This group wedding that is held centered on our Unification Church is not a wedding limited to the Unification Church alone. This is a formula-like course that all humankind must without fail pass through. We must know this clearly.
The reason we must receive the Blessing
Then where does the fundamental cause of having to do this lie? It is because our first human ancestors fell. Had the first human ancestors not fallen, such a thing as our receiving the Blessing today would not have existed.
But because they fell, there remained a course of restoration by which we must again pass over into God’s realm of dominion, and therefore we must climb back up this road. That human beings today believe in religion is also for this reason, and what history has been aiming at is likewise the same.
In the end, where does the final purpose lie?
It is to find a true family. This is the highest purpose that fallen human beings have been seeking. In order to accomplish this true family, a true person must come forth.
Among true love, a true man must come forth first. And so, when that true man finds and establishes a true woman and holds a Holy Wedding centering on God, a true family at last appears.
Because human beings, by falling, could not possess such an origin, we must deny all the families until now and newly, according to the will of God’s Providence (섭리), tread upon and cross over such a family-level standard.
If one cannot cross that standard, fallen human beings cannot return to the original world — that is the view according to the Principle. You must know that no fallen human being whatsoever can stand before God without passing through this formula-like condition.
The meaning of the engagement ceremony, the Holy Wine Ceremony and the wedding
After you hold the engagement ceremony, there is the Holy Wine Ceremony, and after that there is the wedding. Then what on earth are this engagement ceremony and Holy Wine Ceremony and the wedding? These are not ceremonies performed according to some precedent. They are unavoidable rites performed in order to re-enact symbolically once again all the content of the fall and thereby indemnify it.
At what stage did Adam and Eve fall?
They fell at the engagement stage. That is, they fell in the process of growing while looking toward the goal of perfection. Then what is the purpose of engagement? It is marriage.
Because Adam and Eve, from a position of engagement, married wrongly and fell, that mistaken marriage must be denied and newly corrected and crossed over centering on God. Yet even in denying this, one cannot deny it in just any way. It will not do without possessing content opposite to the content of the fall.
Adam and Eve, the ancestors of humankind, fell through mistaken love centering on themselves. Centering on love between themselves and bringing in the archangel, they fell and thereby brought about the result of expelling God, of expelling the original true character of Adam, and of expelling the original true character of Eve.
By thus introducing a relationship of love that God did not permit, what arose for us human beings is what is called original sin. Therefore, for us human beings, the problem is to take off this original sin.
Yet because we human beings were born through false parents, we cannot take off this original sin without re-enacting the relationship of love of True Parents. Because original sin was planted through the love of false parents, in order to deny this love, it will not do without a framework of love centering on the True Parents.
What is it that we seek to accomplish in our Unification Principle centering on the foundation of faith and the foundation of substance? It is to restore the position of the engagement stage before the fall. Since the stage just before the fall was the engagement stage, one must be restored to the position of Adam and Eve, who had not fallen.
Then what must be done in order to be restored to the engagement stage before the fall? Because Adam and Eve fell through false love and became false parents, and centered on these false parents, the three sons Cain and Abel, and Seth, and including their wives, eight family members are in a fallen position; the inner and outer content for restoring the form of these eight family members is precisely the foundation of faith and the foundation of substance. After restoring this, one must attend the Heavenly Parent and cross over.
Here, who the Heavenly Parent is is precisely the Messiah. Therefore, after passing through the foundation of substance, a foundation for the Messiah must without fail be laid. Without this Messiah before fallen human beings, one cannot be restored to the original position. No human being whatsoever among the descendants of the fallen Adam and Eve can take off original sin without receiving the Messiah.
Then who is that Messiah?
He is the True Parents. Then why are True Parents necessary? Because the work of grafting again with the love of True Parents must be done. That is why, unless the True Parents, who are the Messiah, appear, fallen human beings cannot take off original sin and advance to a position where they can receive the Blessing of the completion stage from a liberated position without sin.
Therefore, the engagement ceremony is a ceremony that restores the fall of the human ancestors Adam and Eve at the engagement stage. And the Holy Wine Ceremony is the drawing out of Satan’s blood, which, through the fall, was defiled in lineage. In other words, it is a ceremony of pulling out original sin.
A person with original sin cannot go forward to the position of the Blessing. Because he is in a position of holding within his own body the lineal content of Satan just as it is, there is no way whatsoever for him to go forward to the position of the Blessing centering on God. Therefore, original sin must without fail be settled.
Because this original sin was inherited through the love of false parents, in order to settle it there is no way to take it off without setting up conditions of indemnity and treading them out centering on the love of True Parents. Without taking off this original sin, there can be no Blessing centering on God’s love in the position of a perfected husband and wife.
You who have become engaged will hold the Holy Wine Ceremony before the Blessing ceremony on the twenty-first, and that is a ceremony of the change of lineage, changing the blood of the fall. Fallen human beings cannot go forward to the position of the Blessing without denying all past love defiled by the false love of the satanic world and newly furnishing a resurrectional substance that can re-enact the love of true parents centering on God’s love.
Therefore, the Holy Wine Ceremony is a rite of promising to accomplish a standard of new life through the gate of the love of True Parents. Because life is born taking love as its origin, you must become one body centering on the love of True Parents.
Otherwise, one does not possess the work of resurrection. Only after passing through this can one inherit the qualification of an unfallen Adam and Eve who can establish the law of the kingdom of Heaven, and only by receiving from God at the completion stage the public recognition “It is good” can one be blessed.
That is why one passes through these three stages of process. Fallen human beings must make a lineal change centering on the True Parents. Human beings until now are inheritors of the fall. Therefore, what we must do is completely deny the past we have lived until now. First, one must hold the conviction, “I must deny it completely.”
The change of lineage centers on the True Parents
The parents who bore me now are not parents, and the siblings with whom I have lived until now are not siblings either. Going further, the society and nation in which we now live are not our society and our nation. They are not the society God desires, not the nation God desires.
Accordingly, one must revive this whole anew and, from a new origin of denial, discover and awaken to a new self. That is not accomplished merely by believing. One must present the conditions necessary here. That is precisely the Holy Wine Ceremony.
Then what is the Holy Wine Ceremony, and how is it established? Our parents living in the fallen world are parents on Satan’s side. Because those parents are Cain-type parents on Satan’s side, there must be Abel-type parents. Those Abel-type parents must be on Heaven’s side. Speaking from Jesus’ position, those parents are Mary.
Next, there must upon this globe be a mother in an unfallen original position. In other words, there must be a mother of original nature who has not formed a relationship of fallen love through the lineage of evil. There has been no such mother.
That is why you must find all three generations of parents — fallen parents, parents restored from the fallen world, and unfallen parents — and restore the bond with those parents one hundred percent. It will not do otherwise.
Because the family of Adam and Eve fell, the one who came forth denying that family and establishing a standard God could acknowledge is Jesus. But because Jesus could not fulfill that mission and failed, God extended this to a third time and came seeking, and that is the age of the Second Advent centering on Christianity.
Then what does the Lord of the Second Advent come to do?
Because the age of the Second Advent is the age of the standard of completion, the Lord of the Second Advent comes to find the mother of humankind. That is, he comes to find a bride. The bride whom the Lord, who is the bridegroom, seeks upon this earth is not a bride sought within the fallen realm.
He seeks one born possessing a pure, unfallen lineage. Then upon what foundation must such a bride, that is, that mother, be born? She must be born upon the foundation of an Abel-type mother of the fallen world.
Therefore your mother corresponds to the position of the fallen Eve, and the next mother corresponds to the position of Mary in the age of Jesus. So the mother after that must be a mother who, receiving the protection of Mary in the age of Jesus and able to accomplish the will of the Blessing, can, as a maiden entirely unrelated to the bond of sinners, advance to the position of mother (True Mother).
This was to have been accomplished centering on Jesus, but it was not all fulfilled and was connected only spiritually; therefore, coming to the age of the consummation of restoration today, we must re-enact this and unfold a strategy of fitting it together again.
To attain complete resurrection
Then where must you, born in fallen families, go seeking? Just as, in the age of Jesus, people born in fallen families went seeking Jesus, so today human beings born in fallen families believe in Christianity.
Then where must those Christians go seeking? They must go through a road that can pass them through the womb of an unfallen mother, and enter all the way into the loins of an unfallen father, and be born again. Otherwise there is no resurrection.
Originally the seed of the child dwelling in the marrow of Adam’s bones was to be newly born through the body of the true mother, Eve, centering on God’s love, but that did not come about. This is the fall. In other words, the fall is that the birth of the new life God desired was not seen.
Since one was born in a mistaken position, what must be done to restore this? One must go seeking inward. One must go seeking into the womb of a true mother. That is why today in Christianity it is said that even a person who believes in Jesus is reborn only by receiving the Holy Spirit.
What does receiving the Holy Spirit mean?
Because the Holy Spirit is the mother deity, it means receiving the cooperation of the mother deity and becoming one with the mother. That is, one must do the work of passing through the body of a true mother.
Because the Holy Spirit is the mother deity, when the Holy Spirit descends, one can attend and yearn for Jesus as the bridegroom, that is, as the father deity. When the fervor of that yearning enters a position where one can feel a value beyond one’s own life, new life is at last born. Yet this life does not become a life completed in both spirit and body, but remains at a standard where only spiritual life is completed.
Christianity, which has remained only at this standard of a spiritual resurrected body, has a mission of the age to come seeking the standard of a physical resurrected body. Because such a worldwide mission remains, it has been coming to seek the one time of the Second Advent until now.
The Providence of the restoration of the elder son in the families of Adam and Isaac
Then how has God until now carried out the Providence of changing lineage? In the family of Adam, centering on Cain and Abel, their relationship had to be exchanged. The younger brother had to become the elder and the elder had to become the younger.
In the younger brother subjugating the elder, it is not done by fighting; the elder must be made to submit naturally so that front and back are reversed. In other words, the one in front must become the one behind, and the one behind must be changed into the one in front.
Because Eve fell first with Satan, the one set up as her object being, in the position of Satan’s son, is Cain, and the one set up in the position of God’s son is Abel. So originally Abel should have been the elder son.
Originally God’s son should have been born first as the elder son. That the fallen son of Satan is born first as the elder son is unprincipled. Accordingly, to restore this according to the Principle, one must carry on the business of denying Cain on Satan’s side, who was born as the first son, and establishing Abel on Heaven’s side, who was born as the second son, as the elder son.
And so, in the family of Adam, after Cain and Abel are born as brothers and have grown up, a battle of taking back must be fought. From where must this battle begin? It must begin from the mother’s womb. One must enter again into the original mother’s womb.
For that, one must establish the condition of having gone into and come out of the very position of the seed of the child within the father’s loins. Otherwise one cannot be born as a new living being. This is the principle. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Then what is done centering on Cain and Abel born here?
One must carry on the business of switching the elder son and the second son. By carrying on the business of switching, evil must be made to go to the left and goodness to the right.
Centering on Cain and Abel, born as brothers, the switch must be made. Here, if Cain does wrong, the will is not accomplished. This Providence grows narrower and narrower as the flow of history goes on.
So what happened in the family of Isaac? Here, centering on twins, Esau and Jacob came to make the switch. So they were born as twin children.
Jacob was born as Esau’s younger brother, but here he had to set up various complicated heavenly conditions of indemnity and subjugate Esau. And when that Jacob returned from the land of Haran after twenty-one years and subjugated Esau, the Providence of the switch centering on brothers was at last established.
But this is in every respect outward. Centering on twins the switch was indeed made, but it was made after they were born. In other words, since Esau and Jacob were born as twins and Jacob won the victory in the battle of the restoration of the elder son in his forties, the foundation of the restoration of the elder son before that, while in the womb, had not yet been restored. That is, he won in the battle after birth, but looking at the content before birth, he did not win.
The completion of the inner restoration of the elder son
Therefore here one must enter one stage further. And so, centering on Tamar of the tribe of Judah, Perez and Zerah fought from within the womb. The will of the restoration of the elder son came seeking all the way into Tamar’s womb.
After the fall, Satan was born as the elder son. That is why, when Zerah tried to come out first to take the position of Satan’s side, his younger brother Perez pushed his elder brother aside and was born first.
Here the word Perez means “he pushed aside and came out first.” Before Perez pushed aside and came out, his elder brother Zerah first put out his hand and tried to come out. At that time, the midwife tied a scarlet thread on his hand.
This means that in the Last Days, when such a time comes that elder brother and younger brother are switched worldwide, such a nation appears first, just as the elder brother Zerah put out his hand and came out. That is precisely the communist nations of today.
There is one who comes pushing aside these communist nations and bringing a new worldwide sovereignty, that is, one who comes with a Perez-type ideology of the kingdom of heaven. That one is the Adam of the Second Advent.
Where did that battle win complete victory?
That battle, as an inner battle, was fought from within the mother’s womb and the switch was made and victory was won. The elder brother Zerah and the younger brother Perez fought each other in Tamar’s womb, and the younger brother completely subjugated the elder brother, who had held a foundation of victory.
Because Perez was stronger than his elder brother from within the womb, he could be born as the elder. Accordingly, from Perez onward, in the position of being born having inherited a traditional foundation of victory in the mother’s womb, there came to remain no condition whatsoever by which Satan could again take part in the womb and accuse.
This was inherited down through several thousand years of history until the time of Jesus, and only then was such a victorious foundation inherited. What must the Jewish people of history do in order to inherit God’s will and all the lineal material? A woman must come forth among the Jewish people who casts away all her dignity and face and holds God’s will as important.
Looking at Tamar, Tamar completely forgot her own face and dignity for the sake of God’s will and, standing in a position of holding as important the blood kin blessed by God, went into her father-in-law’s bosom and gave birth to Perez and Zerah.
Such a thing has no precedent in history. Even seen centering on the five books of Moses of that time, all this content was something that could not possibly be forgiven.
As a son of God for the first time in history
Seen from such a position, Mary was, in that age, a woman who staked her own life and pursued God’s will more fervently than anyone. Just like Tamar, Mary was precisely a woman who, giving full integrity and loyalty, stood in an audacious position of being able to force through any adventure in order to leave behind the precious heavenly lineage.
When the angel Gabriel appeared and foretold to Mary that she would soon conceive, Mary answered, “I do not yet know a man, so how can such a thing be?” When the angel again said, “With God nothing is impossible,” Mary answered, “I am the Lord’s handmaid; let it be according to Your word.”
That position is a position one cannot go to without being resolved upon death. According to the five books of Moses, at that time it was an age in which, if an unmarried woman conceived, she was stoned to death. God had Jesus conceived through Mary, who held God’s will as more important than her own life and held God’s will as more important than her own dignity and face. Therefore Jesus is the son of God born for the first time in history, through God’s will, through Mary’s womb.
If so, can Satan accuse Jesus within Mary’s womb?
Satan cannot accuse Jesus within Mary’s womb. That Jesus came to be born too was not with Mary as the motive; because he was born centering on God’s will and by God’s command, the motive of his birth too is God, and the process leading to his birth too — before Jesus within the womb of Mary, who held a foundation of victory in the womb, there can be no condition of accusation from Satan whatsoever.
Therefore, in the ages of history, the whole foundation of battle since Adam and Eve, which originated from within the womb, was at last sorted out from within the womb. The one who came bearing such a lineage was Jesus.
That is why Jesus is fundamentally different from any prophet or any worldwide religious leader. Jesus is a worldwide representative who came furnished with lineal content that Satan cannot accuse.
Moreover, because he is one who came having sorted out all the historical content, he truly cannot but be the first person born possessing lineal content with God as its basis. Jesus was born upon this earth as the true son of God through such a motive and such a process.
Then what kind of being is Jesus, born in place of Adam? Though there were countless men in this world, there was not one man necessary before God. Upon this globe where such men and women live, there was at last one man born as the mediator of God’s love, and that one is precisely Jesus.
That Jesus was in a position of being able to receive God’s love. It was not the position of the fallen Adam. He set out not from the position of the fallen Adam, who cannot receive God’s love, but from a completed position where he could wholly receive God’s love.
Looking at the Principle of Creation, it says that God created the man and then made Eve modeled after his form. That is why, without a completed man who can be born centering on God’s perfect love — that is, a true person — coming forth, one cannot seek Eve according to the principle of re-creation.
Therefore, through Jesus’ birth, a movement to seek Eve upon this earth centering on God, with the man as the basis, could at last be carried out. Then how is Eve to be found and established? She must be made through Adam. She cannot be made just any way out of clay.
The unbelief of Judas Iscariot
From this position, should Joseph and Mary have lived together, or not? “They should not have lived together.” What is this Joseph like? He is like the archangel. So their living together is like inheriting and repeating the fall of Adam and Eve.
Here Mary had to become one with Jesus and, in seeking a spouse for Jesus, fulfill her mission at the cost of any sacrifice whatsoever. But because she could not fulfill that mission, everything was lost. Because everything was lost in the household centering on Joseph, Jesus had to leave home and do the work of seeking a spouse.
Then, having to do this after leaving home, the question is whom to set up in a position like Joseph’s. For this, Judas Iscariot was precisely the suitable person.
Then where must one find a person who can be set up in Mary’s position? Because Mary and Joseph failed in the family, this must be found again. Because Jesus could not connect his mission without restoring this, Jesus left home in order to do this outwardly. And so he found and established twelve disciples and sought to do this work, centering on Judas Iscariot. Nevertheless, his will was not accomplished.
Then what was the motive?
Why did Judas Iscariot sell Jesus for thirty pieces of silver? Was Judas Iscariot’s selling Jesus because of money? Judas Iscariot should have cooperated so that his beloved wife could attend Jesus day and night and be loyal. Even at the cost of parting from his wife, he should have prepared a foundation on which that wife could stand in a position like Jesus’ mother and cooperate with Jesus.
Nevertheless, he could not fulfill that responsibility. Because all such foundations collapsed, Jesus had nowhere to go and could only die on the cross. Because Jesus thus died bearing a history of misfortune, in our Unification Church today such a history must be resolved.
Rebirth comes only through the love of the True Parents
Because Jesus could not fulfill his responsibility, what he did was to carry out that work spiritually instead. Because he laid a foundation of performing the mission in place of father and mother, spiritually centering on Jesus and the Holy Spirit, they are recombined spiritually. The work of giving birth is done spiritually.
Because we human beings today, who are fallen descendants, are born through the mother’s womb, we must be embraced into the mother’s love. This is the love of the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit is the mother deity, that mother deity must, with the emotion called love, find and establish and embrace Jesus, the father. Through that love, the mother deity comes to yearn for the father spiritually. That one feels the colliding force by which the power of that yearning love acts is precisely receiving the fire. Only by experiencing this is new life at last generated.
In other words, one must pass through the mother’s womb and feel the sensation of love centering on father and mother. Without feeling that sensation of love, one cannot be born as a new life. Without love, a new life cannot be born. This is what Christianity calls rebirth.
Because Jesus could not bring this principle to completion and carried it out only spiritually, such business must be done a second time. Therefore, the Unification Church must do this mission again.
Then, to complete this mission, where must one enter?
Who is the coming Lord? Because the coming Lord is the father, one must enter into that father’s loins. Because fallen human beings cannot be born again without setting up the condition of having entered into the original father, one has carried on the business of entering into the loins of Jesus, who is the man, by receiving the benefit of the mother deity who attends Jesus as bridegroom. But one cannot enter Jesus’ loins substantially. So one must enter with a loving heart. With a loving heart, it can be done.
Why have all the Christians of the world until now believed in Jesus?
It is in order to receive the cooperation of the Holy Spirit, the mother deity, and enter into the loins of Jesus. Because Jesus did not marry, he is like a bachelor deity. To go seeking the position of the seed of the child in the loins of such a Jesus, the Christians of the whole world have believed in Jesus until now. Thus, after entering Jesus’ loins, one must stand in a position of having been born again through a restored new mother, and only then is one reborn.
Since human beings wearing substantial bodies today cannot carry this out, one must without fail center on such conditional content and set up that condition and connect it.
One must furnish a point of oneness of heart with the True Father
It is the same in the Unification Church today. Everyone must be absolutely captivated by me. Both men and women must shed tears from wanting to see me. One must have a heart of wanting to see me more and being able to love me more than one’s own wife, more than one’s own husband, more than the child at one’s side. Without such a heart coming forth, one cannot be connected to God. We carried out such work as we set out on the road of the will in the 1950s.
At that time, even though it was a time when the Unification Church members had no Mother, centering solely on me, when I grieved they too grieved and when I rejoiced they too rejoiced, and they entered a position of oneness of heart in which they could feel with me. Then where does that cause lie? It is to enter a position like that of the seed of the child within the father’s loins.
That is why, when the father grieves, the child too must grieve, and when the father rejoices, the child too must rejoice. Unless one furnishes a point of oneness of heart from such a position, there is no road to enter into the father’s loins. That is why grasping through experience (체휼) is the problem.
To establish the condition of having been born again through the True Mother
But being only the seed of the child within the father’s loins will not do, so here the mother’s womb is necessary. That is, one must be born again through the mother’s womb.
So, by my holding the Holy Wedding in 1960 (April 11, 1960), the True Mother was established. Through this, because you could feel the grace of love you felt while in the father’s loins and love and attend the Mother, and thereby form a bond with the Mother a second time, you can at last be born by connecting with that Mother’s bond of love.
You who are born in this way must be different. Then with whom must you become the same? Abel and Cain are in the position of twins. That is, they are the same as twins coming out of one womb of one person. That is why you too, from such a position, in order to sort this out, must do the same work as Jacob and Esau, and Perez and Zerah, tumbling over each other as twins in the womb centering on Cain and Abel. Yet here one must not tumble over as twins but must enter a Cain-type position of conforming to the younger brother. One must stand not as a Cain who opposes but in a Cain-type position that attends Abel and does not oppose and does not refute. Only then can one at last be restored.
But because you cannot enter the mother’s womb, what must be done is that you must become one with my children. You must stand in the position of a child in the womb for three years. That is why I set for you the three-year slogans: first, “Make it a year in which you leave the greatest achievement of your life”; second, “Become a representative of God”; third, “Show it and take pride in it.” Here, “show it and take pride in it” refers to the restoration of the Four Position Foundation.
And so today, centering on these three stages, you are setting up conditions like eating together and living together with the child in the womb. Mother, too, for three years, ate barley rice together with you when you ate barley rice, and when you went out and were active, she carried out activities under the same conditions. Baby Ye Jin and Baby Hyo Jin were born while Mother ate barley rice. In other words, Mother too lived with exactly the same heart as you.
Now you, as Cain-type beings born from the womb, must stand in a position of loving the Mother and at the same time loving the children. And thus, by becoming one with them, you must set up the condition of heart of having taken part in the same rank as twins, and stand in a position of attending to them centering on them. Only then can one prevent the repulsion of two seeds in the womb. In other words, one can prevent the origin of the fall of repulsion, and here restoration takes place. Do you understand? “Yes.” We have carried out all such work without your knowing it.
When Baby Ye Jin and Baby Hyo Jin were born, you ate rice soup. Did you eat it, or not? “We ate it.” Because Mother ate rice soup, the baby ate it together with her. Therefore, you ate rice soup. You must know that this became an absolute condition that can indemnify such content of oneness of heart.
The merit of the True Parents, for which one must be grateful
Thus the history of restoration is not done by leaps but has established all the inner origins by passing through sequential, watertight procedures in order to form a relationship with you in the age of history today. All such content did not come about by itself. It took six thousand years until this road within the realm of present reality was sought out through such a toilsome historical course.
Moreover, it has passed through a course of indemnity possessing a value that cannot be exchanged for anything in heaven and earth, paying the price of the sacrifice of countless prophets and righteous forebears throughout history.
Since the Parents have furnished the Four Position Foundation through such a difficult relationship, you too must be able to furnish the Four Position Foundation and prepare a foundation of victory. This is the Blessing. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Yet, as I said a moment ago, the question is how much you now feel the exhilaration of victory of having transcended worldly consciousness such as parents and siblings in present reality and, with the steps of a new self, made a new resolve and determination of rebirth and passed through the course of indemnity and climbed up to this position.
Now, if you appear as such people, you are better than Adam and Eve who fell six thousand years ago. Moreover, if you stand in a position of qualifying to accomplish the desire of that Jesus who died on the cross bearing han without having accomplished the will upon this earth, then you are better than Jesus.
Well then, are you better than Jesus, or worse?
And are the women better than the Holy Spirit, or worse? “Better.” The Holy Spirit did not possess a substantial body. Jesus, too, possessed a substantial body, but he could not live having formed a parent-child relationship centering on parents, and did it only spiritually. Seen from this viewpoint, you have come to be able to receive the privileged benefit of crossing over at one stroke the position of Jesus, who may be called the saint among saints, through the merit of the Parents; so you must feel gratitude for that. Then do you truly feel gratitude? Children of rich houses do not know their parents’ graciousness. So how grateful do you feel?
Do you know how grateful a thing it is that there is a Blessing in a position where the chains by which Satan, hooking us with a chronic lineal bond, tormented God for thousands of years and so trampled our ancestors, are completely severed, and where, raising the banner of liberation, all nations and all people and all the universe can respond to one another in harmony from a free and equal position?
Now, in living, there is nothing else for you. It is to become one with the Parents. And next it is to become one with the Four Position Foundation of the Parents’ family.
Then what must you do hereafter? In order to establish Heaven’s tradition, Cain must lay the road Abel is to walk. And the archangel, in establishing the environment and the law in which Adam can live, must fulfill the way of a loyal subject and walk a road that does not go against God’s will.
The responsibility of Unification Church members
Likewise, you must prepare an environment in which the children of my family can live a life of the kingdom of Heaven in the future. Therefore, you must be an example to them in every respect. Rather than thinking, “Ah, the teacher’s son has no manners,” it must be done that way. Do you understand? “Yes.”
When you yourselves become an example to them in word and deed, and when they, as sons of Heaven, come to represent the whole universe from a perfect position without hindrance, you can become loyal subjects in the position of the archangel. It was the archangel’s mission, as a loyal subject, to raise the young Adam and Eve and show them an example by action so that they could be united with heavenly law. Likewise, you must be an example from an automatic position.
In the family of the fallen Adam and Eve, neither Cain nor Abel could inherit the parents’ tradition. How indignant and bitter a thing is that! That is why they are pitiful. Though they had parents, they could not inherit their parents’ tradition; it is appalling.
But you, centering on me, can have Cain inherit the tradition and Abel inherit the tradition. You must know how to feel gratitude for the fact that you are living within such a realm of benefit. This position is a truly fearsome position. It is not a position you climbed up to through any means or method. This position is a position of bearing children through the privileged benefit of the Parents. That is why you must be able to share the whole of life and death centering on a point of oneness of heart. Even if I die, I must not let the Parents die twice.
Peter, John, and James- these three disciples — Jesus was in a position like a father to them. And yet, seeing their father go out into the jaws of death, they fled. They are extremely unfilial fellows.
When we look back on such a history of grievance, you must say that you will block any road of death that lies before the Parents and fulfill the way of filial devotion. Even at the cost of one’s own ruin, one must go, saying it is the road one ought properly to walk. It will not do otherwise.
When I look quietly at our Unification Church members today, there are many such wretched fellows who shrink back whenever the headquarters tries to begin some work, saying we always do the same thing. Wretched things. If you do so, your descendants will be accused before heaven and earth. You must awaken to the present situation of being shamed before the Japanese members.
The Blessing is for completing God’s ideal of creation
Then for what does one marry?
It is to complete the ideal of creation. That is, one does it to accomplish the purpose of creation. Then whose purpose is the purpose of creation? Before it is Adam’s purpose, it is God’s purpose. Do you understand? “Yes.”
So before Adam rejoices, God must rejoice. It must become so. Now, seen this way, for whose sake does one marry? One marries because of God. In other words, one does it because of the will called God’s purpose of creation. The will is to complete the ideal of creation.
The ideal of creation is not accomplished centering on oneself. All one’s heart must become one body with the subject, God, so that when He moves I move and when He is still I too am still, and, centering on a point of oneness of heart, inside and outside must become one. Unless one establishes such a standard that can harmonize before God, one cannot accomplish the purpose of creation.
For you to become an Adam and an Eve who have completed the purpose of creation, you must marry, and for whose sake do you do this marriage? One does it because of God, and because of God’s will. Yet until now, seen centering on the will, there have been many improper people who act as they please. When it did not suit their hearts, they had much to say about whether they would do it or not. All such people must be cut off. They are bands that cannot be forgiven in the least before the will.
For whom is this work we are now doing?
It is work for God and for the will and for all people and for the world. It is not done centering on oneself. Each of your individual selves at present, whether men or women, does not belong to yourselves. Before being your own, it is God’s. Before being your own, it is the world’s.
If one becomes a person who, feeling the value of one’s own existence for going forward to such a noble position of bridegroom and bride, devotes oneself and witnesses through all four seasons, by night and by day, one can be permitted the Blessing before God.
Are you standing in a position to receive the Blessing?
Then are you standing in such a position as to be able to receive the Blessing? “We are standing.” Are you standing? “Yes.” Standing, indeed. I have until now taken cripple-like fellows and taught them and set the will straight and blessed them. So how grateful a Blessing is it!
Though you are people who ought to step forward asserting that you will become people who smash Satan and at the Last Days return a glorious victory before Heaven, you are people who came stark naked with no preparation at all. That is why you must discern your attitude of heart toward the Blessing from a historical viewpoint and re-examine and analyze your own insufficiencies once again. You must know how insufficient you yourselves have been until now. Until now, there have been many side effects. They cannot be forgiven, but I granted a privileged benefit and forgave them.
A parent’s heart cannot curse a child going out into the jaws of death. It is a parent’s heart to break through a road by which the child can be saved even while bearing a cross. So I had to bear every cross and save you, who are the children, and go on. But if you take that as the tradition, you perish. You become unspeakably destitute. Before the Parent opens the gate of love, one must look back. One must think about how to furnish an appearance not ashamed to step forward before heaven and earth.
Though you ought to attend to being furnished inwardly and outwardly, with a character Satan cannot accuse, centering on the question of how to become a filial son or daughter who can be praised before God tomorrow while raising the flag of victory, when I look, it is all a mess. Therefore, you must hold a new conviction from this very place. Do you understand? “Yes.”
You must not become the descendants of such betrayers as Peter, John and James at the time of Jesus. You must ask yourselves whether, if I go out into the place of death (死地), you can indeed cross beyond the position of Peter, John and James and block my road of death and go the road of death in my place. Whether man or woman, old or young, one must without fail have a firm oath that one will do so.
Otherwise one cannot resolve Jesus’ han. Without resolving Jesus’ han one cannot come forth to the position of the Blessing. Can you do so, or not? “We can.” Is that true? “Yes.” Let those who say they can do so raise their hands.
The position of the Blessing
Another thing you must know is that the position in which you are blessed is not a completed position.
If there is a bridge of the cross that the Parents walked, that bridge must be walked just as it is. One cannot fly over it. When it is said that in climbing to a mountaintop one must pass over a bridge, one may perhaps be able to lay a road furnished with steel to avoid the danger of that bridge, but there is no helping the fact that one must go over the bridge. That is why the seven-year course I walked remains eternally. There is an individual seven-year course and a family-level seven-year course. This road remains eternally. Because human beings fell at the completion level of the growth stage, one cannot simply ascend to the completion stage. Because we human beings fell at the completion level of the growth stage, one can take off original sin only by climbing above the line at which one fell. One does not take it off at the completion level of the growth stage. Is it not so?
Accordingly, you must know the fact that this position in which you have stepped forward today to be blessed is not the completion level of the completion stage but the completion level of the growth stage. Because centering on the fallen Adam and Eve, the eight family members of Adam’s family, including Cain, Abel and Seth and their spouses, all fell, it is a position of setting up conditions of indemnity before God and entering again toward the completion level.
There, one must feel parental love. The origin of life is that one was born through parental love. Only by passing through that position, where one can hold the value of such life as more important than anything in the world, can one walk a new road. The Principle is arranged that way.
One must feel oneself alive from fingertip to toe and give thanks
Then what does the restoration of lineage refer to?
Only from a position where a self completely resurrected through parental love can give thanks while feeling itself alive from fingertip to toe can one enter a position of returning to Heaven. And yet all sorts of things are bound to one’s toes…. Before you lies a road on which you cannot but kick aside this reality and cross over.
With what will one cross this, and with what will one go over?
Though it is a road of destiny that must be crossed, however much it is a road of suffering through a thousand hardships and ten thousand pains, in that blocked process where one cannot grasp even a single branch, how many people have until now fallen into that pit and died? How many such victims there have been!
There countless individuals perished, and countless families perished, and countless clans perished, and countless nations perished. They all died at that cliff. But if one can lay a bridge across the valley where that cliff is, that cannot be exchanged even for a nation and cannot be exchanged even for this world.
The fact that such a bond of noble value has been accomplished through the True Parents is more precious than being given all heaven and earth at once. We must hold such a firm conviction.
Within your blood, Satan’s blood is stirring. That is why you must lament the shame of your own selves, not furnished with all the elements by which God can draw near, and curse this and tread upon it and only then come to this place. Yet have you even thought of such a thing?
You must go holding a heart that loves that pain of the Parents, a heart pierced with gratitude. You must know clearly that this road is not a road on which you decide good and bad by comparing with your own thinking and your own head.
Only then can you yourselves here newly change your lineage. In other words, the bloodline is changed. Goodness that was on the left goes to the right, and evil that was on the right goes to the left. And goodness that was below goes above, and evil that was above goes below. That is, a turning over of heaven and earth takes place.
The meaning of the group wedding
That, with such a bright morning before us, 777 Couples step forward raising the banner of liberation before all the people of the whole world on October 21, 1970, has the meaning that a cosmic-historical foundation of victory is revived.
How much have you felt that this day, so tremendous and astonishing, is precious? Centering on the Parents’ nation, the Parents’ clan, the Parents’ family, the Parents’ sons and daughters, people have gathered from ten nations. Many nations, beginning with Korea and Japan, differ in culture. There is no average standard of culture.
But by holding this feast, the people gathered from the world will clearly come to know the facts of how the history of restoration has been woven and how the family was established.
That a foundation is prepared in which, centering on Korea where the headquarters is, many nations can, in relative positions, weave a bond of heart of giving and receiving with one another in balance centering on the world — that is precisely this world-historical group wedding. Though the peoples attending here are other nations and other peoples, they become peoples who can praise liberation. But to the peoples and nations that could not attend here, however many merits their ancestors established before God in the past and however many achievements they left behind, a blessing cannot be given.
However cripple-like sons and daughters you standing in this place may be, if even one more person comes to stand in the position of the Blessing, the ancestors in the spirit world, proud that the honor and authority of their own nation is established, will praise this astonishing day without shame and hold a heavenly feast.
Though you are subject-like figures who ought to be able to rejoice even more than those who hold that feast, the question is whether you have indeed furnished an attitude of heart that can rejoice more than they.
A holy day that can resurrect one day of rapture for the ancestors, a holy day that can resurrect and settle the citizens of that nation within the present age into a realm of joy, a holy day on which in the future all people can boast to one another of the authority of their own nation — this unfolds from here today.
When we recall once again your past appearance and attitude and behavior in preparing for such an astonishing and historic day, it is shameful beyond measure.
Even though the past was so, we who stand in this place meeting the one day of tomorrow cannot but pledge with a heart of gathering our strength together and offering unsparing devotion until a new world is organized, so that a new family, a new people, a new nation, a new world that God can love may be accomplished. The period in which that must be done is precisely now.
The True Parents are the absolute center of hope for fallen humankind
Then what kind of position is the position of the Blessing?
The position of the Blessing is the finest in the world. With whom must that position of the Blessing form a relationship? You are not completed by yourselves. You are completed purely by the love of the Parents. When a child is born in the bosom of parents, whether fine or plain, he resembles the form of those parents. Likewise, the Unification Church teaches the way of the True Parents. That is the blessing among blessings for you.
The desire of human beings is to meet the True Parents. Even if one walks the road of death, the one who must be met is the True Parents. Even at the cost of losing all of history, losing all of the age, losing all of one’s descendants, if one meets the True Parents, one finds history, finds the age, finds the future. You must know that such a one is precisely the True Parents.
As I said a moment ago, what the fallen history of the past has desired is to make one world. That is, it has come forth holding as its future hope that at some one time a world of peace will be established upon this earth. In our age today, such a time is passing by.
What kind of being are the True Parents?
The True Parents are the symbol of the desire of the whole. They are the absolute symbol of hope before fallen humankind. He is the fruit of history, the center of the age, the center of the realm of the nations of this world today in which 3 billion of humankind live. The True Parents are the starting point on the future line that can be connected to the ideal world to come.
Then what do the ancestors of the ages of history desire? Whom does the world of unification wish to find? It wishes to find the True Parents. In other words, it seeks to meet the True Parents eternally.
What is it that all people desire today?
Before meeting a world nation, they seek to receive the True Parents. And from whom do the descendants of the future wish to set out? Your new sons and daughters do not wish to be born through your bloodline. They wish to be born through the bloodline of the True Parents. That is why the True Parents become the starting point of the new future. The True Parents are a being that becomes the center of the fruition of history, the center at which the whole surrounding converges into one family and everything that was tangled can all be directly connected again to one point of origin.
That is why one who can perfectly love the True Parents can step forward saying he will perfectly love history; one who would perfectly love the True Parents would truly love the world; and one who knows how to perfectly love the True Parents is a person possessing the value of knowing how to love even the descendants of the future world. Therefore, one must know how to give thanks even if one offers up one’s whole life and sacrifices it to receive the love of the True Parents. Such a person is not lacking in worthiness to inherit the love of the True Parents. You must know this clearly.
To attend the True Parents
Therefore, our desire is not to make a kingdom of heaven on earth. Before accomplishing the kingdom of heaven, the first desire is to receive the True Parents. Because this is the origin, if that origin is perfect, the purpose of the earthly kingdom of heaven is automatically accomplished.
Then what happens when I myself become one who can perfectly love the one who is that origin? If one perfectly loves him, one climbs back through past and present and enters a position where one can stand at the vertical center.
Here, what will it be like in the substantial age thousands and tens of thousands of years from now?
It will become an age in which, rather than going with the future kingdom of heaven and the future world of hope tens of thousands of years ahead, one receives the ideology of the True Parents and the grace of the life of the True Parents, which passed tens of thousands of years before, and accepts that as a foundation of hope.
If you stand upon such a final foundation and are connected to the new Parents centering on one theory, you come to possess infinite value as new world-historical princes and princesses, incomparable to anything of the past. This is not merely words.
The liberation in this position is the liberation of the world, the liberation of the age, the liberation of history. We must know clearly such a tremendous fact.
Have you felt how noble your own destiny of being able to stand in such a position of direct grace is?
My hand too is holy, my face too is holy, and going further, my whole body is holy. Shall such a holy fruit be defiled in an evil world? An ideal religion is one that, awakening to the fact that it is a religion that can dwell in the heart of God’s love, leaves upon the foundation of one’s own heart a holy resting place where God can abide. How much have you striven for this? Seen from such a viewpoint, you are a zero.
Attending the True Parents cannot be done alone. If a man, a man; if a woman, a woman — one must have one’s own relative being. If one is alone, one must receive strength from Adam’s position. And so, by being able to repay and offer something before the Parents, you can at last inherit the Parents’ love and connect a lineal bond to your own descendants. Because the valuable content by which such a bond can be connected through your bloodline is thereby determined, one can attend upon the basis of such a foundation of love. One can attend the True Parents on the standard of such a lineal relative value; otherwise one cannot attend. You must know that.
The heavenly family is the foundation of the kingdom of heaven
Why did God create a relative being?
How would God, centering on the ideal of creation, contact that ideal within this earthly realm, within the realm of living, within the realm of time, and feel His own value with stimulation? He created a relative being as a being to make Him feel that. Seen centering on the ideal of creation, which is God’s purpose, even though you pursue that ideal, you do not know God’s heart. Nevertheless, the ideal of creation must be drawn into reality.
And so what becomes the origin that can bind this within the realm of present living is subject and object, that is, man and woman. Here, loving each other is an expression of the love of the ideal world. It is not a shameful love between man and woman centering on themselves, but a love for realizing a new world and promising tomorrow, a love of universal benevolence.
Through such things, what makes one feel such a noble bond that one can feel the grief of the people as one’s own grief and feel God’s grief as one’s own grief is the spouse. That is, the woman before the man, and the man before the woman. In order to introduce the emotion of the future kingdom of heaven and to teach this, conjugal love is necessary.
Therefore, if a husband and wife love each other as though it would explode, upon a foundation of heart that loves God and loves humankind, then through that family God can take hold and the universe can take hold. That love cannot but be a love for God’s sake and cannot but be a love for humankind’s sake.
Where is the root of that love?
It is not in oneself. God’s love is the source, and humankind’s love is the source. Therefore, everything added to that is like the branch of a tree. It is the same as how a tree’s branch grows thick and puts out many branches and holds leaves and blooms flowers and bears fruit. It is the same position as a tree rejoicing by bearing fruit.
Where does this unfold? It unfolds in the family. You must know that the bond of a loving husband and wife is the stimulating foundation on which God re-enacts the content of the whole kingdom of heaven upon the foundation of the family and can savor it again. Do you understand? “Yes.”
That is why today we hold the relative bond as important. Then with what shall it be woven? It cannot be woven by force alone. It cannot be woven except by love. Only through love can one weave this world and contact God. God gave us love because love is the highest road by which one can reach God. When through this we come to love the world, the world will come into our bosom. And when through this we come to love God, God comes into our bosom. Fallen human beings today do not know the fact that such astonishing content of value dwells within the conjugal bond.
Therefore, we must exert much effort to devise this again. That one teaching does not apply to one individual. When all 3 billion of humankind receive the benefit, it becomes a foundation in which every breast of the man, representing fallen humankind if a man, of the woman, if a woman, is transformed into a love beyond a love that overflows and has more besides. When it becomes a family that can love God from such a position and can praise with unspeakable content of value from such a position, that family cannot but be heavenly. The man of the family who has led it to such a family is a man representing God, and the woman too is a woman representing God. Moreover, such a man and woman cannot but be a man and woman representing humankind.
By your standing in such a position, the foundation of the kingdom of heaven is at last established upon the earth. This foundation of the kingdom of heaven must be connected to the world through the individual, passing through the forms of family, society, people and nation. If there is no foundation that can be connected in this way, one perishes.
The child who can remain in the kingdom of heaven
You must repay the parents’ love. When parents raise a child, even if the parents cannot eat, when there is something to eat, they clutch their own hungry stomachs and bite their tongues and overcome hunger and give it to the child. That love is to raise a child who can do the same for the parents.
Only when the parents first walk a course of toil does that toil of the parents become the capital by which the child walks a course of toil that can comfort the parents. Only when you first hold such a heart of being able to comfort your parents do your sons and daughters become sons and daughters who can do the same, and only by having such sons and daughters can one remain as a good blood kin. If a person centers only on himself and says he does not know his parents, that person can absolutely not become a filial child.
Then what kind of person is called a filial child?
If a child can do before his parents just as the parents did for him, that child can be called a filial child. That holds with Heaven as well. If the parents raised him in between offering devotion, and yet that child says it is nothing to him, that household perishes.
In the principle of giving and receiving, only when a relative standard is formed does it return; and only when it becomes so can God at last descend to that place and the kingdom of heaven be accomplished.
Then what kind of child is a child who can remain in the kingdom of heaven?
He must himself repay the debt of the parents’ love. When the parents have grown old and become senile, one becomes a filial child only by enduring everything and attending to the parents without feeling difficulty, with the heart of those parents who wiped away one’s own excrement and urine in childhood. Do you understand?
In the historical process until now, the law of love of the parent-child relationship with God and the law of love with sons and daughters were shown, but the law of love between man and woman was not shown. The content of the law by which Jesus and the Holy Spirit, bridegroom and bride, can love was not shown. We must show such a new fact. Once that is shown, one need only live centering on that standard.
Though God, coming to seek beloved sons and daughters for six thousand years, showed the bearing of love, He could not show to all people the love by which a man stands for a woman and a woman for a man. It is God’s han that, although He showed the value of love centering on the heart of loving humankind, His sons and daughters, from a vertical standard, He could not establish the value of love between man and woman by which man and woman can love from a horizontal standard. That is why God desires to establish the substance of Jesus and the Holy Spirit and, amid the welcome of all nations and the attendance of all people, to prepare a foundation that can make the value of love shine throughout the whole heavenly world and testify to it filling the whole universe.
Knowing that not accomplishing this is God’s han and the han of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, you must resolve such han of Jesus and the Holy Spirit in your age.
You must establish such a tradition in the new age. For that one must go seeking a woman, and one must go seeking a man. One was not born in order to love so-and-so, or in order to be loved by so-and-so, and one does not go seeking that. From now on we must make a holy start in order to show, through your families, the law of heavenly law and to leave behind the core content that establishes a tradition.
That is why you must, from the position of brothers and sisters, stand for one another as brothers and sisters, and from that position of brothers and sisters stand in a position of being able to furnish the fortune of husband and wife. Only then does one restore the principle of the three great loves — that one loved what God could not love as brothers and sisters, and loved what He could not love as husband and wife, and loved what He could not love as children. On the day when this principle of the three great loves becomes perfectly united centering on your family, one can give and receive God’s love. Seeking thus to realize God’s ideal of creation centering on the family is precisely what the Unification Church calls Cosmism.
That God’s love accomplishes one family in which it can bloom together centering on the three great loves of human beings, is the desire of the world, the desire of humankind, the desire of the future. You must know that this is the precious and beautiful conjugal love that can at last spread the fragrance of history before the law of heaven and earth and appear as a new flower. Do you understand? “Yes.”
The position and responsibility of man and woman
Then what principle is there here?
You are men and women representing the world. Here the woman is on the side of God, the master, and the man is on the side of the archangel. Whose side did I say the man is on? “The side of the archangel.” That is why, in fact, it is not the man who stands on the right but the woman who must stand on the right. But I am somewhat different.
Because the archangel and Eve married, original sin was planted, was it not? So in reaping too, it must be reaped through marriage. Is it not so? “Yes.” Since it was planted through marriage with the archangel, through marriage with whom must it be reaped? It must be reaped through marriage with Adam. Then for Adam to marry, who must there be? There must be Eve.
And in marrying, who must marry first? Must the archangel marry first, or must Eve marry first? “Eve.” Why would that be? Because Eve is Adam’s wife. That is why Eve must marry first.
The archangel must do all the menial work for Eve until she marries, and pray for blessing, and fulfill all his servanthood, and only then marry. Only when the servant has fulfilled his servanthood can the child go before the parent and exhort him, saying, “Father! Since the servant too cannot bear living alone in loneliness, let us make him a spouse,” and only then can he marry; before that he cannot marry. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Then, for Eve to marry, there must be Eve’s husband upon this earth, and who is that husband? “The coming Lord.” If that Lord duly comes and marries Eve, what must the people around them do? Must the archangel weep and wail? “They must rejoice.”
Before Jesus comes, one has played the role of the archangel’s wife. But what happens when Jesus comes is that the archangel has his wife taken away. Is it not so? “Yes.” Even so, will it do for the archangel to weep and wail? “It will not do.”
The women of the Unification Church are restored by walking such a road. That is why, whose side are the women of the Unification Church on? “The teacher’s side.”
The fallen woman attended two husbands. Is it not so? “Yes.” Eve received the archangel as a spiritual husband and Adam as a physical husband. So how many husbands are there? “Two.” That is why, for women to be restored, they must receive two husbands. Otherwise they cannot be restored. That is why for you there are two men, myself and your own husband. It is the same position as one woman having to attend two husbands. It is arranged that way.
Today all the women who believe in the Unification Church and seek to be saved are brides who have come seeking the bridegroom, so with whom must they become one spiritually? They must become one with the coming Lord. They must become one with Adam. They must become one with God. That is, they must become one spiritually centering on God.
Because God is formless, Adam appeared as God’s form. Do you understand? Likewise, because there is no such person upon this earth, I have come to appear as God’s form. Because the fall was spiritual, the work of resurrection is done spiritually. Therefore, if the women of the Unification Church pray fervently and offer devotion, I come to feel like an elder brother. And if they do a little more fervently, spiritually an engagement ring is put on them, and a bouquet is given, and the wedding march sounds. There will be many who have had such spiritual experiences. Those who have not had such spiritual experiences are all false believers. A person who has had spiritual experience has without fail seen such a phenomenon. And so one comes to regard one’s own husband as a mere growth.
Through such experience, an origin is prepared by which what the first human ancestors fell into through spiritual love can be restored, and only then does that love come into harmony. Adam and the archangel, who had been in conflict, can be harmonized. So you have been harmonized centering on me. By this, a restored family is established. Here, seen spiritually, you are the mother. The women are the mother.
Here you must give birth to Adam again through spiritual love. Through the sin of the fallen Eve’s spiritual love, Adam too fell spiritually. Therefore, by establishing a standard of having restored Adam spiritually centering on God’s love, and by connecting that standard to which you offered devotion physically, Adam is restored. Do you understand? “Yes.” Only by passing through such a sequence does one at last get onto the main track.
The mission of Blessed Families
That is why, centering on the family, one cannot but completely restore, through the three-year course, the eight family members lost in Adam’s family and the eight family members lost in Noah’s family.
If one cannot restore them during the three-year course, one is in great trouble. That is why I too, centering on the three-year course, did the work of blessing the 36 Families, the 72 Families, the 124 Families.
Then what is this Holy Wine Ceremony for?
It is a ceremony of injecting God’s body into one’s own body, centering on a new love. Do you understand? Since the fallen body is the only one there is, it is a ceremony of switching it, centering on God’s love. This is precisely the Holy Wine Ceremony. Just as Jesus said that the bread symbolizes his body and the wine symbolizes his blood, and that you must receive and eat and drink it, it is a ceremony by which, centering on love and centering on God’s substance, one inherits a new bloodline and can wash away original sin. Without passing through this ceremony, one cannot go forward to the position of the Blessing. That is why this ceremony is a ceremony of changing lineage. And so, when my family is restored centering on Mother, we lead forward centering on that foundation. That is why, before establishing the 36 Families, whom did I establish first? Only after first establishing Sung Jin’s representative form did I go on to establish families. I follow according to the law of the Principle.
What must be known here is that the people living upon the earth now, whether men or women, have lived within the realm of the archangel, and therefore they are servants before the coming Lord. The archangel is a servant. Yet how much have you kept the storehouse at the master’s house in order to attend the coming Lord as master? In other words, how much have you prepared in order to attend the master, in order to guard the master, in order to manage the master’s household? Have you prepared? You have come until now knowing nothing. Since you think it natural that I should suffer…. You wretched fellows, I ought to seize you upside down and punish you so that you cannot even get up. Is that all right even so? “Yes.” Let those who say it is all right raise their hands. Put them down.
Now, since the time is what it is, I must buy a house and live better than the people of the world. Are you confident you can attend to me that way? “Yes.” Because I have taught you that method, it is by no means a difficult matter. You must know the fact that today is such an important day. Without this day, you would have no road to live at all. Do you think you could do this work in the spirit world after dying? If you go to the spirit world, would anyone even teach you? Who would teach you? There is no one. There it is pitch darkness. One cannot know how the affairs of the world are going.
That all such unknown facts have been brought to light and a foundation prepared on which han can be resolved and accomplished centering on the nation and the world, is a matter to be praised cosmic-historically and a matter for which all nations should bow their heads in thanks; and yet the Republic of Korea today does not acknowledge it. We must go forward with the conviction that a time will come in the near future when we conquer the world. Even if the environment is not so, we must be able to push forward all the same. And thus, raising high the flag of victory, we must go forward with the conviction that we will become princes and princesses of the front line and found the kingdom of Heaven. You must know clearly that from now on the building of the kingdom of heaven is the mission of Blessed Families. Do you understand? “Yes.”
The reason the wives of Blessed Families are mobilized
In order to restore the world, one must love the clan more than the family, and love the people more than the clan, and love the world more than the people.
Therefore, we must hurry for the sake of world restoration. And so, once this wedding is finished, all the women must be mobilized for three years until 1972. If there is anyone who objects, raise your hand. If you cannot do it, I will fight alone.
Then why are you mobilized?
Until now, you have passed through an age of individual indemnity. Is it not so? “Yes.” When you were passing through the age of individual indemnity, I had already passed through the age of family-level indemnity. Because I passed through the age of family-level indemnity, God’s Day, the Day of All Things, the Day of Children and the Day of Parents came about. But you have not yet furnished such a standard. Do you have a nest centering on the family? Do you have a Day of Parents, a Day of Children, a Day of All Things, a God’s Day? You do not. So you have until now been walking an individual course of indemnity. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Now is the age in which the family must be completed. Within the realm of completion of the Unification Church, there is a holy position that no one in history has been able to join or attend. You can join such a holy position because you are a family that has received the grace of the Blessing. Without being a Blessed Family, one cannot join.
When one enters the standard of completion, one meets the Day of Parents who have not fallen. Because the first human ancestors fell at the completion level of the growth stage and went down at the family level, in order to seek this out and climb up again, it is not the individual but the family that must climb up. The individual cannot enter. In other words, the completion stage is a position one must attend, having furnished a restored family that can be completed. That is why you must know clearly that one cannot attend that position alone.
Even if one has no arm, no leg, a crooked eye, a crooked nose, because we have been given the privileged content of being able to attend with a relative ideal, we now step forward with a world-historical victory that can be indemnified at the family level.
When you passed through the individual course of the cross, who pioneered first? The women did, did they not? Then because of whom did the standard of the completion stage go wrong? It went wrong because of Eve. So the cross centering on the family must also be borne by Eve. Therefore, on that course you walk shedding tears, your sons and daughters too will rejoice. On this course of tears of blood along which one must walk the road of restoration, only when one joins forces with the young children in the rear and supports the cross of heart and becomes one, can the family advance and cross over into the completion stage.
Only by setting up the condition of having appeared as a woman who can thus lay a bridge to the completion level in the kingdom of Heaven can one at last indemnify the condition of being able to enter the realm of heaven and earth in which one can be loved before the coming Lord and establish Heaven’s law. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Such a mission remains for the women. One is not completed through this wedding. You are at the stage of the completion level of the growth stage; you have not crossed beyond the completion stage. All of this is content that the women must indemnify.
Then how shall it be indemnified? As in the historical process of restoration until now, mother and child must go through a process of mother-child cooperation. That is why you must set out on the road of hardship even carrying a baby on your back. In order to cross this limit, I intend to make you suffer from 1970. Do you understand? “Yes.”
Originally, you should have walked this road. Had you done so, our Hee Jin need not have died. Because you took my order of total mobilization as a mere snort, such a thing happened. If this time too you do not listen, there will be great trouble. It will not do for even a few among you here to put it off, thinking, “What difference does one like me make?” The historical fortune of the Republic of Korea hangs upon you. That is why you must all pack your bundles and step forward. You go on behalf of the Republic of Korea. The Unification Church headquarters will become a temple without racial discrimination, where people of the whole world gather.
I did not come forth only for the Republic of Korea. Because the Republic of Korea has a foundation laid by the ancestors, and because there is a responsibility to indemnify all the historical conditions of indemnity, I have endured while shedding tears of blood.
Therefore, you must know that, if anywhere in the world a standard of revolution is established and a national foundation of a bride that can welcome me unfolds, it is also God’s will to go to that nation, because the Cain realm must be restored through that nation.
Attend the Holy Wine Ceremony with new resolve and determination
Now then, will you mobilize the wives for three years, or not? “We will mobilize them.” Let those who say they will give up their wives raise their hands. Put them down. And women, will you listen well to my words for three years, or not? “We will listen well.” Let the women who say they will listen raise their hands. Put them down. Even after holding the wedding, you cannot go anywhere. From now on you must spend even the forty-day period of separation at the church. Even after marrying, you must remain at my feet. Once this wedding is finished, I will keep dragging you along.
Now, centering on a national foundation, you young men and women of the Unification Church must become united with one another and bear and cross over the road of restoring the nation and the people. The men must stand in the position of the archangel and attend me. Do you understand? “Yes.”
And the men must send a certain amount of living expenses to their spouses each month. Let those who say they will send a month’s living expenses raise their hands. One must send it even if one goes hungry oneself. Why can you not do that? Why is there murmuring over there? Am I saying something wrong? From now until 1972 it is total mobilization. Here no excuses are necessary. It will not do to use the husband’s family as an excuse, and it will not do to use one’s own family as an excuse either. The husband’s family will not perish even if left alone.
Let us make a new promise with me with such a resolve. Because the 36 Families, the 72 Families and the 124 Families have not fulfilled their responsibility until now, this time those who have been blessed are in a position to cross over the world, and it is a time to establish a new tradition. That is why, when not only Korea but Japan and many other nations carry on this business, you must become women who can uphold Korea’s dignity. Do you understand? “Yes.” If I have spoken this much, you must know for yourselves and act.
You know that there is the foundation of faith, the foundation of substance, and the foundation for the Messiah, do you not?
Now we shake off original sin and ascend. This is a formula. God toiled for six thousand years in order to come seeking this one time for the sake of this. And after Jesus, for two thousand years, countless people of countless nations have been following this road. That you today, sitting here, can come to know such facts within a short time is an astonishing grace. That one victorious organization that can bear such fruit has been established centering on this land of Korea in Asia, cannot but be an astonishing thing. That people of many nations of the world come here to Korea and marry centering on the will is an astonishing thing. Therefore you must attend this Holy Wine Ceremony with new resolve and new determination. Do you understand? “Yes.” Will you make a new determination, or not? “We will.” You must determine firmly. Let those who say they will do so raise their hands. Put them down.
