Having just sent off the era of “Universal Peace Federation, Cheon Il Guk (천일국), Ssanghap Chilpal Jubilee (쌍합칠팔희년), Mansei,” we have now greeted the hour of the Cheon Il Guk New Year's Day (원단) of 2009.

This is the very moment when God, the King of Cosmic Peace, and True Parents, His substantial object partner, become one body and set out anew on this New Year's Day of 2009.

On this first morning of the New Year, as the whole cosmos takes notice and the whole cosmos breathes as one to make a new resolve and to set out upon the New Year's Day of a new nine years, here True Parents—standing at the central place of heaven and earth, representing this entire whole—proclaim as this year's motto “The New Era of the Authority of the Victory of the Parents of Heaven and Earth, the Cosmic Sabbath Realm, Absoluteness, True Love, True Life, and the Authority of True Lineage.”

As the name of True Parents and God, the Great King of all things, becomes one body and proclaims all the mottos of this day, please receive them!

On this earth that greets the new heaven and earth, today's beginning is the path of the will that seeks to behold the new beginning of the authority of True Parents—completed inwardly and outwardly, in spirit and body—by becoming the one subject of oneness in inner heart and outer form, one mind and one intention, in the garden of the original ideal that God created, where there was no Fall.

Yet upon that path, midway, through the error of Eve—which was neither wished for nor imagined—an act of the Fall was committed that violated the lineage, and by following Satan's temptation, God could no longer dwell within the world of God's ideal of creation, and Satan seized all the authority of humanity's original ideal of creation and, taking the place of the parent instead, left behind the bloodline of the satanic world centered upon flesh and blood.

Passing through such a historic course of han (한)—through the fallen era of Adam, the era of Jesus, and the era of the Second Advent; through the Old Testament, New Testament, and Completed Testament eras—and now greeting the era of the Fourth Adam's realm of heart (심정권), this is the hour when, with the single-minded longing for settlement, we set out upon the ninth year of Cheon Il Guk.

Standing in the place of the parent who has found the new Abel UN and the love of brotherhood that can proclaim the consummation of a new history of providence (섭리), and centering upon a new nine years—passing through the first stage directed vertically, the second stage directed horizontally, and the third stage able to surpass the number eleven; passing through the ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth years of the new heaven—we have greeted the era of supremacy of the lineal victory of a new consummation of Restoration (복귀).

As we newly set out upon the very start of the ninth year of Cheon Il Guk, which can newly begin God's ideal of absolute love, and as we set out in this hour as the era of the victorious supremacy of the whole, the comprehensive, and the almighty fulfillment of Your desire upon the foundation of victory—please become the center!

Earnestly, earnestly, we beseech and wish that upon all this eternal world of the new heaven and earth—which we proclaim, take responsibility for, and set out upon—Your victorious supremacy alone may take the lead.

Now, upon this hour and this foundation on which all the beings of creation, centering upon True Parents and proclaiming, newly set out upon the realm of the Abel UN with God's realm of liberation as the basis — standing in the place of the victorious supremacy of the ideal of the original, completed oneness of spirit and body — we wish to hold, upon the foundation of the ninetieth-birthday occasion of January 31, the re-coronation ceremony of the era of the full authority of God, who has become the victorious King representing the new heaven and earth, that God may be enthroned as the King of kings, the center of the heavenly and earthly worlds, and the victorious King of kings.

Please grant this, and please grant and accept that the eternal world may carry on the new heaven and earth of victory that True Parents of eternal Mansei announce in this hour as the motto of the settlement at noon. Earnestly, earnestly we beseech.

In the name of True Parents, representing the New Year's Day, we proclaim and report—please receive it—that all the beings of creation, now in the era of God's liberated full authority and sovereignty, will, upon the foundation of victory of one mind, one intention, and one kindred that render absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, be transformed and developed into the new-millennium heaven of the liberation and release of earth and heaven, in which God's eternal, leading, victorious supremacy alone continues forevermore.

As the protagonists of the victory of the eternal world, Mansei upon Mansei, we proclaim—upon the victorious supremacy of True Parents, husband and wife, upon the victorious supremacy of the consummation of absoluteness—that all the beings of the whole cosmos will, attending the Lord, live a life of complete oneness and faith in the heaven of love, the independent heaven of liberation and release.

Please receive it, take responsibility in our stead, and become the Master of the throne of the glory of victory that advances, advances, advances!

Goodness, it is long! The era of proclaiming the victory of absolute sexual ethics, the right of true love, true life, and true lineage in the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath of the Parents of Heaven and Earth—Aju! (Aju!) (New Year's bows; three cheers of Eok Mansei)

In truth, today is a meaningful day. This occasion is just like holding the final closing ceremony that the Teacher has longed for throughout his whole life.

A Life Lived in Ignorance and Darkness

What is humanity longing for now?

There is no kingdom of God. There is no homeland. Because there is no nation, there can be no hometown. Having lost the hometown and lost the nation, people live as ignorant and benighted lives upon the wandering road—not knowing the way they should go, not knowing the spirit world, not knowing God, not knowing history. How miserable and how appalling a fact this is—those of us who know the Principle must come to know it.

To live as though the very place where one now stands upon the earth were one's hometown, one's homeland, is—even in a dream—an impossible thing, a mistaken view of history, a mistaken history. What was fashioned through the Fall and came down as tradition must be cast off swiftly.

By what method can the ignorant and benighted—those who are blind though their eyes seem whole—cast it off and dispose of it? The question of how to set it in order—even more than how to repair it—is an utterly serious matter.

What appears good to the eye is not, in itself, something good that I could have loved from the origin. The fragrance that the nose smells as good is not something one can truly love.

We know that what the mouth eats as good is not food that can be truly delicious nutrient. And further, in all that we hear and in all that the five senses feel, no one knew the grievous, sorrowful fact that the very cause that ought never to have been negated had been denied—and that it had been denied.

When the one who stands here was born as a witless infant, he did not know that one day he would unlock, with a key, such an enormous history and the secrets of heaven and earth as this. Yet in the historic age of his growing, I spoke many words that even I did not understand.

Even when speaking as a small child, in the midst of my mother and father calling, a sorrowful melody followed; and when, after the ideal music of the aerial world had gone before that infant, a sorrowful melody surrounding him would surely take possession—and when I came to know this, I wondered, “Why is this so? Is it only me?” But it turned out to be something even my mother and father did not know.

My mother and father did not even know the fact that I was sensing. Murmuring alone, on a given night, I would talk all night long. That was because I had met someone, and so I spoke. The mother who bore me found all those words spoken in a historic sense to be strange, and when she listened, every word had a system to it, and was at once a kind of speech unimaginable in the present, and the more she listened, the more she felt drawn—there was a magnetic pull, such that she was captive to an environment in which she could not sleep until that infant ceased to speak. When I grew old enough to understand speech, my mother told me of this fact, of these circumstances.

If only such things could have been recorded—if only they had been recorded on a tape recorder as we have nowadays, how good that would be! I have come to know only now that all of it was the content of prophecy taught from the spirit world, secrets hidden behind history, concerning the future.

Was it not a prophecy of the future, that those dreamlike words of long ago should connect even to facts that would come to pass a hundred years, a thousand years later?

I came to know that all that I murmured at night in my sleep, or in a half-waking, half-dreaming state, did not vanish but lived on together with the historic age, following along behind me. I spoke such words—words no one else could speak. It was so from infancy.

In Religion, the Words “Savior,” “Messiah,” and “True Parents” Are Always Present

So then, the grandmother is closer than the grandfather. The mother is closer than the father, and the elder sister is closer than the elder brother.

The woman is closer than the man. Seeing that the facts of speech — that its beginning, too, issues from the woman, and its end, too, issues from the woman—connect like a formula, I knew from childhood that, in the historical and necessary process, there is a historic content that begins centering upon the woman, that connects the process centering upon the woman, and that can draw a conclusion centering upon the woman.

Waking from sleep, I would think over the words spoken the day before, and when I thought in silence, a voice would be heard before me. “What you worry about, I shall accomplish it all—so wait and see!” As I alone came to know and to keep all such things, what then happened?

What had been said ten years before, if ten years before, would come to pass in the present. As I came of age, the facts that had clarified all the wrongful things about the family situation were made known and taught to me as facts related to one fundamental cause of another world.

Seeing such facts, surely there is a Master, the original substance, who can be the eternal, ideal center. I knew from childhood that there is a personal being of personhood and such a nation and such a world.

So, alone in the village, I would murmur, “In a certain village, such a thing is happening”—words I did not understand—and a few days later it would come to pass.

The more, then, I came to know, the more frightening the environment became. In that frightening environment, heaven could not come and become a fence.

Appearing in that frightening environment, the demons surrounded me and said, “You must not heed those words! You must not believe the words that appear in solitary meditation!”

In this way, the true substance of demons of every hideous form appeared and blocked the way I was going. If I were to speak of such things, there would be no end.

By that much, you will know what the Teacher's historic world has passed through. Even now, you do not understand what you yourselves are doing.

Heaven and earth are being overturned, I tell you. Heaven-above-and-earth-below is becoming earth-below-and-heaven-above; the order of “heaven, earth, dark, yellow” is being reversed into “yellow, dark, earth, heaven.”

For this reason, East and West must trade places and live. The way each goes is different.

When Eastern people write, they write from top to bottom and from right to left, but Western people do not! When sleeping, rather than lying on their backs, they sleep on their stomachs.

When beckoning someone, they do not do it this way, but beckon like this. They live by opposite speech, and I came to know that many of the environmental conditions are reversed. Who is to set this right?

For this reason, within the realm of religion, the Master called the Savior must come, and the Master called the Messiah must come. As for what the Messiah is, he must clarify history.

And then, the one called True Parents must teach the standard of life. Because such content must exist, in the deep valleys or upon the high places of religion, there must always be present the word “Savior,” the word “Messiah,” and then the word “Parents” who can save all peoples.

To clarify the world that one is to enter, there is a kind of pre-existing reality—though unseen, the good people of the spirit world, or the unseen masters of the real environment.

But the satanic forces are seen, are they not?

Being evil, they appear as evil and block the way. They block the way one is going. They set down boulders, or make a hill, or build a fortress. They draw a boundary line.

Living substantial beings, like the satanic forces, block the way by every means.

There are a few such beings who, in a twofold phenomenon, crisscross vertically and horizontally and obstruct the way one is going. To speak of this and that, there would be no end.

The Essentials That Summarize the Course of Human Life

How many minutes has it been since I began just now?

Even without speaking many words, I can speak simply. The thing I always speak of—how does one concentrate the course of human life into a few summarized essentials?

That, too, I came to know naturally, more than by my research. It is eating and sleeping. In eating and sleeping—did one eat well or eat poorly? In sleeping — does one sleep well or sleep poorly? Inside and outside are different.

All of you, is that not so?

One must eat and sleep. For whose sake is it? In that, one either becomes a person who eats and sleeps for one's own sake or eats and sleeps for one's parents' sake. It is of myriad forms.

Whether one eats and sleeps for the nation's sake, or eats and sleeps for the company's sake — it is of myriad forms; but if you sort it out, in eating and sleeping, one must eat well and sleep well. To sleep well, to eat well, is exceedingly difficult.

To eat any old way, to live any old way, to come and go as one pleases without any rule, to live entirely as one likes—such a frolic will not do.

Does one eat well and live well?

The conclusion that one eats poorly and lives poorly comes to more than eighty percent. Such a calculation comes out, and we are people quick at arithmetical reckoning.

Over a lifetime of human living, how much of the time spent eating and sleeping will be spent eating and living poorly?

If one lives eighty years, then in reckoning it, can one say one ate well and lived well for some twenty years? Even that one cannot be sure of.

All of you, in the untitled verse (무제시) that follows the Thousand Character Classic (천자문), there is this: “The human heart (人心) changes morning and evening (朝夕變); the color of the mountains (山色) is the same now as in ancient times (古今同).”

When I quietly observe, it does not seem to change so much morning and evening; yet the color of the mountains, I tell you, changes even less than I do. The shape of the mountains a thousand years ago and the river water itself flowing ten thousand years ago do not change—but what of the human being?

From our ancestors, countless people lived as object partners, passing through the mountains and waters around them, but what of the living of their lives? In a single day, how the body and mind fight!

The body and mind fight, do they not?

Do your body and mind fight, or do they not? (They fight.) One may say, “I do not fight,” but to say one does not fight is a lie. Upon analysis, one is fighting without leaving out a single hour, a single second.

That the human heart changes morning and evening is itself a generous estimate.

What is “morning and evening”?

In the evening, too, there are morning, noon, evening, and night. By day, it is so as well. Four times four is sixteen (4 × 4 = 16)—one can change sixteen times. To speak on like this, there would be no end. By that much, you will understand.

So then, in the course of human living, eating, and sleeping are important themes. Eating and sleeping—is there anyone who does not do these? If one does not eat, one dies. If one does not sleep, one dies as well.

The word “to die” (jugeo) and the word “dwelling place” (geoju) — “jugeo (dwelling).” The word “to die” is a good word.

Seen from one side, it can also become revelatory content, the path of pioneering by which one can live. There is such a meaning, too. In the Cain–Abel world, within Cain himself there are a Cain and an Abel, and within Abel himself there are a Cain and an Abel.

If above, then centering on above—east, west, south, north; if left, then centering on the left—east, west, south, north. The four directions and the eight directions are all so.

That is why people speak of the “lament of one's lot” (paljatáryeong). There is also the “beauty of eight directions” (palbangmiin). Rome was a place of four-ways-and-eight-thoroughfares. The content that can be commonly used, that anyone can immediately feel, is the number four and the number eight.

Eating and Sleeping, Going and Coming

For this reason, eating and sleeping — and then, what next? (Going and coming!) Going and coming! Human living is simple. Eating and sleeping, and then going and coming.

Did you come here? Are you going, or have you come?

You came. Going and coming—having come, one must go. Then, centering upon whether one comes and goes well, how do the accumulated standards of myriad forms differ? Did you come well? (Yes.)

How many are gathered here now? (Two thousand people.) For two thousand people, how many eyeballs are there?

Worldly people would say there are four thousand eyes, but there are eight thousand eyes. There are spiritual eyes, so that when judging good and bad, there are two eyes—the eye that sees the good and the eye that sees the bad—and of the seeing of the bad, eighty percent of the external lies under Satan's dominion.

Is nine nines ninety-one (9 × 9 = 91)? (It is eighty-one.) Why nine nines ninety-one (9 × 9 = 91)? Why is there no nine nines, a hundred-and-one (9 × 9 = 101)? It was said, “Seventy years have been rare since ancient times” (七十古來稀).

Seventy is needed. Some forty years ago, it was said to be difficult to live to seventy, so eighty is far too many! In those days, many died at sixty.

These days, do they not call even eighty a youth? At sixty, the age of one's first cycle, one is born; seventy and eighty are youth; and a hundred years can be thought of as middle age.

My—then how much is it, if one thinks centering upon forty?

Forty years ago, people lived to sixty, but now, over a hundred, even to a hundred and forty, people will live. So it becomes. You must consider that the future in which those words can prove true is not far off.

How old am I now? What day is today?

It is the Seven-Eight Jubilee. Why was it called the Seven-Eight Jubilee? Would that it had been called a seventy-year, an eighty-year Jubilee! Would that it had been called a seven-hundred-year, an eight-hundred-year Jubilee! A hundred times a hundred and ten-thousand times ten-thousand is the end. Try saying “Eok!” (Eok!) “Eok!” (Eok!) One chokes upon “eok” and keels over, I tell you. After “eok,” what next? “Eok,” The throat is choked. Ohh, eok — I am dying.

And then, what is “jo” (trillion)? Once it becomes “eok,” then “jo” is good. Will you become a billionaire of eok-and-ten-thousand, or a billionaire of jo-eok-and-ten-thousand? (A billionaire of jo-eok-and-ten-thousand.) So you do know! Try living that way, I tell you.

A Korean, when something is wonderful enough to be glad, says, “I am so dumbfounded I could die” (gi-ga makhyeo jukketda). Ah, what kind of people are these?

If one's “gi” (vital energy) is “blocked” (makhyeo), it ought to be good; but I have never heard anyone say, “My gi is blocked, and it is good.” A Korean says, “My gi is blocked—I could die.”

And then, why do people so often say “mal-iya”? Do they call a shop that sells little balls (bol) a “mariya” (まりや)? “Is it really so (jeongmal-iya)? But you see (mal-iya), one must wait and see!

Since it is uncertain, neither I know nor you know (mal-iya).” — Why do they keep calling out “mal-iya”?

This is a matter of meaning. When you say “mal-iya (Maria),” it becomes the symbol of the mother. In the old church, Maria is called the Great Queen Mother of the mother.

When I speak of such things, since I am a person who grasps the inside and outside of revelation, saying “I shall die, I shall live,” I cannot die however I try, and cannot live however I try.

If I must not die and must not live either, then what? Submerged in a vast, sloshing, stagnant water, I neither rot, nor dry up, nor flow away and vanish; no sandbar appears, and no muddy water is seen. Such still, stagnant water rots. Maggots breed in it.

Not “Thesis–Antithesis–Synthesis,” but “Thesis–Division–Synthesis”

Was it said that human living is a sea of suffering, or a sea of merriment and joy? Why is it a sea of suffering? It is good to live in the sea of suffering.

Why “good” (jota) again?

Living in the sea of suffering is bad, yet “good (jota)” makes one think of riding a bird (sae) and flying (ta). Though one is not merry and joyful, though it is called a sea of suffering, even in the sea of suffering, it is good! When a maiden and a bachelor marry and are blissful, they say, “It is good, it is good.” That means it is good to ride the flying bird. They are speaking, centering upon flying.

When one knows such things—because it is called a world where mutual correspondence, mutual opposition, and mutual contrariness cross — to put it as a general theory: the evil person likes the logic of thesis–antithesis–synthesis (正反合), and the good one likes the logic of thesis–division–synthesis (正分合). It means that what is divided unites.

If, having become a synthesis (合) from a thesis (正), it splits apart—is that thesis–antithesis–synthesis? The communists! It is thesis–antithesis, separation. Why did they attach the word “synthesis”? Centering upon the democratic world that unites, the communists go ahead, I tell you.

These days, the great confusion of the “386” generation (the 386 generation: those born in the 1960s who, attending university in the 1980s, led the student movement and the struggle for democratization) has erupted, and an era has come in which it is unthinkable to suppose that communists ought not to exist; yet Kim Jong-il and we merely live in the front and back houses, merely live on the left and the right, with only a difference of above and below—there is no difference. Then, if one is on the right, what is that? A person who does not know the left does not know the word “right.” When one says there is a right, one cannot but first acknowledge the left as a prior condition — and so even the evil one is thesis–antithesis–synthesis, I tell you.

This way it is synthesis, and that way it is synthesis, but in one thing they differ. Thesis—division: because it was divided, it unites. What was divided unites, and if this way is good and that way is good, then unification breaks out.

So it is “386”—but why attach the six?

If the left wing only does the left wing, there is no number six. Centering upon the five—the era of the individual, the era of the family, the era of the clan, the era of the people, and the era of the nation—absolute sovereignty is the center.

Beyond that, they say there is no need for God or anything else, no religion, no ideology. No Rome, no anything. The root of humanism's ideology is that there is no God. Rome, centering upon humanistic ideology, set up a false god made by man, attended to it as the subject, and became tangled up—false gods were truly many. That is humanistic theism. It is humanistic atheism, yet they made a humanistic theism. Why?

If a stone hurts them, they attend to it; if a tree grows large, they attend to it; if a river flows strangely, they attend to it. They try to attend everything. It is because they wish to become one with the thesis (正).

When one considers such things, one cannot welcome them. For it is not a synthesis of thesis–division, but a separation of thesis–division. Even the unified world that you achieve will, in the end, be propped up by Satan, centering upon the logic of synthesis, I tell you. Wheeet (He whistles.) Such a world it has become.

Is Kim Jong-il the real one, or is Reverend Moon the real one?

Reverend Moon speaks the logic of thesis–division–synthesis, while the other side speaks the logic of thesis–antithesis–synthesis—so we have entered an era in which it may be said that it is not Reverend Moon who used Kim Jong-il, but Kim Jong-il who used Reverend Moon.

The people here who center upon the president are apt to think, “Since communism is now unthinkable, we will not only cut it off with a sword, but also cauterize the cut place, and make even that cauterized spot invisible.” They say it must be cleanly set in order, but before setting it in order, one must first repair it. To set it in order is to make it vanish.

What is more fearsome than the communists is religion; and because religion holds the celebrated saying of bringing forth, not the thesis–antithesis–synthesis that denies God, but the unifying logic of thesis–division–synthesis—is it not a logic that proposes to establish a two-sided supremacy of victory?

When Joo Dong-moon spoke to me the other day, did he not report, “Having gone to America, I sense that, in the midst of its confusion and chaos, one may be able to bring in a new religion”? What does that mean?

It is thesis–division–synthesis. Go home, all of you, I tell you. It is thesis–division—not synthesis, but separation.

If, in the concept of struggle, the two factions fight, they become enemies. Two factions become four factions, eight factions, a hundred factions. Once they fight, they deny even the origin of their existence—they deny even the workings of the conscious world. Where are human rights then?

Where is conscience? Wheeet (He whistles.) It is an excuse-making that will bring catastrophe. So, I am trying to spare Kim Jong-il's life if at all possible, but when this person comes, he says, “Teacher, a great disaster has come.” “Why?” “The North is gradually trying to swallow the South.”

Even if it has swallowed two-thirds, when it gags and spews it back out, do you know what comes out? Do you know that the esophagus, the gullet, comes dragging out along with it? Once it is out in the mouth, it cannot be drawn back in, and so automatically the throat is blocked, and it perishes. It dies, I tell you.

All of you, do you know that one can die while making love?

Such talk—does a religious founder know how to speak even of love?

Moon Sun-myung — Sun-myung was, in olden days, Yong-myung. The secret of heaven, of the aerial world… The character “Mun” (文) means truth, theory.

If a thing does not fit the theory, I do not believe it. When my grandfather or my father said something to me, if it did not hold together front to back, I would catch it at once and say, “Such a grandfather is not my grandfather; such a father is not my father.” When I leveled a question, they were put to shame; and when they clenched a fist and even threw a punch, their disgrace spread far.

Centering on the Seven-Eight Jubilee, a Reign of Great Peace and Eternal Mansei

Eating and sleeping, going and coming, and then what? (Good and bad.) Good and bad. You have come here—is it good? Is it good or bad? (It is good.)

If it is good, then, from straight ahead, I strike the eyes east, west, south, north. I strike the nose east, west, south, north; strike the mouth east, west, south, north; strike the ears east, west, south, north; strike even the forehead east, west, south, and north—I strike beyond an eight-sided pavilion.

To adorn an eight-sided pavilion is to bring the whole of that culture into bloom. The only nation that possesses the eight-sided pavilion is Korea. Is there one in Japan? Japanese members, is there an eight-sided pavilion in Japan?

There are many four-sided pavilions, but even a six-sided pavilion is difficult to find. There must be everything from an eight-sided pavilion up to a twelve-sided pavilion, I tell you.

The number eight—since eight years have passed, it is eight-nine. The number nine, they say, has a ghost attached to it. Let those who like the number nine raise their hands. Those who like the number ten, raise your hands.

What is the number nine, what is the number ten, what is the number twelve?

One goes vertically, so it is a single digit; the number ten is two digits; the number eleven is three digits—but why are the three digits connected? Then, is the number ten the center of the horizontal? Is the number nine the center? It is eleven that is the center. That is a re-beginning.

Once you set it in order, you can repair it. It is three digits. As for one, the number nine is vertical. From one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, up to nine, Satan plays the master. There is only one master. And then, what is ten? The number ten belongs neither to the number nine nor to the number eleven — it has become the horizontal. It centers upon the horizontal level.

Here, too, one, two, three, four, five, six; and like this, one, two, three, four, five, six; and even this, done in reverse, is one, two, three, four, five, six. When you hang it like this, centering upon the surface on which the ten positions can be hung, three faces are negated, and along the absolute vertical, the fallen master—the archangel, the great demon—rules from one up to nine.

From one, both are mine, the master; three is also mine; four is also mine; five is also mine. Rome went only as far as the number eight of the four-ways-and-eight-thoroughfares.

So then, what is the astonishing thing in the Unification Church today?

It is “Centering on the Seven-Eight Jubilee, a Reign of Great Peace and Eternal Mansei.” My, what scheme is this? One cannot fathom what scheme Reverend Moon has in mind.

Where is a Seven-Eight Jubilee?

“Jubilee” is a word centering upon the fifty-year boundary. It joins the radical “to show” (示) with the character “joy” (喜). Centering upon seven years, it must become sevenfold. Only then does it become a boundary. It is horizontal.

And then there is also a vertical standard, I tell you. If we say there is a vertical such that, because the evil thing you ruled was bad, the bad can become good—then the good thing is in the high heaven of the unseen world.

The logic is that, having risen from hell up to the horizontal, from the horizontal, it connects to the secret storehouse of the heavenly kingdom.

If the very logic of “east, west, south, north” amounts to having unraveled the principle of heaven and earth, then the horizontal itself must have east and west, and the vertical itself must have above and below—such is the logic.

Because the one who liked the number nine was the demon, I, too, do not like the number ten, nor the number eleven, I tell you. The man's number is nine, ten, eleven; the woman's number is nine, ten, eleven. Satan, who occupied the lineage of husband and wife, is the king, and even God, who can tear this apart and remake it, cannot find a new lineage to bring from anywhere.

The answer to the riddle of a kingly authority that can trample upon eternal Mansei has come forth. There now—by that much, you will understand.

Korean Is a Language of Boundless Delight

The Gyoryeong of Cheondogyo! Did you understand what the Teacher's words mean, or not? (I understood.) That person, too, is seventy years old, yet he calls me True Parents. He ought to call me his friend.

What is the reason for that?

He knew only this little single-digit thing. He did not know the horizontal. He did not know the vertical either. To move centering upon this point means that, unless one gives and receives in all four directions and eight directions, one cannot live.

So then, what is the Book of Changes?

Through a cyclical motion in the four directions and eight directions—east, west, south, and north—wherever one goes, one can breathe. In the aerial world, too, the same air; this way one goes, the same air; that way one goes, the same air; this way, the same.

By night and by day, in all four seasons, it is all the same, so that one can live—only the system of management differs. The root has not changed; only the manager has changed, I tell you.

If, then, repairing the manager alone will not do, one must set the manager in order and be done with it.

If it went south, it must be moved north; if it went north, it must be turned over to the south. Because East and West have been switched, it will not do. And above and below as well, I tell you. And then, since forty-five degrees has been switched, if one only sets that right, then—apart from the original “good and bad”—it is good and only good, I tell you.

If only there are tens of thousands of good things, then what? Ten thousand times ten thousand is an eok. Why was a “ten-thousand” inserted there again? That is a revelatory word.

When speaking of this and that, while speaking Korean, there is much to learn and much to discover. Korean is a language of boundless delight that turns and turns about with three-dimensional content. Among Korean words, the most delightful word is the word “delight” (jaemi). Try saying “jaemi” once! (Jaemi!)

In Japanese, what is jaemi?

Omoshiroi (面白い)! If you say omoshiroi (面白い), there is also omokuroi (面黑い). “Interesting” means delightful, and there is also “no interesting.” That is all the word “jaemi.”

On this earthly star, there is no word more delightful than the word “delight,” I tell you. If an earthly heaven exists in this world, going to live at the central headquarters in America is not “delight.”

If one lives so delightfully that, while in hell, one longs for America and can come up from the very bottom of hell, then the world is overturned and cannot but become a good new heaven and earth. There can be no “good” and no “bad.” One can pluck out the words “good” and “bad” entirely.

Hey, hey, daughters! Sons! (Yes.) Daughters, raise your hands! Whose daughters are you? Are you the demon's daughters, or True Parents' daughters? (True Parents' daughters.)

Are you good daughters or bad daughters?

(Good daughters.) “True” is good love (jeong), and “bad” is bad love (jeong); so will you be a bad father's daughter, or a good father's daughter? The answer! It is clear. For a thousand years, ten thousand years, the answer is clear.

Is there a shadow there?

Absolutely none. If there is absolutely none, then it is absolutely good and only good; God is the foremost Absolute Being, and if there is an utmost extreme, the One who can be its Master can only be the one and only Lord — and so Korean is revelatory. It is the Korean people who know how to say that they will pierce through to beyond the sun and enter and dwell in the original palace-house where the God of peace dwells.

What kind of nation is Korea?

Is the “han” the “han” of “two nations,” or the “han” of “one nation”? (It is the “han” of “one nation.”) That one nation is always one nation. By night, it is one nation; by day, it is one nation.

Even within ten years, there is only one “one nation”! It is the one nation of the absolute extreme. Wheeet (He whistles.) Did you know there are three tones in the sound of a whistle? Wheeet (He whistles.)

If, moving the tongue, you open the mouth, three sounds come out. Try it. (Each person whistles.) You all do it well! There is no need to learn it.

When Satan calls, he does it with three different colors. He must do it with a sound that God, who has not even one, cannot make.

If you whistle all at once, it is not one color but three, four—up to seven colors come out, I tell you.

How many turns do you think the sound of a whistle makes? Within a circle, it must turn more than seven times for the whistle's sound to be heard far off. Try blowing with all your might. Doing this, the root of the tongue rolls back up into the throat.

Only Upon Reaching the World of the Fourth Adam's Realm of Heart Is Secure Settlement Achieved and the Ordering Completed

Now then, what is today's motto?

“The Parents of Heaven and Earth, the Cosmic Sabbath Realm, Absoluteness, True Love, True Life, the Authority of True Lineage!” The character “gwon” is not the character “gwon” meaning “sphere” (圈). It means power, as in authority.

It is the character “gwon” (權) — the highest, ideal power. “The Era of Proclaiming the Victory of the Authority of True ”Lineage”—everything is contained in there. If one unravels this, all of today's messages are contained in it.

Then, to give a simple answer—what is it?

When did the Pyeong Hwa Hun Gyeong (평화훈경) become the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong (평화신경)?

The delightful thing about the Unification Church is that there is the Wolli Haeseol (원리해설, the Explanation of the Principle), there is the Wolli Kangron (원리강론, Exposition of the Divine Principle), there is the Treatise on the Substance of the Principle, and there is the Treatise on the Original Image of the Principle. With the Treatise on the Substance alone, it will not do, I tell you.

Through formation, growth, and completion, these can all become one and keep the rhythm; and the Unification Church concludes that only upon reaching the world of the Fourth Adam's realm of heart—the first era of Adam being the Old Testament era, the second era of Adam, and the third era of Adam, since Jesus died—is secure settlement achieved and the ordering completed. So I see it.

All of you, is it easy to reach such a conclusion?

How is it that Reverend Moon can say so? I tell you. The Old Testament era is the era of formation; the era of growth is the era of Jesus; and in the era of completion, one makes the world one and goes all the way to the heavenly kingdom.

So one is dreaming of the era of secure settlement of the Fourth Sabbath Realm, in which we will attend and live with God, who dwells in the heavenly kingdom. You thought it laughable, did you not? What sort of talk is this, you thought.

It ought to end with the First Adam—so what is the Second Adam?

And, having failed, the Third Adam, the returning Lord, comes — and it becomes the liberation era of the Fourth Adam's realm of heart?

The facts of the spirit world, the physical world, and human history itself all had a theory of history. Like the Wolli Haeseol, there is an era of expository history. Each one expounded it! And then comes the Kangron (the Exposition).

Having taken form, men and women resemble one another greatly. Their builds are all the same! Only the height is a little shorter. They resemble eighty percent, ninety percent—but in one thing they differ.

The man's shoulders are merely larger, and then what? What is different?

The organs of metabolism differ! The woman has the organ that makes the egg, and the man shoots. Wheeet (He whistles.) It is convex. It is pointed, I tell you.

So — have you seen a lightning rod made concave? It is pointed. The more pointed and the higher, the more ideal, I tell you. And it must be made of steel.

Whether the wind blows or lightning strikes, even when the lightning's electricity is gone, it stands erect; only when made of iron that can grow still more pointed does it become a true lightning rod.

Everything Must Find a New “One” and Make a New Start

All of you, in moxibustion, do they call this point the Baekhoe (百會)? When doing moxibustion, what do they call this point? (The Baekhoe.) The Baekhoe moxibustion point!

Then, is one counting the number of “hoe” (会, meetings) rising to a hundred, or the number descending?

From a hundred, it becomes a hundred and one, I tell you. It is a hundred and one. Nine nines are eighty-one (9 × 9 = 81), and if you set down a twenty, it fits exactly, I tell you. Wheeet! (He whistles.) A hundred and one is the start of two hundred. A hundred and one does not fall to one or two; it weaves a new heaven and earth.

For this reason, even after an eok has become an eok, it is eok-and-one; and a jo, too, is jo-and-one. Everything that moves, so that the coefficients of relation exist as a continuous, real entity, must surely find a new “one” and make a new start.

Where that does not happen, it vanishes. The electricity does not flow. Wheeet! (He whistles.) I studied electrical engineering, so I studied all such things. You know it too, I tell you.

For this reason, although you thought the Unification Church was a witless fool, it has stood at the very forefront of the world of cultural creation. Because it has become the era of cosmic science, of space engineering, one can hold the dream of that world and refine it, I tell you.

In cultivating the Way, it is the Way of science. So—if you try to understand Reverend Moon's words, does it ever end, or not? One must learn. The more one learns, the more wondrous it becomes.

So, the grand conclusion—what is the New Year's Day motto?

It is the Parents of Heaven and Earth. Within the words “Parents of Heaven and Earth,” both the old church and the new church are contained.

The new learning and the old learning are all contained. Cain and Abel are all contained. Past and present are all contained. It is “the Parents of Heaven and Earth, the Cosmic Sabbath Realm.”

What is “Cheonju” (天宙, the cosmos)?

It is the house of heaven and earth. The house where the Parents of Heaven and Earth enter and dwell—wheeet! (He whistles.) Is that not right? It is the house of heaven.

The Parents of Heaven and Earth, the Cosmic Sabbath Realm! The Sabbath Realm exists like this. It means the environment. So it is the creation of the environment.

If something great enters the environment, it can expand endlessly — our conscience.

Even if God enters, He cannot pierce a hole in the wrapping-cloth of the conscience, I tell you. You all possess a wrapping-cloth of greed even larger than the conscience, do you not? Do you have it or not? If you do not have it, then die, I tell you.

With no dream, how can one live?

Even so, because one can breathe in another direction, because there is the possibility of moving sideways too, one manages to live; but if even that is all blocked, how can one live at all?

One must just die! There is no lingering attachment. After being refined, having no ground of hope for one's life in any of the four directions, front and back and left and right—such a person is pitiable. There, everything comes to an end; what is all the fuss about?

In Resolving What Was Entangled, the Unification Principle Emerged

So then, is the word “perhaps” (혹, 或) a doubtful character, or a certain character? And so the Teacher thought every nation has its vague places, and in writing it correctly—what is it?

If you place a dot upon the character “king” (王), it is called “jade” (玉). A jewel does not change. It has a value that holds for ten thousand years. So the nation itself is a riddle. And so the Teacher's conclusion is “Nake-mu-a.” Because the nation thinks any which way, when one opposes, one should do “Nake-mu-a,” I tell you.

People who believe in Buddhism today say “Namu Amita Bul,” but what does that mean? It is words one does not understand, yet they say that if you keep chanting, it will be made known. “Nake-mu-a”—if you dig out the “I” (na) and return to the state of no-self (mu-a, 무아), the absolute sound is heard, I tell you. A song is heard. So, when the Teacher found it strange, he said, Let it be and see — let us see the end of the future. So, “Nake-mu-a”: let us think any which way!

In the time of Japanese rule (왜정), one had to do so to survive in the real environment. Let us try doing as you all say is good! Even if I dislike it, if I do as you say, it is not for ten thousand million years. It comes to an end, I tell you. It ended. It is the no-self in which, by digging, my greed and my desire can completely become void.

If you find the self that has entered the void, then the being called God appears, standing firm upon the pillar of the universe, I tell you. Wheeet (He whistles.) That is a true word.

The word “Nake-mu-a” is a hundred billion times more effective than “Namu Amita Bul,” I tell you. On the day one does only this, one does not perish — but what?

Digging and digging, where the “I” vanishes, where one moves, the shadow surely goes ahead first. I thought the shadow came behind, but it goes ahead. It goes mimicking me. And if I turn around and go, the very form of going straight pushes me from behind.

In such a world, in resolving what was entangled, centering upon the person called “I,” it became the Unification Principle, I tell you. Coming to know the nucleus reacting historically in human life and centering upon the nucleus and the nucleus, the facts of front and back, left and right, inside and out, I came to know where God must be—that what God likes is the environment, and that the destination of the environment is the result; so cause and result are the same. The path that the environment itself goes is only one. The path is not two.

It is the  Pyeong Hwa Hoon Gyeong. Now it has become the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong. It is the Wolli Haeseol, the Wolli Kangron. In the Haeseol (Explanation), the unraveling that can establish a relationship with the infinite world begins, up to eighty percent. Beyond that, it does not know, I tell you. So it is the Kangron (the Exposition).

One must come to know even up to the standard that the earthly satanic world knows, to be able to prove what Satan is. So it is a hundred-and-one, a hundred-and-two years old. A hundred-and-one is only Adam, only one; it must become a hundred-and-two.

Do you know that the year of the Teacher's ninetieth birthday is 2009? In 2010, it was ninety-one. In 2010, it was one, two, three. Thesis–antithesis clash and cancel out and must all vanish to nothing; but because it is thesis–division–synthesis, from a distinct number three, the land of the ideal comes.

The ideal homeland and the ideal original native land begin to come! It is one, ten, hundred, thousand, or ten-thousand, is it not? Ten thousand times ten thousand means uniting the left wing and the right wing.

For this reason, what is the number nine?

It refers to one with eight circles drawn around it. That is the number nine. On the day the number ten becomes nine circles, since a pillar comes forth here, if that world comes forth, it grasps the horizontal and sets a standard upon the horizontal. The horizontal extends out evenly, and because two push it up, the instant it is discovered, it rises quickly, I tell you. And this, too, having come here and gone away and returned, the two unite and push, and so it goes all the way to the end.

If it has risen all the way up there, then, “Aigo, we have reached the summit—let us go down all the way to hell at once!” And so, in descending, because there is acceleration, it overcomes and abolishes the working by which it rose here, with a speed beyond—a speed all its own—and bores down into the land of hell, I tell you. When its force comes forth fully, even to the root, it pulls it up, and in rising again, it can set in order even the very root of the Fall, I tell you.

One, two, three become the same in rising. On the vertical face, this thing produces a reactive pole more on the horizontal face than when done horizontally. So it is. Electricity produces a reactive power.

The Mystery of God's Creation

So, look. Try saying, “Era of the individual!” (Era of the individual!) Era of the family! (Era of the family!) And then the era of the clan—the relatives. (Era of the clan!) And then the era of the people. (Era of the people!)

Those in the four directions, east and west, gather and cannot but scatter out like this, but one comes up seeking the center. When going to the end of the future, if I am in the center, then, fortifying me all the more, since anyone in all four directions fortifies, I become the nucleus of nuclei, I tell you.

A place that even God has tamped down cannot be touched and split apart; and that thing itself, holding not only the horizontal standard but even the vertical standard—because the descending force of the vertical lifts with a mallet — once it has gone down, it cannot but rise.

So the vertical, being a thing greater than the moving when it moves, in descending is pulled down from the four sides horizontally—how swiftly, then, through accelerating speed, does it revolve! The more rotation is added, the faster the acceleration becomes.

So the conclusion is that it formed and built the great universe, I tell you. In such a cyclical motion, the great universe too must have come to be; the process of creation has not yet halted but is in progress, I tell you.

So, in the end, what is it? “The authority of True Lineage” uses the character “gwon” — the 權 of [the name] Kwonjin. It means authority. Among powers, it is the highest, ideal power, I tell you. The bloodline alone is the most precious of all. I have concluded.

There are Western people here, and Western people do not know that blood lineage is precious. “Blood lineage is needed by Eastern people; we do not need it,” they say. Because even greetings do not need the vertical, they say the horizontal alone is foremost. They match eyes horizontally, match noses, match lips. Having matched eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, coming down from the forehead, there is nothing left but to kiss.

The mouth is water and air. With the mouth one breathes, drinks water, and eats food, does one not? One eats hundreds of kinds of nutrients with the mouth. One drinks water and eats air. If you block this (the nose), one goes “hoo, hoo, hoo” with the mouth, I tell you.

Can one eat or not?

So, why do a maiden and a bachelor, when fond of each other, try to kiss? A kiss is a lip kiss, a tooth kiss, a tongue kiss, and then a throat kiss. There is even such a saying. Among the active people of the Unification Church, the most active of the active ones do that. Doing this, I am dying, I tell you.

When making love, exerting one's strength, one is drained and keels over. When breathing in unison, when the man and woman breathe together—if they breathe together twice, three times, they die while making love. Because such a fearsome event occurs, Korean people always keep a needle. They always carry it tucked in their hair. If there is a problem, they pull it out—and then what?

The other day, I said that, since I am old, my left ear does not hear. It is gradually growing deaf. If this becomes blocked, and the right side, too, begins to block, then after a few months I must go, I tell you. It is gradually blocking. It was three days ago. Though I tried to scoop out the earwax with an ear pick, it would not catch. The lump was too large, I tell you. Going in, it would be pushed inward, and coming out, it was so sticky it would come along and then stop, always coming back to that same place, gradually blocking.

We are sensitive people. I quietly observed the motion of the muscles working. When I applied force with the ear-pick like this, the skin rose right up. Aha—it is not that the ear itself is like that, I tell you. Pressing hard into the blocked place there, the reaction comes here. So, doing it gently, once, twice, three times, a hole was bored through.

Putting it into the bored place, “Bah, never mind — something is stuck in there!” and pressing past it with a “swish,” a “toot” sound came out, I tell you. Thereafter, the blocking lump of earwax caught, and when I pulled, it would not come out.

Pressing and pulling, a piece this big came out. Thinking I would die, I tried even my last resort, and when it rang out with a “pop,” I cannot tell you how refreshing it was. Try doing it once. My, it is wondrous.

Having done this, it hears even this way, and if I plug the ear with cotton and hollow out the pillow, it hears just so. When I made it convex and plugged the ear, it did not hear; but after doing this, even when made convex, because the air passes through here, it hears.

Reverend Moon, too, learning and learning the mystery of God's creation, marveling and astonished, when I say “God…!” I am ready to drop dead! He is One whom one cannot bear to overcome—if one dies and moves, then one has moved, I tell you.

So—good, good, and good! Three times. If you say “good, good”—just two—it splits apart and brings catastrophe; but where the one who went returns and becomes one, one says, “Good and good, and good, it is good.” Because I know the motion of the Four Position Foundation (사위기대), which branches out in all four directions and can circle, I know that where the nucleus of the law of rotation lives forth, a firm seed is produced, I tell you.

Do You Wish to Become an Unfertilized Egg, or a Fertilized Egg?

All of you, do you know the Korean word “ssibaji” (씨받이, the seed-bearer)? Do you know “ssibaji”? (Yes.) The love of the archangel is an unfertilized egg, I tell you. It has no seed.

However, it tries, but there is no seed. Though there are ten million unfertilized eggs, one can neither hear nor see the cry of the chick that heralds the morning. Apart from the unfertilized egg, what egg is there? (The fertilized egg.) What is the opposite of the unfertilized egg? (The fertilized egg.)

It is so with the hen as well. Though it lays twenty to a hundred unfertilized eggs, it does not hatch them. If, about a week before laying the unfertilized eggs, it follows the rooster about when he goes “kok-dak, kok-dak,” and is fond of him—if the two kiss and are fond of each other — they become fertilized eggs, I tell you.

So what egg do the man and woman wish for? Do they wish to become an unfertilized egg or a fertilized egg? Why do they kiss?

When they kiss, where does the hand go next? The hand that had gone to the back, while caressing one's own chest, finds that there is no milk on one's own chest. Pressing on the woman's chest, there is a cushion that pushes him back. On one's own chest, there is no cushioning device, but on the woman's chest, there is a cushion.

If you push at the place with the cushion, at first it does not come off. But that, too—once, twice, three times, four times, five, six, seven, eight times—only when done eight times does it come off; and where the hand goes down, it is the navel. Try saying “navel!” (Navel!) If the woman's navel is a hundred, the man's navel is also a hundred, so the navel must taste the hundred together, I tell you.

What comes out when pressing the breast, one becomes aroused, is the navel. When this comes forth, the reproductive organ that had been closed opens, I tell you. I do not know. Looking at the Principle, it is so, I tell you. Find out whether it is so or not.

If you push and do this just a few times—why does the woman caress, centering upon the hand that lets go? Even when the man's hand has come away after letting go, she wants to caress.

Where does the man's hand that wants to caress go?

It gropes the navel, and in the navel, grime collects. Like the earwax, there is one layer, two layers, three layers. If one layer forms in ten years, then peeling off a thirty-year layer makes one think of what one used to eat through the navel, I tell you.

For this reason, if, caressing the navel, one becomes aroused, then the woman, stopping her caressing, centering upon the man's chin that looks down, takes the breast into the mouth and suckles, I tell you. Men, do not listen to my words, I tell you. You will become wind-stirrers. They say it is so. I do not know.

A Lecture Should Melt Them Down Within Three Hours

Do you know why Brazil is a nation of soccer?

If one uses this, the pelvis weakens, so one cannot play soccer. To play soccer, one must have strength in the pelvis so that the distance of a straight kick is far.

The name “Brazil” is “bul-al-jil” [the play of the testicles]. The bul-al-jil of love is Brazil. With a soccer name, having strength in the pelvis, they export soccer players abroad, and they say the profit is better than America's or Germany's.

Knowing such things, Reverend Moon formed a Cain–Abel soccer team in Brazil. This time, when we put our strength and effort into it, representing some sixty-odd soccer teams, it took first place.

When Reverend Moon goes to Brazil, since there come to be more people wanting to meet Reverend Moon than to meet the president, I—who dislike meeting people—do not want to go, I tell you.

Park Gu-bae likes that, does he not?

If he is made the manager of Brazil's soccer team, he will do well. Do not be discouraged. I gave a billion won, and you spent it all, did you not? You need money but cannot come and say so.

Even if it kills you, you cannot say it. Knowing this, Reverend Moon gave a billion won the other day, and when he said, “A billion seems like a lot, but as I spent it, many holes were bored through, so it went out here and went out there, and within not even a month it was all gone,” I said, “Then now you must die!”

Since for Park Gu-bae all the twists and turns of the road have been tunneled into level ground, he cannot but die. So, being kept even from going to Brazil, he has come to live in Heukseok-dong, has he not? (Yes.) Heukseok-dong! When I came to Seoul, I sought the worst place—it was Heukseok-dong.

Behind Heukseok-dong is Baekseok-dong, and so the finest Christian school, Soongsil University of Pyongyang, was relocated there. Because my secret place of prayer was quiet, a good spot for an afternoon nap when the sun begins to slant westward—there the main hall of Soongsil University was built, I tell you.

My, these people, knowing something, go searching about and follow at my heels, I tell you. However hard Christianity tries, it cannot stand before the Teacher.

Has Christianity not all collapsed now?

It cannot budge before the Unification Church, can it? Yun Jeong-ro, are Christian pastors fearsome? When he lectures, in how many hours do they melt down? (In three days, they melt down.) Three days—too many. A lecture should melt them down within three hours! Think so. Try it, I tell you.

Now I have the Washington rally, the New York rally... It is the Silverton and the South Point in Las Vegas. Those are Cain and Abel. Within Cain, too, there are a Cain and an Abel, and within Abel, too, there are a Cain and an Abel. Look there—it is the Bellagio. The Bellagio's symbol is the leopard. Do you know that it is the leopard that is good at preying upon lion cubs?

And then, what else is there?

There is the Mirage. What is that? It is a mirage. A city appears in the air. And then, what else is there? The Venetian—there is a secret island of pirates in the world of sandbar islands in the back alleys of England, and they say it is like that island. I have been there. When riding a gondola, the water depth is only about a foot. They made a lake and dug a river so a boat can run, and on the second floor of the Venetian in Las Vegas, there is a place to ride a gondola, and it is just like the old sandbar islands of England.

A sandbar island can be dug to more than a meter. The sand is easy to dig, and water seeps through well, but... how packed down it is, I cannot tell. For thousands of years, the sand has become like feldspar. Because white stones have crumbled to powder and piled up, once you go beyond one meter twenty centimeters, it is like a bedrock stone, so that even if you set down several thousand tons, it does not sink in, they say. Such is a sandbar island.

Pirates would go and bury treasure instantly, and even if one goes back ten years later, unless someone has dug it up, it does not vanish. Digging, not even a fathom deep, they hide the treasure. So what is called a treasure island refers to a sandbar island.

The Restoration of the Homeland and the Original Native Land

Looking at the nation of America, there is Seattle. The model frame for “seed” (ssi) is in Seattle. Do you know where the headquarters that manufactures the B-29, which can boast of America's scientific power, is? (It is in Seattle.)

Where in Seattle?

There is the Teacher's villa — I bought the finest villa, one that not even the senior staff of the B-29 headquarters could buy. To go in and out of there, one must always be verified by a watchman.

I cannot tell you how much I labored to buy that. For this reason, of the places said to be good in America, there is none where I have not bought land for my villa sites. A strange man, am I not? And of the places said to be fine, there is none I have not been to.

When I go into them and come out, however fine the place, I do not steal and cause loss, but always leave something behind! So the people who come there say, “My, Reverend Moon is a riddle of a man.” Reverend Moon is famous.

Then, what does Reverend Moon do?

Because the foundation for finding the nation could not be resolved, God has suffered until now; but if one could find the nation and achieve the Restoration of the homeland, the homeland in which the world's peoples lived is the original hometown.

The Restoration of the homeland, of course — and the place of that nation's birth is the original native land. The ancestral land where your forefathers are buried ought to have become your ancestors' patrimony, but it has not become so, has it?

Japan's history is not even three thousand years, is it?

As for Korea—not a four-thousand-year, five-thousand-year history, but an eight-thousand-year history—they hold proof, having dug up the gravesites of the Goryeo people who lived up to the ideal of an eight-thousand-year history. If they call this nation their root, will it stick in the throat or not? They could not digest it and spat it out.

Look. Is it the “Japanese person” or the “Japanese fellow”? Korean people do not say “the Japanese person.” I, too, by habit—though it is rude— always say “the Japanese fellow” rather than “the Japanese person.” I know Japan well, so I say one ought to say “the Japanese person,” I tell you. I came to know it by learning! I came to realize that it had gone wrong! So I say “the Japanese fellow” first. I will defeat Japan — whether wrestling or whatever, I will win, I tell you.

In speech, too, since no one can keep up with me in speaking Japanese fast, I have competed and won. I developed all of that. “Nake-mu-a”—I developed myself. I learned Japanese, and I speak Japanese faster than a Japanese person. The swallow that went south to Gangnam comes on Samjinnal, the third day of the third month, and must greet me before going to the ancestral rite, so that its way may be at ease. It goes “ji-ji-bae-bae, ji-ji-bae-bae,” I tell. Though one does not know what it is saying, it says it even while dropping its droppings, I tell you.

The lady of the house does not know and says, “Why is that thing chattering so?” Spring has come, and one must prepare rice cakes for the ancestral rite and press oil, but because all these preparations are not made, it chirps “ji-ji-bae-bae” that things have gone wrong, I tell you. It, too, having come hoping to get a bite of that, sits on the clothesline, and now, grown weary, the time has come when it may drop—yet, not even knowing that, the household does not prepare the ancestral rite for Samjinnal, the third day of the third month, I tell you. It hurls all manner of curses, while the people listen without knowing, I tell you.

When the swallow that went to Gangnam comes on Samjinnal, the third day of the third month, it greets us to prepare the rite by which we can seek the ancestors, I tell you. I heard that from my grandfather Yun-guk. Because such histories all exist in the old tales of China, it is an astonishing fact, I tell you.

In knowledge concerning such a world, I am ahead. And again, when I spoke about the things I murmured and asked of myself alone, they would say, “My, how do you know all that?”

The general summary of Confucianism is, “Origination, flourishing, benefit, and firmness (元亨利貞) are the constancy of the Way of Heaven (天道之常); benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom (仁義禮智) are the cardinal bonds of human nature (人性之綱).” He asked me to expound on it once.

Saying, “I think of it this way,” I expounded it, and my grandfather struck his knee and said, “Our household will not perish! You already know all the ideals I had been studying.”

What are “origination, flourishing, benefit, and firmness”?

The universe was created by a constituting power, and the unchanging heaven that moves is “the constancy of the Way of Heaven.” It is the path of heaven's play, and “benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom are the cardinal bonds of human nature”! What is “benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom”? “Benevolence” (仁) is two persons.

“Righteousness” (義) is the character meaning “righteous,” with “I/self” (我) beneath “sheep” (羊). “Propriety” is the character “ye” (禮), the radical “to show” (示) with “abundance” (豊).

What “ji” is the “ji”? Is it the character “ji” meaning “wisdom” (智), or the character “ji” meaning “to know” (知)? The character “wisdom” (智) is “sun” (日) beneath “to know” (知).

The radical of the character “to know” (知) refers to the arrowhead (矢). “The cardinal bonds of human nature” — it means the main rope of human beings, I tell you. What is that? What are the Three Bonds (三綱)? Are they not the bond for the individual, the bond for the nation, the bond for the world?

What are the Five Relations (五倫)?

There are five. “Affection between father and son” (父子有親)—Are father and son affectionate? They do not know the inner-and-outer oneness of father and son. “Distinction between husband and wife” (夫婦有別)—are a man and a woman different? There is even the saying, “From age seven, boys and girls do not sit together” (男女七歲不同席), but in it, there is no concept of love. Centering on the bloodline, they lost love.

So, Confucianism, which could not discover the personal God, cannot, within the club of religions, reach the place that, centering on Christianity, embraces the family ideal.

So, did Christianity not become the world's religion?

Such things are all known.

The Ideal World Centered on God's One Lineage

Then, what has Reverend Moon done up to now?

Chapters I through VI of the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong are chapters for finding the nation. There are Chapters I through XVI, and this whole — what is it? It is one self, if myself; you, if you — divided into sixteen parts and spread out, of what one person can record. Among human beings, all of humanity's five stages—from the babe in the womb to the boy, the youth, the middle-aged, the aged—are depicted.

What is the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong?

What Reverend Moon has drawn forth, Reverend Moon has spread out horizontally — all the facts drawn from within the womb. Spreading them out horizontally and dividing them into sixteen stages, what he has sought up to this place — how is it that these facts so match the prophetic content, I tell you. That is the conclusion.

The Parents of Heaven and Earth, the Cosmic Sabbath Realm—what is the Sabbath Realm?

There is the individual Sabbath Realm, and dimensions of the eight-stage Sabbath Realm — family, clan, people, and so on, I tell you. The levels are all different.

There are eight stages of different kinds, and the eight stages have been linked together. From Teacher Moon's life in the womb up to the place of God's realm of liberation, they have been linked.

Centering upon the Abel UN, when God and Reverend Moon's realm of the King's UN comes forth, then, centering upon a unified world, it cannot but become one.

The Teacher is one with the record of having read all the general content instantly, within a few hours—within three hours, or four hours—and concluded.

What human beings live over a whole lifetime until going to the heavenly kingdom, divided into eight parts, he has spread out horizontally. From birth, he knew the vertical foundation. Already at seven, ten years old, he understood all the trends of the world, I tell you.

Knowing the vertical standard and living out eight stages, the Teacher's life recorded just as it was—the record lived out in apportioned parts—is the Pyeong Hwa Hun Gyeong that the Teacher left behind. It is the character “to teach” (訓). The Hun Gyeong (訓經, the Teaching Scripture) is transmitted from above to below, like water flowing.

When I look at it, True Parents, having completed it in substance, attended God and became one, and centering upon the Abel UN, even the record of the Parents UN has been finished. Such is this day.

What was spoken of this morning is the announcement of the Abel UN. The victorious True Parents UN — the ideal world centered upon one lineage, unified, of liberation and release, eternal—a reign of great peace, eternal Mansei, and praise! Humanity's homeland and original native land have been completed! (Aju!)

You, too, must be reborn from the womb and carry on the valley that the Teacher walked. And so, to the place where the Teacher goes, connect the bloodline of sons and daughters, I tell you.

The authority of true lineage—what “gwon” is “gwon”?

It is not “domain,” but the character “gwon” (權), meaning “authority of power.” Holding the banner of the highest victory and supremacy of the whole, the comprehensive, the full authority, and the almighty, embracing heaven and earth in one bosom, there is nothing besides what is bound into one family of one love—Aju! So it becomes.

If you need your family, it says to live just so.

If you need the heavenly kingdom, it says to go just so. One goes through eight stages. From the fact of having come forth from the mother's womb, all the content is fully prepared. Between the real world and the spirit world, there is no boundary line. They are connected, plain at a glance.

Because it is thesis–antithesis–synthesis, they try to go ahead, but eventually they all bury one another alive, I tell you—if you become the chief. Wait and see whether it becomes so or not.

As I instruct, this time, upon arriving, within the ten days remaining, you are to meet Ban Ki-moon and, centering upon the UN ambassadors, the American governors, and state legislators, educate them, I tell you. Draw up a program, make an official document, go and meet them, lay it before them, and have them sign, I tell you.

If I send that, within the ten days, taking out three days, education could have been given; I see it. In preparing, having me write it out, did I instruct that, having faced George W. Bush and Ban Ki-moon, once they simply sign it, you are to send it off the next day and give the education within three days, or did I not? (You did.) Then why was it not done? Your thought is foremost! It is just like waiting to see and testing the Teacher. If you wait and see, you perish.

The Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong Must Be Regarded as More Important Than the Constitution

How are the sixteen books organized in here (the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong)? Through Chapters I, II, III, IV, V, VI, the Korean people must follow it all.

The Teacher spoke Chapters I, II, III, IV, and though it was done by the Teacher, you must know that the content of the future image to unfold in the historic age is spread out here just as it is. Now you will know it because you will come to your senses.

The book in which the Teacher — growing from infancy to ninety years of age, centering upon the horizontal, from a child up to God's liberation through eight stages—alone unraveled, fitting it to that law, and suitably expounded the content of a future image that no one else knew, was the Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong, I tell you. This is the constitution. Where is anyone who knew so? Because something is contained in it every single day, I do it.

The Teacher himself learns from it. Long ago, heaven taught it secretly, and he did it not even knowing that it had taught even the content I was to practice to this degree, I tell you.

Since the Unification Church people who followed me followed without knowing, I did this work without knowing it, yet the proven facts—as though done knowingly — must make their own theme. It is the original work of a theme that can take the place of the model, the place of the Teacher. It is the manuscript, I tell you. As for one who, not consulting it, casts it away — let him try dying and see where he gets caught! Do you understand?

Up to Chapters I, II, and III, having known all the secrets that I, as True Father, could know, I raised the mother. Meeting the mother and passing through a harsh, persecuted seven-year course and a fourteen-year course, passing through a twenty-one-year course—it is a living record of the struggle, I tell you. Read it and see whether it is so or not. Check it against the facts, I tell you.

So, from childhood, knowing nothing, I did it, matching vertically and horizontally, and all that the Teacher, not knowing, hoped for as the thing of the future came forth and worked—what of it? It is a record book that unravels the chronological relations of the life trodden and grown from of old.

So it is not a Pyeong Hwa Hun Gyeong, not a thing to flow away, but God's Shin Gyeong. “Shin” (神, the divine) is composed of the radical “to show” (示) with “to state/report” (申). It means the path of reporting, I tell you.

What records the path that the God of peace and True Parents show forth as the facts themselves is the Shin Gyeong, so this is more than a constitution.

Must it be regarded as important, or not?

Waking or sleeping, even more than eating, one must be absorbed in this. When the Teacher comes out, too, if I close my eyes and open them and read where it connects, centering on the middle finger, it is what is to be done today. How is it that it all matches so? It is wondrous.

Having returned here on the twenty-first, on the twenty-sixth, I went to Yeosu and Suncheon, and returning at night, from Chapter I until before eight in the morning, I read all of this. Is sleep the issue?

When settling the accounts of a lifetime, if there is any content like a lie or a thing of theft, one must tear it out. I said, “God, thank You. As I worked just as You taught, all the prophecies prophesied of old could not match so perfectly, as though strung on a thread.”

To respect the Teacher's life is not merely to memorize this book. Even more than food, more than sleeping and eating, more than coming and going — what must one do? It is a storehouse into which a treasure beyond “good and bad” has come.

It is just like the secret storehouse of the pirates' sandbar island. That's precious, I tell you. Do you understand? (Yes.) The content of the Message, this, I simply give to you.

In childhood, it taught me what I did not know — even the vertical history — and it taught me without my knowing. So, growing up, walking the school road in tears, in considerably lonely circumstances, it was heaven's guidance, hastening the material to educate me, myself, I tell you. Because I know that, the more I read, the more — how is it…? Though I read and read and read, it conveys even the secret world I had not known, all of it.

It is so for you, too. If you become absorbed in this and read it, you will know what you are to do. With your mouth, it tells you what to do the next day. Because I lived such a life, it has been loaded into the Hun Gyeong, which could thoroughly dig out and record the historic secrets, I tell you.

The Teacher regards it as a treasure, so you must pay an amount of indemnity (탕감) thousands and tens of thousands of times over—and yet you let this slip away as a laughingstock?

Let it slip and see what happens! Your whole kindred perishes. From your ancestors, the nation is set to perish. Search out whether it is so or not, I tell you.

I Have Told You Everything About How to Develop the Unified World

From Chapter I, it is Chapter V, and Chapters VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI. Look. It is I, II, III, IV, V, VI. Up to Chapter VI, it is connected even to the scientific world.

What concentrates the cutting-edge technology of the era of cosmic science is the helicopter. What bound Reverend Moon and the Sikorsky company in a bond that cannot be broken is not even something Reverend Moon did. Heaven made it so.

Now then, within the Message of Chapters I through VI, all such content is contained. The question is what becomes of Korea. Chapters I and II raise the mother — the father raising the mother and, centering upon the world's 120 nations, lifting the mother to the place where I stand. This is not merely two persons. Centering upon the realm of the three generations, it is from the era of the grandfather.

Coming to know our household, it is a family that God chose. It is not a thing to be spoken of, but… Research this, I tell you — whether such a history exists or not! Do you understand? Inquiring into how the content up to Chapter VI is composed, what I can feel there, what can open the door, is “any-which-way.” If, having developed myself, I go even to a place that does not exist, heaven teaches me. It is so even now.

Reverend Moon, the returning Lord, True Parents — how do they handle this end? How will they develop this world of chaos into a unified world? It is a riddle.

However, one tries, it is not resolved. So that it can all be resolved, I have now told it all. I have told everything, to the point that there is nothing left to teach.

The Inherited Record of the Teacher's History

Now then, Chapters I through VI are the responsibility of the mother and father.

They are the responsibility of the three generations. What is Chapter III? There are 286 surnames. I gave education to the ancestors of the surnames three times each, so they could not make excuses. Because that was done, centering upon one envoy and the kindred of one surname, the nation can be saved.

So, the whole kindred of one envoy — from the babe in the womb to the ancestor laid upon the seven-star board, about to be buried — must all be blessed. It is so arranged that not even one person may be left unblessed.

Passing through Chapters I, II, and III, the Holy Wine (성주) was given to forty-eight million. From an external standard, centering upon an internal standard, even to those who did not know, the Holy Wine was given, and after completing forty-eight million, what was taught was the Mongol race. To bless the Mongolian spot and, planting the banner, expand even to the 6.5 billion of humanity—that is the content of Chapter IV.

Going there, it comes out that Satan made into rags the six kinds of women — the queen-like woman, the grandmother-like woman, the mother-like woman, the wife-like woman, and even the twin elder and younger daughters. What has become rags, not having become absoluteness, must be made into absoluteness, I tell you. Chapter X is absoluteness.

Up to Chapter VI is one stage, I tell you. The era of the individual, the era of the family, the era of the clan, the era of the people, the era of the nation—because the hill up to the era of the nation could not be crossed, even Jesus could not achieve completion, and God's desire could not be fulfilled.

God's Restoration of the homeland, the unified nation, a nation centered upon the realm of oneness connected to God's love, lineage, and life—has never been governed. It is to find this, the Teacher alone. Receiving the world's opposition, alone, he has made everything so that one can cross all the way here.

Centering upon the year 1945 of the Liberation, how old is the Teacher? He is twenty-five. There is the history of his graduating from school, coming over to Korea, and pioneering a church in Heukseok-dong. Before the Liberation, he served prison time in Seoul. Having been investigated, he was put into prison. It was before the Liberation. He remembers such historic facts.

All the record of going to prison, and all that he suffered through, going to Heungnam after receiving opposition—why does God put through such hardship the One who is to become the coming returning Lord, the only begotten son whom God most dearly loves, the host of the marriage supper of the Lamb?

They do not know that meaning at all. Because I know it, I tried to cross the world quickly and finish it all before turning thirty-three, at twenty-seven, twenty-eight. I moved so. You must know that.

What is up to Chapter VI here?

It is the Teacher alone knowing all the secrets of heaven and finds the mother. From divorcing the first mother until meeting the second mother, I consumed fourteen years after the Liberation as a period of living alone, in which I could put the Word in order. It is staggering! I do not speak of it, I tell you.

This is the living record of the Teacher's history. It is an inherited record. By a crime committed in the Teacher's lifetime, in one generation, even if it would have taken tens of millions of years, it is finished in one generation. It is done within twelve years. Centering upon the number twelve of the twelve tribes, it is ten, eleven, twelve.

By January 13, 2013—centering upon 2013, by January 13 — everything must be finished. Do you know how I hurry? One must fit thousands of years of history into it.

All such secret twists, the turn after turn, are hidden in the shade behind the Teacher's path, I tell you. There ought to be some subjective content by which one could weep and console such a Teacher, by which, even in following, one could console the father—but must one only be a burden? If a son has grown, I tell you.

When an individual has a plight more pitiable than mine, I help. I am such a person. When it is more pitiable than mine, notorious throughout the village, at any time I set my heart and help secretly.

When the sons and daughters of an enemy, of one who betrayed, had nothing to eat, I even bought a sack of rice for them and paid their school fees secretly. Living so, they all say they prosper and then perish. They are taken away from among us.

I came to know that such blessings, taken away, are piled up into the Unification Church. It is fearsome. Coming to know that to bear indemnity in another's place is fearsome, I know it. You must know that. For this reason, of any intent to use you, there is not even this much.

The Place That Can Become the World's Homeland Is the Native Land Where the Returning Lord Was Born

Reading Chapters I through VI a thousand times, ten thousand times, striking the ground, unable to straighten the back, wailing in sorrow, soaking the room with blood — there is a history of tears so great that, even after rolling back the floor-mat (a mat woven of reed or sorghum husks, laid out in the room), one cannot but scrape away even the floor beneath it. There is nothing to console it. So, even without speaking deeper words, you will understand.

On January 15, there will be a joint rally of the Abel UN and the Cain UN. Even if it is decided that it is all the same whether it is done or not, it more than fulfills the responsibility toward the UN. And then, on the afternoon of the fifteenth, at the place where the Abel UN and the Cain UN have become one, the Abel Secretary-General meets with Ban Ki-moon.

Centering upon that foundation, the regional kings, the Ambassadors for Peace, and then the Cain UN ambassadors and the Abel UN ambassadors must unite and hold the coronation of the True God and True Parents. It is the final ceremony.

Centering upon the realm of the True Parents UN of peace, God comes forth. Because it becomes such a nation, the whole world is not the founding of a nation with three-power separation centering on the heavenly kingdom's constitution. It is a five-power separation. Into this enter the press and the banking sector. Starting from eight, it is eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. Finishing in the twelfth year, on January 13 of the thirteenth year, everything is settled.

Chapter VI concerns aviation technology centered upon Korea, and there is a promise that America's secret technology must be transferred to Korea. Then three billion people will live. In unifying the Asian Mongol race, there is nothing in the world to fear.

Chapters I and II correspond to the three generations, including the mother and father, and centering upon Chapter III, the 48 million Korean people are all those who have completed the Holy Wine Ceremony. What is connected at the end of that? Going into Chapter IV, it is the Mongols who have the Mongolian spot. We pledge to make brethren of the Mongols, who are seventy-four percent of the 6.5 billion of humanity.

Even that, Satan ruined entirely—wholly, comprehensively, with full authority. There is nothing more to ruin beyond making it free sex, I tell you. The queen, the grandmother, the mother, the wife, the twin elder and younger daughters.

From God's wife, from the queen, from the grandmother, from the mother, from one's own wife, to the elder and younger daughters. He trampled upon what represents the seven women, I tell you. There is much history of placing such women — through one bloodline, in one place—and trampling upon them and burying them alive, I tell you. How can Reverend Moon, who knows such things, endure?

Up to Chapter VI, that comes to an end; and Chapter VII — because the standard by which the people can live, by which the Restoration of the homeland and the hometown can be found, is determined — it saves the world.

Where is the place that can become the world's homeland?

It is the native land where the coming, returning Lord was born. Reverend Moon's hometown is North Pyongan Province. It is a place that can connect at the closest distance to Manchuria. Because one can make the division centering upon Lüshun and Mt. Baekdu, Sinuiju and Yongampo, it is a place where wars break out.

The Russo-Japanese War began at Jeongju Fortress. It is such an important place. Research it, I tell you.

How is it that all the anecdotes left there so resemble the riddle-words of today's history of Restoration?

Not only the proper nouns, but the facts match. I am astonished. Seeing such things, I am afraid to go freely in and out of my hometown.

One must visit one's ancestors' native land! It is not just three times. Even doing it once every ten years, by the time one is a hundred years old, one ought to go ten times!

So, one must do it so as not to fall behind the ancestors who put their devotion there, I tell you.

Since I have raised and brought the world's victorious supremacy, centering upon the Abel UN, until the Parents UN appears, with intensified patriotism, one must seek the hometown and protect one's kinsmen, I tell you. As the record of history grows forth, one must become one who can add to it — you must think on that.

Without Bringing Satan to Natural Surrender, There Can Be No Liberated, Free Heaven and Earth

Now then, up to Chapter VI, it is so. From Chapter VI, look—it is VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI. These ten chapters have paved the way to bind, as blood kindred, the people scattered among all nations, centering upon the world. For this reason, from the babe in the womb up to the one laid upon the seven-star board, before being carried to the public cemetery, onto the bier—what does one do? From the front gate of the heavenly kingdom to the back gate, until I grow and go, taking this over as the form of one's own model family, one must complete the chronological organization.

You must consider that, centering upon the history of the Unification Church, even after a thousand years, it is a victorious record that accords with the Teacher's life, which linked the content from birth to death into the eight-stage process. So one must not omit anything.

Do you understand?

Up to Chapter VI is the framing of the Restoration of the homeland in this nation; and proceeding through VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV — Chapter XIV is the text of the Pledge.

When reciting the text of the Pledge, what must one always do?

On the morning of Ahn Shil Il (안시일), at the Hoon Dok Hae (훈독회), one must always play the recording of Chapter XIV, in which the Teacher expounded the Family Pledge, and critique and analyze oneself. As a theme by which one can always compare and analyze where one stands, read it repeatedly, I tell you. It is not a Family Pledge to be passed over as a laughingstock, I tell you. Do you understand? It is serious content.

Not forgetting that, even when I am not there, one must hold to this and live—cherishing the theme of “creation and completion,” hundreds of times more precious than when I am present, longing for one model of an ancestor, so that there be not a few percent of difference.

With the heart of “I must tread and go even to the regions that the living True Parents, in the history of the ideal they fulfilled, did not reach,” one must possess this and live, I tell you. It is the Shin Gyeong. It is more fearsome than the heavenly kingdom's constitution. It is the path the God of peace walks.

If you only know that, know that I am transmitting the entire core of today's Message. Up to Chapter VI is the way our nation is to go. Within it, of course, the seventy million who live there—and even the 6.5 billion of humanity centering upon the Mongolian spot, as the Cain world that inherited the elder brother's bloodline—we must take responsibility, redeem them in their stead, and save them. You must know this.

So, how is the four-chapter text of the Pledge composed?

The four great realms of heart, the three great kingships, and then what is the realm of the royal family?

Saving even the Cain world, setting in order what overturned the bond of brotherhood, the original place—at the same time that the younger brother becomes the elder brother, the elder brother attends the younger brother in place of God, and only when an environment is formed in which one can attend in the original place, centering upon absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, does one settle.

Those Who Have Found the Homeland's Original Hometown Must Also Save the Rest of Their Kindred

Now you yourselves must establish the nation—who else will establish it? My work is all finished. Is it finished, or not? (It is finished.) It is finished.

Now, through the organization of the Abel UN, I tell you to make offerings as well. Reverend Moon, too, takes the lead in making offerings and leaves a record of service.
