Centering on all that took place in Las Vegas, we have arrived at the terminal point of the providential age.
Now, even without a teacher, you can, centering on the autobiography and the textbook and instructional materials, take the place of the word.
Even though you cannot attend to the Teacher's substantial being, unless in attending to the word you reach beyond the level of attending to his substance, you cannot keep step with the unknown spirit world. You must come into alignment with that standard.
For a Unified World, There Must Be Harmony and Unification
Until now, Christianity has opposed us, but the question now is what to do, centering on Christianity, which stands at the center of the interreligious sphere.
The word Gidok (Christ) is composed of the characters gi (基, foundation) and dok (督, to oversee).
The character dok is composed of suk (叔) with mok (目, eye) beneath it, and the character gyo (敎) is composed of the radical hyo (孝, filial piety) joined with bu (攵, father).
For a unified world, there must be harmony and unification. It is harmony and unification, not unification and harmony. North and South must harmonize, and there must be a traditional thought by which they can love one another more than parents love their sons and daughters.
Unless this is established among the patriots of North Korea and South Korea, we cannot become the ancestral nation that establishes God's unified world.
Korea is the nation that attends God. Say, “Hananim!” “Hananim!”
Although there are many peoples in this world, there are no people but the Korean people whose thoughts attend God as King of kings, Lord of lords, and the one and only Lord of Heaven and earth. They were the Dongi people who were skilled with the bow; the character i (夷) is composed of dae (大, great) and gung (弓, bow). If you look at the history of the Korean people, all of this comes forth.
China, to make itself the center, has tried by every means to obstruct the traditional thought of the Dongi people, who were skilled with the bow, the thought of Goguryeo. But the sages and kings of China were of the Han people. I am saying that China's Qin Shi Huang and Confucius were of the Han people. So it is in the tradition of Confucianism.
It was said, “Won-hyeong-i-jeong (元亨利貞, origin-prosperity-benefit-constancy) are the constant Way of Heaven (天道之常); in-ui-ye-ji (仁義禮智, benevolence-righteousness-propriety-wisdom) are the principal threads of human nature (人性之綱),” but there was no one who could interpret these. It is only now, when the teacher's age has come, that they have all been unraveled.
Where must the teacher go to unravel all this and everything else?
It is the bottom of the sea. Sweden and Norway were the bases of the pirates. In the snow-covered arctic regions, for human beings to eat and live, they had to pluck and eat seaweed, and along the seashore catch and eat the rabbit, the fox, the raccoon dog, the badger, the otter, and the fish.
If we become a people that can digest such a history, we can become the people of the nation that attends God.
The eyes of a person symbolize God, and the nose symbolizes Adam and Eve. The nose stands out prominently. The mouth is horizontal. Sixteen and sixteen combined make thirty-two teeth. The ears are connected, centering on the four directions. The features above the neck are the same as the model of the cosmos.
In accord with this, what is seen must be good, what is smelled must be good, what is eaten must be good, and what is touched must be good as well.
Why must it be good in this way?
Centering on God, whom we attend as our Lord, what is the swiftest means of knowing? With the eyes, you cannot see God; with the nose, you cannot smell the scent of God. Nor can you touch Him with the hand. Say, “Gwi (귀, ear)!” “Gwi!” Is the word gwi a bad word or a good word? “It is a good word.” [Gwi (귀) is homophonous with gwi (貴), meaning precious.] What of the eye (눈)? On the top of Mt. Baekdu, snow (눈) lies piled year-round.
On Mt. Geumgang there is the Manmulsang [Rock of Ten Thousand Forms]; what kind of stone is it that forms the Manmulsang?
It is not a sedimentary rock. It is granite (화강암, 花崗巖). Say, “Hwa-gang-am!” “Hwa-gang-am!” What kind of hwa character is it? “It is hwa (花, flower).” Is the gang character gang (姜) or gang (崗, ridge)? The bedrock that can appear at the mountaintop, the rock upon which one can climb and stand at the very last, the rock at the very pinnacle — that is granite. It is shaped like a flower.
Centering on Birobong, at its summit, there is a fine stone for animals to sit upon. Sitting there, they gaze upon all the mountains and streams. Ants and insects, birds and beasts — when the sun rises, all at once they are unified and gaze upon the sunlight.
A Person With an X in His Conscience
Do you love the sun?
When we say “hae,” it can refer to harm, and it can refer to the sun. They are fallen human beings who consume the air, the free energy, without knowing that they ought to pay money to buy it. They are a band that flees without paying its taxes. They do not know how to pay tax on the water they have drunk, tax on the air they have breathed, or tax on having lived by receiving the sunlight.
Moreover, they are human beings who squeeze out the sap of every plant, and if they do not know how to pay taxes, they go to hell. There is public money.
There is Gongju. The center of Chungcheong-do is Gongju. The people of Chungcheong-do are yangban [nobility]. All these historical facts are not things of the past. The history that President Moon has lived does not pass away either.
Centering on our village, the names of the mountains, streams, plants, and trees around it were given as words suited to the terrain. Therefore, one who does not know the Korean language cannot perceive the ideal world that God created from the beginning.
Recite: Ga, na, da, ra, ma, ba, sa, a, ja, cha, ka, ta, pa, ha! “Ga, na, da, ra, ma, ba, sa, a, ja, cha, ka, ta, pa, ha!” How many letters are ga, gya, geo, gyeo, go, gyo, gu, gyu, geu, gi? In total, twenty-four letters.
The Western A, B, C, D are twenty-six. If a maiden of sixteen years does not give birth to a son or daughter and raise them within ten years, she cannot fulfill the role of a woman.
People of Jeolla-do have come, and people of Gyeongsang-do have come too! Those who live there also need mountains and streams, need scenery, and sunlight.
What is the motto for this year?
“It is 'Cham Sarang Cheonju Anshik Gwon — Cheong Shim Il, Man Seung Il, Mansei (참사랑천주안식권 청심일만승일만세, the Cosmic Sabbath Realm of True Love — the Day of the Pure Heart, the Day of the Ten Thousand Victories, Mansei).'”
What does it mean?
Cheong Shim Il (淸心一)! The air is clear, and the water is clear. Man Seung Il (萬勝一)! It is only the Dongi people, skilled with the bow, who catch and eat tigers, wolves, and lions, who catch and eat venomous snakes and [?: 스쿠리] snakes and enjoy the taste.
The teacher, from a young age, received much education from the spirit world. It is only that I have not spoken of it. Even now, when I am about to speak words like riddles to you, like a madman, I readily speak things that cannot be imagined even in a dream.
In the verses Teacher recited in his boyhood, there lies a storehouse of treasures over which men of eighty might savor and bow in admiration.
This grandmother is of the Park clan; the character bak (朴) is composed of the namu (木, tree) radical and bok (卜, divination). It was a wish that the tree might endure forever.
A tree has shoots, branches, and roots, but it is set the opposite way from heaven. The roots have gone into the earth, while the branches and shoots are in the air. It is upside down.
Among you, anyone in whose conscience there stands an X (⨉) is not a person of Heaven. The eyes are also two, the nose is also two, and the ears are also two. Unless that which through the fallen lineage has become two kinds is made into one, you become a servant of the world of X.
To say “Won-hyeong-i-jeong (元亨利貞) are the constant Way of Heaven (天道之常)…” is the principle of natural order. Cheondojisang is the path Heaven always walks. In it, there is no X.
The saying “In-ui-ye-ji (仁義禮智) are the principal threads of human nature (人性之綱)” — centering on benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom—does it pair with the affection between father and son or with the distinction between husband and wife?
In the distinction between husband and wife, there is no concept of love.
Hunminjeongeum
Yes — Teacher is a good person but is also fearsome. Good he is, but when one comes before him, the head will not lift. So it is with famous doctors of learning.
They have gone abroad and become doctors, but before President Moon, it turned out this way.
President Moon has the bold resolve to be able to say, “You wretch unworthy even to be my disciple — bow down to me!” — yet he does not even speak of bowing but receives them with gentleness and humility.
Despite this, they kneel and grasp the trouser-leg of President Moon, wishing to touch his feet, wishing to touch his calves, wishing even to touch his face, wishing to touch his whole body. No words are needed — it is simply good.
Even without being educated, they find it good. One who is not so cannot become a member of the Unification Church.
Do the right eye and the left eye fight as Cain and Abel?
Answer! “They do not.” They stand in correspondence, harmony, and unification; there is no concept of correspondence and opposition. Whenever anything moves, there is a counteraction; how, then, do you hold the theory by which that counteraction can be absorbed as a corresponding action?
You must absorb the negative theory into a positive theory and arrive at the same position as that which God thinks. Only thus do you become a single body that has inherited the lineage of God, sons and daughters resembling Father and Mother.
You have not come to resemble your father or your mother. You have come to resemble President Moon. From childhood, I taught you all this. What is Hunminjeongeum? What does it mean? To live in the world, one must become a citizen of a nation. Even if one is the son or daughter of one's father and mother, if there is a nation, one must become a citizen of that nation. To teach centering on the right words — that is, Hunminjeongeum.
For a citizen to live with dignity, he must know how to hear the right voice by which, since before creation, the formless God could commune with His sons and daughters.
One who cannot hear the commands of the spirit world will find Hunminjeongeum difficult to understand. Everything must be planted upside down, beginning from the head.
For this reason, no one who enters the Unification Church lasts three years and six months. They flee within three years. President Moon knew such fundamental matters without having been taught. I would say, “Someone is coming from ten li away.
If that fellow comes, this village will suffer; go and stand guard!”
Seen through the lens of the Unification Church's Principle, there is no upright person among your mothers and fathers. I am saying — do not let yourselves be used by such people. I was raised with such an education. When crossing a river: “Listen — you must step out with the right foot first to cross over; you must not step out with the left foot first.” When climbing a tree, you must begin climbing from where the sunlight strikes; if you begin from the shaded side, the snake will bite you. In the shade, the vipers lie in wait.
So once you climb, you must follow the one who has climbed up. President Moon is the one who, having received such education, knows how to discern so that front and back, left and right, do not collide. Do you understand? “Yes.”
February 14 is the first day of the lunar new year. There is a difference of six days from the teacher's birthday. Last year, when Mother and I played a game with a ball (the game of harmony and unification), the difference was six points. That is why I said all things must be decided within six days.
The Shepherd of the Unification Church Members Is One
If you go to Las Vegas, you can know this clearly. There all the secrets of Heaven and earth lie. The name of the palace in Las Vegas is Cheonhwa Gung — and that name too was given by Teacher, not by any of you.
The law by which one may enter and dwell in Cheonhwa Gung is the original text capable of becoming the constitution of the Heavenly Kingdom; do you know how to keep it, or not? What is to be done with one who does not know it?
When at the hospital, they operate on a person — cutting off the toes, then the shin, then the leg, on up to the hip — he dies.
What happens when one contracts diabetes?
The feet go through two and three stages, and the toes must be cut off first. When I speak of such things, knowing nothing, they regard it as a flat-out lie. To take such people and to make what has turned bright red turn white again is impossible.
Is the evening glow red, or is the morning sunlight red?
The morning sunlight is white and bright. The evening sunlight has gold and white light blended. Don't they speak of a “pink skirt” or something? Do you know the song of the Little Angels? Their school song is a song that is truly well composed.
It is the Three Bonds and Five Relations (삼강오륜). It is said that the affection between father and son and the distinction between husband and wife are what are these?
How are husband and wife distinguished?
What would it mean to say affection between father and son?
Friends are not of mingled blood. The words comrade and companion describe relations of equality — there is no relation of high and low. The Three Bonds and Five Relations of the Way of Confucius and Mencius — what are the Three Bonds, and what are the Five Relations? They speak of them but cannot explain them. I am the only one who can explain.
Which is taller — the eye, the nose, or the mouth?
Why is there hair growing above the eyes? There are eyebrows, are there not? Why have the eyebrows grown? It is already understood. When sweat flows down, it must be blocked. Because it was known that there was dust in the air, here there are salnunseop (속눈썹, eyelashes). Why does one blink? When the wind blows, dust invisible to the eye, attempting to enter the eye, is caught here. Eye-crust comes out of here, does it not? From the nose comes nose-crust.
If I go on with such talk, today's Hoon Dok Hae will run on for a long time. You say, “Why is President Moon doing this at the time of Hoon Dok Hae?” Whether sweet, sour, or salty — if you sort the salty for salty, and the sweet for sweet, that is fine; but if one is told to eat something like omija, he does not know what taste it is. Even after seventy years, he does not know its taste.
Anyone who casually says, “It is so,” and lives by what he has heard by rumor — those are the people who say that Unification Church President Moon is the worst.
What have I done wrong?
My ninetieth birthday approaches, and before then, I have completed every textbook and instructional material that God can teach. It is all here. Whatever it may be, come and try to find anything that is missing.
Even the exegesis of the I Ching must be learned from me. Even Mr. Lee Jeong-ho of Ewha University, the chief disciple of Master Kim Il-bu, learned from me and bowed in reverence.
What is the name of the town where our palace was built?
It is Seorak. On Mt. Seorak, there are the Outer Seorak and the Inner Seorak — it is the same. The teacher's hometown is Jeongju, and Jeongju means “the fixed county.” It is called Jeongju-gun, and gun (群) refers to a flock — the flock of sheep that live together. Sheep do not live alone. Even if there are thousands of sheep, when the shepherd whistles “hwiek,” they all follow.
The shepherd of Unification Church members is one person, not two. True Parents, the true Lord and the wife of the true Lord, are not two either. And as for the existence called King of kings within the religious sphere, He too is not two persons. Jesus has not gone to Heaven; he is in Paradise.
Why is he in Paradise?
Even when pastors are mounted upon and threatened with death, they cannot answer concerning the secrets of those ancestors. I must unravel it. So they must bow down so deeply that the navel of their belly touches the ground.
If anyone bows down for as long as twelve hours, will he wet himself or not?
He will even soil himself. Is God one who is pleased to see one defecate and urinate in this way? The feces can be gathered and made into fertilizer; the urine, too, can be gathered and made into fertilizer. As for the best fertilizer for corn, it is dried feces powder. Do you know that? I made dried feces powder with my own hands and raised corn with it. How well it grew, you cannot imagine.
All Existing Things Are For My Sake
Do you know this? Among the grains we harvest every autumn, what is the one in which this and that look alike? It is buckwheat (memil). And what is called mil (wheat)? Both barley and mil and that is also called mil. In Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do, barley does not grow. Barley grows well in cold regions. In the southern part of Chungcheong-do, it does not grow.
What kind of drink is Maccol? Barley water. The people of Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do dislike it. Jeolla-do is in the south, so one might expect it to be cool — but it is hot. When it enters the mouth, it is lukewarm, so they dislike it.
When mother and father, in the midst of love, are unable to breathe in or out — that is no good. They may die from it. That is why women of old carried a jangdo dagger or a needle. In such a case, you must pierce here and draw out the blood. Our ancestors knew this.
In the world of Oriental medicine, the masters who excel at acupuncture are Koreans. A teacher is one such master. It is only that I do not speak of it. I know how to treat my own body. People bring medicine, but I dislike the bundles of medicine. Even when I say to take the medicine away, the packets only multiply.
Without taking them, one does not die. If you took them all, you would surely die. I do not live trusting in medicine. I live trusting in God.
If one says one is going to seek the love of God, why does one want to delight in a false husband, false children, and a false mother? Do not fight to be embraced in such a bosom and receive love in that bosom — turn entirely around. As I see it, it is all wrong. Even my grandfather and grandmother feared me. When their eight-year-old grandson called, “Grandfather!”, he would answer, “Why, sir?” — not “What is it?” He did not say, “Yong-myeong, what is it? You little grandson, what is it?”
Shall we hold Hoon Dok Hae today, or not? Christians despised me and thought that I, the center, would vanish — but I have not. Christianity must be raised again upon the principle of natural order. When I hear words I spoke fifty years ago, it was not I who spoke them. Even now, I hear those words and am astonished. I say, “Ah, how could I have spoken such words?”
When, having traversed the process from the beginning of history to the terminal point, I look back, the sun is for my sake, the water too is for my sake, and the air too is for my sake.
All existing things, for my sake — to assist the primal elements of my cells — are gathered toward me and set to be unified. Such are the elements. There is nothing to be left out.
Since everything has come into being upon the foundation of Absolute Faith, Absolute Love, and Absolute Obedience, I look upon all things as more precious than myself.
All of this is contained in this book. I am saying that all the secrets you do not know are contained in it. It is all in this book.
How can you so carelessly handle such a precious thing?
There can be no Unification Church member who sleeps embracing magazines or other books while leaving this on the bookshelf for forty years without opening it.
Therefore, Christianity must be taught once more. You have made it so that all I have taught cannot be heard, and although I said to evangelize your fathers and mothers, you have not done it, so there is no choice but for you to do it. I must now go and bring order to the spirit world and drive that world down to the earth.
Those who have gone to the spirit world before me, the descendants of the Fall, are beneath me; they cannot stand above me.
Knowing this, today's Hoon Dok Hae must keep the law of the Three Object Purpose and the three-stage principle, and we are searching for an explanation of these principles.
Let us begin the Hoon Dok reading. Listen well. It may be the last. Wherever I may go, if you try to come seeking me out, I may drive you away before you arrive.
We Must Become Clear Air, Clear Water, Clear Light
Without educating, night and day, forgetting food and forgetting sleep and forgetting that you might die, based on God's textbook and instructional materials, no sons and daughters of God, no princes and princesses of God who can be led into the Heavenly Kingdom, will come into being. Know this clearly.
What shall we feed more than 10,000 Japanese women whom we have brought to Korea to live?
We cannot put them to death. For their sake, I have shed tears and lost sleep at night. Even after going to Las Vegas, I devoted my devotion and carried out an enlightenment movement centering on the 17th-generation descendant of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Now her husband, too, has steeled himself. That couple holds the traditional thought of the Pilgrim Fathers.
The 17th-generation descendant of Tokugawa Ieyasu came to Las Vegas in the position of a royal princess and lived there, wielding power. I told her, “You must not act this way toward me.” I know well the managers of the Encore Hotel, the Wynn Hotel, and CityCenter. I know spiritually what kind of people they are. Just try not to listen to my words.
Looking upon the morning sunlight as it shines and the evening sunlight as it shines, I said the sun too must learn from me. The air must learn from me, the water must learn from me. To teach what God has not taught, I muttered to myself before the water and muttered to myself before the air. We must become clear air, clear water, and clear light.
Among the fishes, there is myeongtae (pollack), written with the character myeong (明, bright). And what comes next? What fish are being well caught these days by fishing? You all don't know! It is squid — what kind of squid?
It is a squid with a bone — it is a medicinal ingredient. “It is cuttlefish.” That is something one can eat and enjoy in cold weather, in hot weather, in cool weather, in warm weather, in any season.
The Korean people are the ones who eat the most of it. Do you know that? The Japanese people cannot compare with the Koreans.
If you chew squid for a long time, it gives a sweet taste! It has a taste like omija. If I tell stories like these, much time goes by. From what places have these people come? “Elders, kin, agency heads, regional kings, then members of the headquarters church, and the district leaders of the metropolitan area.”
Heo-yang, come forward and sing one song first! We must conclude. To forget while passing a pleasant time, it is Ulsan Arirang. Not Ulsan Arirang, but Useulsan Arirang (Laughing Mountain Arirang). Listen well. (Heo-yang sings Ulsan Arirang.) (Applause)
The question is where we will meet. There is nowhere but here. The Korean people have held to the integrity of attending God, even forsaking the Inner and Outer Seorak of Mt. Seorak, forsaking the Buddhist temples, forsaking the training halls, and forsaking religion.
The seed planted in the bosom of God, which did not sprout, which did not put forth even a shoot, has not died; when the day comes that it can sprout again to greet the spring in the age of President Moon, all the world meets spring again.
It is the husband of Hun Mo Nim who is renewed spring. Whenever I visit there, tears come before me. When I stand on the stones around, on the stones laid down with devotion, my feet will not leave.
Where have the tears that Hun Mo Nim and her husband shed with devotion gone?
I, representing the past ancestors, the present ancestors, and the future ancestors — representing the three ages — must be able to recover what was lost, protect it, and have it entered into the household register of God's nation.
This is to set up the nation of God of restored homeland, and the homeland, and the nation of the 6.5 billion of humanity, and the original native land, but what has become of the figure of True Parents?
Dying a hundred times, a thousand times, is no problem. This time in Las Vegas, I made the final declaration and unraveled what no one in the world knows.
We Must Make a New Resolve
Now, let us hold Hoon Dok Hae. The thirteen leading religious bodies of the world have said that President Moon is one greater than the religious head whom they can attend. I am the one who visited those religious bodies and educated the people there. My condition is like this, and I sit here forlornly, but I am not a forlorn man. Do you understand? “Yes.”
An Jung-guk, who was the father of An Chang-seong, sold his own house when I had no money, and Bo Hi Pak sold his house. Heaven does not forsake them.
What is Park No-hee doing these days?
“He is at the Interdenominational Christian Council.” Sing one Japanese song. When you sang, I was moved. Sing it once.
Following that example, you must live with a dignified figure that is unashamed on the front lines of mission work. Now, sing. (Cheering Song of the Will)
That is not someone else's song; it is my song. You must be grateful that you can sing my song. Even after hearing it a thousand times, the wave of hope that allows me to sit alone muttering and to sing it more than ten thousand times — that is what moves me. In this sense, let us hold Hoon Dok Hae this morning.
In Christianity, now dead and abandoned, there is no hope. Who believes in religion? But if Hoon Dok is begun again, things must come back to life. Everything comes back to life.
Your mother and father drove you out of your hometown; with a wound on your chest, with the navel-cord pulled, with the hairs of your head being buried in the ground, even after offering such devotion, you must say, “I must go yet again.”
You must give such devotion that the very marrow of your bones runs dry. Was it not the history of the Unification warriors and the tradition of the household, to know that one is such a sinner and yet still to set out?
President Moon has walked this path until now. He is on his way back from Las Vegas, having testified to what the final core destination (핵심 종착지) is.
So this morning is a time of joy beyond imagining. We must give thanks for the labors of Heaven and the labors of the angelic world that have made it possible to reach this day, and we must declare a vow to fulfill our responsible task.
And we must say that in this lifetime we will resolve the han of the Israelite people of Jesus' day who failed to attend to him. Then, saying we will become the princes and princesses who can enter and attend the ideal royal palace of the liberation of True Parents, the victorious princes and princesses chosen by God, we must become those who can give thanks.
Whatever we look upon — water, anything — we must grasp it and give thanks with tears, promising to go together to the Heaven I am entering and there to attend God. Such a calling, such a destined task of life, awaits you.
Knowing this, raising our vigilance once again, foretelling the day when we may leap up hundreds of levels to a higher dimension, I ask you to begin the Hoon Dok Hae. Aju! “Aju!” Welcome it with applause. (Applause) Listen well. The han that Jesus could not resolve on this earth, the Parents now attending God of the spirit world, are about to come to the earth to resolve, and you must make a new resolve to participate in this.
With a heart that prays that you may become the masters of a fragrant spring garden that can bloom upon resolutions doubled, trebled, made a thousand and ten thousand times, I ask you to begin the Hoon Dok Hae. Welcome it with applause. (Applause)
Hoon Dok Reading of “Let Us Cross Over the Pass of Historic Misfortune”
We have passed Volumes 1 and 2; we are at Volume 3. “Today's Hoon Dok Hae is from page 278 of Volume 3 of Father's collected speeches.” So the very final scene of the age of the returning Lord appears.
The importance of the Three Object Purpose and the Three Position Foundation comes forth. “These words, entitled 'Let Us Cross Over the Pass of Historic Misfortune,' were given on January 19, 1958.” It is 1958. We began in 1957, but it is 1958. The second one.
How did Teacher, a young man in his thirties, know and proclaim the core of his thought? I have come back, having settled that work before the final curtain. Do you understand? In this sense, I ask you to listen well. (Beginning the Hoon Dok reading of “Let Us Cross Over the Pass of Historic Misfortune” from Volume 3 of The Collected Speeches of Reverend Sun Myung Moon; …Although we can stand before You, the Father, bearing all our sinful state, behold the figures who bow down, beholding the grace of restoration by which You have, fighting for 6,000 years, piled up an altar of blood — please accept us!)
When I prayed beneath the zelkova tree on the sandy shore at Heukseok-dong, I felt the sorrowful heart of one living far from home. So it was as I gazed upon the schoolyard of the high school in Pyongyang; so it was centering on Eulmildae and Moranbong and centering on Daebosan 80 li away when I would go to that place — Teacher held to the wall and wept.
The times I clung to the pine tree and to the rock and wept were not one or two. The “Aegukga” (our patriotic song, Holy Song No. 3) was composed in the midst of all that. When I sing it, Teacher's marrow rings out.
Clinging to one pine tree, even when the thorns pierced me and left wounds, I wept and said, “Jesus, unable to stop the blood of death, departed; but I, though I shed blood ten million times, will go with thanksgiving.” Then, within not a single day, what happened? I scratched here because it itched, and a hollow appeared. The 0.5 millimeter hollow should have bled, but no blood came; it only turned red. So I dabbed it with saliva and rubbed and rubbed, and within three days it was all gone.
Here too I scratched, and it disappeared. When my body itched, I scratched. There were two here and five here, and they have all gone. On this side, since the right hand was attended upon, they remain just as they were. They are just as they were. When it itched, the left hand scratched, and the ink drained out and flowed away. Even this is disappearing.
The man sacrificed for the woman, but now the woman must serve the man. The woman must scratch so that there is no blemish. Mother did not know this. Coming in this time, I have finished everything; on the airplane, I carried through the work of restoration through indemnity. It will all come out — here, in the photos. The teacher's words of request will come out. Do not do it then; do it now, from today, while you are here giving congratulations.
I have come to Korea, and the Korean people are a people who know only God. Body and mind ought to become one with God, but they have not crossed the boundary line where the blood of Satan must die away and be replaced (기리카에, 切り替え, switching over) with the blood of Heaven. I am on the way back, having proclaimed that work and having prepared the environment for it.
Ah, within these two weeks, every imaginable thing has taken place. Heaven moves for the sake of President Moon! What path is there that I cannot walk, and what work is there that I cannot do?
If you cannot, what about China? What about the Soviet Union?
I am thinking of the day when I can command even the KGB. I am saying — when I go to the headquarters of the CIA and give my instructions centering on three generations of George W. Bush, I will surely gather the fruit of Absolute Faith, Absolute Love, and Absolute Obedience. I am walking that path.
The Last Pass
When I was thirteen, fourteen years old, I went seeking out the homeland of my forebears in Jeolla-do. At that time, I went from Jeolla-namdo up through Jeolla-bukdo, Gyeongsang-namdo, Gyeongsang-bukdo, Gangwon-do, Hwanghae-do, and Pyongan-do, and at last finished in Hamgyeong-do.
The eight provinces and rivers number thirteen provinces; recite the thirteen provinces once. From where would you begin? Begin with Jeolla-namdo, or with Jeolla-bukdo, or with Hamgyeong-bukdo, or with Pyongan-bukdo?
Pyongan-bukdo, Pyongan-namdo, Hamgyeong-bukdo, Hamgyeong-namdo, Hwanghae-do, Gangwon-do, Gyeonggi-do, the two Chungcheong-dos, the two Jeolla-dos, and then the two Gyeongsang-dos. That is thirteen.
If you add Jeju-do, it becomes fourteen. Do you know that women menstruate from the age of fourteen? Korean women must reach fourteen, but Western women do it at thirteen. They are one year ahead.
The solar calendar is about 40 days ahead. February 14 is the first day of the lunar new year, and the 19th is Teacher's birthday. Originally, I had intended to begin everything centering on the 19th, but the seven-year course by which the lineage of Cain and Abel was distinguished has fallen short.
So coming back from Las Vegas, I returned spanning January 23 and 24 by the solar calendar in the 10th year of Cheon Il Guk. It is the last pass.
There was a worldwide exhibition held. I had thought 28,000 to 35,000 people would come, but it was reported that more than 70,000 came. There were more than 3,700 organizations. Had I not gone there, it would have entirely passed away. I went and saw and lifted my hands in admiration. For the parents not to observe the foundation laid by the sons and daughters is a sin.
Kook-jin established a firearms company called KAHR. It was when Kook-jin was in high school. He was seventeen or eighteen years old, and his father had set up an arms factory and was making the Vulcan cannon and so on. We were able to make anti-aircraft guns and sell them. The Vulcan cannon fires 6,000 rounds per minute. Anything within a radius of about 10 li is blown away. Because I had studied engineering, I could both design and inspect.
So a rumor went around that the father was a murderer, but there was not a single person whom our father murdered. He never forcibly seized a woman, either. It was the women who pursued our father until he had to flee; our father did not do anything that should have required fleeing.
These children, too, if they do not give a kiss to their grandfather when going to school, cannot study. They are the grandfather's teachers. When they come to greet the grandfather, all sorts of things happen — they cry if they miss out. “You went out before me last time when going to your grandfather, so today I will go out before you.” “Hey, you are the younger one, so stay back!” they say — but the younger is the closer to God.
Among the elder brother's sons and daughters and the last brother Hyung-jin's sons and daughters, the latter come ahead. When asked, “Why is that?” they say, “Because grandfather and grandmother like it when we do this; we do as we have been taught.” Now things have fallen into place. On this first day of the Lunar New Year, either I had to go or one of my three sons had to go.
I did not speak of it, but because I could not breathe, [something] struck centered on the danjeon. The pelvis was about to split open, and had the pelvis split open, I would have gone. To keep the two legs braced and prevent them from splitting, I had to pretend to die — and at that very hour, Hyung-jin was doing the same. He thought that if he could cross one more pass, it would be the last.
When he came and told me, I thought, “Ah, the saying that father and son are one body is true! How can it be so exact?” Mother did not know. I had said nothing and was alone, and when Hyung-jin spoke of it, I thought, “Ah, Heaven is unfailing! The law of indemnity is alive. How grateful, jigo!”
Does not jigo (지고) mean "know it from the most exalted throne?
Since I have come, having overcome even such grave things, the only gift I can give you is books. The textbook and instructional materials, the draft of the constitution of the Heavenly Kingdom.
I have completed the original text and textbook on the education of the Heavenly Kingdom. It was before last year's winter solstice. I returned to Korea on the 22nd and stayed. It was the 19th time I had gone to Las Vegas. By the 19th, I had completed the original text and the textbook. I finished it all, passed through Las Vegas, and came back to Korea.
The Las Vegas “Gun Show”
This time, the teacher has been to Las Vegas for the 20th time. There was a Gun Show during this period. It has been held now for nearly 10 years. It is held every year. I had thought it was a state-level event, but only this time did I learn it was worldwide. I had instructed to hold the conference in Las Vegas, and during that very period, the teacher attended it. I went to the Gun Show on the 19th.
I had thought there were a few hundred, but the participating organizations alone numbered 3,700 to 4,300. As for how many people gathered, close to 60,000 to 70,000 gathered.
So not only every kind of gun but even military weapons were on display. It was astonishing. Kook-jin made a pistol; he designed and machined and made it himself. There was not a single component made in a third-party factory.
Because I, too, had studied engineering, I know how to read designs. When Kook-jin was in the second or third year of high school, he brought a design he had made. He said he had designed it on his own by looking at a magazine. The Las Vegas Gun Show was immense beyond imagining. Because I went there, the people, who had not known who Kook-jin's father was saw the photograph of the father appear.
Because I know that world well, I met with important people and spoke to them and encouraged them. Within two hours, the heads of 3,700 companies knew. “Ah, Kook-jin's father came and went,” and the rumor spread instantly. The world of power, the world of the military, does not know its future direction without me. I must decide it.
This is the morning I have come to Korea after going to Las Vegas for the 20th time. I have finished everything and returned. To report it would require tens of hours, but there is no time for that.
From now on, we must take responsibility even for the education of the intelligence offices of religion, and I have returned, having resolved to prepare such an organization. Do you understand? “Yes.”
I know well the intelligence services of Israel, America, the Second Israel, the Soviet Union, and the new intelligence service of Japan built after its defeat. There is nothing about military installations that I do not know. I have laid down the foundation by which Korea, too, can rise to the cutting edge of military-secret intelligence activity. So we have reached a stage where the CIA and KGB find it difficult to lay their hands on us.
Of the underground missionaries beneath Moscow, only one-third have been exposed. The rest are still underground. We are raising officers—young people—who can become more than 70 percent of the leaders of the Chinese government. And we are carrying on a movement, centering on Archbishop Milingo, to bring the Vatican to renewed conviction. Now the time has come to bring even this to a conclusion.
At this hour, when the whole world has lost its way through economic and political collapse, it is the Unification Church that is presenting the direction. The books made for this purpose are these: Pyeonghwa-ui Juin, Hyeoltong-ui Juin (Owner of Peace, Owner of Lineage), Cheonguk-eul Yeoneun Mun Chamgajeong (True Family: Gateway to Heaven), and Cheon Seong Gyeong. As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen is the autobiography. The distribution of the autobiography to 430 families per clan must be completed by October 14 of this year.
There Must Be No Place Where the Words Are Not Proclaimed Around the Clock
This is World Scripture Volume 2. World Scripture Volume 3, centering on the religious sphere, will be 90 percent the Principle. That too is fully prepared. The encyclopedia is also fully prepared. I have made the Great Russian–language Dictionary and the Great Chinese–language Dictionary as well. The textbooks are all prepared. Everything is now finished. There is nothing left to be touched.
The teacher has read these textbooks hundreds of times, so that even if a single particle changes, I know it at once. You too must memorize them all — every word. Pyeonghwa-ui Juin, Hyeoltong-ui Juin, Cheon Seong Gyeong, the Pledge, and World Scripture. The comprehensive textbook of the 12 years of Cheon Il Guk is contained therein.
There has not been a Sunday on which the teacher has failed to preach. Those sermons have been published in more than 1,300 volumes. This morning, we read the words I spoke before I took Mother as my wife. It was the content of 1958, was it not? The content concerning the organization of the Three Position Foundation came forth.
We have not read all of Volume 3 today; for the rest, I ask you to refer to it. If this volume is not in your library, there is a problem. The ancestors come but cannot cooperate. For that reason, I intend, if possible, to distribute the textbook to the leadership of the 194 nations affiliated with the Abel UN as we conclude the Soccer Olympic Tournament.
The 6.5 billion of humanity and the hundreds of billions in the spirit world will, centering on this textbook, hold Hoon Dok Hae every day at the same hour. They will do it eternally at the same hour, centering on the same theme.
So among the descendants of all generations, there must be no one who does not know this, and only when all can put it into practice will the spirit world and the physical world become one nation. It becomes the Heaven of liberation and release.
Even after the teacher goes to the spirit world, for 20 years — at the latest, until the 63rd year — I will drive that world down to the earth. Then many tragic things will occur in the world. If they do not do as the world directs, the ancestors will take them away.
Just as Satan once seized them and threw them into the pit of hell, so now, when the textbook and instructional materials by which one may go to Heaven have come forth, if they oppose, if they obstruct it, saying they will follow the doctrine of the Christian faith, the ancestors will take them away.
The time comes when no meeting may be held other than those centered on these words. The words must be eternally proclaimed for 24 hours so that there is not a single place where they are not being proclaimed at any hour. However much one dislikes it, one cannot help but do it as it is. The environment is being driven to a point where there is no choice but to put it into practice.
It is not optional whether to listen to the teacher's words. Hoon Dok must be done daily, centering on three generations. From grandfather to grandchild. It is done the same way Shin-joon knows it. Shin-joon is sharp. If the grandfather does not keep the time appointment, he comes in below here and kicks with his foot. Next, he pinches hard. He asks why the appointment was not kept.
Now, when they come in, I must give the greeting. My grandfather and mother feared me, and centering on the grandsons Shin-joon and Shin-deuk, the same has come about. The education in the textbook must be strict. I will fly by helicopter and stop and land wherever I want. I will gather the people there and ask.
I shall oversee whether they have practiced the assigned topics of Hoon Dok or not. If they have not, the head is cut off. From the provincial governors, county magistrates, township heads, and village heads down to the block leaders — heads roll. Such an age is coming. Why would a teacher, having no money, have made such voluminous books? I am not a fool. It cannot be allowed to flow away. It is not to create things that do not exist; it is to recreate what exists and have it brought into alignment with the design.
Education Must Not Be Done Wrong
Indeed, Korea is famous. In the military world, in the intelligence world, no one can match the Koreans. Even on this visit to Las Vegas, there were many Koreans among the important managers. The last time it was difficult to meet them, but this time, wherever I went, Korean people appeared. The last time, they probably did not know it was me. Wearing a hat and glasses, they would not have recognized Reverend Moon.
At places like the Gun Show, there was nothing missing among the goods sold. With Teacher Moon appearing in the midst of all that, what was it like? There are many lunatics, are there not? These days, the autobiography has come out, and those who read it form a wall around me. In one year, in Korea alone, more than 500,000 copies have been sold. If we reach 2 million copies, then beyond that, Kim Young-sa cannot sell more.
Hereafter, centering on our own publisher, the proceeds of selling books for a thousand and ten thousand years will become the property of the household of President Moon. A capital will arise sufficient to buy up the lands of the world and have something left over. (Kim Bu-tae's report on the Gun Show.) Whatever it may be, we must produce the models needed for the world of commerce. The standard of thought is already in place, and the spiritual posture has been trained.
The teacher was also a ssireum wrestler, a soccer player, and was greatly interested in wrestling. There is no sport our children cannot do. What others practice for seven years, they finish within three months. They have great talent. They can clean up the mafia or gangsters within a week. We must raise such a foundation of strength.
Now, whoever requests it of President Moon, anyone can rise to prominence. Such a path is wide open. So from now on, you must not do education wrong, centering on the textbook, instructional materials, and the autobiography. Even the national examinations will vanish.
We are entering the age in which we must make a program of totality, comprehensiveness, full authority, and omnipotence. The CIA of America does not know the way forward. Neither does the KGB. The expectations of President Moon are great.
Lee Dong-han, come out and sing one. Let us put Hoon Dok Hae aside. Even I find Hoon Dok Hae tiresome now. Because I have spoken so much, I find it tiresome. This man is the chief in matters of funerals. He has the records. He enters the funeral hall, shrouds the body, and prepares it to go to the original estate. He has all the materials of the Unification Church's specialized technical field.

It is all contained in this notebook. Say, “Notebook (수첩)” “Notebook!” The age of statistical calculation is coming, when the recorded content and statistics centering on Providence shall come into alignment and shall have to be brought into alignment. The statistical calculations on the right and the statistical calculations on the left do not match. The satanic world centers on the number 9; the Heavenly world centers on the numbers 7, 12, and 13.
How many provinces are there in the eight provinces and rivers of Korea? “There are 13 provinces.” It is 13 and, at the same time, 8. There are 8 provinces and Jeju-do; what is on Jeju-do — there is Samseonghyeol (三姓穴, the Three-Surname Cave). The Three Surnames are Go, Bu, and Yang — and what is the Yang? It is not a maritime-zone village. It is the character yang (梁, ditch). It is a ditch like the Cheonggyecheon. The water flowing there is excrement-water, the rotten water in which dead persons are buried. Fish and other creatures cannot live there, and even maggots and the larvae of mosquitoes cannot survive.
Where is Sutaek-ri? It is over the Mangu-ri pass. On this side of Sutaek-ri is the Mangu-ri pass, and what is there on that pass? When those who quarrel, those who do politics, those who fail, or those who succeed die, the place where they are all buried together — what is it? “It is the common cemetery.”
The nation of the common cemetery — what is it? It is the democratic world. It refers to the world centered on the Republican Party (공화당). It is the party that harmonizes publicly. The party of the parent and the party of the child cannot be different; the parties of brothers cannot be different. That is the Republican Party. There is the Democratic Party, and the Democratic Party — there is the difference between father and son. It is not “republican.” There is, that is to say, a hierarchical difference.
The Religious Sphere Is to Bind East, West, South, and North Into One
What does the word “religion” mean? Looking at jonggyo (宗敎), the character gyo (敎) is the radical hyo (孝, filial piety) joined with father (攵). Strange, is it not? Hyo (filial piety) joined with bu (father) is gyo. Gyo is teaching, and Jonggyo means the teaching that is the ridgepole.
What is the teaching that is the ridgepole?
There must be a filial son who attends to his father as a father. It is not that the father comes first and then attends to the son. It is the filial son who attends to the parent.
So, in pictographs, what is the radical at the start? Whether it is the in (亻, person) radical or the cho (艹, grass) radical matters. Incheon (仁川) means that two (二) persons (亻) live in three streams (川). The three streams are land, sea, and air. In Incheon, a statue of General MacArthur was erected. When the American forces landed at Incheon, the communist world and the democratic world, the religious sphere and the non-religious sphere, fought — Cain and Abel. The Parents did not appear.
Who must become king?
Neither the elder brother can become king, nor can the younger. Between those two, there is only fighting. The democratic world is a world of fighting. In the Garden of Eden, there were elders and younger; the elder killed the younger. It was not the father who killed the son, and not the son who killed the father. This world must put an end to that fighting. That is the theoretical situation.
In the end, it is the father who denies the son and the son and his daughters who deny the father. Centering on what? Money, power, and influence. Power is an organized, systemic force — it is the force that links the vertical and horizontal. What is that force? It is the force that comes forth from the position that can represent the mother and father. Do you understand?
What was the mistake of the Garden of Eden? It was the elder who killed the younger. Next, Eve seduced Adam and killed him. The woman performed the act of killing the man. Say, “Ju-saek-jap-gi (주색잡기, wine-women-and-gambling)!” “Ju-saek-jap-gi!” They say one delights in ju-saek-jap-gi — what is ju-saek-jap-gi? To delight in wine and women, one must have money. Wine and women and gambling. As for the magic show centering on wine and women, it is gambling.
Say, “Notebook!” “Notebook!” What does the notebook do? Is information precious, or are intelligence reports precious? How do strategy and information differ? Is it strategic information or an informational strategy? You do not know that either. “We receive intelligence and form strategy.”
So, which is the master (主)?
The champion nation of statistics is America. The representative nation that takes information, turns it into statistics, and uses it as model cases for national policy is the Second Israel.
The UN becomes one centering on America. It is globalism. Ethnocentrism vanishes. We must surpass individualism, familialism, tribalism, ethnocentrism, and nationalism. Europe advanced into an age centered on globalism, and that is why the thinkers came forth there. Among the four chief figures centering on the values of Western philosophy, who comes first? “It is Descartes.”
Descartes was a Frenchman; Kant and Hegel were Germans. After them, Nietzsche too was German, though he also lived in Switzerland. He was the one who said God is dead. I have a responsibility to take charge and proclaim the reports given by the four chief figures of the spirit world. Do you not wish to know in what position Descartes, Kant, Hegel, and Nietzsche live in the spirit world?
Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am” — but did Descartes' father and mother not think? Did the French people not think? Even the dog thinks while it is alive. Dogs bark at spiritual persons. Do you know that the clever Jindo dog barks at spirit persons? I tried to experiment with this, but the environment did not allow it.
When I looked into those four chief figures, they were in the most pitiful place in the spirit world. Let us read “Nietzsche.” If we read quickly, beginning with “Descartes,” the first one, we can finish all of them in 40 minutes. Only by doing this today will the conclusion of my visit to Las Vegas be brought into alignment. They left such names behind because they were in the wrong tier of position, in the wrong place.
The religious sphere is to bind East, West, South, and North into one. The nations of the East are my nation, the nations of the West are my nation, and the nations of the South and North are also my nation; the people of these places must not practice cross-marriage, but intermarriage.
I mean that the peoples of the five oceans and the six continents must do intercontinental marriage. The five oceans and the six continents refer to the five internal organs and six bowels. Unification Thought Is Godism
The main thought of President Moon is Godism. What is Unification Thought? It is Godism. Godism is that you and I, peacefully, must become one. They know the principle. Without anyone teaching it, they know it.
What is above is good, and what is below must follow; what is on the right is good, and what is on the left must follow; what is in front is good, and what is behind must follow. The master–servant relationship is clear.
There are the materialist view of history and the idealist view of history. Which comes first — idealism or materialism? Which comes first — the idealist thought, or the materialist thought? Centering on those two thoughts, Hegelian philosophy set forth the logic that they are unified by passing through three stages.
Kant spoke of The Critique of Pure Reason, but can there be a logic of pure reason? They did not know that human beings had fallen and that the bloodline had been altered. On what is the very word “pure” grounded? They did not know the Fall. They did not know that the bloodline had been changed. Not knowing this, they spoke of The Critique of Pure Reason and The Critique of Practical Reason, but they had no answer for the theory of practical reason. That is the problem of Kantian philosophy.
The Germans think themselves the most outstanding, do they not? In intellect and mathematical statistics, the Germans cannot be matched. The Germans built monasteries on mountaintops and tried to meet God by climbing to a high place near Him. A man like Hegel argued the syllogism of three steps. He said that unification arises only after fighting comes first. Such a thing cannot be.
That is the logic of thesis–antithesis–synthesis (정반합) — but how can opposition come out of the thesis?
Such theory and philosophy cannot be. Nietzsche was German but lived in Switzerland and Italy as well. As Nietzsche saw it, those who always cheated while practicing diplomacy were the Christians. They said unconditionally, “Believe in God, revere God,” and tried thereby to make themselves masters wherever they went.
When asked to show where God is, they would not show, and yet they said one must absolutely believe in God. Therefore, there could be no absolute obedience, no absolute submission.
If God exists, I will absolutely surrender, and will offer Absolute Faith and Absolute Love — but because God did not exist, all is false, he said. He saw that such false ones were playing the role of God, working their swindle to fashion the history of sin. That is why he said, “God is dead.”
Did Descartes know the Fall?
Did he know the bloodline had been altered? Did Kant know it? Did Hegel know the bloodline had been altered and that there had been a Fall? Nietzsche likewise. They did not know that human beings had fallen and that the bloodline had been altered. The one who knows this is the Owner of Peace and the Owner of Lineage.
If Only Jeju Island Had Listened to Me
What is peace?
Cain and Abel ought to have become those who could attend God, but Cain killed Abel. God set up Abel and tried to save Cain. Why so?
Originally, Satan was the archangel. The archangel assisted in the creation of Adam, and he was to bear responsibility for raising that Adam, having him marry and enter Heaven. Until they entered Heaven, God entrusted the whole to him.
The archangel carried the naked Eve about on his back. Adam, watching to see whether he carried her well, followed along, and when Eve said, “Adam, here it hurts,” he would scratch the spot. Until she passed fourteen or fifteen years of age, she was set on his lap, fed her food, and carried about — so he was regarded as a male consort. There were only Adam and Eve, and she liked the archangel like a male consort.
Adam did not know. Not knowing the means of creation in God's stead, he had to learn. That God had entrusted to the archangel. The pit is deep, and if one falls into a well, even a king or a prince will die unless there is a bucket-rope to draw him out. Women are quick of speech, too, and tell amusing stories well. Is it better to hear the voice of a man or the voice of a woman? A woman's voice is high-pitched, isn't it? Park Jeong-min, sing a song once! Listen to how high-pitched it can be. I am concluding the content of the notebook—it is a matter for your research. As I began Cheon Il Guk, I purchased this notebook anew. What is the first thing that comes out? “October 3, 2001.”
Why did I skip January 1, 2001, and leap all the way to October 3?
An ordinary person looking at this does not understand. If I had set 12 years as the important period, it should have begun on New Year's Day of 2001, not October 3, 2001 — why did I skip 9 months and set October 3? I aligned October with the number 13.
If you go to the hotels in Las Vegas, there is no 13th floor. The 13th floor has been removed. If you ask, they do not know why. Therein is the battlefield of the First Israel, the Second Israel, and the Third Israel. Look. It is written: “10/3 of Year 1 of Cheon Il Guk — World Unification Country Foundation Day (개천절).” Why did I set it on October 3? October 3 reads as the number 13. 2001 is the number 21, and October 3 is the number 13. The Three-times-Seven (3 × 7 = 21) and the number 13. The number 13 — the eight provinces and rivers, the lament of one's fate.
So I bought up the important lands of Jeju Island. I even intended to build a cable car. If only Jeju Island had listened to me, it would have become a wondrous place of dreams, an educational ground for all the peoples of the world. Jeju Island is directly connected with Hawaii and directly connected with the South Pole. The wind that blows from the South Pole blows just so upon Jeju Island.
Our land on Jeju Island is Jigwido (地歸島) — “the island where the land is restored.” That island I bought 40 years ago. From there, looking at Mt. Halla, it looks like a white cloth has been laid over it after the death of Eve.
It is exactly like the form of a woman's bosom or the tip of her foot. There, I intended to build a watchtower, but because Jeju Island opposed, I could not. Had I been able to build a watchtower there, I would not have built the palace at Yeosu-Suncheon, but there.
They Did Not Know That God Is the Father
October 3, 2001, is 3 × 7 = 21, the number 21. October 3, 2001, seeks out the eight provinces and rivers, the 13 provinces, and the number 13. It is the 43rd year. This year, the 10th year of Cheon Il Guk, we welcome the 43rd True God's Day. This year is the year of the Tiger, and as fierce as the white tiger of the bamboo forest are the people of Pyongan-do. Do you know the saying, Maeng-ho chul-rim (猛虎出林, “the fierce tiger emerges from the forest”)?
Toward the end, the tiger ages and eats up three generations — grandfather, father, and son and daughter. And yet that tiger carries the grandson on its back and raises him, that he may attend it as a mountain spirit. There are many such tiger fables. Our grandfather used to tell us such stories.
When famous scholars, men who said they would take the civil service examination, and all sorts of other people came to our grandfather, I would ask, “What sort of person are you, that you have come here? I am the grandson of this house, and my grandfather listens to my words, and even my mother listens to my words — will you also listen to my words?”
I would speak so even to old grandfathers. Even to white-haired old men, I played the game of “Will you listen to my words? Do you not know that I am the baby king?” Then they would, with a start, say, “Ah, the person I met in my dream was like an ancestor of mine of many generations back, and looking quietly now, it is that very face. Grandfather, Father, Elder Brother!” —and bow down to me in reverence. I received much such reverence.
All of this is present in the shape of the human face. They spoke of “Heaven (天)” and “Earth (地),” but man (人) was omitted. Had they said “Heaven, Earth, Man (천지인),” the Four Books and Three Classics would not have been necessary. The saying “Won-hyeong-i-jeong (元亨利貞) are the constant Way of Heaven, and in-ui-ye-ji (仁義禮智) are the principal threads of human nature” is the general thesis of Confucianism—and even such things would not have been necessary.
The eyes of a person are in God's place; the mouth is in the place of all things. The nose is a man. They did not know that God, as a personal God, is the Father. They came forth knowing God as one not to be known.
So they said vaguely that if one attends to God in life, one will receive blessings and live. That is correct.
How did I, in my infancy, know?
Without having been taught. I did not know schools either. Were there schools? Cheonjihyeonhwang (天地玄黃), jinsukyeoljang (辰宿列張), hallaeseowang (寒來暑往), then undeungchiu (雲騰致雨). Then geomhogeogwol (劍號巨闕). The laws of the palace, the laws of ruling a nation, are all there. Going on to the second sheet, the third, the principles of Heaven and Earth come fully forth.
I learned the interpretation of the Thousand Character Classic from my grandfather, but I have forgotten it all. I am saying — forget even the roots of Confucianism. I spoke centering on the Bible, not on the Four Books and Three Classics. Yet I know everything from the Sohak on. As much as possible, I did not speak about such things. I said, “Until you trust yourself, do not speak. Do not even listen!” (Father then explains the content recorded in the notebook from October 3, 2001, to May 4, 2009.)
In the motto on New Year's Day, January 1, 2009, the phrase Cheonji Bumo Cheonju Anshik Gwon (천지부모천주안식권) comes forth — the gwon character is gwon (圈, circumference, realm). It is not gwon (權, authority) with the namu (木, wood) radical. And it is Absolute Sex (절대성). Absolute Sex differs in temperature and in speed.
First, Absolute Sex must be established. Second, it is “the Journey-Path of the Sperm of the Relation of True Love and True Father.” It has never yet settled, not once. It is breathtaking. The “Journey-Path of the Sperm of the Sphere of True Love and True Father” has never yet settled.
Centering on Ewha University and Yonsei University, I intended to bind together the six chief religious bodies of Cain and Abel as one, but opposition arose.
The Kumnan Methodist Church, built by Kim Hwal-lan, was a radical faction of Methodism. Three generations — grandfather, father, son — held the offices of elder and pastor, and proclaimed Absolute Godism.
Once Absolute Godism is proclaimed, that is enough; there cannot be branches like Seventh-day Adventism or such-and-such a denomination. They said even the Unification Church is heresy and must be smashed.
The age of the settlement of the Sperm of True Love and True Father has not come. The age of the settlement of the Sabbath Realm must come. Third, it is “True Mother's Ovum of the Relation of True Life.” The mother's and father's reproductive organs of Absolute Sex, centering on God, have never met. There has been no path by which the sperm and the ovum became one. They must enter the jar, align in measure, and become one.
How should Cheonji Bumo Cheonju Anshik Gwon, the Sperm of Absolute Sex and True Love and the perfected Ovum of Eve, have come to be? Centering on God's lineage, the sperm-seed of the firstborn was not planted in the womb that hung from Eve's vaginal cavity. That is the Fall. Because a sperm inheriting Satan's lineage entered the womb, the world was turned upside down. Therefore, as the saying goes, “It is not gotten on the first try” (초부득삼, 初不得三) — it is completed only on the third attempt.
Only when the Old Testament Age, the New Testament Age, the Completed Testament Age, and then the Sabbath-Realm Age of the Fourth Adam come, will North and South be unified.
Kim Il-sung, the Cain substantial being, has handed down the line to Kim Jong-il, who is substituting for the Heavenly Kingdom's royal authority. That ends in 25 years, and this year is the 25th year; he will not cross the quarter-century. All of this is set to be in alignment. Do you understand?
The Starting Point of the New Children Is the Blessing
The notebook is precious. Do you have a notebook like this? “Yes, I have one.” Is it the same? “It is different.” All are different. They live as they please. The notebook ought to be one. They have not put into practice what they were taught centering on the textbook, but have come along disguising mottos as they pleased. Such conduct is not in accord with the original, model standard of God's Providence. It will be broken into pieces.
I said that of “the New Year's Day motto for 2009, Cheonji Bumo Cheonju Anshik Gwon,” the gwon character is gwon (圈, realm).
Next is "The Starting Point of the New Children.”
The starting point of the new children is the Blessing. It refers to the Blessed Families entering the spirit world and being guided by Heung-jin, the commander-in-chief of the spirit world. It is “the Starting Point of the Era of Fruition.” It means that God's direct sons and daughters, dividing the spirit world and the physical world and governing them with the authority of totality, comprehensiveness, and full sovereignty in the institutional sphere of the original, unfallen world of Eden, will be transformed into a world in which the Teacher can take the place of the work God has done.
Therefore, 4 is “Founding of the Era of the Three-Conditions Sphere of Integration — Starting Point of the New Children — Completion of the Era of Fruition.” 5 is “Instructions for the Special Era of Fruition: the Special Era of the Opening of the Gate of Individual Completion, the Era of Completion of the Family Party, the Era of Completion of the National Party, the Era of Completion of the World Party, the Era of Cosmic Completion.” 6 is “the Era of God's Completion and Conclusion.” Then 7 is “May We Enjoy the Era of Free Formation of Blessed Families — Connection — the Eternal Land of Liberation and Release, the Succession of the Harmony of God's Homeland and the Earth!” —that is, “May we enjoy the inheritance of the homeland of God and the homeland of peace on earth!”
Then 8 is “May All Be Concluded and Completed in This Year of Holy Wedding. Advance into the World of Eternal Life and Blessed Joy; May the Era of Responsibility Be Completed!” The Blessing is brought to a close. Next is “From May 4 to May 6, 2009.” It is last year, the 9th year of Cheon Il Guk, from May 4 to May 6; from this, May Dano (the 5th of May, lunar) is missing. It was when the ssireum tournament was held. As “Instructions of the Sovereignty of True Love,” it is the “Gi-il Spirit World Era [ 기일].” It is the era in which Christianity and the spirit world become one.
Then “the Era of the Family Party, the Era of the Abel Party, the Era of the Parents' Party — the True Parents UN Era — May the Adam Era of the 24 Solar Terms of the Absolute, Unification, Stability Party be completed. Aju!” After that, there is no record. After proclaiming “the God Era of the 24 Solar Terms of the Absolute, Unification, Stability Party,” “Aju, Mansei!” was given. After that, there is nothing. It is blank.
The Era of Unifying the New and the Old Calendars
After that, turning one sheet, it appears. From now on, listen well. Record it if you can. The content that I shall teach upon my return — this is the continuation of the new notebook. From the 10th year of Cheon Il Guk, it is a continuation.
February 14 is the first day of the lunar new year. There is a difference of six days from the 19th. Did the “Wongu Peace Cup Cain–Abel Cosmic Unification Tournament” take place or not? “It took place.” Father and Mother had a match, and there was a six-point difference.
It said, “Welcoming the 10th Year of Cheon Il Guk…” — So the starting point is Cheon Il Guk. “From May 4 to May 6, 2009,” it said. The 5th was left out. Centering on that 5th day, the Ssanghap Shipseung Il (쌍합십승일, Day of the Pair-Union Victory of Ten) was proclaimed. It was May 5 of the 4th year of Cheon Il Guk. What is Ssanghap Shipseung Il? Ssanghap Shipseung Il was proclaimed—why did it become the Day of the Victory of Ten?
The dates of birth of the Cain world and the Adam world differ. The bloodline has been altered. We have not yet been able to plant the bloodline of Adam. Because we have the mottled, spotted bloodline that must undergo restoration through indemnity, can such a band, two-thirds of which is in unbelief and only one-third in belief, defend the kingdom of Heaven? You must know that you have not yet become citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom.
It said, “Welcoming the 10th Year of Cheon Il Guk — Special Item, the Era of Unifying the New and Old Calendars.” The solar calendar runs about 40 days ahead. We must make these into one. So, “the Era of Unifying the New and Old Calendars: centering on the left hand…”
When you count gapja, eulchuk, and the cyclical signs, you do it with the left hand, not the right. The woman is on the left. When a man raises his hand, which is easier — this one or that one? Is it easier to extend horizontally, vertically, or at 45 degrees?
If you do it this way, the hand becomes the center, not the body. What about at 45 degrees? More than 3,500 people gathered at COEX. Centering on those people, we cross into the era in which one can receive procedures for entry into the Heavenly register, the family register, and the passport, centering on national authority. Not yet three years remain! We cross into the era of two years and 340 days.
“Welcoming the 10th Year of Cheon Il Guk — Special Item, the Era of Unifying the New and Old Calendars.” The solar calendar disappears. The solar calendar is a counterfeit. The old calendar has a thousand-year history and a ten-thousand-year history. Do you know this? Centering on what is missing among the twelve months, an additional month is inserted every three years. Centering on thirteen months, the twelve months must keep Absolute Faith, Absolute Love, and Absolute Obedience.
“Centering on the left hand, the vertical and the horizontal are distinguished and reckoned” — this refers to the left hand, the hand of Eve. Centering on the left hand, the vertical is four stages, then three. The vertical and horizontal are linked in the number 7. Four plus three is 7, and when you multiply the two, it is 12. The 7 and the 12 must meet; the 8 and the 11 must meet.
I have written it all down here. February 14, according to the solar calendar, becomes the first day of the first lunar month. February 19 is the teacher's birthday. After three years, six days will be drawn forward so that the first day of the lunar new year coincides with the Teacher's birthday, and God and the King of kings will become one, and the world will become a world of the history of the lunar calendar. Therefore, centering on Reverend Moon's autobiography — the educational material of the spirit of the people — there must be no one who does not know the textbook and instructional materials.
In every place, around the clock — what does this mean?
Even when one goes to the mountains, it is broadcast through the broadcasting station. There will be no nation that is omitted from anywhere. If one has a mobile phone, sitting in one place, one can call out to anywhere in the world. When the teacher speaks in one place, the tens of billions of the entire world hear it. The spirit world, too, is educated in accordance with the Hoon Dok Hae.
For that reason, it cannot help but become one nation. Those who lived as they pleased and boasted of their ownership and worldly success have no place in that nation. Yes — the spirits who guard the high mountains appear as monks dressed in white robes and bearing staffs. Why? Because they say that one can attain release even without God. Buddhism says one is to attain release without God.
Many can cut iron like corn and perform all manner of charyeok feats of strength. A teacher, too, has learned such foundational stages.
When a teacher takes hold of one's hand like this, you cannot open it. I have done such training. When the teacher gives a grunt and exerts strength, blood comes out. The corners of the eyes burst. I am, in truth, a fearsome man. So what I am saying now is nothing. Such words are not even in the autobiography. Not in the autobiography, and not heard for an entire lifetime—I have spoken these.
You Must Write Your Own Autobiography
If you do not act according to the word, you become caught.
Since I have made the textbook and instructional materials, if you do not put them into practice, you will be caught by that law and must perish. Yet you have not perished; you have survived until now.
To survive, what is the one hour of Hoon Dok time?
You are crossing the pass of death; do you wait for a hand to grasp yours? Will it pass that, because the husband has not come, you ask not to be made to die? It will not pass. You must know this.
Let us see those who have made good use of the Unification Church and lived well. I am not a careless man. I am a sharp man. I dispose of matters rightly. That is why God has gone mad over me. I have driven God mad. Are you mad over me or not? “We are mad.” Anyone who is not mad, raise your hand. Those who are mad — I will close my eyes — raise your hand and applaud. (Applause)
Applause — stop! When stopped, you must lower your hand. What if I say, while looking that you are lying? When I look, I see that not all have become one, and yet they applaud. I can sort them out at once. I am a person with such an ability. And yet President Moon is made a fool, an idiot. President Moon, the eloquent one, sits like a dead man. But President Moon is not a scarecrow. I am the one who turned around and refitted the valve of the shotgun.
You were going to die of starvation, and I made these and even caught and ate roebucks and deer. When hungry, I caught and ate many crows and eagles, too, did I not? Without paying for the gun, mind you. When I went to the mountains, I hunted well, climbed trees well, and descended cliffs well. I caught even snipes well.
I was a champion at shooting ducks with a gun. When shooting downward at something like a pheasant from a high cliff on Jeju Island, you must shoot more than 1 meter ahead for it to drop. When shooting downward at something like a duck, you must shoot more than 3 meters ahead. Otherwise, even if you shoot 100 rounds, you will not hit.
You must write your own autobiography. Look. The autobiographies of Kim Yeong-hwi and the autobiography of Kim Won-pil have come out, and the names of all of them are in the Teacher's sermons of these 70 years. They extracted that content and used it to write their autobiographies. How the teacher saw it all comes out.
So I made the autobiography just as it is — out of the content of the teacher's sermons and what is recorded in the autobiography—and held a feast for them on their 80th birthdays, and they were pleased.
If the teacher has made it for them in this way, then is that autobiography not Kim Won-pil's autobiography, and Kim Yeong-hwi's autobiography? Will it become an autobiography? “It will become an autobiography.” It will.
If it does not, it is not. If we brought Kim Jong-il and told you to attend to him, we could even make him the third leader of the Unification Church. Do you think it is possible, or not?
If I said, “Become the elder brother and the father of Lucifer of the satanic world,” would you do it or not? “If Father instructs me, I will.” I am asking whether you would do it now. Why do you think that it is fine not to do it on your own, while saying you will do it if I instruct you?
I intended to send Cho Jeong-soon to visit the Cho clan of Teacher's hometown, the place where the Maitreya of Cho Han-jun was. Next, Napcheong-ri, where brassware was made. The place world-famous for making the brass ritual vessels used in ancestral rites was Napcheong-ri. Whenever I had time, I was the one who would go there to inspect what was being made.
Did our house lack the ancestral ritual vessels — wooden vessels, earthenware vessels, brass vessels…?
They were all there. All the ritual vessels were in the family shrine, but they were not used every year. They could not be used, it was said, where there was no loyal subject of the nation.
When the teacher entered the family shrine, he would kneel and bow and pray. When sleeping there, I would sleep on my side; I could not sleep straight. Even now I sleep so. Without having accomplished the Will, one cannot sleep before Heaven spreads out like the character dae (大, “great”). Because this became my habit, and once I decided to lie in the same direction for ten or twenty years, it has affected my body. It tilts. So every three years, I must change — facing north, or facing south.
How, then, can one know the southern land? When the place of sunrise is directly in front of you, the right side is the southern land and the left side is the northern land. Wherever in the world you go, this is set as a formula, so I know it at once.
When I go to Paraguay, I do not ask anyone. I ask where the sun rises. When you stand in the place where the morning sunlight strikes directly in front, the right side is the south and the left side is the north.
Then there must be an axis. If that axis is there, you always turn centering on that axis. The water that falls from the very top, centering on the 90-degree angle, falls in one place only — there are not two. You must align with that. The words Teacher spoke in his thirties and the words he speaks now are the same. I marveled.
The historic words I spoke about establishing the Three Position Foundation — even hearing them now, there is not one thing wrong; I spoke them all in interlocking order.
One Who Thinks Only of Eating What Is Given Becomes a Beggar
When the grave of our great-grandfather was relocated, I went and saw, and how amazed I was, you cannot imagine. I had thought our grandfather was preserved like a mummy, but there was nothing but bones.
For three or four years, I cannot tell you how I agonized to resolve that problem. There was no answer that this is how the root of things is. Going alone to the famed mountains and shedding tears, I agonized to resolve that problem.
Hyun-sil, sing one song of Kim Sat-gat, and let us close! It is fine if you say a word about the indignation you bore as you wandered about and were reviled. Say a word before singing! (Kang Hyun-sil testifies and sings “The Wandering Poet Kim Sat-gat.”) (Applause) Now I have nowhere to go! Where am I to go? It would be good to go to the hometown, but the hometown is far, and the mountains and streams are blocked. “Father, may we distribute the sweets?”
You should distribute them! Now I dislike distributing them. I have distributed much, and they remember and expect to receive again. They do not think to buy and eat what is given. One who thinks only of eating what is given becomes a beggar. That is a debt. It is a debt that cannot be repaid. It becomes a burden borne for ten thousand generations. (Bow)
