age?
It is the time when, indemnifying the ill-fated history of tangled twists and turns, one can, from the individual, pass through the family, society, and nation, and reach the world. It is the time of setting up the individual, connecting horizontally the type of the whole bound vertically, and achieving a historical individual, a historical family, a historical society, a historical nation, a historical world. The seeking of the day on which one can live is the purpose for which we come forth, hoping for good and hoping for the true.
What day is that day?
It is the day of meeting God face to face, and the day of meeting the True Parents face to face. It is the day on which true children, true husbands and wives, true people, a true world, a true Heaven, and earth are realized upon this earth.
You must know that God is carrying on the providence to match and bring to a close such programs all at once.
This age of today has plausibly become a footing in its outward type, but in content it is not so. Today’s isms and ideologies are plausible, but no standard has been set up. Humankind, standing in such last days of today, has, over the long span of six thousand years, sought the true.
Having thus sought and sought and sought again the true, those who fought from the individual position to find and set up a true individual have all passed away.
That is why the true family, the true people, the true nation, the true world, and the true universe have all passed away.
Now we are in a destiny of having to greet that one time again. What sort of time is that one time? It is such a time that when individuals commune, the family communes; when the family communes, society communes; when society communes, the nation communes; when the nation communes, the world communes; and when the world communes, Heaven and earth can commune.
If being one who can confidently call God Father is the very essence of the highest goal the individual aims at, then those who can confidently call Him so, raise your hands once. It is truly a grave problem.
In such a six-thousand-year terminal age, what business do you have sleeping?
Today, outwardly, the shape of being able to face the providence is equipped, but the content is not so.
You must know that there is a content that has revolved and revolved for six thousand years. As the days pass, your breast grows stifled, and all your organs (全器官) grow stifled.
Even if you are of fine physique and have much money and are equipped with everything, you grow, without knowing why, forlorn. A fight breaks out within your individual self. The mind seeks to leap out to six thousand years ago, but the body is bound to six thousand years hence.
In the Bible, it is said,
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you…” (Matt. 7:7)
To Resolve the Han of Jesus
What we wish for today is the same as what God wished for. Then what is God’s wish? It is the purpose of creation. That is God’s wish. Jesus came as the substance standing in place of that wish, but Jesus passed away without achieving that Will.
When Jesus passed away, he left only the proposition,
“I am the bridegroom before you, and you are the bride.”
Everyone, do you know what this means?
What is the marriage feast of the Lamb that Christianity speaks of?
It is that, setting up in the last days the figure of the True Parents God had to find and set up, and equipping the bond of brothers and the bond of children, one changes human history. We must know that this is the breathless hope we bear today, and the hope of God, who has toiled for two thousand years.
What are you holding on to today?
The people of Israel two thousand years ago were in a position where they could hold on to Jesus. The Jewish religious body was within the sphere of the benefit of the age in which they could attend Jesus. And the whole chosen people of Israel were placed in an environment of the age in which they could attend Jesus as the king of all people. But they, professing that they were receiving God’s love, betrayed and rejected Jesus.
By reason of their doing so, everything Jesus hoped for was cut off. The history of the Jewish nation was cut off, the people of Israel who came forth through the Jewish nation were cut off, and everything was cut off.
What is the sorrow-filled thing for us today?
It is that we have come to stand in a position of having to live weeping and wailing, holding on to the words of Jesus.
Everyone, when you pray, you pray in the name of Jesus, do you not?
That very fact of living bound to the noun “Jesus” is the pitiful thing. That is why what is the hope for us is not to pray holding the idea of following him, but, beyond that, for Jesus to save us substantially.
We must, staking our lives, find out the happiness Jesus hoped for, and, holding on to the Word, come to know, “So this is what Jesus lost.”
Thereby, we must find again what he lost. Because Jesus was placed in a wretched environment of shedding blood, nailed to the cross by enemies, it is our destiny to seek all the circumstances within his heart. Christianity that holds only to the Word and looks only to Heaven will perish. It cannot escape the judgment.
Only when we hold on to that trace of being nailed to the cross for us, and the very heart with which he spoke sorrowfully, and bring the bond with me to a close and liquidate the things of the world, is the han of Jesus resolved.
Yearn for the Word, the Action, and the Substance of Jesus
If the Word of the True Parents and the Word of God are needed for us fallen human beings, it must be the Word just as it is, in fact, not a parable and symbol.
As is recorded in the Bible, Jesus of two thousand years ago spoke the Word that he would save fallen human beings. But that Word was spoken from a position that had no relation whatever to his resolution of han.
The purpose of the Word is to have one do the action. Then why has the Christianity that came forth centered on this Word become what it is today? It is because they did not know what sort of Word Jesus’ Word was.
Then what sort of Word was the Word Jesus spoke?
In that Word, adventure follows, and twists and turns are inherent.
Then what must be done?
In the last days, it was said, hold on to the Bible and pray through the night. It was said,
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret.” (Matt. 6:6)
But in coming to seek, He does not come seeking with the Word; He comes seeking holding a substance. Then how will He come seeking?
The people of the world do not know whether this place where we ourselves now stand is the place of the goal Jesus originally claimed and hoped for in the Word, and whether this place is the place of Jesus, who comes seeking again, feeling the suffering of the cross.
Now one must judge whether, through the Word, a revolution arises in my heart. That is, the time has come to judge for oneself whether this Word stirs me and enables me to cross even the valley of death, and whether it gives an inner shock and enables me to stand as a subject of action.
For two thousand years, we have yearned for the Word. Then what must you now do? While yearning for the Word, one must yearn for the action. One must yearn for the action, saying, “Since Jesus went in such-and-such a way, I must go in this way.”
Then what sort of one is Jesus?
He is the True Parent of humankind. Since such a Jesus died through the Word, you must yearn for that action of his when he departed. Yearn for the Word, yearn for the action, and thereafter, yearn for that figure. One must yearn for it more than for beloved parents.
One must long to see it to the point of forgetting even eating, forgetting sleeping, and forgetting all one’s own conduct. Have you ever had such a time?
On what road is happiness achieved?
It is not achieved by speaking the Word well. It is not achieved by doing the action well. It is that one must yearn.
Everyone, what sort of figure would the face of the Lord be?
What would his hands and feet be like? His nose and eyes, his figure would be thus—one must have a mind that yearns to the point of wanting to touch that figure, of wanting to grope over that figure. This is, for you, an important problem that can resolve all the final problems.
Jesus, the center of the Word—but the name Jesus does not save you. Because a name is an outward thing, one must yearn for the substantial Jesus. Jesus, whom one longs to see but cannot see, that Jesus who said, when he departed, that he would come again—why does he not come?
That Jesus who appeared before the apostles right after his resurrection—why can he not appear before all people? What twist and turn is this?
We today, with earnest minds, wish to see Jesus, so what twist and turn is there that he cannot appear?
But if there be one who, heedless of the days passing and the years passing, flounders yearning unchangingly for the figure of Jesus, then for that person the road of being able to meet him face to face is without fail opened.
The Death of Jesus, Which Became God’s Sorrow
We are orphans today. We are orphans who have lost God. However well someone in this world is in a prosperous family environment, seen from God’s position, he is no more than an orphan. Humankind has lost the original True Parents. And it has lost true brothers, lost true husbands and wives, and lost true children.
When I look at myself, orphan-like as this, how could I be at ease?
This body is pressing. What is it pressing for? It is that one must find the original parents and brothers, the original children. Then where must one go to find them? To find the original parents, one might or might not find them, though one goes round and round this globe.
Moreover, since it is set up as content that cannot be found even within the words of Jesus, where is one to go to find them?
So now one cannot but anoint my head with oil and, entering a secret room, weep, steeped in a mind longing to see the Father. Thereby, if there is one who resolves that he will go any road of death, any perilous mountain, and steep ridge, the Father finds him. Jesus went, not refusing even the road of Golgotha, to find such sons and daughters. But because he sought it and it did not come about, in the end he went the road of death.
Then, when will the day come on which the multitude that longed for the day of meeting the original parents can hold on to that figure of the parent and call out Father and call out Lord?
The time has come when all the Christians of the world must resolve this central problem.
To do so, what must be done?
One must have a longing mind by which, more than any ism or ideology of this world, or more than one’s own sons and daughters, more than anything, one cannot live for longing for him, and wishes to touch even the hem of his garment once, and wishes to touch even his hand once.
Since he is bonded to me as our Father, the greeting of one time when, embraced in that bosom, one can lay bare and tell all the things of past days, and can in person comfort his toil, is the highest hope all humankind seeks.
More than yearning for the Word, more than yearning for the action, one must yearn for that self.
After holding on to that self, what must be done?
One must yearn for that mind. And yet, was there even one person who, to meet the lost parent again, yearned and yearned again, longed to see and longed again to see? There was none.
That God sent Jesus, the only begotten Son, to this earth as the King of kings for the sake of all people, was not to have him despised. Because He sent Jesus as the only central being since the beginning of history, as the father of all people, all the people ought to have longed to see him and yearned for him, and, meeting him, rejoiced. But there was not one who so treated him. This is the infuriating thing.
The death of Jesus became God’s sorrow. Jesus himself, too, left the word that, as God’s son, he went without being able to say all he wished to say.
Jesus said,
“If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” (John 3:12),
and also said,
“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:12)
When Thinking of Jesus, One Must Feel the Heart of a Parent
Had he set up those beloved disciples, or the apostles, as Jesus’ true sons and daughters, Jesus would not have been nailed to the cross. He who ought to have become our Father went without being able to lay bare this secret steeped in his heart, and without even one word of testament.
Where among unfilial acts is there such an unfilial act?
This world, thus historically overturned, you must restore today.
Because humankind sinned by killing the parent, all must repent. How does one repent? One must repent of and realize the sin of killing the Father.
However wooden and stony a child, when he realizes and feels that he is my true good Father, where would there be one who would not repent with tears? All are set to repent.
God, longing for the beloved original family and original children, original brothers, and original family members, has for six thousand years worked and toiled with sleepless eyes. You must know that.
If there was one standard Jesus yearned for even while spending his thirty-odd years of life alone and praying through the night, alone in the Garden of Gethsemane, what was it? It was the original child. Even while collapsing amid the suffering of the cross, Jesus said, “Father, forgive their sin.”
You must here be able to feel the heart of Jesus, who was in the position of a parent, who sought the original child. You must become ones who admire such a Jesus.
The Jesus who was the most pitiable of all in history was, in that age, driven as the ringleader of history, the ringleader of betrayers, the ringleader of heretics. The Jesus that history speaks of today was splendid, but at that time, he was a disloyal and untrustworthy Jesus.
Everyone, do you know that?
That is why it is the mission the saints must fulfill in the last days of today to wander in search of that Jesus who came not as the Jesus who appeared as a victor in history, not as the Jesus who came in glory, but as the Jesus who came in the figure of substance.
Therefore, you must be able to feel, within the heart of Jesus, who toiled to find sons and daughters, the heart of a parent. The day on which the parent and the sons and daughters, who floundered to find the figure of the original sons and daughters, meet face to face is the day God can bless.
To Meet the Returning Lord from the Position of Father and Son
Now, passing the stage of praying in the name of Jesus, one must pray with the substance of Jesus. And the Word must hide behind the personality. The Word is a letter that Jesus, who came as the bridegroom, sent before the bride. But once the substance, which is the subject of that Word, appears, that letter is of no use.
The present time is a time when, centered on the Word, one must put it into practice through action. It is a time when one must bring to a close the place where, conquering the satanic world, one can hand the world over to God.
Therefore, you must, as God’s sons and daughters, have a standard above the sons and daughters Jesus hoped for. To break through such things, one must become a person who knows how to feel the suffering of the cross.
Just as Jesus, severing the bond with his kin and going forth for the sake of the Will, shed tears of sorrow, we must, to sever the physical bond upon this earth, receive the suffering of the cross. One who dislikes this cannot meet Jesus. He absolutely cannot meet him.
Jesus, when he passed away on the cross, said he would come again. That is why the companions of the heart who have passed through that pass of the cross are qualified to stand before Jesus. Centered on the twelve apostles, the 70 disciples crossed over the wall of trial without difficulty.
Even amid the persecution of Rome, because Christianity came forth resolved to adventure, it could conquer Rome.
Today, world Christianity, because it came forth sacrificing itself unconditionally for the sake of the world, has risen even to the stage where it can govern the world. This can be known through the history of Christianity.
Now the time has come when one can, facing the satanic world, set up the sovereignty of Heaven. That is why all the Christians of the world must, joining their minds for the sake of the world of substance, resolve upon death and make a total advance.
Only after passing through the age of the Word and passing through the age of substance is the one day of meeting achieved. And only after the one day of meeting is achieved can one live the life of the Kingdom of Heaven.
On that day of meeting, one must enter even into the state where his mind is felt as my mind, his heart as my heart, his figure as my figure, his difficulty as my difficulty, and his wounds as my wounds.
Only when, having entered such a state, his mind too becomes my mind and his heart too becomes my heart, is the heavenly family formed. Only when this is brought to a close upon this earth does the heavenly family unfold.
Because God is in the position of a parent before humankind, many people today profess that they are God’s children. But that is so only in name. We are in the position of an adopted son.
Then what will you do?
Centered on the Word and acting, you must meet Jesus. In seeking, one must seek even into the mountains, into a secret room, or into the place of death. Jesus, too, passed through the course of the secret room, passed through the time of prayer in the mountains, and passed through the course of the pass of death.
You, too, must go forth with the resolve to walk such a course. When you look at the Bible, you must know such circumstances of Jesus.
When that day of meeting the Lord comes, what will one do?
What must one do? Facing him, what is the first thing we must do? At the time of meeting the True Parents, one must offer for his sake.
One must comfort him, saying, “Father! I have fought in such-and-such a place and brought such-and-such an offering. Over the long span of six thousand years, how much have You toiled to find me alone?”
What One Must Do After Meeting the Lord
By reason of the Lord’s coming, the Kingdom of Heaven is achieved on this earth, but that does not mean it becomes a world where everything goes as I please. Then what must be done? One must cast away all of one's wishes, expectations, and hopes.
From the day one meets the Lord, one must know how to go forth to the place where he calls. And one must have content by which one can comfort him, with a mind steeped in bone and flesh, saying, “How much have You toiled to seek this road, and how much have You toiled to find the true, passing through the long six-thousand-year historical course?”
To comfort him, asking what the circumstances of Heaven, which passed through the six-thousand-year history, were like, is the way of a child. One must not first think of receiving praise.
Just as right after Jesus’ resurrection, Mary Magdalene shed tears when she appeared before Jesus, in going to seek him, one must go silently, with a humble mind.
There is content the human being must liquidate, and what is that content?
One must liquidate the historical faults. One must make an apology, saying, “In Adam’s family it was thus and so, in Noah’s family it was thus and so, in Abraham’s family it was thus and so, in Isaac’s family it was thus and so, in Jacob’s family it was thus and so, and passing through Moses, the successive generations of prophets and righteous forebears were thus and so, and even up to Jesus, all such things are all my sin. Please forgive me.”
In the place of meeting God, we must once again realize the historical faults and shed tears of repentance. And we must give thanks before the grace of the Father.
Only then can God praise us, saying, “My son!” You must know that this is the road of seeking the family of hope, the heavenly family.
The Last Days Are the Age of Direct Confession
You must thoroughly bring to light the historical sorrow of Heaven and the sorrow of Jesus.
One must know how to confess before the Father in awe that it was because of me, because of my brothers, or because of my family members, or because of our people, that Heaven fought a bloody fight even in that difficult extremity of six thousand years and came forth groping to the blood-soaked place of history.
You must know such historical facts. How did God create Heaven and earth, and how did the fall of the human being come about, and when Cain and Abel offered offerings, why did He receive only Abel’s offering and not Cain’s?
And why did the God of the three generations of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob come to appear, and why did Jacob take the birthright by such cunning action, and why did he set up twelve sons and make seventy family members and send them to Egypt, and why in Egypt did He make a six-hundred-thousand multitude and set up Moses as their central figure, and choose the land of Canaan as the blessed land and have them fight for it?
Why did He set up such a chosen-people authority and sovereignty, and why did Jesus die on this earth, and why must He come again? You must know all such historical facts.
Then what must you hereafter do?
One must confess directly, one by one, such historical crimes, the crimes of the age, and the crimes of the future. The last days are the age of direct confession.
And one must not confess only one’s own single sin. One must confess the historical sin and must confess the sin of the age. And one must confess as one is equipped with the ability to pull out all the future crimes as well.
That it might liquidate the past and present and set the new world of the future before the Cosmos is the purpose for which God came seeking the individual. Have you ever thought for yourselves that you are of God’s family, of which God can say He is the first, or “I am one member of God’s household”?
My individual self must go forth to the place of perfection. Because the Father I face is historical, a Father of the age, a Father of the future, I must have content by which, in mind, in heart, or in body, hearing the Word, I can say, “Yes indeed,” and, acting facing that Word, I can say, “Yes indeed.”
On the day of judgment, with what does He judge?
He judges with the condition of indemnity and Restoration based on the historical heart of God, the heart of God of the age, and the eternal heart of God. Though Mary Magdalene met the resurrected Jesus, because she did not know it, she tried to grasp Jesus. But Jesus said, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father.”
Even if one practices the Word, unless one passes through the substantial Messiah, one cannot bear the fruit of the true olive tree. Unless one passes through this, however one practices, it does not come about.
However, one acts; if one does not form a relationship with the substance, it is of no use.
Let Us Open the Age of Hope
We must repent today. To repent, we must liquidate. What repentance is it? It is that one must repent with the sense of mission that one will today take responsibility for oneself for everything that, over six thousand years from Adam’s family, our ancestors, while upholding God’s Will, failed to achieve—the Will they ought to have achieved in oneness with Him.
God is not only a future God. He is a historical God. That is why God came forth, staking all the historical crimes.
So you must know that God is the God who hoped to find me and become an object partner who forms a bond with Him. Only then can one liquidate the sin of history.
As the historical God, the God of the age, and also the future God of hope, passing through past and present, the day on which one forms a footing in the future and there can sing the new glory of the Father is the day on which the Kingdom of Heaven, where we can live forever and ever, is realized.
When that comes about, what happens?
Centered on God, He forms the heavenly succession of generations through sons and daughters of hope. Thereby, being acknowledged as sons and daughters of the heavenly family, one lives there forever. Those people do not need Jesus. They do not need faith.
Hereafter, when the time of hope comes, God will judge all of this earth's six-thousand-year history. There is no need to remember the sorrowful pages of history. When some age comes in, one can say that “I” am the footing of indemnity that can resolve body and mind at the level of the heart; one comes to yearn for the ragged bundle of the past one liquidated.
Everyone, the present age is the age of antiques. Do you know why? It is because one must go seeking the original thing our ancestors lost. One must go seeking the highest antique—the place of the true ancestor lost in the Garden of Eden six thousand years ago, and the relationship with God that Adam and Eve lost, which can be formed anew. After finding it, one must, leaping beyond that age of antiques, enter an age of longing for and seeking a new idea.
This present age, because it beats down and devours and swallows the new when it comes forth, is a world that must perish.
Now one must open the age of hope. One must set up that world we idealize. In setting it up, one must set up that world, which, centered on God, the universe can revere. Today, we must engrave this fact deep in our minds. That is why the seon meditation of Buddhism prizes the mind.
Then what is it that the original I must do?
After deciding upon and being liquidated of all the wrongs of the past, one must sever the past and present. One must sever them without leaving even a seed-kernel. This is God’s purpose, and the beginning of achieving the new world of the ideal and the world of hope.
Ancient civilization was a replica of Greek civilization. Because by studying ancient civilization, one can, in creating a new history, match the ancient spirit to it, such study is needed. But studying only the history of the past cannot be the hope of humankind.
We have a destiny of having to resolve the wrongs of the past. For that, we must become people who know how to liquidate the old, return to today’s new figure of living, and strive for the new. Have you become such a figure? Think it over well.
Would God like it that you, as in the old days, turned over in the satanic world and went about poking into every corner bearing a ragged bundle?
He dislikes even hearing it, dislikes even seeing it, and dislikes even thinking it. He dislikes seeing such people, dislikes seeing such humankind, and dislikes seeing such sovereignty, such history—all of it.
If One Does Not Know That He Is a Sorrowful God
God, burning with new hope, is wandering in search of such a figure of a true son and daughter who can attend Him while revering the Father’s glory.
We must know this clearly. The more we hold on to the past, the more all our ideals will be destroyed. The Jews who believed only in the Old Testament, because they were bound only to the Old Testament, drove Jesus to the road of death. You must know this clearly. Democracy and communism today are so.
If they keep holding on only to their ideology, they will, like the Jews, again violate the new thing.
Liquidating the past that has passed, liquidating that conduct, and liquidating everything on this earth, one must, as the future I, have the bundle of the past packed away.
Unless one does so, one absolutely cannot achieve the family of God that one hopes for. And God regards you as sons and daughters on Satan’s side.
God set up the true Jesus, the only begotten Son, in the family of Joseph. But Jesus disliked it that his younger brothers said, “Elder brother!” Why was that? Because originally, only after passing through the faith course and believing in Jesus, and passing through Jesus’ heart, Jesus’ mind, Jesus’ body, Jesus’ action, and Jesus’ words, can one say “elder brother.”
Jesus also disliked Mary’s calling Jesus her son. To be able to call Jesus one’s son, one must pass through that whole faith course. One must cast away all the content that was in the fallen kin.
Hereafter, when some first-rank bride of the world whom God dearly loves is called before God, it will be acknowledged, “Ah, that person is so-and-so’s daughter, so-and-so’s niece, so-and-so’s elder sister, so-and-so’s younger sibling.”
That is, He will regard her as God’s son and God’s daughter. But the Jewish people, who prized the past, could not think of crossing beyond such a place.
When one looks back on the wretched state in history that inherited the blood lineage over six thousand years, since the people bonded to it betrayed God’s Will, God would even have disliked seeing them.
So it says, do not have my beloved sons and daughters, taking hold of hands, say, “I am so-and-so’s father, I am so-and-so’s mother.” Do not say, “I live in the world this way,” either. Because everything is a result bonded together with the history of sin and evil, it says, do not speak of it.
He is the God of the age, the historical God, the sorrowful God who is being driven even now. One who does not know that is judged. One who truly loves God is a person who has a mind able to pray before God when there is sorrow and suffering.
One must know that it is even an awe-inspiring thing merely to seek the place of death, taking on the historical sorrow and suffering. Those people today who add sorrow and suffering to such a God must all be judged.
If there is one who, in seeking the sorrowful God, prays weeping alone, God will acknowledge him. Therefore, you must become sons and daughters who can say, “How great is the toil of God the Father, who carried on the providence through days of indescribable difficulty?
Even if I should die, I will take on that Will.” At present, the human being is a being that cannot lift its head before God. The more one enters into the sphere of God’s love, the more one cannot lift one’s head. The Teacher, having entered, finds it so. Believe it if you will, and if not, do not.
Human history until now has turned over and over. And in a situation of today’s world where powers change and forces change, if one seeks only one’s own single well-being, one perishes. That is why, whoever one faces, one must seek to lower oneself in a persecuted and wretched place.
We Unification believers must, even standing on a road of being persecuted and driven, walk this road. But do not be sorrowful for that. Since the road the Lord went was so, and the road the Father walked was so, would it not be a matter of course for an unfilial sinner?
A person who is foremost in the mind of inflicting severe suffering to remove the suffering of these people, and, through sorrowful hardship in the future, to lessen the sorrow of Heaven—even Satan cannot deal with such a one as he pleases. God, though He has always come forth amid the betrayal of the human being, wishes to see the heavenly family.
The world is asleep. So we must yearn to become family members of God’s family, and, prizing the forming of a bond with those family members, become members who can lose ourselves and admire God the Father.
God is longing for possessors of heart who can, out of longing for me, hold on to God and weep, and for a multitude who come forth through such a mind.
The Road That Resolves All Han
Today we must, holding on to Heaven and earth, appeal for the salvation of humankind. We must wail over the historical sin and evil. We must wail over the destiny of the thirty-million multitude.
We must, treading over every difficulty, toil to save the people. Unless the day on which Heaven can govern is found before these people, these people perish.
The toils of the past all pass away. But where is the vertical friend who can carry that past onward?
Where are those family members?
Only when such a feeling takes root in each one’s heart and one seeks such a road does one go the right road.
One must go forth to the place of mind where, forgetting eating even though I cannot eat, and, though I be aggrieved, worrying even about humankind and the descendants of the future, one can appeal before God.
As all people well know from reality, they regard the time of Jesus, who came two thousand years ago, as one important historical turning point. In the same way, you must know the fact that, because this time today is a historical time of turning, the crossroads of life and death and the dividing point of despair and lamentation have arrived before our very eyes, and Satan is invading the sphere of our living.
When one looks at the Korean situation, the Korean people are a people with no prospect. It is a people that has nothing, and, though it would seek, has nothing to seek.
Then how must one act to save these people?
There must come forth one movement by which, lamenting the six-thousand-year sins and lamenting the han of the age, one can, raising both hands, call out Father.
Only then can these people be saved. Then what sort of people must be mobilized here? The Christians who are in reality today must welcome our church.
The Kingdom of Heaven is not a place that all enter just because they are pastors and elders. The Kingdom of Heaven is a place that true sons and daughters enter.
Since the pastors and elders have made a pillar by which they can take the road of the Will, before long, there will arise a movement by which all the Christians scattered throughout the world can be witnessed to and come before us. O young people with a sense of the Will! God will cry out that such a time will without fail come.
At first, a pastor wind blew, and, liberating the next age, people said, “So-and-so pastor, so-and-so pastor!” Next, an elder wind blew, saying, “So-and-so elder!” Next, a deacon wind blew, and now is an age when a layperson wind is blowing.
Now one must, without fail, resolve what is knotted. Before the worldwide history of the providence, one absolutely must not be blocked. Unification believers must, burning with such a sense of mission, lead this movement to the end. Even though one is taking abuse, one must lead it to the end.
History, each time it changes direction, needs hot-blooded young men and women who can raise a revolution of change in each age. We must know that. And you must become ones who know how to worry lest, when the heavenly age of the idea comes in at the last days, one become again a pitiful people that betrays and leaves a han for a thousand ages.
That is the road that resolves the han of God, the road that resolves the han of the historical Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and the road that resolves the han of the prophets and righteous forebears.
Therefore, the responsibility of the whole of this age, the responsibility of humankind, must be taken on by me, so that one can, in person, call God Father, and, as the heavenly family, become sons and daughters prized by Jesus and by the many multitudes of the spiritual world.
God too was seeking such a figure as could, as such sons and daughters, facing the road that remains, command it valiantly and go forth, and we too are longing for it as the footing of hope. You must know this clearly.
Prayer
Father! Forgive the crime of us, ungrateful ones, who did not know the heart of the Father, who was sorrowful and sorrowful and sorrowful again, aggrieved and aggrieved and aggrieved.
We ought to have become ones who, through the circumstance that the mature sons and daughters He wished to find were not found upon this earth, know the Father’s mortification; O Father, though we ought to have known that Thou wast the pitiful Father who had to seek and restore this people, forgive us, who were rather placed in rapture. We earnestly beseech and desire.
When his mother and younger brothers came seeking him, Jesus said, “Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?
Whosoever doeth the will of my Father, the same is my brother, and my sister, and my mother.” So, O Father, make us children who do the will of the Father, and grant, we earnestly pray and desire, that we may become Thy true sons and daughters who go seeking or longing for the homeland. Grant, we earnestly beseech and desire that we may become ones who long for the original parents, long for the original brothers, and crave for everything.
Father, grant us one heavenly wisdom by which we cannot but go though we would not go, and cannot but do though we would not do, and grant that the han knotted on this earth be resolved and a new Heaven and earth unfold.
Since we think many of Thy sons and daughters could not take part in this place, grant, O Father, we earnestly entreat and desire, that they may become good sheep who can set up good conditions as guideposts of life and set up the sovereignty of their whole life. Giving thanks that Thou hast taken dominion over all this, we have offered it up in the name of the Lord. Amen.
