You will all know well, but what religion has been pursuing until now is a good world. It means countless religions were born in order to achieve a good world upon this earth.
The Providential History of Restoration That Came Forth Seeking One Man
But a good world cannot be achieved without a good nation coming out.
Furthermore, if a good nation were achieved, good people cannot but come out, and if good people were achieved, a good lineage cannot but come out. It means there must be a good clan. It means there must be a good clan among the Kim, if a Kim, the Park, if a Park. And if a good lineage would be achieved, there must first be a good family.
So if a good family were to be achieved, must there not first be a good woman and a good man?
When we set out for the Providence of Restoration, where lies the point of conclusion of conducting the providence until now, mobilizing countless religions and groping for one world and seeking to make a world of goodness?
Before that world can be achieved, a nation must first be achieved, and before a nation can be achieved, a people, and before a people can be achieved, a clan, and before a clan can be achieved, a family, and before a family can be achieved, there must be one person.
Then who must that one person be?
Must it be a woman, or must it be a man? Who must it be? It is a man. Even seen based on the Principle of Creation, when creating the human being, He made Adam first. Because He made Adam first, one must go through Adam.
What does it mean that in the Bible He took Adam’s rib and made Eve?
It means He made her modeled after him. It is the same as when you read some book and then, in organizing it, extract the main points of that book and organize it.
Therefore, what is it that is necessary before one world?
What is it that is necessary before one nation and one people, before one clan and one family? It is one person. And who is that one person? “A man.” If there had been no man, a woman could not have come into being.
When God set out the Providence of Restoration within such a principle, of course His mind must have been earnest to restore such a world at once. But however earnest such a mind may be, and however earnest the mind to find such people at once, or however earnest the mind to find such a lineage at once, or however earnest the mind to find such a family at once, unless one first finds one man, everything is impossible.
What kind of history has the providential history of restoration been until now?
It was not a history of finding one woman but a history of finding one man. It means it was a history of finding one man.
But the men who are now in the world are all made direct descendants of Satan, direct lineage of the enemy. So one must find them back. In finding them back, one does not simply find them recklessly but must find them by passing through a course contrary to the one by which the enemy faced the men.
Then what must be done to find back the men who were born receiving Satan’s lineage during six thousand years?
One must bring out and unravel all the circumstances of having been enemies for six thousand years and must go forward to a position where one can say, “He is not an enemy.” It means that, otherwise, one cannot find that person.
The Posture the People of Israel Ought to Have Taken Before Jesus
Then what was the four thousand years of Israel’s history from after Adam’s fall until Jesus’ time a history for finding?
Outwardly it was a history of finding the world, but inwardly it was a history of finding one person. That one person had to come and find the world. That was his mission. Unless that one person came and built the foundation of a family, and the foundation of a clan, and the foundation of a people, and the foundation of a nation, one cannot restore this world into a good world.
For that reason, God made a sphere of a chosen people before that one person came. It means He set up in advance one good family, one good lineage, one good people, one good nation. Must one not leave such traces in the historical process for it to become evidence that God exists? So it was the people of Israel He set up.
On the day one man appeared in that nation of Israel and became one with that nation, the family would naturally be found, and the clan would naturally be found, and the people would automatically be found, and the nation too would automatically be found. That is why God prepared centering on the nation.
Then in God’s preparing, what did He prepare?
Seen outwardly, He prepared for the sake of the nation, but from an inner position, He promised a nation for the sake of one person. And yet the people of Israel did not know this fact.
To put it another way, it means He established the nation of Israel for Jesus. And yet the people of Israel rather thought that Jesus was coming for the sake of the people of Israel. From there, people came to go against the direction of providence, and for people, the road of death began. You understand what I mean, do you not?
It means that although Israel was established for Jesus, the people of Israel knew Jesus as being for the people of Israel. Because their people were wretched, the people of Israel thought that a savior who would save wretched Israel would come amid glory and crush Rome and conquer the world of the enemy. It means they thought Jesus would come as the Lord, as the savior, whom Israel required.
But Jesus’ position was not such. Before it became so, the people of Israel first had to submit before Jesus. In submitting, they had to submit more than they submitted before the Roman Empire. And yet the people of Israel did not know this.
What was the original posture the people of Israel, who had submitted before a worldwide kingdom representing the satanic world, ought to have taken then?
They had to build a foundation on which they could submit before Jesus more than they were forcibly submitted before the Roman Empire. Without doing so, there was no road by which they could return before God. And yet the people of Israel did not submit before Jesus more than they submitted before the Roman Empire. From there, Jesus’ road of suffering began.
If the people of Israel had set Rome aside and rallied with Jesus, saying they would die for Jesus even though there would be greater suffering than when they were under Rome’s oppression, Jesus would absolutely not have died.
If they had become one centering on Jesus, Jesus could have found a family, and could have found a woman who would represent Israel. God had prepared such inner bonds in advance so that a woman could be found who could indemnify four thousand years of history.
If only the people of Israel had become one with Jesus, it would have been no problem not only to find such a one woman but also, at the same time as finding that woman, to find one lineage. By finding one clan, one people, and setting out at once, they could have made a worldwide procession. This providence, which ought to have become so, was fundamentally overturned.
Jesus, because the nation did not uphold him, had to wander seeking a people; because the people did not uphold him, had to wander seeking a clan; and because the clan did not uphold him, came to be in a position of having to conduct the providence centering on a family. But even the family failed to uphold him. And so, since the family broke apart, finding Eve, that is, the relative woman with whom he had to form a family, was not a simple matter either.
The Beginning of Unification Church History
Without fail, finding a woman centered on a family grounded in the history of Israel, centered on the nation and people and clan and lineage and family, one cannot save Israel. But because the nation betrayed and the people and clan and family all stood in a position of betraying Jesus, before Jesus, who stood in a lonely position, there was no road but dying on the cross.
Then what must become of the nation that ought to have been for Jesus?
It must perish. What must become of the people that ought to have been for Jesus? It must perish. That clan, that family, must all be smashed to pieces. That is why for two thousand years the nation of Israel has walked such a course of history.
When we look at the fact that in the history of humankind there is the thought of the chosen people of Israel, we can know that God exists. From this viewpoint, God’s existence is proven. It means that because God exists, such a thing unfolds. Israel was established for Jesus, and since they betrayed Jesus, they are enemies. They are enemies. That is why Israel, passing through a historical age of close to two thousand years after Jesus came and went, was trampled upon by countless human beings and cursed.
Why is that? It is because they must indemnify their having failed to attend the Messiah, the Lord of Hosts, the King of kings, who came for the world. They must indemnify for several thousand years. And then, if they recover the nation again and find Israel’s sovereignty, they must fight. They must fight in all directions, a fight beyond the fight with the Roman Empire of old. It means that time is not a time for fighting one-sidedly.
Just as when Jesus set out, he set out toward the world in all directions upon a national foundation, the responsibility of fighting and winning in place of countless nations lay with the people of Israel; and because the people of Israel failed in that responsibility—because if they had without difficulty made the Roman Empire submit in that age centering on Jesus, the whole world would have submitted, but instead they drove Jesus into a position of death—they must indemnify that. That is why, during the Second World War, six million of the people of Israel were massacred.
It means that with that alone it will not do, but in the position of having recovered national sovereignty, unless one overcomes this facing the nations on all sides, that is, the Arab nations, one cannot find a road of reviving in a new historical age. This is Israel’s present position.
Even so, can the present people of Israel complete the original mission of the first and second Israel that Heaven established in the past? They cannot. That mission has already been transferred elsewhere. And where that is, it is Korea, which is the third Israel, and the place that proclaims this is the Unification Church. We hold content by which we can proclaim this. The person who came out holding that content is a person called Teacher Moon of the Unification Church.
And thus providential history began centering on the Republic of Korea, which has been going a road of suffering until now. The history of the Unification Church began together with a new liberation, the same as the liberation of the chosen people of Israel. It set out together with liberation after the Second World War.
If at that time the whole of this people had truly become one with the Unification Church, it would have gone forth to the world. The communists would already have all flown away. The world would already have taken its place in a state of peace, and a new ideal world would have been achieved. But today history has not been made so.
It is because Korea today opposes the Unification Church that it is passing through a grievous adversity. That is why, until this is restored, the world too, together with these people, must go a road of suffering.
Korea has not yet even joined the United Nations. It is Korea’s present situation that it is in a plight of being caught by the bait the enemy has cast to hook it. It means that if such a situation in Korea becomes gradually more urgent, our time comes. At that time one must have the showdown. Such a time is precisely these 1970s.
The Teacher’s Strategy for the 1970s
When we look at Korea’s situation, Korea has nowhere to go. On three sides it is surrounded by sea, and to the north the communist nations, Communist China and the Soviet Union, are on guard. The North Korean puppet regime alone is not the enemy. Even if one overthrows the North Korean puppet regime, there are greater enemies than that, and these are Communist China and the Soviet Union. It means that overthrowing the North Korean puppet regime alone is not the problem.
How does one make Japan, which is becoming left-leaning, become right-leaning?
The problem is how one must guard against this. The Republic of Korea must carry out this operation, but at present the Republic of Korea cannot do such work. Then who must do it? The Unification Church must do it. This work must be done by the Unification Church.
In the satanic nations too there are archangel-side nations, Adam-side nations, and Eve-side nations. Such a thing is unfolding centering on Korea. In North Korea too they call Kim Il Sung father, do they not?
A place like our nation’s Panmunjom is the only one in the world. It is a place where Satan and God accuse at the same time. If we ask why such things unfold, it is because otherwise it is not indemnified. And so one enters a time-sensitive situation.
Now the Vietnam problem is gradually becoming urgent. Since the American forces are in a position of retreating, it means just wait and see. After five years it will fall. It will fall by the time I make a world tour and return. Within five years, they cannot but throw up their hands. If one quietly looks at everything that is coming about at present, one can know that it is placed in such a situation.
Now, welcoming the 1970s, according to the Teacher’s strategy, if Korea is the Adam nation, Japan is the Eve nation, and China is the archangel nation. Just as the archangel existed before human beings were created, in Asia, Chinese culture went first. Our nation received the influence of Chinese culture. And thus, it is again giving influence to Japanese culture.
Japan was in a position of having to receive the attack of the satanic world but was in a position of receiving cooperation. When we ask whose cooperation Japan received after it fell, it received Chiang Kai-shek’s cooperation. It was Chiang Kai-shek who pushed forward the remission of more than five hundred million dollars of reparations. It means Japan received Chiang Kai-shek’s cooperation. Seeing this, one can consider that China carried out the mission of archangel-type restoration. That is why China has not perished and remains until now. Now Japan must repay that grace.
Then who committed the Fall?
Eve did. Because Eve fell, even though the whole world perishes, even though material and everything perish, Japan must, in the midst of that, gather all the cultures of all the nations of the world. That is why Japan today is making indescribable development. It means it is making leaping development. It is because it must restore what fell.
To restore, Japan must embrace all its sons and daughters and return to Adam. It means it must return, embracing property and sons and daughters.
That work must be done now. That is why the Teacher is at present directly commanding such an operation centering on Japan. That upon entering this year I directly manage everyone from the Association president down to all the district leaders is all for that reason. Do you understand?
We are fitting our program to the fortunes of the 1970s. The WACL (World Anti-Communist League) conference that will be held this time will become one pass for going out to the world. That an international exposition is being held centering on Japan too is because Japan is placed at a time when the fortune of Restoration through Indemnity crosses over worldwide. Inasmuch as the nations of the whole world form bonds here and return, it will become a good opportunity in which, if only we do well here, we can step forth holding authority worldwide. It means, let us carry out such an operation from this year.
Because Eve, when she tempted Adam, took away everything and fled, when returning, she must return holding everything again. Japan is now placed in such a position. It means there is no end if one were to explain this. When we think from this position and that, the more the present reality of Korea today reaches an urgent point, the more we must unite. Then an opportunity will come when we can inflict a new blow.
That is why now, upon crossing beyond the 1960s and welcoming the 1970s, we are mobilizing the wives as a whole. Because the Japanese people are in a position of having to come in putting their sons and daughters forward, we must keep step with that. That is why we are mobilizing the wives. Because the wives must all go carrying their sons and daughters on their backs when they go out to witness, there will be all sorts of things, weeping and wailing.
The Unification Church, Which Can Ride the Worldwide Fortune
Seen from this position, one can know how near our time has come. Now the 1970s are a time when the Unification Church can ride the fortune. The fortune is flying vigorously toward the Unification Church, but how does one handle this? Is there anyone who can handle this? It means there is not. This is the greatest problem. It is not that having no money is the problem but that having no people is the problem.
All of you, money is necessary, is it not? “Yes.” For what is money necessary? Is it necessary to eat and live?
Such things are all unnecessary. You must become an offering. Welcoming such a time, you who have stepped forth to receive the Blessing must become offerings. You must become worldwide offerings. On the day one holds such a feast, a worldwide matter unfolds.
If the WACL (World Anti-Communist League) conference is held in Japan, what must be done in Korea? In Japan, from now on, they are beginning a movement of striking down the communists. Then in Korea one must hold a worldwide Blessing event. And thus, inside and outside must be revealed at the same time. That you have appeared in the midst of doing such work is a tremendous fact.
Then what has all religion of the historical age done until now?
Until now religion has come forth, finding one man again. Religion until now did not permit the ideology of an object. It did not permit what was new. But it means that if one goes forth in that way, one comes to perish. But if, in the historical age of coming forth, finding one man, one goes to a standard where one can say one has found the man; after that one must find the woman. What has presented a movement for finding the woman is the Unification Church today. That is why, if we ask what the Unification Church is a place for doing, it is a church that finds the family.
Until now, religion has come forth finding the individual. Do you understand? “Yes.” If one finds an individual and forms the foundation of a family, that family becomes a clan. Furthermore, that family can become a people and can form a nation.
Accordingly, that family becomes one the more the days pass until it finds a nation. It means the more sons and daughters one bears, the more they unite. It means they band together like iron and stone.
If only it became so, because the movement for finding a nation centered on the Providence of Restoration has already begun; from then on, one runs along the normal course for finding the world. One must stretch out to the world.
First, one must make one's family centered on the Providence of Restoration and organize one's clan. On the day one organizes that one clan, the fortune of the world will differ. History is now advancing toward that day.
The Single Qualification by Which We Can Receive the Blessing
Then, now that you have gathered, seeking to receive the Blessing, what is the Blessing?
Because for six thousand years until now religion has carried on a history of finding one man, if you who were born as women had not entered the Unification Church, you could not receive the Blessing centered on God. It means that however much one devotes sincerity for a thousand years, or ten thousand years, one cannot receive the Blessing centered on God. It means that if the Unification Church had not come out, there could be no such thing as the Blessing either. If there were no Teacher, it would be out of the question.
What is the Fall?
It is having love among themselves. It became so because of Satan. So it is the first thing in this age since history began that a new husband and wife who have formed a bond of love centering on God step forth, raising the flag of a new history in a new heaven and earth.
Then do you have the qualifications to take part here? You do not. If there is a single qualification, what is it? It is that you have known True Parents. That you have known True Parents is precisely that qualification.
When we set out the forebears who came and went on the course of the Providence of Restoration until now, if we ask whether you have become splendidly qualified ones who can face those forebears, it means you have not. But they did not know the Parents. Jesus too came to this earth and went without teaching the qualification of True Parents. Of the ancestors of old, Abraham, Moses, and anyone else besides, none knew True Parents.
If we ask what the single thing that differs between Unification Church members today and them is, it is that they have known True Parents. So it is enough if you only hold the conviction that says, “We are the sons and daughters of True Parents." Nothing at all in the world can deny this. Not even God can deny this. It is absolute.” All of you, have you held such a conviction? “Yes.” Well, those who think they have held such a conviction, raise your hands. Put them down.
Neither a Loyal Subject nor a Filial Son Can Be So Alone
Then if one has known the Parents, what must one do before those Parents?
One must be filial. One must become a filial son. Furthermore, centering on those Parents, one must become a loyal subject of that nation. That is because those Parents have led the nation and led the world. Before becoming a loyal subject, one must become a filial son, and before becoming a filial son, one must become a member of the household who can boast of setting out as true brothers. A household member is a name that puts forward an authority by which brothers can praise one another. Is it not so?
Then how does one act to be a filial son?
One must be filial beyond the filial piety with which in the past a man and a woman married and became husband and wife and led a family and were filial before their parents. Before marrying, one cannot become a true filial son or daughter. A true filial son or daughter can become so only after marrying.
Only by marrying and forming a husband and wife and, before those parents, adding the wife’s filial devotion to the husband’s filial devotion so that the two are equipped with a foundation of filial devotion in upholding the parents, can a true sphere of filial piety be established.
A loyal subject, too, is not something one becomes alone. The loyal subject spoken of in the Unification Church cannot be so alone. Only a husband and wife who have formed a family can become loyal subjects. That is why, for you to set up a signboard saying “loyal subject,” you must bear a filial son.
If one would set up a standard of having achieved the Father’s highest wish, one must set up a condition of indemnity.
What is the Father’s bitter resentment?
It is having lost, centering on Adam and Eve, three sons and their partners, that is, eight family members. So it means that if one would resolve that han, one must find and establish three sons and daughters. It means that if one finds three sons and daughters, with men and women, it becomes eight family members.
Setting up these eight family members is the foremost road by which one can be filial and loyal. Without setting up these three sons and daughters, one cannot return to God. It means one cannot but cross this line of death.
If we ask what the Fall is, it is having lost eight family members centering on false parents. To put it another way, it means the Fall is having lost eight family members, Cain and Abel and Seth and their partners together, centering on evil parents. So one must find and establish eight family members again. It means that to cross beyond the line of death, one cannot but be equipped with eight family members. There is no end if one were to speak of this content in detail.
You must become filial sons before God. A filial son is not something one can become alone. Only by three brothers becoming one centering on the three-position foundation can one become a filial son. All of you, there is the three-position foundation, is there not? That three-position foundation must become one. The three families of the three-position foundation must become one as brothers, and again, the three children of each family must be rallied. Then three times four is twelve, and it becomes twelve children. That is the first foundation of Israel. It becomes the origin of the founding of a tribe, a clan, or, to put it another way, a lineage.
Jacob perished as his twelve children fought among themselves. So we must play the game of living with the twelve children joining. Jesus too, to play this game, went about leading twelve disciples, saying, “Resemble me, resemble me.” And so during the three-year course of his public life, he gave every sincerity, but it did not go as he wished.
And so, because he could not trust them all, he specially set up three among them and came forth centering on them.
Centering on God, Adam, and Jesus is a three-generation type. It means three generations. Centering on Jesus, there must be three generations. But because the result turned to failure, he could not enter the road of restoration.
Since he lost even those three people specially chosen among the twelve, could he go the road of restoration? It means he could not go. It means he could not restore. It means he could not enter the road of restoration. It means he could not cross over.
Find the Eight Family Members
But you have one blessed thing. It is precisely that, because there is a foundation centered on the bond of True Parents, you can go in and out of the road of restoration. You are in such a position.
So it means quickly establishing sons and daughters of faith. A woman must establish three daughters, a man three sons.
Originally, the person who witnessed must marry off his sons and daughters of faith among themselves. Do you understand what I mean? What will remain under heaven is nothing but the Blessing. Nothing but the Blessing. It means that too is possible because the Teacher attests it all.
Marriage is not something done alone. If a parent of faith has three sons and daughters whom he himself witnessed to, he must take the three sons a man witnessed to and the three daughters a woman witnessed to and, making them first, second, and third, marry them off just as they are. And thus, one must find eight family members. Because the eight family members of Adam’s family were lost, if one cannot find these eight family members, one cannot enter the road of restoration. Is that not so? “Yes.”
In Noah’s time too, when there were eight family members, He judged. It was because there were eight family members that He could sweep away the satanic world. It means that if there are no eight family members, one cannot restore.
Jesus also did that game to establish eight family members. That he established three disciples too was because eight family members were needed in achieving Israel. Jesus’ three disciples are an archangel type representing the three ages. To put it another way, Jesus, as an individual, restores through indemnity in one moment, passing through three ages, what Adam did wrongly. He restores entirely the three angels lost spiritually.
Why did the three wise men from the East come when Jesus was born?
That was that they came as a restoration type of the archangel of the spiritual world. They were people of the Gentiles and had no relation whatever with Jesus. That such three wise men from the East came and offered gold and frankincense and myrrh was a promise that they would offer everything of the spiritual satanic world, that is, of the archangel. Through that, Jesus set out as an Adam-type being.
Since here the representatives of Satan’s side offered everything, the three great priests of Israel, who were the representatives of Heaven’s side, had to submit. If they had done so, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross. But because that did not happen and all was lost, Jesus died on the cross. Where did the archangels who came seeking from the spiritual world go? Where did the priests who were the representatives of the nation go? It means all were lost.
Then where did the representatives of the newly risen religion, who had to bear witness to Jesus centering on John the Baptist, go?
These too were all lost. Since Joseph’s family too, and even the last three disciples, were all lost, where was there for Jesus to go? It means there was nowhere at all. So there was nothing to do but to die.
But now you differ from Jesus at that time. It means you of the unification family are standing in a position greater than Jesus. Do you understand? It means a great unification clan. We hold the solemn task called “people-level restoration” from a position of being an offering standing in place of these people. It means that from a providential viewpoint we hold the sphere of the third Israel. Here there is a clan. It means there is a clan that will stand in place of the people. Also here there is a family. Also here there are Parents. So it means it is better than Jesus.
The Second Seven-Year Course
When one looks at you, it seems you are a bunch of loafers; what qualifications do you have?
I mean, do you have the qualifications to receive the Blessing?
You have come and are sitting, saying you will receive the Blessing, but what work have you done during the several years since you entered the Unification Church? The Blessing is not something one can receive by just coming and sitting like that.
After devoting a thousand years of merit and establishing ten thousand years of merit, one’s descendants must come and, offering ten million thanks solemnly, and with all people of the heavenly world and the earthly world looking up and praising the glory of that day, receive the Blessing. Can you indeed be so?
That is why you must receive the Blessing through the Teacher. This is the formation-stage Blessing. This Blessing is not a completion-level Blessing. It is to cross beyond the completion level of the growth stage within the fallen sphere.
If one receives the Blessing and has three sons and daughters of faith, one crosses beyond the completion level of the growth stage. After that, there is a seven-year course. There is a seven-year course before receiving the Blessing and a seven-year course after receiving the Blessing. The Teacher too has come through such a course.
Do you know what the second seven-year course is?
One must set up a restored family and go through a seven-year course, and this is the second seven-year course.
Then why must one go to a second seven-year course?
It is because the Unification Church must find the family. Do you understand? The Unification Church is a religion for the family. It is not a religion for the individual. Religion until now was a religion for the individual, but the Unification Church is a religion for the family.
Only so can one establish a new nation. Because past religion centered on the single one, that is, on the individual, it could not find a nation. It means that because it could not achieve a family, it could not establish a nation. There was nothing but a spiritual nation. It means it could not establish the foundation of a nation upon this earth. That is why the Teacher crossed over the second seven-year course.
Now, if one would settle God’s Day, the Teacher must cross over the third seven-year course. One must set up the standard of the completion stage and be able to attest to God’s love. Only by crossing such a stage can one settle God’s Day.
Then, since you here have crossed beyond seven years, does another seven-year course remain, or does it not remain? “It remains.” It means it all remains. This is precisely the course that Blessed Families are now going.
If one cannot go this road, even though one received the Blessing, one cannot be enrolled in the heavenly kingdom. The gate of the heavenly kingdom is all open, but if one cannot cross this seven-year course, one cannot enter. Without being equipped with ceremonial garments, one cannot enter. It means one cannot go.
Though the Teacher has taught you such content of the Principle, if you should be unable to put this into practice, the Teacher does not take responsibility. Only when you stand in a position of taking principled responsibility from a Principle viewpoint does the Teacher take responsibility for you. Do you understand? “Yes.”
After receiving the Blessing, one must once again be separated. So this time the Teacher intends to give the Blessing and then separate you all for at least about six months.
You must all be separated north and south and now find a road by which you can be restored and cross over. If one does not do this, even though one receives the Blessing, one cannot go to the heavenly kingdom. This is principled. Do you understand? “Yes.”
When we look at the worldwide fortune and the world situation centering on the 1970s, everything is now crowding in through one hole, so one must adjust this. It means one must handle it. The question is whether, welcoming the 1970s, one does this work or not. It means this work must be done in the 1970s.
That is why we do various works, such as the Victory-Over-Communism rally. The reason the Teacher is hurriedly seeking to build a training center at Sutaek-ri lies here too. It means the time we have wished for has come. One must not miss this time. At this time one must do everything. One must even take an adventure. That is why we are doing that work. But because it overlapped with this training session, I came away leaving the building half-built. Today too I am gathering them all and giving instructions. It is because one must not miss the time.
The Basic Condition of the Blessing
When we set out the six thousand years of history until now, it was a history of finding a man. It came seeking a man. It is because the woman is restored through the man. Because at the creation, too, He created the man and then created the woman; this cannot be helped. The principle of history is unchanging.
Then, centering on whom can you receive the Blessing here?
It is the Parent. It means True Parents whom one can absolutely trust. If one receives the Blessing without holding an absolute conviction by which one can say, “I have come forth holding flesh and blood (피살) centered on the bond of True Parents." No force whatever can sever this bond; one is punished.
It means that hereafter, on the day you are caught on this condition and cross over, you will become wretched. Just watch the Blessed Families until now, too. I mean, what their result becomes. That time will come. Such people have returned to the satanic world.
What will become of their descendants hereafter?
I will not say that now. Even their relatives and the forebears who are in the spiritual world are dragged in. Such a tremendous problem is at stake.
You have appeared, representing history and representing the good forebears. It means you are in a solemn position of having appeared representing the good forebears and your clan of this age.
When we went out to witness in the year 1960, the people who relentlessly opposed the Unification Church were all punished. They were all broken off. It means that whatever anyone says, such people were all broken off. It means, on the day we take our place, just watch. On the day our families take their place, just watch. Fire and thunder will fall. Though they carried on as they pleased, it means just watch. It means Heaven is not used. Under such tremendous inner promises, we are making a solemn march.
What is our single conviction?
It is that we have come forth receiving the flesh and blood of True Parents. That is why, even though hundreds of millions of satanic forces of the satanic world surround us, they cannot invade us. It means we differ from Adam and Eve of old. It means we are not people who center on private interest and selfish desire.
It is our destiny to tread upon and rise above the bitter resentment that left behind the origin of the Fall because of their desire. That is why, for us who have stepped forth to tread upon and rise above such a pass of bitter resentment and welcome the holy day of restoration, a conviction must be firm that says one cannot abandon it, however any danger or any crisis of death may cross one’s path.
Receiving the Blessing without such conviction is toying with Heaven. For such a person it is rather better not to receive the Blessing.
For you, six thousand years is added as a plus. Since for six thousand years until now He has come seeking a man, it means six thousand years are added to you as a plus. Well, are you men who have been found? Are you men who have been found? “Yes.” Have you fought Satan and won? Have you fought spiritual Satan and won? Have you won or not won? It means you do not qualify. You do not qualify.
Without making Satan submit, it will not do. One must make the people-level Satan and the national Satan and the worldwide Satan submit. Who did that? The Teacher did it alone. Though the Baedal people opposed and the Republic of Korea opposed, the Teacher has done that work alone.
You must always go together, going east if the Teacher goes east, and west if he goes west, and south if he goes south, and north if he goes north. Without holding confidence to follow, one cannot hold the glory of victory.
Now Is the Time to Go by Family Units
Well, all of you, have you lived so?
When you were told to go out to the provinces, did you all go out? When you were told to sacrifice for the Will, did you sacrifice? “We did not.” Why did you not? It means that if you would do as you please, go out.
More than two-thirds among you must stand on God’s side. Until now, more than two-thirds have been on Satan’s side. It means Satan was two-thirds. It means what was on God’s side did not even amount to a third. Is that not so?
To restore one’s whole lifetime through indemnity, one must, among those living until now, sacrifice more than two-thirds centering on God. Have you done so, or not? If you have not done so, it means that from now on you must cut off all your necks.
If one blesses such people, it means the Teacher shoulders one more burden. You must not think it fortunate that the Teacher does such work. Nor does it mean that it becomes a profit to an individual at once. It means the Teacher does this game because he felt the responsibility of having to shoulder their crosses in their place. It is a position of standing in place of everything Adam and Eve failed to be responsible for.
Accordingly, you must make an inner resolve by which you can give thanks and repay the Teacher and must also put that into practice outwardly. However much one has resolved inwardly, if one cannot show it outwardly, it is useless. It means that if you only say in your minds that you must go for the Will, that will not do. One must act as the mind wishes to act. Inside and outside must be in accord.
The road of the Unification Church is not a road one goes as an individual. It is a road one goes on as a family. It is a road one goes on together with household members, having formed a family. Do you understand? “Yes.” In the household there are parents, and there are brothers.
If among household members one cannot hold a brotherly love beyond that of the brothers of the world, one is a fake. Such people come to be indemnified hereafter. However much one seeks to avoid it, one cannot avoid it. In any case, one is pushed out. However much one holds out, one comes to be pushed out.
The next one goes to each one’s own family. Do you understand? “Yes.” Each household member too comes to have a family, does he not? It means families arise, such as the elder brother’s family, the elder sister’s family, and the younger sibling’s family. Now the time of going as household members has passed.
From now on is the time of going by family units. What raises one to a stage where one can go as a family is precisely the Blessing. Then which is the precious time, the time of going as household members or the time of going as a family? It is the time of going as a family. This is the whole wish of six thousand years of history.
That is why, adding the countless ancestors, including the prophets of each religion who came and went in the course of the history of restoration, God is present there and finds the man. And so He makes household members.
If one thus finds and establishes a man, that man fights. That is why accidents have arisen until now. Where is there a unified man? Well, have you all become one? When the regional leader goes out to the provinces and suffers, have you even once wrapped up a bowl of rice and gone seeking him weeping? While you yourselves eat. These fakes, and shamelessly, you would receive the Blessing? It means, stop it all and repent.
The Unification Church is a church that teaches the Parents in place of God and all the sages and wise men of a history of misfortune. It has taught the Parents until now.
If there are no Parents, God too is unnecessary, and the sages and wise men too are unnecessary. It means all are unnecessary. Through completely finding the Parents and being equipped with the bond of brothers and becoming one, the departure of a new household, a new family, unfolds. That is why you must make a three-position foundation.
The Living of Blessed Families
You will without fail have parents of faith. Those parents of faith will have three sons and daughters of faith, and if you cannot become one with them, you cannot stand before the Will. Do you know the three-position foundation of the person who witnessed to you? And have you become one with them? If you have not, all are fakes.
Because you have not formed such a bond, if we ask what one must do, one must do that work centering on the Teacher’s family. So it means becoming one with those people set up as representatives in place of the three brothers of the Teacher’s family.
If you have become one, it means forming a bond of brothers on a Cain-Abel standard centering on the Teacher’s sons and daughters rather than the three sons and daughters of your family. Is there anyone who cannot do even that?
You know to put on clothes when your body is cold, saying it is cold, and know only to eat when you are hungry, but when have you thought about whether the children of the Teacher’s family are going hungry or how they are? Even in the Teacher’s living together with his sons and daughters, there is a formulaic course. Attend them for just three years; absolutely attend them. It means one makes them suffer to death so that they do so night and day.
All of you, have you lived so?
It means you all live centering on yourselves like fallen brats of Satan. That is a serious problem. Would it do to go about like gangs who loaf about as they please, saying, “What is God? What is the Teacher? What are the people at the headquarters? What is a district leader while we are suffering? Surely there are no such gangs here?
Everything must be made to conform to the principle. One must set out conforming to a principled foundation. If brothers are to love one another, there must be such a foundation. Household members mean brothers. Jesus was born upon this earth and did not receive the parents’ love. He did not receive brothers’ love either. He did not receive relatives’ love either.
Since you have household members, you must become people who can give and receive love among brothers and who can be there for one another. You must become such model household members. If it be the Unification Church, one must become a man and a woman whom the whole household of the church can uphold.
All of you, have you become such men and women?
There is no need to speak of it. All sorts of people have gathered, and the question is whether, among them, no one has sold off the name of a household member. It means, would not such a one, if he received the Blessing, sell off the name of the family? Many loafers loaf about saying they received the Blessing. It is not for making such trivial families, families of a kind that cannot but be settled and cleared away, that I have suffered until now.
From now on, I must cut what must be cut with a dagger and dissect what must be dissected. It will not do for you to do as you please. Because the Unification Church is a church that must achieve the heavenly kingdom, it must find not the individual but the family. Do you understand? “Yes.” Hereafter, in our Association headquarters, the family department will become the most important department. A person who cannot be a model in family living will receive worldwide censure. He will receive cosmic censure.
Once one marries, one cannot be separated. On the day one is separated, one comes to be in a position worse than Satan. Then Satan accuses. Satan treats one as Satan. It means Satan accuses, saying, “Hey, you lowborn wretch, I fell at the completion level of the growth stage, but you trip up the Teacher who is at the completion level, you lowborn wretch. And you say you will go to the heavenly kingdom? That makes no sense.” It means one becomes more evil than Satan. Do you understand? It is a fearful thing. It is a fearful thing. There must be no such thing. If one goes to the spiritual world, one will undoubtedly be caught in such a case.
If there were no such content, for what would the Teacher have suffered until now? I mean, would the Teacher do this work because he is more worthless than you? It is because this work is absolute that he does it. If one would restore what has fallen, one must set up an absolute conviction and an absolute principle and cross over.
Then what kind of position is this position where you stand today?
The countless prophets and noble forebears of six thousand years of history are added as a plus, and God is added as a plus, and next the Teacher’s own lifetime is added as a plus. To bring the Teacher out to this position, God has come preparing through three generations from the Teacher’s ancestors. This is content that no one at all in the Unification Church has known until now. This is a story I tell for the first time to the trainees this time. I tell it because the time has come.
One must pass through such a history. Otherwise, it violates the history of Restoration through Indemnity. It must fit exactly. It must fit exactly inside and outside. Otherwise, one cannot be saved before God.
The Result of Action According to the Principles and Rules
Among the fellows who come to the Unification Church these days, there are all sorts of fellows. It means there are many swindlers who, having learned the Unification Principle, say they will make something out of it themselves, saying this and that.
They say the Teacher of the Unification Church is John the Baptist?
Did I bless them? For them to call him John the Baptist… Just watch. What becomes of such swindlers? It means just watch whether they become like dog food in the street or not. It means that even if I keep still, it becomes so. It means their destiny is made to turn so according to their conduct. It means I do not do such a thing.
The work the Teacher does is not done by rule of thumb. It is done according to principle. It is done according to a result obtained by passing through scientific verification and analysis according to principle. And after having experienced it, I have you do it.
That is why the satanic world melts away. What the Teacher says generally all fits, does it not? “Yes.” It seems it will not become so, but it becomes so. Why is that? It is because the principles and rules are so. If one sets out from a proper cause and passes through a proper process, the result is made to appear without fail properly. This is the principle of heavenly reason.
Then do you know the Teacher?
Do you know the Teacher, or not? “We know.” How do you know? Which of the teachers do you know? You know only his face. Do you think the Teacher is only to the degree of the Principle you know or the Principle he teaches? The Principle you know is the Principle up to Jesus’ time. It is not the Principle of the Teacher’s time. Do you know the Teacher’s history? “We do not know.”
If you do not know, what did you come to this place for? Have you become filial sons? Have you not? “We have not.” Do those who have not even become filial sons have the qualification to sit here? Have you become loyal subjects, or not? “We have not.” Are those who have not even become loyal subjects sitting here?
Then does God know about the Teacher, or not? “He knows.” Do the forebears who have gone to the spiritual world know about the Teacher or not? “They know.” You must become ones who can be for the Teacher beyond the degree to which God and the forebears are for the Teacher. Loafers who doubt, saying this and that, such trivial fake fellows; not one has the qualification to sit here.
The Teacher fought through forty years of life and held the Holy Wedding ceremony in the year 1960. Until then, I went to prison countless times. I was struck countless times and struggled while vomiting blood dozens of times. And yet when have you been treated with contempt, and when have you been struck harshly, and when have you shed blood?
When have you received such persecution? Having invested my life and crossed countless borders and built the ground, I must hand it all over to these fellows like a band of beggars…
It means you have no qualification at all by which you can receive the Blessing.
Even if the satanic forces cut off all your necks and threw them into the Pacific and made them water ghosts, the Teacher could not acknowledge you. Since there is nothing to be done, I have you blessed.
Let Us Hold Absolute Conviction Concerning True Parents
Among you, those who think they have the qualifications to receive the Blessing, raise your hands. Those who think from a Principle viewpoint that they have the qualification to receive the Blessing, raise your hands. Then, though until now you lived as you pleased, from now on will you live absolutely believing the Teacher’s Word? “Yes.” You must know clearly. Will you believe? “Yes.” Then one must also go across the 38th Parallel to North Korea and come back. Will you do so? “Yes.”
Even after marrying, one must be able to say thank you even though one’s wife is sent out and be able to say thank you even though one’s husband is sent out. One must gladly go and come back. Without doing so, one cannot occupy the satanic world. The Teacher too went to North Korea and came back, did he not? “Yes.” It is not that I went and came back only once. Since I went and came back, you too must go and come back. Since I was struck by Communist Party members and shed blood, you too must be struck and shed blood.
The Teacher is a person who received adversity from three nations. He is a person who was persecuted even by the Soviet communist party. Needless to say, the Kim Il Sung band of North Korea, but I was persecuted by the nation of Japan too and persecuted by the Republic of Korea too. Speaking in terms of nations, I had to pass through a road of suffering, crossing back and forth among four nations. In the Republic of Korea, I had to pass through a road of suffering under three administrations. Among the countless denominations, I had to receive suffering from more than three great denominations. Tens of millions are mobilized there. Well over thirty million are mobilized. Without passing through such trials and pain, one cannot carry out Restoration through Indemnity.
When I tell such stories, your eyes grow round, and you blink. There has been no one until now who has come through a road like the Teacher’s. When have you stayed up through the night, and gone hungry, and been anxious for the Will?
Have you pledged that you would go for the Will even at the cost of losing your life? That you have not done so is blasphemy against God. It is blasphemy against the forebears. It is blasphemy against the Teacher. It is an act of betrayal. What is the Fall? Is it not building a nest to live in, centering on oneself?
Whatever man, whatever woman you meet, however much pain or trial there be, you must first hold absolute conviction concerning True Parents. You must hold absolute conviction. You must hold a conviction that can say, “My mind toward True Parents cannot change, however anything tempts me. Even though I lose my life ten times over, I cannot deny this.” That is the problem. If this has not been done, one must repent. Do you understand what I mean? “Yes.” It means holding absolute conviction.
The Posture of Those Betrothed
The Teacher has fought while passing through a course of every trial, offering up his lifetime. He has fought holding a heart (심정) that seeks to overcome that, that single-hearted devotion. He has come forth centering on the holy original Will while looking up at that moment of crossing the peak. I have come forth cherishing a mind that can be grateful even though I fall ten million times by the enemy’s blade. Without deviating from the principle I wish for, centering on absolute Parents, I formed a bond of brothers centering on the blood ties of True Parents.
No one can invade that. If asked, “Who are your brothers?” one must be able to say, “It is so-and-so and so-and-so.” Furthermore, if asked, “Who are your sons and daughters?” one must be able to say, “It is so-and-so and so-and-so.” Only then can one restore. It means the Teacher did such work.
Jesus died in the midst of doing that work. You who are here are now in a position better than Jesus. Is that not so? You are receiving the privileged grace of attending the Parents. So you must become filial sons. Among brothers, one must become a filial son more than anyone. Do not become a prodigal son but become a filial son. Centering on the Parents, one must become a filial son. Do not become a prodigal son but become true sons and daughters in the true sense.
And thus, one must become a model for the brothers. One must become a representative who bears all the crosses of the brothers alone and writhes to teach them so that they can be filial before the Father. It means that you gathered here must become so. You are muddled and only blink your eyes and seek to live comfortably, are you not? Such people are bands of falsehood. They are a clan of the enemy. You too, reflect upon yourselves, and if you feel a pricking of conscience about it, repent. Do you eat? One must repent while fasting. Do you understand? “Yes.”
That is blasphemy against God, and blasphemy against the ancestors, and blasphemy against the Parents. It is blasphemy against three worlds. It means it is blasphemy against the angelic world and Adam’s world and the original world, that is, the world of the original home. Such a one has no road to being forgiven.
But the Teacher gathered such bands and betrothed them. I am facing you while feeling the grief of a parent who has poor children. And yet you do not think of such a thing even in a dream.
That is why you must hold a single conviction. You must hold a conviction that says you will become a filial son and a loyal subject who does not change before True Parents even though you receive grief. Do you understand? “Yes.” That indeed is what is important.
If you have not held such a conviction until now, you must repent. If you have come out here with a body not equipped, you need a single-minded thought of feeling shame and conducting yourself with restraint while hoping for Heaven’s sympathy and compassion. When we set ourselves out, there is no room to say this and that.
The Blessing is thus tremendous. The Teacher too was caught in this and has fought through his whole lifetime. In doing so, I lost all my flowering youth. Until now, past fifty and looking toward sixty, until now when my hair flies white, I am doing this work. It is appalling, is it not?
Because everything would perish if there were no Teacher, I do this work to bring to a close my responsibility as a parent who must lead along the bands that remain from the first seven-year course. That is why I gathered you too. That is why you must hold a conviction that says you will certainly go even though your bones melt.
One must resolve anew, saying, “I am a person who belongs here. Through this law and principle I go toward that nation as a worker for the founding of that nation. It is I myself today who must, by Heaven’s command and order, set up the duty before the countless forebears and before God, volunteering even for the road of death like a loyal subject.” And so this work must begin.
The Hope After Receiving the Blessing
Then what becomes of one after receiving the Blessing?
The world you must go to is the world the Teacher must go to. The nation a father must go to is the nation the children must go to, is it not? “Yes.” Likewise, the glory a father will enjoy is the glory the children will enjoy.
Then how much have you, until now, researched what the Teacher is doing?
Have you ever waited for the Sunghwa paper to come and, when the Sunghwa paper flew in, stayed up through the night reading it because you wanted to know what matters there were with the Teacher and what matters there were in the Teacher’s family? When the Sunghwa paper comes, how many pages do you read? Though you may have read only trivial books bound to the satanic world and done all sorts of trivial research, the question is how much you have indeed researched about the Teacher. You will have no confidence.
True Parents transcend history. If we ask what those words mean, it means that until now history has come forth wishing for True Parents. Do you understand? “Yes.” History until now has come forth gazing upon the days ahead. That means hope lies in the future. But the hope of the Unification Church lies not in the future but in the past. Do you understand? “Yes.”
The past here transcends the historical past of the world and represents reality. It is the fruit of the past, the center of the present, the starting point of the departure of the future. It is a center that integrates the whole. That is why it transcends history.
People of the present, and people who will come a thousand years hence, and people who will come a thousand years after that, go gazing upon that wish of a thousand years before. That is why it transcends history. An ideology by which one can attain that substance within the sphere of living from a position transcending space and time is an ideology that can unify the world.
Your hope does not lie elsewhere. It does not lie in the Republic of Korea. That which is in the Republic of Korea is for attending Parents who can become the center of the Republic of Korea.
Finding the world too is for attending Parents who can become the center of the world. It is because otherwise the duty of loyalty of the world is not settled that one must inevitably, as a matter of destiny, go this road. It means one must pioneer this road.
One who has completely attained such a tremendous fact through experience and completely grafts himself onto those Parents is the greatest victor in the history of humankind. For such a person there will be nothing that does not get through even to the ends of the heavenly kingdom, and nothing that does not get through even to the ends of the earth. Because the One who comes holding such absolute authority of value is True Parents, history has until now prepared, centering on that age, to welcome that One.
In the Completed Testament Age One Is Saved by Attending
When you pray, you say, “We who are the fruit of six thousand years of history”; but how are you the fruit of six thousand years?
You are only children before the Parents. It is because you are in the position of children who can pass through the bond of True Parents that you are called the historic fruit, the historic harvest, and the origin of the departure of the future.
That is why your hope lies not in the future but in True Parents. On the day you become completely one with those True Parents, the world too becomes one. It is a matter of time.
When you become completely one with True Parents, the nation too exists, and the clan too exists, and the people too exist, and the family too exists. The substantial standard that synthesizes all the values of the glory of heaven and earth is True Parents. Would you exchange True Parents for the money of the world?
Can you exchange them for your life?
That is why it differs from the old days. Wherever you go, you must come seeking the Republic of Korea to attend True Parents. Your sons and daughters too, and the descendants of a thousand and ten thousand generations, must do so. That is why the Unification Church differs.
The core and center that can determine the standard of value of the countless existing things moving in heaven and earth are True Parents. It means the factor that can determine the value of hope of all existence is True Parents. Therefore, God is always together with them. It is because God is such a One. It means that God is the cause of the Principle that pursues a historic harvest and the center of the age and the owner of the future. Therefore, True Parents are the central headquarters where God can be present.
All of you, even sincerity cannot be thought of without passing through True Parents. Even though one goes out to a district and fights for the nation and becomes a district leader and is loyal, it will not do unless one centers on True Parents. Everything must pass through the bond of True Parents. Only by toiling and making effort through the bond of True Parents and gathering the harvest is it harvested as Heaven’s own. Otherwise, it cannot be harvested as Heaven’s own.
That is why in the Completed Testament Age one is saved by attending. Before longing for this world, you must first long for the Parents. That is the duty of a child. Does a person who longs first for his bride qualify for a child? Isn't a child one who grows up in the bosom of the parents and grows up saying the parents are the best? This is the principle.
Hereafter, even though one receives the Blessing, the bond with the partner must be formed afterward. One must first long for the Parents. One must be able to feel, night and day, as though without the Parents there is no world and no value of one’s own existence. A heart (심정) of longing and a heart of admiration toward the Parents must occupy the whole of your living. Only then can one be called a son or daughter of Heaven.
Only after passing through such a process of living can one at last welcome a partner, that is, a wife if a wife, or a husband if a husband. Without even doing that, how can one welcome a husband and welcome a wife?
First, one must long for the Parents from one’s heart. Without attending to the Parents, centering on a standard that says the motive of my life too is the Parents, and the whole of my hope too is the Parents, and the source of all my ideals and happiness too is the Parents, one cannot be saved. All of you, have you attended so? Fakes indeed. You must clearly know this.
Inheritance Within the New Sphere of the Blessing
That is why you must firmly hold, to the degree of transcending your consciousness of existence, the conviction that says, “I am a son, or a daughter, who can be eternally one with True Parents.” Otherwise, it will not do.
Before I meet a woman, or before I meet a man, I must prepare, saying that I will, even for every single moment, pour out the whole of my heart (심정) and go having found and established a standard in accord with the Parents’ opinion. That period begins from now. After firmly establishing that standard, let us find out what the standard of a partner is. Do you understand? “Yes.” You must promise this with the Teacher. Will you do so or not? “We will do so.” Those who say they will do so, raise your hands. Put them down. That is precisely the problem.
That is why, after receiving the Blessing, you cannot do as you please. Do you understand? “Yes.”
If you are told to go abroad, you must pack your bundle and go. Even so, it is not that the Teacher does this seeking to use you. It is to make you receive blessings.
The wider your stage of activity becomes, the more you receive the Blessing to that degree. One gives more blessings to a person who has toiled two days than to a person who has toiled one day. One gives more blessings to a person who has toiled twenty years than to a person who has toiled ten years.
The more one loves a person, the more one seeks to make him suffer hardship.
That you are made to receive the Blessing is because you have entered within God’s sphere of love. It is because you have entered within that sphere of love that you are made to suffer hardship. Is it all right even if you are made to suffer hardship? “Yes.” Do not think of being loved.
Now, within the new sphere of the Blessing, inheritance unfolds. Here the law differs. You must clearly know this.
